    Jay Beagle - 17 - Male - Army Recruit
It didn't stop the boy. Jay just looked behind him, seeing his roommate and rolling his eyes. "I do hope you weren't trying to trip me up. Because I wear tightly laced military boots for that reason." He informed her, but he gave a nod of greeting anyway.

    Grey Daedra - 15 - Female - Dark Magus
"Yeah! I wonder if we'll be partnered together?"

  • Lee shrugged to Grey with a grin, going to sit down somewhere. "I hope! You seem cool." They tucked their fuchsia hair behind their ear, and sat down near the front. They liked to be right up near the person talking.

Henry glanced up as he saw Evangeline enter the cafeteria. Right. He saw her looking dizzy earlier. He didn't like her, but he didn't like not doing anything, so he decided to approach her. Also, she was fun to argue with. The other teacher, Dr. Evans, was just annoying. He stepped up to her, facing the crowd awkwardly. He glanced up at her, noting with annoyance that he did have to glance up, since he was shorter than her. "Sorry for ruining your shirt earlier, or whatever, but are you feeling okay? You seem to be kind of... dizzy, or something. Do you ever get migraines?" His voice didn't sound particularly concerned, but that was just how he was-- he found it harder to show how he was feeling than to just speak in deadpan.

Silaluk stepped towards the auditorium, unsure, looking around at the others around her. She realized she didn't know anyone very well, and looked around nervously, before seeing Manolo. Not wanting to wave, since she was kind of socially awkward, she just walked quickly over to him, and poked him on the shoulder. "Hi," she said.

  • Manolo

Manolo glanced at the person who had poked his arm, about to gently scowl at the person that touching wasn't ok but after seeing who it was, let the out a sigh."Hi." He greeted and looked around."What do you think this is about?"

    Bella

Bella enteres the building and stood by the door with Miguel, standing and waiting.

  • Ieyasu Tokugawa

Ieyasu had a strict walk as he headed towards the designated area that was told over the announcements. Though his eyes were trained perfectly ahead of him, he let his ears wonder when listening to what others said as he strutted down the hallway. He picked up something about a trip. He wasn't sure where, or for what, but he knew that would be decently convenient for him. Since he was such a new student, he hadn't had time to unpack his things in his dorm room. Thus moving them would be generally easy. Yet, the concept of being thrown somewhere new right after arriving at this school, was slightly unnerving. Though he didn't like for that to show very much. He was such a strange child. Confident where ever he went, but trusting to almost no one. Yet on the inside he was usually very careful about what he chose to do, unless he got very passionate, and jumped to a terrible conclusion. Which has sadly happened before.

He finally made his way to the waiting place. Students were filtering in and teachers were watching everywhere. Ieyasu reached up and adjusted the collar on his uniform and walked in after everyone. As he did so, a smile was placed on his face. However, something about this smile seemed fake, not genuine. Instead of seeming warm and welcoming, it was chilling, almost threatening. But not quite. He could put on a smile that would win over an ally, but he felt no need to do that now. It faltered slightly at the thought of his mother and father, but either way he knew he would learn to become a good leader here. But he wouldn't become soft. He would have to understand the difference. Either way, he picked a spot that wasn't particularly right next to anyone. He sat with his back straight, crossing his legs and folding his hands in his lap. "I hope they get on with this soon..." He hissed to himself.

  • Jay Beagle - 17 - Male - Army Recruit
Jay couldn't help but notice the archer, striding through the halls confidently. The smile the guy put on was fake, Jay noticed, too bright and cheery. The Army recruit shook his head. Subterfuge and hiding intentions were only for those who didn't have the power to force others to follow their plans. Cheap tactics lead nowhere but defeat.

    Grey Daedra - 15 - Female - Dark Magus
Grey shrugged as she sat down next to Lee. "Yeah, I guess I am. Not like anyone really cares." She sighed as she twirled her braided hair. "Where's Uncle Max when I need him?" She muttered, almost surprised to hear herself wishing for someone who really understood her.

ic: Bessie stood at the podium, tapping the microphone, until there was no more talking. Her firm gaze scanned over the students like a radar, before deciding no one had to be punished at the moment, and beginning to speak. "We have received information from a few sources that a large school of abnormal students have traveled to a small abnormal village. This is going to be your first mission in hunting the abnormal. This school has been known to cause disturbances, so it must be reduced, in order to make sure they are aware of our strength. This isn't a killing mission. This is a subduing and capturing mission. The killing mission will come if they refuse to comply." She paused, letting the heaviness of this sink in. "You will leave tonight. You are separated into groups with a faculty advisor for each group. Even in your group, stick with your roommate. They are your partner. If you are hurt, they will be able to help you. Don't separate."

  • Ieyasu Tokugawa

Ieyasu was relieved to see that the meeting had started relitively quickly. At least he could rely on this school for something like this, not wasting his precious time. His position was un-moving, his small cold smile still resting on his face. He felt a pair of eyes on him, even if it was only momentarily. He decided to turn his head around some, seeing if he could meet the eyes of the one that was analyzing him. He wasn't too surprised this was happening. He was knew after all, and no one here knew of him or his intentions. For a moment, he caught the gaze of an army recruit, which he would later find to be named Jay. The eye contact was broken as soon as it was formed as Ieyasu refocused his attention on the person speaking. He made a small note of his person, but gave no further action to it.

His cold smile turned a little more genuine when the true news was announced, it was indeed a trip. A mission trip none the less. A small spark ignited in his chest for a single moment. As he had just arrived at this school he had very little training in their ways. He wasn't sure what was acceptable or not to them when approaching an abnormal. He wanted most of all for it to be in the liens of what his father expected from him. So when the detail was added on that it was a subduing mission and not a killing mission, he felt a little relief swirl into his stomach. The whole reason he came here was to learn when to kill and when not to kill. If he wasn't supposed to kill in the first place, then he decided it wasn't worthy to worry about. Even if it could reach that, he would know when to defend himself.

He slightly wondered who his little group would be, and which staff member would be assisting them in the journey. Many different things could become of people with many different possible personalities. Though one thing caught his curiosity. There was something spoken about a roommate, they would have the responsibility of helping you out. He thought for a moment if he should question it. He believed that he would be able to take care of himself just fine. He didn't want to fear them after what had happened to his clan. He wanted to be stronger than them. But... is that what his father would want him to think? He sighed lightly to himself. Probably not. He'd want him to learn cooperation and what not. He reluctantly raised his hand, that smile of his from earlier completely gone now. Looking over the person who was speaking to them, he assuming that talking outright wouldn't be something they would approve of. So with another sigh, he waited slightly impatiently to be called upon.

  • Naomi Romello--16--Prideful Italian

Chocolate orbs rolled at Jay’s informative description of his lace-up boots. Naomi stepped away from the recruit with a small huff, arms crossing as she fell in at his side in a rather haughty manner. She flicked a sidelong glance at him and opened her mouth surely to reply, but the retort was quickly cut short as the headmaster’s voice rang across the students. The half-demon listened intently, head tilting at the mission details. The 16 year old nodded, gaze lifting to pause at the ceiling while she drifted into aimless thought. Her nose wrinkled. This trip was certainly a surprise, especially considering the fact that this was only their first day. A small smirk crossed her features. Of course they were participating in such a dangerous mission so soon; this was Warren. If you couldn’t keep up, then you d*mn well shouldn’t have been there. It was the mention of groups that finally tripped the dauntless girl up. She jerked her head to stare blankly at her roommate, eyebrows knitting in subtle annoyance. They were going to force her to work with stoic soldier boy here? Naomi groaned, pinching her nose when Bessie finished the briefing. She stayed like this for a few more moments before letting her hands fall to rest on their classic, commanding sort of position on her hips. She turned to face Jay, smiling tightly. “ Of course I was trying to trip you,” She leaned sideways to observe his boots before resuming an aloof eye contact. “Just testing your reflexes Owen--we’re going to be working together you know, ” She tossed her head back. “I can’t have you slowing me down.”

    Asher Phillips--17--Hopeless Civilian

Asher stumbled back from the impact of his collision with Kuroh, eye widening as his classmate lurched around to face him with a frickin’ ball of fire blazing in his palm. “h-HEY WOAH woah,” The raggedy boy threw his hands up in a hurried defense, fumbling and away back from his roommate swiftly. At Kuroh’s recognition the bandaged boy sighed heavily, shoulders relaxing. “Yeah, that’s me.” He brushed himself off while the boy in front of him continued to speak. Hunting? Asher stopped abruptly, hands pausing their dusting. “We’re...Hunting?” He gave him probably the most confused gaze he could muster. “What’re we hunting? Deer?” As soon as the ridiculous inquiry left his lips, a woman started addressing the entire crowd. Phillips listened to Bessie’s speech without a single reaction. Only when she’d finished did her finally move. His gaze darkened, shoulders hunching in defeat. Hunting highly dangerous abnormals? He turned briefly to Kuroh. Hunting dangerous abnormals with his roommate who had the surprising tendency to light his body on fire? Asher’s knees bent and he swayed, defeat written clearly on his face. The poor civilian looked as though he’d topple at the slightest poke. He seemed doomed to die today.

    Evangeline Strauss--27--Smoker Mom

Evangeline jumped as new words addressed her, cobalt visionaries swiveling to focus on none other than Henry West. She hadn’t seemed to acknowledge the man’s presence until he addressed her. Strauss’s eyes narrowed on Henry like a skilled sniper zeroing in on their target. “Oh hello Henry! My apologies, I hadn’t seen you!” The women placed a hand on the wall as she leered down at him, head nodding vigorously as he apologized. “Ah yes, my shirt,” She sighed as though mourning the loss of a dear friend. “You’ll have to make it up to me sometime….Maybe teach a full school day for me so I can get out of this D*mn place and find a bar or somethin--” She stopped speaking when he continued.

“Or whatever, but are you feeling okay? You seem to be kind of... dizzy, or something. Do you ever get migraines?"

Evangeline lifted away from the wall to level her gaze at Henry. Asher would’ve handled a question like this with much fumbling and a confused web of twisted lies. Luckily this woman was much cooler than her brother. A blinding smile crossed her weathered features before she crouched slightly to get on Henry’s level. The act was a condescending one, and of course she’d done it on purpose. For a single moment Strauss looked completely serious. “Henry, listen…” Evangeline paused to glance around before focusing on the doctor again, seeming as though she might be about to divulge her deepest secret to him. The infuriating woman lifted a single finger, and before the doctor had time to react, gave him a swift poke in the nose. “Don’t you worry your little head about me!” She grinned tightly, and there was a warning buried somewhere in those easy words
. “I only get migraines when I’m forced to deal with you that early in the morning.”

  • Jay Beagle - 17 - Male - Army Recruit
Jay glanced at his roommate, then looked forward, eyes on Bessie as she read the briefing for the mission. "Well, you must have been making a joke, because that's not how you trip people," he whispered, after Bessie finished. "That is the worst possible way you could trip someone." He was right, there were much better ways to trip someone up from behind. "Besides, if you had the opportunity to trip someone from behind, why not just take them out?"

  • Henry crossed his arms, deciding that this was the absolute last time that he was going to be nice to someone without any good reason to. The last. Evangeline Strauss had ruined it for everyone else-- not that he was often inclined to do it anyway. She poked him in the nose. Her reaction sent him scrambling for words for a second, his first thought being that she was hiding something, but he quickly reminded himself he didn't want to tell her that. "Okay," he said, forced calm in his voice. "Well, Strauss--" He realized suddenly the headmaster was talking, and he lowered his voice. "If you ever need an aspirin, for your headaches," His whisper became more strained, like a mother to an unruly child at a funeral. "I'll bet there's a CVS within a few hours of here." He turned away rather dramatically, then, suddenly thinking of an even better comeback, hissed, "And a hospital'll pick you up in a helicopter, b*tch."

Bessie, hearing talking in between her words, paused, fixating her audience with a heavy look, glaring daggers at those who interrupted her. After a slow scan of the auditorium like a radar on a German submarine, she continued, slowly. "You will each receive a packet with information about the known species in this school. Some are unknown. Take extra care if you do not know their species. Don't let them catch you off your guard." She looked around again. "At this point, you should all head to the armory. You will receive weapons there."

  • Naomi Romello--16--Prideful Italian

“Where’s the honor in subduing an unsuspecting victim from behind?” Naomi wasn’t exactly sure how it had happened. She wasn’t sure why when as soon as the words left her lips she became a swift-moving Italian blur. This was a terrible idea. They were amidst the middle of an important meeting--the headmaster was speaking and she should’ve been listening at attention. They'd already been silently reprimanded once.....But none of that seemed to matter much. Luckily she only moved when Bessie had finished, but that small factor wouldn't make her actions any more acceptable. The girl felt confused as her body acted on an unbelievable whim, muscles bunching before launching her sideways at an abnormal speed. The half Bull Demon drew her arm back, an unbelievable grin flashing hotly. She’d volleyed a little ways into the air, heading towards none other than her lovely companion without so much as a warning noise. You could partially attribute it to Mr. Beagle’s words. Actually, it was really just Jay in general. After all, to the former PIBI Agent this boy’s words had come across like a subtle challenge. As he spoke to her of her failure an its tactical obsurdity, the Italian’s features grew completely empty. Yet her eyes danced with an experimental light. That same wild brightness had led to her current actions. Jay had done nothing but speak to her; she had yet to receive one single reaction from the student besides glances with his shaded blue eyes and the informative ring of his depthless words. Naomi couldn’t explain it, but she was overcome with a need to see him slip up. What was he hiding? Surely he was capable of some emotion? Romello considered herself a volatile sort of scientist, and her roommate was quickly becoming a subject of keen interest.

    Now back to her confusion.

Naomi hadn’t actually decided to do anything, but as her body flew at Jay’s side on its own, she quickly got with the program. Chocolate orbs sharpened. Her smile dissolved into a look of focused resolve. She was going to trip this soldier, or get expelled trying. The girl’s drawn arm snapped forward as though she might sock her classmate at his lower jaw from the adjacent angle, but the fist stopped just short. A small puff of air followed the halted fist when she spun simultaneously, touching down lightly in front of the recruit. The faux punch had been a mere distraction. She moved in one fluid motion, the action barely noticeable to the naked eye. The BullDemon twisted to throw out an aimed kick towards Beagle’s precious army boots--aiming to fully and completely kick her apathetic roommate off his planted feet.

  • (I... I don't know where I want this to go. XD)

    Jay Beagle - 17 - Male - Army Recruit
The punch took the recruit by a bit of surprise. He certainly never expected his roommate to attack him outside of class. He cursed himself for lax thinking, planting his right boot back as he prepared to catch the punch. He was pleasantly surprised again when it stopped mere millimeters from his jaw. His eyes caught the glimmer of movement as her foot shot towards his. Gods, she was fast! He couldn't dare focus on anything else, or lose his concentration. Nor could he underestimate the Italian. He quickly grabbed two random shoulders nearby with his hands and pushed down and back, catapulting himself away quickly, out of the range of her kick. He glanced up at the podium, hoping that none of the faculty had seen the attack, nor the hasty backpedalling. If they had, certainly it would not be very good. For either student. He balled his fists, lowering his stance to prepare for another kick. And this time, he would not be fooled so easily. He wasn't so sure about why she was attacking him. Had she gone mad? If so, she would have to be disabled quickly and with her unharmed. Just anger? Ride it out, avoid it, and try to escape punishment. She would be gone soon enough.

    Grey Daedra - 15 - Female - Dark Magus
"Hey, Lee, check it out. Souja boy and Pasta chick are fighting," she informed her roommate, her keen eye having noticed the moves through the crowd of students.

Dr. Drew Evans - 26 - Male - Tech Teacher and Cyborg
Drew's eyes didn't notice the fight, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw a green shirt move. Nothing looked out of place, but his glasses were so thick that the cyborg teacher probably couldn't see much anyway outside of extreme movements. "Say, Strauss, did you see that?" he whispered quietly as he dared, trying to focus in on what had happened. "Someone moved..."

John Constable - 34 - Male - Guidance Counselor and Metal Magus

John, on the other hand, was already reaching for his metals, preparing to break up the fight if it posed a legitimate threat to the other students, or if and when Bessie told him to. He dared not speak, for he knew that Bessie had seen it too. The headmaster may have been old, but John knew her to be the sharpest Hunter in the school.

Honestly I have no idea. Maybe other kids join in? Maybe somebody knocks Naomi right the F*ck out? I dunno. BUT. I have plans for Naomi regarding Jay. BIG PLANS.

    Ic--/

    Evangeline Strauss--27--Smoker Mom

Strauss seemed disappointed by his lack of an outraged reaction, but perked slightly when he continued to speak past the CVS comment. Evangeline blinked once. Then she blinked again, face a tidied picture of complete surprise before Henry swooped back around, and suddenly the teacher was laughing. Big, gut-busting titters shook tears from her eyes and jostled her shoulders. Arms clutched at her sides, laughs still clucking out her mouth in much the same manner as a strangled chicken might loudly squawk. West was a sassy one, that was for D*mn sure. Her tickled chortles died down and clipped out as Bessie regained control of the meeting, scarred fingers lifting to wipe the last bit of escaped liquid from under her eyes. She turned when Evan’s inquired of her, her own gaze swiveling to observe the crowd. She spotted them almost immediately, eyes touching briefly on the form of a clean-cut looking student who’d just shoved himself into the air and whipped to glance at the podium. What had he scrambled away from? The woman’s cranium titled slightly, bushy blonde locks falling about her side. ….A girl? Evangeline found Naomi easily, clearly the girl had just missed a kick. Now, the woman wasn’t exactly sexist, but she found herself rooting for the girl here. Strauss turned back to Evan’s question with a confused look “I don’t see anything Evans--just another important meeting full of doo-gooder snots.” A sympathetic smile crossed her features and she leaned to give him a sideways glance, “You really should get those glasses checked out Drew, I'm sure our great friend Henry could give you a mediocre eye exam.”

    Naomi Romello--16--Prideful Italian

Well, his reflexes checked out. Naomi’s lithe body moved with the missed kick, torso curving as her feet planted on the ground again. Her hair had thoroughly shook from its done-up style, wild mahogany curls dropping to fan around her shoulders. The unconcerned student had knocked her large black glasses off somewhere along the way, but none of that mattered now. She couldn’t give him time to recover. “Owen Jason Beagle!” There came the full name again, her tone having lost all concern for discreteness. With her outburst came the half-demon herself, heels barely kicking against the tiled floor as she flew towards said boy at a complete full-frontal assault. Romello was lightning, her heritage aiding the speed. The path to him was now clogged by two other confused students however, but she’d use this cover to her advantage. With them in his line of sight, Naomi changed direction to slip flexibly into the swath of students around them. Her slight frame was immediately swallowed up by the shifting crowd, and for a few moments all was still.

It took five seconds. Romello was just a few feet short of Jay. There crouched a boy who’d apparently stopped to tie his shoe directly in her way. The girl smirked. Her knees cracked as she shot forward without a second thought and stepped up onto the boy’s back. She then used the sturdy surface to propel herself higher than the other students and directly at Beagle with a surprised noise from the boy. She exploded from her body-aided cover with a hope for the element of surprise. Naomi had learned this tactic from her father--it wasn’t the clean and precise move of an agent, but rather the gleeful leap of a fiery demon. She would collide with Jay--that was the point. She didn’t know if the boy had a personal bubble, but if he did, it was about to be effectively nuked. She didn’t hit his right side with much force, but rather threw out an arm to wrap around his neck, skinny fingers anchoring into his shoulder as she swung with the impact. Time seemed to slow when the girl made and uncomfortably close eye contact, face mere inches from his. The Italian continued her earlier exclamation, “I’m going to trip you.” Nothing but clarity resided in her gaze--She wasn't mad or angry but rather seemed.....Happy. the girl used this close hold to swing herself around his back, this time using her falling weight to aim both of her feet at the highly collapsable backs of his kneecaps, and hopefully pull him to the ground. Nevermind that she'd probably be squashed in either outcome should the two foot kicks actually work.

  • (Ice bear has never before been put so well.)

    Jay Beagle - 17 - Male - Army Recruit
Jay spread his feet, ready to defend against the mad girl's rush, only for her to disappear. He didn't dare move, his eyes flicking about as he waited for the beat of a heart that might tell him where his foe had gone. The crowd had almost literally swallowed her. He heard the faint clicking of heels, and turned to see Naomi, glasses missing, hair flying behind her like a big brown cape, grinning like a teen who had just met her favorite star. Which is probably about how she felt at the moment, too. At least he had the reflexes to throw an arm up in between her elbow and his neck, possibly saving his life as she swung around him. Her momentum was forceful, and it nearly spun the soldier around as Jay shifted his weight. And realized too late that he shouldn't have done that. As quickly as he could, although not quite quick enough, Jay lifted his feet and let the centrifugal force take him. When he left ground, the only thing heading towards the ground was Naomi's feet, and she would be off-balance from her forceful kick. Which, amazingly, had connected. With the heels of his boots. With Naomi's back to the ground, and Jay using her chokehold as a pivot point to land on top of her he found himself face-to-face with his partner and roommate. From the corner of his lips arose a smile. A small one, but a smile nonetheless. A reward for her.

Dr. Drew Evans - 26 - Male - Tech Teacher and Cyborg
"Ha. Ha," the tech teacher said unamusingly. His cyborg hand reached up and slipped his glasses off as his other hand grabbed a different pair of glasses that had been hiding in his pocket. This pair was cleaner, more futuristic. They were slipped onto his white face, and instantly the futuristic glasses beamed to life, throwing words through tiny frames at the Doctor. Every student was being analyzed, the scene playing out in front of him. "Like the man with many hats, I have many tools at my disposal," He snidely remarked, as two small placards shone through the lenses; Students Naomi Romello and Owen Beagle. Roommates, as luck would have it. He sighed, rubbing the left side of his face.

John Constable - 34 - Male - Guidance Counselor and Metal Magus

  • A loud laugh escaped Kuroh's lips once his roomate spoke. "'Deer'! Very funny, Asher." the green eyed boy's lips closed and formed a smirk when he saw his partner's express falter, he wrapped his arm around his shoulder and pulled him in. "Don't worry, kid. I'll keep you safe! You know how to shoot a gun, right? Because I'm gonna need you to have my back--" before he could finish, he turned to see what could only be a fight breaking out. "Huh? When the hell did this start?"
