    YURI MUZIKANT

[center][fancypost=bgcolor=; borderwidth=0%; bordercolor=; width:65%;] The kitten nuzzled past the long leaves of the jungle plants settled on the damp ground. The overgrown forest was ginormous compared to his tiny striped body. It was a sea of greenery and he was the smallest of vessels. The humming of insects and other more distant and frightening noises of unknown creatures moving in the trees and through the undergrowth met his ears. Despite this, the angora pressed on. Uncertainty clouded his eyes only when he let it catch up to him and then he would pause mid-step with a shaky paw up in the air, shake it away, and keep stepping. He felt like he could be comfortable here. The jungle reminded him of a place that he had once known but perhaps only in a dream. It seemed real, however, and for some reason he felt like he loved jungle flowers very much, yet he had not seen one yet.

Presently he was struggling a little. He had the murky memory of a parent or parents- a hyena and maybe a smiling tomcat. The subject of parents was an uncertain one and all that he knew for sure was that he was alone and had been alone for a while. The distinct smell of a group of creatures was ahead and vaguely he knew what a clan or group was, but had he ever been a part of one? The smell was unfamiliar to his small nose and he could not determine who it belonged to; consequently he had no knowledge of possible danger. The pudgy tom walked into the Cartel’s domain without a care. His manners were lacking and he only wished to find food to eat or prey to catch – if he wasn’t the smallest thing in this jungle anyway.

The sound of slow moving water was emitted nearby and a vivid color suddenly caught his eye. He set a hunter’s gaze upon an orange and black frog perched upon a leaf. Excitement gleamed in the young cat’s eyes as he crouched down and prepared to pounce. ”Ha-rr!” He growled in a puny battle cry as he flung himself at the attentive frog. With a powerful leap the prey was out of reach and the kitten – with a splash – was halfway inside a slow flowing creek. The tabby clutched the bank with thin claws and shouted in denial in a moment of panic. His forepaws pulled him to safety easily as the threat of the lazy flowing water was little and the tomcat sat on the bank of the creek. The cream fur on his backside was now matted and wet from the water. Yuri huffed to himself as his eyes rolled downward to take in his soiled pelt and dripping fluffy tail. This wouldn’t do.

For the love of! Who kept letting their slaves lose on cartel property?? ... slaves? Wow. She really needed to RESET soon. That was new. The cat shrugged it off before stalking after the kit. She raised a brow and summoned her spirit friend, it forming into her usual scythe. She was bored. She might as well scare the thing away. She took to action, swinging the blade and aiming to dig it into the ground beside the kit. She then huffed, dusting off her paws. If that didn't scare it, nothing would. Alright kid, she growled, glaring down at Yuri, You don't belong here so scram before I decide to kill you myself... Not very menacing coming from a squeaky twelve year old, but hey. Big giant pink glowing weapon. Rang a few bells.

kendra slunk out of the shadows, her green eyes glowing as she bared her teeth at the kitten before her, a pair of ash black horns sprouting from her head. "listen to the spooky cat and get the fuck outta here, kid," the doberman snarled, flecks of saliva flying from her foaming jaws. "otherwise you might end up somebody's meal."

she wondered momentarily how the kitten had even gotten here, smack dab in the middle of murder land. where were his parents? had they abandoned him? had they died? or had he simply wandered off? despite the fact that she was threatening the poor child, kendra found herself hoping it was the latter and that the kid would simply run back home and live a happy, safe life, never returning to this place. she doubted such was the case, thanks to the cruel tendencies of life, but one could only hope.

Threatening a child most likely because they couldn't handle and adult. The male slowly walked forward, darkness separating at his pawsteps as he moved along the ground toward the scene. It was such a shame when others would threaten a child too pig headed to see the advantages of having children being taken in to the fold. He moved passed them with annoyance clicking in his tongue before he stopped in front of the child. "So, I need a name from you kid." The soul of him was familiar that much the ruler of purgatory could see and he narrowed his eyes a bit before he leaned down and aimed to sniff at him. Yet, he was still very much unsure so he didn't bother with trying to say he knew the kid. [color=#00FF00]"This is the Cartel. We are a rather ragtag band of misfits but if you want to stay then go for it. But one thing, just stay near me or something. These guys are bound to do something stupid and I'd rather you not get hurt."

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;line-height:1.5]
You have got to be kidding me. Bethany glared at the other. No! She would not stand for this. She swiftly lifted up her scythe, pointing it at the glowing male. You are not taking this kit in and that is final! Care to talk to a Capo if you want to complain about it! she growled. She normally did not use her title for authority, but this was the last straw. There were going to be NO KITS in this clan.

  • [center][fancypost=bgcolor=;border: 0px solid white; width: 455px; text-align: justify; height: auto;font-size: 8pt; line-height: 122%; margin-top: -2px;]"I wonder, do you ever stop complaining about everything? You sound like a spoiled brat who is way too used to getting her way. I'm not talking to a Capo because right now I don't see any around." He knew her rank sure, but he didn't see someone mature and acting upon the best interests of the group itself. He rolled his eyes as he curled his tail. He'd take the kit in if he wanted to and she had no real reason to stop him from doing so unless she wanted to come up with falsified information. [color=#00FF00]"There is no reason you can bar this child from joining so why don't you just sit down and be quiet for once. What are you afraid the child is going to become the center of attention or something mundane like that? He's well within his rights to join."

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;line-height:1.5]
"He's invading. Hes hunting on our territory. He's the kid of more than likely an enemy. Dare I go on?" The girl raised a brow, swishing her tail. "Or... Are you going to just ignore that like your already ignoring a few other rules?

  • [center][fancypost=bgcolor=;border: 0px solid white; width: 455px; text-align: justify; height: auto;font-size: 8pt; line-height: 122%; margin-top: -2px;]He gave her a flat look of disdain before shaking his head. "He's a child whose hungry. A child would go in search of food if it isn't provided for them. Most orphans tend to do that. Kids wander and who cares if he might be the child of an enemy when you can conform them to be a harsh fighter of the Cartel. Your logic is more pushed toward someone who knows what the Cartel is, or what a border is. This kid doesn't even look old enough to understand either. At three you don't know much, Betty. So at least think logic before you fly off with rules." He spoke calmly as he shook his head and turned away from her, eyes fixing on the child who had gotten most of his body soaking wet after trying to catch the frog who had slipped from his grasps. [color=#00FF00]"That and he's hardly a threat to anyone, not even hostile."

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:11px;line-height:1.5]
"Annnd...." She looked down as if observing her paws, "Your logic is more pushed towards someone that cares." She glared at the other. "This is Final... If you want to complain, then fight me." She growled. She was not the head of the Hitman division for a reason. She was a dangerous force to recon with but if Radio wanted to waste his life for a useless amount of an egg and semen then he can go right on ahead.

  • [center][fancypost=bgcolor=;border: 0px solid white; width: 455px; text-align: justify; height: auto;font-size: 8pt; line-height: 122%; margin-top: -2px;][color=#00FF00]"I find you humorous. But no, I'm not fighting you. I'm just taking the kid in. Because unfortunately for you you're not the boss around here and you don't get to say who joins and who doesn't. Twilight does." Complaining was not something he did, he just did what he wanted to unless the head had other things to do. Why bother wasting energy on a issue that was by no means closed because she said it was. He curled his tail around his paws and lifted a paw before flexing his claws and examining them. It was a moot point anyway and he shrugged his shoulders for a bit before turning his eyes away from her in dismissal.

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:; border: 0px; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; color: #COLORHERE]「 so come with me — let's die anywhere else

kendra's eyes narrowed angrily as a glowing black-and-green feline swooped in to defend the kit and invited him to join. "i'm with bethany on this one," she growled. "sure, he might be allowed to join, but that's kind of a horrible idea. he could be an orphan, but he also might have parents he ran way from, and they'll probably flip their shit if they find out the kid they lost got scooped up by a well-hated clan, and if they themselves belong to some powerful group... well, that would be bad, to put it simply." she told the cat, folding her arms as she spoke. "take him in if you want, pal, but consider the dangers first."

to be honest, kendra mostly just hated the idea of having a little kid wandering around her new home - she abhorred children. they were just so annoying, incessantly babbling and pestering others with their stupid questions and dumb remarks. she doubted this kid would be any less irritating.

"Well twilights not here! That means you answer to the highest up. That's me! So I say we kill the thing!" Bethany roared, taking her scythe. With a twirl, she aimed to slice the kit in half. Radio would probably push her but that would at least give her a reason to attack the dumb male.

  • [center][fancypost=bgcolor=;border: 0px solid white; width: 455px; text-align: justify; height: auto;font-size: 8pt; line-height: 122%; margin-top: -2px;][color=#00FF00]"Yeah, yeah, dangers this and dangers that. If you are afraid of parents that come to get their kid after all the tortures and raids we get and then do leave the Cartel." He spoke with a dry laugh leaving his muzzle. That was amusing. Being afraid of some assholes coming too get their kid back. Shouldn't have let him leave their sight to begin with. Why would he even bother with caring about how they felt and these 'dangers'. His eyes then flashed as the darkness seeping from his body became agitated as Betty lost her nerve. Pity really and so eager to kill a child. He'd never answer to someone so dull witted. He moved then, aiming to use his darkness to like gripping shackles and pull the child from harm's reach and by his side own side protectively. He said not another word as he looked at the two nuisances before he allowed a soft dull sigh to pull from his throat.

    YURI MUZIKANT

[center][fancypost=bgcolor=; borderwidth=0%; bordercolor=; width:65%;] He didn't have very long to worry about his fur. She seemed to come from nowhere. Betty and the spirit scythe made Yuri jump. The scraggly child's fur stood up on his back and he stubbled backwards and fell into into a large fern. He crouched where the long leaves covered him and his vibrant eyes squinted at Betty and her weapon from the shadow of plant. His large kitten eyes had become resentful slits as he felt embarrassment for his frightened display. He listened to Betty's words. She said she would kill him if he didn't leave. Better leave then.... He thought.

A cruel dog soon joined the grey and pink femme and Yuri was starting to collect that these must have been the people that lived here. It was their scent he had caught earlier. The doberman's spray of spit missed him under the leaves but he watched the foul mouth of Kendra. Her eyes were angry and glowing. It made her something to look at with her drool and glowing evil eyes. She cursed him with a word he wasn't familiar with but it made him angry. He was angry beyond his understanding and he hated the word, the rudeness. Yet again he was threatened to leave but he couldn't bring himself to speak back to the Cartelians. The kitten shook in rage under the fern, but his shake was also in fear. Not in his mind though. He wouldn't accept himself as a coward.

He knew now he had to turn back. He would back track and go the way he'd came. There was nothing out there for him but he would have to hope he missed something on his way here because he was not getting passed the Cartel's lands it seemed. Yuri carefully moved out from under the plant and back into the open. He slunk low to the ground and moved painfully slow until he halted and forced himself to lift his head to his opponents. "I think you should let me pass through..," his small voice suggested. His voice rose in volume as he spoke- starting quiet and growing audible- so that he mewed the final word in a whiny bellow. His face showed that he believed these people were doing him an injustice.

The glowing green and black savannah cat stirred something inside him and he couldn't help but stare dumbly at him when he approached. The child's eyes narrowed suspiciously when Radio sniffed at him but quickly Yuri returned to his gawk. The male had asked his name but Yuri didn't respond- too busy staring. He let the question buzz by him and he listened to the description of where he was.

It was called the Cartel and was described as a ragtag group of misfits. Ha.. Yuri felt like that. His family must have gotten rid of him for a reason. He had found himself alone with nothing. A stupid orphan didn't really fit in. But did Yuri want to live with these people? Radio's offer was too valuable to pass up regardless. No one had asked him to stay anywhere. Walking miles back the way he had come did not appeal to the hungry and tired child. "Are you sure this is a place I can stay?" The kitten whispered. His eyes flickered to the others around him before they rested on Radio again.

Yuri realized his question was pointless when the scythe wielding female spoke again. The small tom's ears flicked back and he crouched low as Radio retorted Betty's order. Their words flew over his head. Certain things he heard excited him. He heard mention of stealing attention and becoming a fighter. He let Radio take his side. He hadn't done anything but the tom had taken his side and it felt good to have someone pulling for him. He was hopeful that he'd maybe get to stay or at least get some help. A smirk was forced upon the ducking kitten's face when he heard Betty mention Radio's ignoring of rules.

The hellhound- at least that was what she was to Yuri- spoke up again. She agreed for him to go. So that made two against one... It was true he was an orphan but they didn't know that. They seemed to fear a powerful family coming after them. Yuri couldn't remember if he had a powerful one. No one was asking him to confirm his status. He found his voice- cold and raised to be heard. "Nobody will come look for me," Yuri sputtered to Kendra amongst the madness. He didn't want to say he was an orphan. He though it to be shameful. He then glanced at Betty. She mentioned a fight. "I'll fight you! I will!" He growled. He wanted to stick up for himself and he was deciding quickly he didn't like this girl.

They mentioned someone named Twilight but it was lost on him. He found himself a target. Betty's blade was hurled at him before he could react. He squeaked in fright and he only sounded louder for a moment as he was jerked to the side and to safety by shadows. With wide eyes, he was now standing beside Radioactiveplague.

Yuri breathed to catch his breath and everything was silent for a moment. He heard Radio's sigh above him and he stared forward at Betty and Kendra. He swallowed. "I don't know. I think I..," he paused to glance up at Radio. "I will stay here. He says I can."

Bethany glared at the child, "Well he doens't know what he's saying, rat! Not get out of here before I strike again. And I'll warn you. I don't miss twice." She growled, ears pinned back. Radio was being delusional. The old coot. How could he make a good decision for the clan. Hes been here what? Three days?

    SHE'D TRADE HER GUNS FOR LOVE — flykit — she/her — domestic feline —

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]When Flykit first got her, it hadn't seemed like there were many other kids like herself. It had scared her because the girl was so used to friends her age back in the city streets. Her parents had let her hang with all the kids like her and then she was here where there were barely any. The black kitten stretched out her back legs and padded forwards when she heard arguments. That scared her a little but she knew not to act like it. Batman wouldn't be scared, would he? She puffed out her little chest and gritted her teeth, marching determinedly forwards, little blue eyes on the other... kitten? Her eyes widened. "Is he joining, mister? I hope so!" Flykit padded tentatively closer and shied a little, stopping just besides Betty and glancing at her paws. She had to be Batman. She had to make him believe she was Batman! Flykit shook out her fur and offered Yuri a little smile. "I'm Flykit, I'm really new here. Who are you? I hope you can live with me. There are no friends here, no kids! It sucks sometimes but I just play with a string or something. I'm Batman's assistant, he's teachin' me everything!" This would definitely impress the other kitten, for sure. Who wouldn't be impressed by Batman, right? She blinked her little blue eyes and waited for his response.

  • [fancypost=background-color:;border:0;width:480px;text-align:justify;font-size:12px;line-height:1.5]"Excuse me!" Twilight growled angrily, trotting over and stopping next to the kitten. "Alright, the boss is here. Listen, I don't care if this kitten is just a kitten. We will not deny joiners. If we take care of him, think of how useful he could be to this place." Her gaze moved to look at Yuri. "You can stay here if you'd like. What's your name?"

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:; border: 0px; font-family: arial; font-size: 14px; color: #COLORHERE]「 so come with me — let's die anywhere else

"i'm not afraid of the kid's fucking parents," kendra hissed at radio, her eyes flaring brightly in anger. "i just don't want to waste time fighting a bunch of idiots just to protect some dumbass kid!" she bared her fangs once more, drool oozing from her jaws as she spoke.

kendra's ears twitched as the kitten suddenly piped up, her eyes flying toward him to cast an agitated glower in his direction. the anger on her face quickly shifted into surprise, however, as the kid yelled at her to let him to pass through. she sat there for a moment, somewhat stunned by the child's anger, before allowing a small smile to cross her face.

had the kitten been an adult, kendra would've been furious. she would've attacked him right there on the spot, being the impulsive dolt she was, and probably would've gotten herself exiled or punished or something. the child's youth happened to be rather convenient as of now, however, for it sent kendra's mind spiraling back to the days of her own childhood, wherein she had back-talked and pissed off nearly every person she met, much to her mother's frustration.

the kitten reminded kendra all too much of herself, and for that reason, she found herself feeling slightly more okay with the thought of him joining. of course, there was no way she was going to show that, being the stubborn fool she was - and so, she simply turned her head up, spat an angry, "fine, let the bastard join!" and retreated to a nearby tree, leaning against it and wordlessly watching the events further unfold.

she was rather intrigued by the approach of twilightzone, however, listening to her speak with interest. so she's the boss, huh? the doberman thought with a frown as she observed the feline. she wasn't sure how to feel about her new home being led and protected by a cat, of all things - she'd prefer something more threatening, like a serpent or a gryphon. kendra figured she must've been made leader for a good reason, however, and decided to give her a chance.

she scoffed as the horned feline decreed the kitten fit to join, hoping to hide the happiness bubbling within her. it would admittedly be nice to basically have a cat-version of her childhood self wandering around, so long as he didn't pester her too much.

"just let the kid join, bethany," she sighed wearily. "i don't see why you care so much. it's not like he's plotting to murder all of us - i mean, he's a fucking kitten. i doubt he can even properly hunt yet... uh, no offense, kid." the dog shrugged apologetically.

"Thats exactly why!" Bethany hissed, "its weak. Spineless! It cant help us in any way so why should we bother keeping it?" She did not even bother calling the kit a gender.
