    • ooc: Ah, hello there! The plot for this thread is rather simple but one I've wanted to do for a long time now. Basically it goes like this, it's the medieval-ish days and your character, feel free to describe/show them however you please, is a beginning magic user! Out on your own, since the magic schools wouldn't recognize your talent, you discover a book of summoning rituals! Your character summons mine to be your familiar. That's about it for the plot for now!

    Arkonis: Corruption Demon

ic: Arkonis couldn't help but feel overjoyed as he was yanked through the dimensional barriers. It had been decades since he got to mess around with mortals! He wondered who summoned him. 'Hopefully someone easy to trick so I can get free!' He though with a smirk as he felt himself appear in the center of the rune circle. It was going to be a fun time for Arkonis.

  • Taylor Johnson

I sat in a small abandoned house in the forest, that I found only a few minutes ago. After searching it for a while, I found a summoning book which got me curious. I looked through it and noticed Arkonis's page and decided to try and summon him. I set up a rune circle and did the necessary requirements to summon him as my familiar. I noticed a figure in the middle of the circle and smiled happily. "Hello! My name is Taylor Johnson! You are now my familiar!" I declared with a confident smirk.

  • Arkonis couldn't help but let out a snicker as he saw his new 'master.' This was going to be too easy. "It is excellent to meet you Miss Johnson." He said, bowing for effect. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" He asked curiously. Might as well know why he's there after all.

  • I pouted slightly when he snickered. Did he doubt my power? I mean I'm not the most threatening or powerful but I don't deserve to be mocked! "I'm a beginner at using magic! No school is willing to take me but I want some to help me with my magic! And that role will go to you." I stated with a confident voice, trying to make myself seem mightier.

  • Arkonis smirked at Taylor's explanation. "Ah, I see. You need better magic to show those other mages who's boss eh?" He asked, rubbing his hands together with a dark chuckle. "I'm all for a good revenge plan dear." He added, a new plan already forming in his mind. Revenge...what a glorious word!

  • I frowned slightly. "No... I don't want or need revenge. I just want to get better at magic.. I'm the best at nature related magic but I want to get better at other types of magic as well! I just need help with that, no revenge." I said with a cheerful smile.

  • Arkonis let out a groan but sighed and nodded. "Well then this is gonna be a lot less fun with no revenge." He warned, dispelling the runes with a simple flick of his right hand. "Alright, since you summoned me I'll let you pick our first lesson. What do you want to learn Taylor?"

  • "Water magic? Alright some simple element magic to start with that's good. Since you're just a beginner we'll need a source of water, preferably a large one. Are there any lakes or rivers or anything like that around here?" Arkonis asked, glancing around the house. For now they'd need a source anyway.

  • Arkonis examined the lake a moment, mainly to make sure nothing lurked around it, and nodded. "Yes this will do just fine. Now, whether you know about elemental magic or not I'll give you a brief explanation. As with all magic it's not just waving your hands around and expecting things to happen. You must get a sense of understanding about the water." He stuck his palm near the surface, water began flowing up his arm in a stream.

  • Arkonis chuckled, the water curling around his arm like vines. "Patience Taylor, you have to understand what you control. You have to see how the water truly works, feel how it truly forms around you." He explained, the water leaving his arm completely dry as it slid back into the lake. "Now, step into the lake and concentrate. Feel the current, know where the flow moves. Imagine you are but another drop in this lake.

    • Arkonis put a hand over his mouth to hold back the laughter. Humans were so sensitive weren't they? "Yeah I figured. You'll get used to it soon don't worry. Now relax and focus. Let your body meld with the water, embrace it. Feel the flow of the water as you would feel the wind on your skin."
  • I pouted as I noticed him holding back laughter. Lightly, I took my hand and flicked water at him as revenge with a small laugh of my own. Then I started to follow his instructions and started to try and focus on the task at hand.

  • "That's right Taylor! Just relax and concentrate." Arkonis said, dodging the water with a smirk. He noticed the water beginning to form and swirl around Taylor's legs. "Now try to imagine the water doing what I did with it but to you. Let it flow up your body." He said, smiling as he watched Taylor.
