  • Apollo laughed lightly as he watched Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus slip into another one of their arguments. It was only funny because it was over something ridiculous as usual so he wasn't too worried about it devolving into some horrible, cataclysmic event. Instead of paying attention to his warring family members, he turned to his left to find solace with his sister Artemis and the other lady gods. Yes, Apollo was a notorious flirt. He was also seen as the guy you could talk to about your problems and expect honest comfort from. That's just how he rolled.
Sighing, he leaned his chin on his hand to investigate and try to drop in on the conversation around him without being intrusive.

  • Artemis sat boredly, listening to Athena and Aphrodite talk. She'd rather be out doing things but no. She was forced to sit there and look pretty which she didn't like at all. She usually looked around thirteen or fourteen and wore somewhat boyish clothes but she was in a dress that Aphrodite practically forced her to wear because it matched here only it was silver. Athena looked twenty and was listening to Aphrodite and writing something quietly. Aphrodite was telling them some love story between mortals she'd witnessed and was only acting like she cared. The only one actually paying attention was Persephone. She loved listening to these stories and at some point she and Aphrodite broke down crying because it was beautiful. Artemis just stared at them what was even...? She just rolled her eyes and went back to not paying attention.

  • Apollo laughed at his sister's bewilderment at her goddess companions, leaning over to thunk her on the shoulder.
"You look uncomfortable sis. You really hate these meetings, don't you?" He teased gently, trying to pull her out of her funk.
They might not get along a lot of the time (they were opposites after all, sun and moon y'know) but he still cared a lot for her. For all of the other gods (except Hades and a few others like Ares because those guys were shady -ssholes at the best of times ((except for Hades who was apparently an okay dad?? Apollo was still trying to wrap his head around that one)).
"I'd rather not be here too if that's any consolation. I love social gatherings but this is basically just... Watch the uncles fight and hope no one dies."

  • "I'd rather be out riding." He hummed, winking at her to jokingly imply he meant something other than horses.
"But while I've got you here and you aren't trying to shoot me away from you because I'm an icky boy with cooties, how are you sis?" He stated, once again teasing her for his apparent disliking of men.
He never was bothered by her decision to stay a virgin (was actually quietly supportive of it), but he was always making it seem like she had a phobia of the male gender.

  • "I'm alright uncomfortable and slightly irritated but I'm alright." She looked up as Aphrodite cried and grabbed onto her hand.
    "Oh Artemis-"
"Please don't include me. I don't really care." That made Aphrodite cry even harder and she looked up at Athena and Persephone and even Apollo for help.

  • Artemis just glared at her brother and tried to pull her hand out of Aphrodite's. Aphrodite when on about the two mortal boys in love.
"Oh they're so cute together." She went on and told him about how one was a police officer and was currently in the hospital.

  • Apollo listened intently, because as uninterested in antics such as this he might act he was actually just as enraptured by the stories as Aphrodite and Persephone. Not to the point of tears, mind you, but love stories did interest him. He'd occasionally write love poetry on it for Aphrodite, to keep the peace.

  • Aphrodite told him the whole story happily and Artemis continued try to pull her hand away from Aphrodite. Aphrodite held onto it tighter as she told him about what happened to the police officer.

  • Apollo continued intently listening, so caught up he didn't have time to notice Hermes strolling over until the messenger god was stabbing him in the back with something that left Apollo with a stinging back and tears in his eyes. Manly tears, manly.
"Hermes! I was trying to listen to Aph's story!"
"Well I'm sorry I interrupted your tea time social, but I need to speak with you about something actually important." Hermes huffed, grinning at his sort of friend Apollo.
    "Can it wait?"
    "No, it's important."
"Alright. You can tell me more later Aph." Apollo stated, flashing her another toothy grin before heading off with Hermes to chat.

  • Hera sighed softly, watching her... Family... With a bored expression. She loved them, in her own... Oddly abusive way. Really, she did. Sometimes though they made it very difficult not to turn them all into whimpering mortals. She glanced over at his husband who was vehemently arguing against his two brothers who seemed to have ganged up against him much to his anger.
Shaking her head, the queen of Olympus rose and carefully made her way over to the other goddesses. She was quiet about her joining them, quietly asking how things were going with them all.

  • Hera cast Artemis a careful look, understanding that the goddess was less than pleased with her current predicament. With a careful breath, the goddess drew herself up to her full height and met the younger's eyes with a cool gaze.
    "Artemis, walk with me?"

  • Hera walked her quietly out to Olympus's gardens, letting out a soft sigh at the burst of fresh air free of tension.
"These meetings never seem very productive, do they?" She questioned softly, glancing over to the younger goddess.
