— Tsubaki Inuzuka—
"I am a monster. Just like in the tales you have heard. These hands have been tainted by blood. I have been challenged by many and yet I have devoured every single one of them. Beware the dark pool at the bottom of our hearts. In its icy, black depths dwell strange and twisted creatures, it is best not to disturb."

Dreams were a very complex thing. Every single detail, occurrence, or thought couldn't be trusted while in a state of slumber. Everything just got interwoven like dark vines between reality and fantasy, thus diminishing the possibility of events being true or false. All the sensations and responses the mind could provide were affected when the brain thought its owner was in danger. The pulse of the individual accelerated frantically, shivers ran down corpse-like bodies and one would close their eyes to avoid falling into a well of pure blackness, trying to escape and get rid of such sensations to no avail. In dreams, a person wasn't in control.
She could support that fact. Sometimes, she thought she was awake but she couldn't be sure, she couldn't see her surroundings but knew someone was nearby. Her mind was often confused, unadapted. To her knowledge, she was still lost in an icy sea of uniform shapes. Sometimes, her sense of smell would come to her in unpredictable waves, but there was no hearing, and she would try to focus and come up with what was happening. The urge to find out where she was and with who was strong, almost to the point of hysteria due to an unknown reason. She didn't remember much but she knew that something cruel awaited for her. Her mind had turned against her, in many ways, and drawing incomplete thoughts was one of them. The few options she had was to wait and make her mind wake up from its floating state, claim her memories, and break away from this made-up prison.
The feeling of being paralyzed was frightening and the only conclusion she could drawn was that she was in the Limbo. Because, to be honest with herself, everything she saw was darkness. With her eyes open or closed, there was nothing but a dark board without writing, without chalk dusting its surface and offering her a sign. It was as if everything had suddenly vanished and only a diminutive part of her own self was left, retrained and secure in a pit of endless cold black. She didn't like it. The cold, the loneliness, the despair, all of it. It was borderline depressing. It had been approximately three days since the absolutely tragic mission, and their complete downfall. The mission had been a set from the beginning, Madame M had no longer any need for them, or rather her. The targets she had been sent to kill was her bait, or at least that is what she believed. Sadly she had played right into the Madame's hand. Tsubaki had figured that she'd want to get rid of them one of these days, but had expected it so soon. As soon as their plane landed they had went their separate ways, heading to the coordinate of their targets.
The red head came to a slow understanding that she was awake right now, however, there was nothing but darkness. It felt oddly empty. The throbbing sensation that was building at a startling rate announced her arrival in the real world. She turned slowly on the bed she was resting on, senses on high alert.
If the woman hadn't come to collect them by now, she highly doubted she'd be getting back unless it was in a bodybag. There would be no plane nor medical assistance given to her. She had been going in and out of conscious after getting away, the silence was mixed with pain, getting stabbed in both eyes was possibly the first sense of pain she's felt in ever.
They were currently cooped up within a small house, somewhere within a dense forest. The house was of decent size, and belonged to an older elder woman with no company. She had used it as a base for mission before. It was the best place to stay for the woman was a mute, sweet and silence, she couldn't
say anything even if she wanted to. The red hair swept around the bed like rivers of blood, her elfin sized frame was curled lightly on top of the covers. Her body was not reacting well to the lose of her eyes, symptoms pointed to a fever, but she wasn't one who got sick if it could be avoided. With an unheard sigh, she pushed herself out of bed and set her feet on the ground, the sensation of floating was gone. The first thing she noticed was that she was missing her dog, a large English mastiff that normally rested at the foot of the bed she had been sleeping in. As she rose to stand her muscles groaned in protest, she ignored them while lifting a hand and recalling a map of house, what was where and walls she might bump into.
She left her room behind as she walked through a darken hallway, unconsciously pulling the red hood of her assassin attire up, her steps were so light and swift it appeared as if she were gliding with each step. She faintly wondered if the old lady had left to go shopping because she couldn't hear her at all. She tipped her head slightly to the right as she heard the low growing coming from up ahead, there was a clicking sound of nails on wood as the huge dog noticed her. Lucifer was slowly going accustom to the flaw within his owner, he knew something was wrong with her just wasn't exactly sure what. He stepped to the side and went back to growling at the door. This would be strange if she was familiar with it, something or one was outside. "Heel." The serene voice spoke in a warm alto as she reached her hand up, missing the doorknob the first time and catching it the second. She pulled the door open, feeling the cold rush of air as the wind blew pass her. As she stepped outside on the porch, Lucifer followed, the hulking black mastiff curled his lips in a snarl but did nothing more. If something were in front of her he'd bark, the moon was out and the stars shined over head, nothing she could see. She doubted she'd be able to locate them even with sight if they were hidden, someone was watching though.
"I know your there. Come out." A soft pain ripped through her vocal cords as raised her voice to be heard through the forest.
