THIS IS HOW IT'S GONNA BE

    He'd escaped. He was free.

    For now, anyway.

The hellhound sprinted away from Bloodclan, not daring to stop until he reached the edge of the territory. He knew that they didn't exactly have boundaries, but it was enough for him. If he died now, it would cause war. All because he'd rejected his families ideas - he wasn't going to marry his sister to keep a pure bloodline.

He took a moment to breathe, and the sweet smell of Riverclan hit him. Oh god - they were going to think he was here to attack. The male paused, his body tensing as his red eyes searched his surroundings. It was only a matter of time before a patrol came around and managed to find him.

[color=#e0e0e0]A creature of similar species was the first to stumble upon the newcomer, drawn by the smell of BloodClan. Ramses approached, his hackles bristling, but he didn't attack. The rushed, hurried look of the hellhound gave him pause, so he was wary but not feeling particularly aggressive. "I'm sure you know you've reached RiverClan," he said as he padded forth from the undergrowth. His bright orange eyes watched the dark canine closely, noting that it had been a while since he'd seen a pure Hellhound. There was Duncan, of course, but that was about the only one Ramses knew of. "Looking to join, or cause trouble?" he added on lightly.

The serval looked over at the hellhound, body shuddering in a bit of fear. Autumn was a coward, although she didn't like to admit such a fault. Taking a deep breath and forcing herself to keep calm, she padded up next to Ramses, offering her presence as a form of backup. "Hello," was all Autumn offered.

Sure enough, people were arrving - a serval and a... His breath hitched in his throat - it was a direhound. One of the breeds his family had taught him to hate - he had refused to. Realising that both were speaking, the male raised his head slightly.

"I'm here to join. If I wanted to cause trouble, you'd both be dead," he said, slightly arrogantly.

A thought dawned on him - if they asked him his name, he wouldn't be able to say anything. He wasn't Octavian any more. He wouldn't go by that name. He was going to be... hmm... Valerium? No. Victor? No.

    Valentine. Perfect.

Even Autumn tsked. Even if he was going to attack them, Ramses could assault the hellhound physically, while Autumn had a spree with his mind. "I doubt that, friend- but it doesn't matter. I'm Autumnalequinox, but please, call me Autumn, and welcome to Riverclan. What can we call you?" the spotted wildcat inquired, sending a soft smile to the joiner.

Hmm. Information. At least one of them had an ability beyond physical fighting, Valentine thought. As Autumn introduced herself and asked for a name, the breath hitched in the hellhound's throat. Why, he didn't quite know - he'd literally just planned this in his head.

    "Valentine. I'm Valentine."

Valentine? Irony at its finest. Autumn, finally removed from the danger signs flashing in her head, took a moment for her artistic side to shine. "I've never seen a hellhound before," she murmured. She'd have to sketch him later.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Valentine. Would you like someone to show you around the territory? We'd be happy to help."

  • [center]- - - - -[fancypost=bgcolor=; border:0; width:450px; text-align:justify; font-size:10px; line-height:1.5]Tea approached warily. Bloodclan - the border reeked of it. The sight of the hellhound - the Bloodclanner - cause the little rabbit's breath to hitch, yet he seemed - not friendly... but not hostile. Autumn and Ramses didn't appear to be disgruntled by his presence, so she made the decision to trust the canine. Just a little. She hopped over gingerly, keeping her distance from the creature. He was joining? From Bloodclan to Riverclan; that was quite the dramatic change. Who was she to judge? Though she couldn't bring herself to smile, the bunny dipped her head in greeting. "You're... thirty-two days late," she commented after a moment. Allowing time for a reaction to her joke, she would then introduce herself, as she felt obliged to do so. "Name's Teagan, but you can call me Tea."

Valentine managed a smile at the remark, and nodded for a tour. "I think that would be helpful," he elaborated, the smile fading slightly.

As another person approached - a rabbit - Val nodded as well. "Give or take a week," he added on with a raised brow, a smirk stretching across his maw. Teagan introduced herself, and Valentine decided to return the offer. "Valentine, the hound from hell."

  • Rivulet had watched his clan interact with the newcomer, deciding to finally introduce himself he slowly approached the hell hound. "The hound from hell? That's interesting to hear, I honestly don't know if I should be happy or worried a bit." He says in a joking tone as he sat down next to Teagan, "I am Rivulet, I heard your name already, but nice to meet you Valentine, welcome to Riverclan."

  • FILLED IT UP WITH NOVECAINE

"Helllhounds aren't anything to worry about."

The domestic commented as she padded over. Her smoking eyes flickered over the hellhound, before she smirked. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding." She snorted, before smirking to herself, as if that last part was just to cover her pregnant ass. "Escaflowne. Welcome to Riverclan." She said, the pregnant domestic's tail flicking silently.

"They certainly look like something to worry about," Caesar responded with a frown as he came over. "But uhh, welcome to RiverClan. I'm Caesar Cipher, a Minnow."

TELL HER YOU LOVE HER TOO — cinderpaw — riverclan — she/her — nine moons

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]"It's never wise to judge a book by its cover." The words were somewhat chiding but not unkind, directed towards Caesar as the grey and white furred girl approached. At nine moons old the girl was kind and rather smart - it appeared that her mother had taught her well. Recognising the nurse, Tea, Cinderpaw took a spot beside her, a sweet smile playing on her face and turning up the corners of her mouth. Gentle and yet curious yellow eyes were on the hellhound and she certainly couldn't deny that he was large - much larger than Cindy herself.

"Welcome to RiverClan, Valentine - will Val do? Full names are a bit of a mouthful." As she spoke her head tilted to the side slightly, her voice bright and her lilting tone full of curiosity. "I'm Cinderpaw, by the way, but Cindy is just fine." Honestly, Cindy could never say she'd had family issues of any sort, let alone daddy problems. Despite knowing little about her dad, her mother and siblings had been kind and they'd loved one another dearly. Also, Cindy didn't have a sister for her parents to try to make her marry. Her and Val certainly did come from different backgrounds.

  • [center][fancypost=width: 450px; line-height: 120%; text-align: justify;][font='Georgia, serif']"Agreed." The male said as he joined the other riverclanners and stood beside Rivulet. He wasn't sure how he felt about this guy joining after just being in Bloodclan... what if he were another spy? What would they do then? Jackdaw had caused some major issues between the two clans and honestly, Riverclan didn't need anymore trouble right now. The wolf shook his head and sighed before giving his attention to the hellhound. "Welcome to Riverclan." He stated plainly.

Val was almost losing count of how many people were arriving, and bit the inside of his mouth slightly at Caeser's comment. Most people were reacting nicely... but the Cipher kid...

"You're a feline. I'm a hell hound. Let's guess who would win," he snapped, raising his eyebrows.

"looks like we came from the same place then." came the chide of the young boy.
the australian shepherd surfaced from a few fronds and stared at the hellhound's large form.

"i was born as a demon, so at least we share a hometown. hell." he sighed, he always hated talking about his origins. "arcanepaw creux. lifeguard and nurse." he stated, sitting down.

Well this was a different kind of peculiar, but a fresh breeze of air here among the same faces she'd been seeing around. "Coolio, welcome to RiverClan, Valentine," Alana added in with the others, tasting the flow of his name across her tongue. By physical appearance alone, Alana usually took hellhounds as a joke in her previous life since there were so many of them in Hell. But since her neck was as breakable as a twig in her weakened state, and just about any animal larger or equal to her size could kill her, Alana had been trying her best not to be quick to speak her mind.

  • [fancypost= width: 350px;]"Welcome!" the chocolate lab smiled as he bounded over, a happy smile on his face. He loved meeting new people, and valentine seemed like a cool guy. His tail was wagging, excited to have another newcomer; there were lot's these days, and Bruce was happy about that.

Val trailed off, before deciding to greet the others and introduce himself.
