  • So I've been thinking about this for some time now.

On an island secluded from the rest of the world, there is an magic academy which trains mages of six different elements. These of course are the elements of earth, fire, water, wind, light and of course dark. Your character will be a girl who excels at a few of the elements, making good her one of the strongest in the whole of the academy.

Your character will live with her family in a rather large house on a clifftop, where she sees something washed up on the rocks underneath her house. Upon investigation, she realises it is a young man of her age, and takes him in. However, after he awakes, he has no recollection of who he is, however seems to be able to use a new type of magic. Who is he, and what does this mean for the both of them?

Well start from when your character finds mine. This is essentially a jump in, so just a name and description/picture is needed. The island isn't too big, however it's up to you to decide what's on it, seeing as it's your character lives there :)

  • Hi, I'm interested in participating. I'm not sure if you want just a description of my character's appearance, or one with her personality, so I'm just going to go with physical so our characters can learn about each other naturally (unless you'd like more information). I was also wondering what the age of your character is, and what the time period this is set in is. Thanks!

    Name: Aella Morgan
Appearance: Aella's hair is an almost-white blonde that reaches midway down her back when it's not curled. Her face is heart-shaped, and she has skin just a little darker than her hair. Her eyes are doll-like and a blue-violet color framed by ridiculously long eyelashes. She has a button nose and rosebud lips.
She excels in water, air, and light

  • The island they are on is sort of medieval based, however they have magic instead of technology so it isn't really much of a problem for them. Whereas they rest of the world that doesn't know about magic is more of a modern start date. But we won't have to worry about that for a while.

My character will be about 17 in age. Although he won't know how old he is when he washes up. Well, I'll post my little form and then we can start!

    Name: ????
Looks: The young malet has dark brown hair, with fair skin and a lightly freckled face. He has silver speckled blue eyes, and stands at about 5'9. He has a pretty average build, and has two notable scars on his body, one on his face that runs past his left eye, and the other on his back.

That should do it, I'll let you start it off :)

  • Alright, thanks!

Aella was sitting near the big windows in her house that looked out to the sea, deeply immersed in the book she was reading. She finished a chapter and paused from her reading, glancing out at the ocean to give her eyes a break for a moment. As she gazed out at the sea, she noticed something unusual among the rocks below her house. She couldn't see exactly what it was from there, but it looked like it could be a person. She tried to reason with herself that it wasn't, and if it was, they were fine, but her anxiety got the best of her and she grabbed her cloak before heading down to investigate. She realized it was, in fact, a person, and rushed to them, thankful she had gone down to look. She knelt at their side and made sure they were breathing. "Hello?" She asked softly, "Can you hear me?"

  • The man who lay there was face down in the sand, the water lapping at his feet as his eyes opened. Where am I? Who am I? And what has awoken me? Those were the first three thoughts that came to his mind as he woke up, his arms slowly coming up so that he could push himself up.

Salt and sand stuck his hair up I every direction as he looked around, his blue eyes taking in the scenery around himself, before setting on the girl beside him. He blinked a few time, trying to clear the little bit of blurriness in his vision before he spoke, his voice dry and creaky, "...where am I?" The question came slowly, before he coughed as he realised how dry his throat was.

  • Aella stared at him for a second and brushed a piece of hair behind her ear out of nervous habit. "You're on the island of Venerias." She glanced around for pieces of a broken boat, perhaps, to explain how this man had been washed up on the shores.

She knew boats often crashed a little ways off shore because of an abundance of coral, and it tore holes in boats of those who didn't know how to navigate it. Howver, here wasn't any thing but the two of them and the usual seaweed and tide pools. "How did you get here?"

  • The man blinked as she fed the information to him, and he tilted his head to the side as she asked the question. He reached up a hand and scratched the top of his head thoughtfully, before shaking his head. "I don't know" He finally stated, lowering his hand once more, before his voice suddenly became excited once more, "oh, but I'll tell you anything else you want to know!" He enjoys claimed, trying to stand up. He was surprised by the stiffness in his legs however, and the male fell forwards into the sand with a thump. Luckily, the sand buffered his fall.

  • She was caught between her instinct to catch him and her preference to not touch a stranger when he fell, so she ended up lurching towards him with her hands half out. "Oh, are you okay?" She asked quickly, and looked him over for obvious wounds. She realized she probably should've done that sooner. "Are you hurt anywhere?"

  • The man stopped moving at the question, before raising his head slowly out the sand, "no" the answer came swiftly, as he sat up with a grunt, "but I can't walk" He finally finished, his freckled face completely innocent as he spoke to her. Once more he tried to stand, his legs quivering, however this time he managed to keep his balance. His blue eyes suddenly flickered up, their colour perfectly matching the sky above as he breathed out a rather large breath. The sun was nice.

  • Aella stood when he did. She was a little off put by the man's surpringly sunny demeanor. She personally felt that she'd be more upset if she woke up on a strange island. She was worried he might be suffering a concussion, and though she knew it was a bad idea to let strangers into one's home, she knew she couldn't leave him here. "Maybe you should come with me, to my house." She pointed it out on the cliff. "My mother's a healer. She can make sure everything's alright." She paused and considered if she would offer more assistance before deciding just to do it. "I can help you walk." It was uncommon for her to offer that sort of thing, she wasn't fond of touching people she didn't know well.

  • The man stayed silent for a few seconds, studying the house onow the cliffs idea with his eyes before he finally smiled, "sure" came the reply, as he shakily took a step forwards, "oh, but I'll walk myself. I need to be able to walk by myself" He stated before stopping, realising he didn't know which way to go, and so he instead waited for her. "Where is my home?" He suddenly asked, as if he expected an answer. After asked Lloyd, the first person he had met had a house. Surely that meant he had one as well, right?

  • She was a little taken aback by the question. "I... um, I don't know. See, this island is very small, but I've never seen you before. I don't think you're from here." They didn't get outsiders much, not many people seemed to know about the island, so she didn't know what kind of people lived off the island. To make matters worse, she was becoming increasingly worried about his mental state. He didn't seem to know anything about himself, and she didn't know how to fix that. "I'm Aella, by the way. What's your name, if you don't mind me asking?"

  • The male once more racked his brain for anything, but nothing came up. He raised his hand once more to the back of his head as if it would help, but there was still nothing. "I... don't know that either..." He stated slowly, in almost an apologetic tone. "But all the same, it's nice to meet you Aella " He told her with a grin, closing his eyes as he did so. He honestly didn't have a care in the world it seemed.

  • Aella's fears were being realized as he continued to show he didn't know anything. She was also becoming more perplexed about how he didn't seem to care that he couldn't remember anything. "Do you remember anythibg before you woke up here?" She asked, hoping he would at least know something. Her mom was the best healer on the island, but even she couldn't do much about memory loss.

  • He put a hand to his chin at this, feeling the crusted salt on his face when suddenly his eyebrows raised, "oh, I think I was in the sea before I was on the beach!" He announced with another smile, but then it disappeared as he noticed the look on her face. "What's the matter?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowing as he realised that everything may not be as alright as it seemed.

  • She ran a hand down her face. "I just... how are you so upbeat and fine with not knowing anything? You don't know who you are, how you got here, where you came from." She paused and looked up at him. "I would be freaking out." She honestly hoped that saying this out loud didn't freak him out, because he was still a stranger, which made him unpredictable and potentially dangerous.

  • He simply smiled at the question, before shrugging, "well, I don't think I can be scared exactly... I don't know what I've forgotten, or if I have even forgotten something. For me, everything has started from this point on" He explained, no hesitation in his words, and his blue eyes met hers swiftly, still no change in his expression or attitude.

  • She sighed. "I guess. But don't know want to know your past? You must have one, it's not like you just came out of nowhere." She paused. "Are you sure you can walk? We should get going." He was probably dehydrated at least, and he likely needed to eat something, too. Aella just needed to get them both back to her house, her mom would know what to do.

  • "Well, I haven't really had much time to think know about it..." He countered slowly, a hand going to the side of his head. It was pounding ever so slightly due to thirst, but he didn't know that. "I can walk... I think." He spoke, taking a few more testing steps and almost falling over, but managing to keep his balance, I think I could manage it" He announced, his brown hair still sticking up everywhere.

  • "Alright." She said slowly. "Well, it's a bit of a walk up the hill. Tell me if you need to take a break." She started to slowly lead the way back to her house, keeping a close eye on him to make sure he didn't fall or lag behind. She was still a little apprehensive about letting a stranger into her home, but her mom could handle it if the situation went bad.
