    Dragons on the Wind o' Morning


    PLOT + CHAT ~ ROLEPLAY


    Legend has it that the dragons came from a great goddess. She was known as the mother of all dragons, giving life to the giant lizards that saved all of the elven kind from extinction. The elves see her as the savior come from the heavens to rid the elves of evils that plagued their lands. To the dragons, she is the life-giver; all of their mothers, the source of their power, the spirit that keeps all dragons alive and connected. Whether you worship her, hate her, or simply do not believe in her, one must admit that no one really knows where these huge beasts emerged from, nor the source of their magic.


    The dragons were once thought to be stupid, lumbering creatures, and were treated as all animals. Once elves began to breed them, and keep them as pets, some found that those who had strong bonds with their dragons could speak to them beyond words. They could feel the emotions, wants, dislikes, and needs of their dragon. Dragons were found to be smart and drastically more complex than anyone could have imagined. Realizing this, the elves quickly began releasing the dragons from their servitude. Some flew away to the Wilds, never to be seen again. Surprisingly, most stayed with their masters, wanting to keep the connections they had formed. Dragons began taking jobs as laborers, granting elven society their strength and magicks. Many, though were brought into the Elven Imperial Army; formed to fight the demonic horde that had been in many wars with the elves for as long as anyone could remember.


    These dragons were paired with soldiers of the elite faction known as the Dragotrian Warriors. These few are tasked with defeating powerful demon kings and fighting on the demon’s own territory. They would need great weapons to battle such power, lest the dragons were used. Pairs of dragon and rider have formed special bonds that allow them to perform as if they are one.



    PLOT


    A new Dragotrian team has been formed by the General for the Elven Imperial Army. They must struggle to live up to the expectations of their job while learning to work together. Currently, demons have gotten a hold of wild dragons. While they may not have a connection like the riders, they have forced them into a life of servitude and ride them into battles. Some of the captured dragons seemed to have been possessed by demonic thought as well. The Warrior’s dragons are very reluctant to fight their own kind, wild or not. Meanwhile, the demons have started to pillage and destroy elven towns using Dragonfire and the dragon’s strength. While the rest of the army holds them off in the elven cities and on the battlefield, the Warriors are sent to find the person capturing and breeding the demonic dragons, investigate the possession the wild dragons seem to be under, and free those captured if possible. This means going into the demonic territory, which is especially dangerous.


    THE DRAGONS


    The dragons are the typical mythical creature; large scaly beasts. There are three types, though, who range in size and color. Flying dragons follow typical European mythology. They can grow to eight feet tall on all fours and sport large wings that allow them to fly quickly in the air. Their bodies and bones tend to be quite thin to allow for aerodynamic quickness. They can breathe Dragonfire, a purple flame that cannot be put out and burns for up to twenty-four hours. This is a bit of a downfall, though, as these types of dragons are known to be very stubborn and hyper; young ones must be trained not to burn everything they want to. These are most common. Water dragons cannot fly, however, but can move very quickly in water and hold the most magical power. Their bodies are long like snakes with short webbed feet and fins on their faces and heads. Riders would be kept above water, of course, and would ride them sort of like a dolphin trainer would. They can breathe underwater, and their skin must be kept wet at most times. They are seen as majestic and are believed to be good luck, but can be narcissistic and selfish if their connection is not strong. These are a little uncommon. The last kind are land dragons, who are the most uncommon. These are known to horde items they have stolen from elves and hide them in caves. They are the hardest to train, as they are known to be very antisocial. It takes a resilient rider to form a bond with a land dragon. They are a bit plump with long necks. They cannot fly, nor can they swim, but can run up to 180 miles per hour. They are physically stronger and smarter than most other dragons and learn very quickly.


    There are also certain color categories that dragons fall into, indicating their rarity/ability to breed. Brown dragons are the most common, making up almost 50% of all dragons. Bluish-green dragons have a slightly higher rarity than brown dragons but are still seen as somewhat common. White dragons and black dragons are the most uncommon; they make up around 10% of all dragons and are seen as good luck if seen in the wild. These colors are attributed to every type of dragon.


    THE DEMONIC ARMY


    The Demonic Army has a knack for terrorizing the land and forcibly taking territory. In the past, they were a lot less organized and their attacks failed often. As they took on a monarchy, they began forming armies that resembled those of the elves, with bona fide ranks and positions. The lower demons are much less anthropomorphic, with the higher the rank they possess, the more human they look. They have decided that they want not only the elves land but their dragon magic as well.

    PERSONALITY ★ Sage is aggressive. She has a habit of being blunt and does not take crap from anyone. Her face is almost always in a permanent scowl. She tends to be very opinionated, expressing any thought she may have out loud despite the consequences. Often she finds herself alone because of this but does not busy herself wishing for companionship. She has no need for the praise or admiration of others and will never ask for this. She is a bit angry about not being chosen as the leader and shows a slight hostility towards him. The only thing she really seems to care for is her dragon, Alkaline. She can often be seen grooming him.

    HISTORY ★ Sage grew up in a very poor village. She was abandoned as a child and lived with other orphaned children. She became distrustful of others, especially people who try to establish themselves as her family. As she grew up, she became dissatisfied with being homeless after a time, and joined recruitment for the army. She was poised to be a regular foot soldier, but tested to have an affinity for a connection with dragons. She was quite wary at first, as she saw them as aggressive and animalistic. After recieving her first egg, she quickly fell in love with the thought of caring for the dragon. She trained vigorously with it, but found it's personality to be very clashing. It took them a long time to actually establish the relationship they have.

    PERSONALITY ★ Ruvaen seems to have everything in his life laid out. He looks confident in his abilities, seems level headed enough, and comes from a good family. Despite this outward appearance, he is actually very laid back. He really doesn’t have any interest in succeeding much, or leading anything in fact. He would much rather fly for pleasure than into battle with a team behind or below him. His real passion is just being able to see the world from up above.

    HISTORY ★ Ruvaen is a son of the prestigious and well known Zylhana Clan. His family has been blessed with a strong connection to any dragon they’ve been paired to, and almost every member of his family was a successful member of the Elven Imperial Army. Growing up, he was trained in just about every sort of combat you could think of. He wasn’t good at every one of them, of course, but he was trained much more than the average young elf of his age. He regrets not having a normal childhood like those his age. He was practically groomed from birth to join the Elven Imperial Army, so it was no surprise he was accepted immediately; if not for his skills, it was because of his name. To his surprise (though not a surprise to anyone else), he excelled in almost all of his tests, including the ones that had to do with connecting with Dragonkind. It took him much longer than anyone in his platoon to connect with his Dragon, since it was (and still is) the most stubborn thing he has ever met in his life. He did not want to become leader of the Dragotrian Warriors, but his family was too proud of him for him to turn down the position.

    DESCRIPTION ★ Ganymede is a smaller than usual green flying Dragon. His scales are a matte forest green. He has flat horn-like structures sticking out of his spine and the ends of his wings.
    PERSONALITY ★ Ganymede is extremely stubborn. He has a disdain for any kind of authority. He is very independent and would prefer to work completely alone separate from a rider. It took him and Ruvaen a very long time to connect fully, as Ganymede hinds any and all emotions from everyone. He has a habit of wanting to fly head first into battles, and has to rid himself of impulses.

    PERSONALITY ★ Ayla was born mute. She comes off as quiet and mostly stays to herself but if approached she is friendly. She is a adventurous dreamer and floats by in life and in goals; she actually doesn't know what her goals in life is. She is nowhere near shy but doesn't know how to express herself. Ayla often holds a calm demeanor and is praised for her levelheadedness. She loves dragons and considers them her friends. Despite having a land dragon, she enjoys the feeling of flight which is rare. She likes all types of dragons despite each of their different flaws. She will often be seen with her own dragon and takes good care of him, often cherishing him. She isn't easy to anger and is actually quite passive; she doesn't enjoy fighting and would rather avoid it. But because she was forced to be a part of the Dragotrian Warrior's she has no choice but to enter the battlefield. She will carry out her orders with no hesitation, which makes her come off as cold but she wants to end it soon. She is a tomboy, despite her delicate features and doesn't mind getting rough and dirty. Her being mute also leads to most having a misunderstanding of her before they learn of her disability. Communications is also a difficult task as people have to learn her hand gestures but most just decide to avoid her. She wants to spend her days in peaceful leisure and enjoy the serenity of life.

    HISTORY ★ Ayla was born to a poor family who lived on the outskirts of town. Her father took a hard job as a laborer and was rarely home. Her mother was an herbalist and often helped treat other people who sought help from her. Because Ayla was born mute, she often got odd stares and had a hard time making friends. Her family found this a bit difficult but learned to understand her and treated her with the same affection as any other family would. Unfortunately her mother succumbed to a fatal disease and passed when Ayla was five years old. Before her mother had left them, Ayla had learned of some of the herbal remedies that her mother had. Her mother’s death left a hard burden on her father but he would not give in to depression and continued more jobs to help support their family. Ayla would often approach other dragons that were used for labor and seemed to be able to easily connect with these dragons but never a bond that she would hold with her dragon in the Dragotrian Warrior's. This caught the attention of the Elven Imperial Army and she was immediately taken away for training. Her dad didn't want to let her go but she decided she would go with them without struggling because she wanted to be able to provide for him like he has for her. Like other warrior's, she received an egg and grew alongside her dragon that she named Aysrilth. If possible, she likes to visit her home and stay with her father.

    DESCRIPTION ★ He is a large dragon that is a covered in dirty golden scales with some black splotches on his body. Down his spine the scales turn rather spiky and there are medium sized horns adorned on his head. His eyes are golden and always reflect a primal instinct built within him. His amount of scales makes him rough to touch but they can be smooth in some areas.
    PERSONALITY ★ Aysrilth is somewhat stubborn but not as stubborn as the flying dragon. He prefers taking everything in a leisurely pace and handling his own wants before others. He likes silver shiny things and will often hide any shiny metal he finds on the battle field in his mouth till they return to their base. He hides his stash in various places in case they are found. He can distinguish some objects as special from others and will hide them in a secret stash. Sometimes he stores objects that he thinks Ayla likes in her room. He enjoys solitude and will sometimes disappear from her side but will return inevitably. He cares for Ayla, even though it may not seem like it, and enjoys her company. If someone says something insulting about her he will often giving a warning snarl. Despite their close bond, he sometimes disobeys her.

    FULL NAME ★ Shihon Ravatoris

    PERSONALITY ★ Shihon is incredibly shy and is often perceived as weak by others. His appearance gives off the wrong image sometimes as people often mistake him as cunning. He is easy to fluster and has a hard time bonding with people as he doesn't know exactly what to say. He is soft spoken and when flustered he'll accidentally say somethings that are blunt and straightforward. He is kind and friendly; often he wants to be able to make friends with people around him. He enjoys nature and even though he loves animals, he isn't afraid to hunt them. He doesn't mind insects and barely notices them when they are around. Sadly, he is easy to startle and somethings scare him. It takes a lot of encouragement for him to face a demon general. His cowardice and physical weakness is what delayed him in his training and he was almost taken out of the Dragotrian Warriors for his personality. Because of this, the other members won't meet him till sometime. He is a bit of a late bloomer so once his prowess shown through, he was told to join the other warriors.

    HISTORY ★ Shihon grew up in a well-off family who are financially stable and but not enough to be considered rich. They have a decent way of life in his house and not much troubles them. At a young age though, Shihon wanted to explore the world and would often find himself nose deep in maps. He enjoys reading and at a young age he was able to read books that were well above his age. His parents found his behavior odd but indulged him in it and provided him with more books and freedom towards his adventurous goals. He's dreamed of finding new areas filled with unrivaled beauty and wants nothing more than to just stand and bask in its glow. When he was able to leave his house without parental guidance, he would often go exploring by nearby woods. Later on he would sometimes camp in these woods and make small shelters and memorize the plot of land. He did well in school and excels in geographical information due to his interest in exploration. He can tell his location from the foliage in the area and will most likely never get lost. He will help the group with his only expertise.

    TYPE ★ Water Dragon
    DESCRIPTION ★ Falael is a large, long, serpent like Dragon with a smooth, wet body. His scales seem almost nonexistent but there can be seen on some parts of his body. He is smooth to the touch and is often very slippery. He is of a light bluish-green color and his scales sparkle beautifully in the sunlight. When in water he almost blends in with the dark blue of the sea and can only be made out by some of the spikes that stick out on his body.
    PERSONALITY ★ Falael is somewhat stubborn and is extremely vain. Like other water dragon's, he can be very selfish though he shows little narcissism. He holds himself in a high standard making him seem arrogant but he expresses his arrogance in a different way. He does this by refusing to acknowledge those who he considers beneath them. He is very disobedient, often ignoring Shihon profusely and disobeying him, giving his rider a very hard time. He also doesn't communicate with him no matter how many times Shihon attempts to talk to him. It's gotten to the point that whenever Falael turns away from him, Shihon just talks to where he thinks he'll be. He still cares for Shihon and shows this, unbeknownst to the other, by listening to him talk when it seems like he's ignoring him. Shihon actually doesn't know that Falael can talk to him, whenever the day does come, it'll probably be a blunt short response leaving Shihon shocked and amazed.

    PERSONALITY ★
    Morgan is perhaps an intriguing individual depending on your definition of intriguing. She can be rather tough and misunderstood, and given her aspirations she is a true warrior. More or less anyways. This female is hardworking and strives to live up to her own ideal of a warrior; which sometimes causes her to push herself to far and too much. While never audibly asking for praise, she eagerly looks forward to recognition for her successes and triumphs. Morgan holds a lot of pride and sometimes it can grow out of control and some humility will need to be delivered in order to retain her dignity. Even so, her competitive spirit in games is the utmost formidable, she aims to win, not play nice and sport good spirit, she won't cry if met with loss, but she will certainly snark her wins. All of these collide together as ambition, she will not idly stand still when more can be done and thus more opportunity to be known and to achieve. Furthermore, Morgan is not the type to scare or startle easily. It's not to say she is immune, but she has learned not to overreact with such feelings from a young age. Morgan is above all thing a logical woman and quick to attempt to drag people from their dreams and then ground them to earth. Thus she is often perceived as insensitive because she is blunt, and simply without a filter. Though there are times she may feel slights of guilt, she still finds logic, reasoning, and rational the best outlook of the world. Even so, her realism can often sometimes fall into a pessimistic state, most easily when things begin to look bleak or a string of bad luck has occurred. However she usually powers through this through her unbridled determination and will, the mind set of 'how far one falls doesn't matter, how far one climbs from the bottom is what makes a man' demonstrating this kind of comeback that occurs. Returning to the realistic and insensitive notion of Morgan, she rather hates crying. She hates crying herself, she hates seeing people cry, and she will likely tell anyone crying to shut up and move on. Morgan does not know how to console or interact with those engaged in situations of sentimental value. Though she may try, it is often either awkward, begrudging, or a combination. Now do not get the wrong idea, Morgan is capable of small acts of kindness and caring, but she often prefers the humble and secretive approach. Perhaps she may not even realize she is committing a nice action, but does so when she feels she can afford to do so; so basically when she is not super busy and or has free time. Morgan is not the curious or noisy kind, but she may come off as someone overly worried about a mission or project in which she is a part of. And while not curious she can be interested, especially of course with those she has yet to have ever met. She would start a conversation, ask questions, but not press for anything, again unless it is crucial to the mission in her eyes. Re-tracking back to the pessimistic and realistic pieces of Morgan's persona; their is the matter of relationships. Morgan has trust issues, she does not believe people actually, truly bond to the point where two people, lovers or friends, can successfully commit full and complete honesty and loyalty. There is always a lie, an action of dishonesty and or disloyalty that will occur between any two people no matter how hard they try to be the utmost faithful to one another. Of course one could easily perceive Morgan takes this to an extreme as she regularly disowns relationships, and close friendships, with this mindset influencing her. She has made a vow to never become romantically involved or fall into the illusion of have a true and absolute friend. While not an adrenaline-junky, a large part of the reason Morgan opted for a Flight dragon is her pleasure in the thrills of the danger of falling in the air and being so high atop a dangerous fire breathing beats. Mostly though it's just the height and being among the sky. Often she is assumed to be a male when her name is mentioned to those who do not know her and have yet to actually meet her, it doesn't help that she usually wears a hood and mask (over her nose and mouth).
    STRENGTHS ★ Strategy & tactics. Her stamina is near-perfect and difficult to outdo. She is naturally intelligent aside from schooling. Her will and determination get her through most situations when all else fails.
    WEAKNESSES ★ hates, hates, hate hate hates spiders. Fuck spiders. And centipedes. Ambition & confidence. Social & societal expectations. Trust. She is not physically weak, but against her other attributes it is the weakest. She can be very competitive, to the point she ruins chances at friendship. Her speed is also lacking


    HISTORY ★ Morgan comes from a disheveled family, and by disheveled, I mean a rather mixed up family. Her biological mother left her biological father for his brother when she was two and her sister 1, their mother taking them with her of course. With his brother, their uncle, their mother gave them 2 half-stepbrothers. very confusing no? it's even more societally degrading when as a young child you go around trying to explain how related you're brothers actually are to you, and then are later marked as black sheep among the white herd of normalcy. Their mother a uncle/stepfather did not do well economically either, while the male parent actually attempted to make a living working in the fields, their mother found ways to turn to alcohol, and for the most part neglecting the activities of the children. Morgan ended up taking up the 'mom' role subconsciously- often having to keep a rough housing brother from the younger brother and weak sister. Morgan excelled in her schooling even while remaining reclusive and antisocial, she was dedicated to her work. At 9, and her sister 8, their biological father took custody of the girls and raised them with the help of another woman, a stepmother. the stepmother was nice and actually more lenient than their father, exploiting the girls to finer things of life and prompting them on more acceptable conversational topics and ideals among society- but also promoting their individualism and ambitions. Their father was a warrior, so he was often gone and the stepmother left to care for them in his stead, along with another step sister. The step sister shared no obvious endearment nor evil or unfair pretenses with the girls, but her bluntness as well as the stepmother's rubbed off visibly onto Morgan. Morgan began idolizing her stepmother as a role model, despite the point-blank differences in what they liked and what they didn't. However, used to being pitied and treated as a sad and pathetic child by those who felt sorry for her, Morgan's sister became manipulative and grew the habits of lying and stealing. Morgan witnessed both the relationships between her sisters and their boyfriends, finding them unhealthy yet her sisters blind to the fact- she has come to hate the idea of love for this reason. Morgan even questions her father's love for their stepmother after repeated threats of divorce behind her biological's sister's manipulating and pity card. Morgan was happy to remove herself from the stressful background and into her independence, being a Dragon rider, a warrior.

    DRAGON NAME ★ Noctyr
    TYPE ★ Flight
    DESCRIPTION ★ The majority of Noctyr is a spectacle of metallic-like scales that are tough in durability but smooth in texture. These scales are dominated by hues of dark grays and black, and easily reflect light. He has several large horns that almost work as a kind of headdress, a continuous visage of ominous smoke also rising from somewhere behind his ghastly horns. His large wings are also of this smokey appearance, but are also made of purple, glowing, veined orbs. A similar purple glow emits from some key areas among Noctyr's body, to include his eyes.
    PERSONALITY ★
    Very much akin to his rider except perhaps to a higher degree and some additional or opposing traits, Noctyr is brutal and unforgiving. He expects perfection if not aspiration for perfection. He is quick to criticize and again, like Morgan, has an honest and crudely blunt tongue. Noctyr mirrors the strengths of intelligence, though his stubbornness coupled with his superiority complex over water and land dragons often muddies his smarts into arrogance and ego. Noctyr also lacks care for anyone else except his own rider, but even the car for hi rider is not easily seen.

    @FadedDreams i had no idea that the picture i chose was a character from a game! i could change it if you want me to. i've found a few other pics that look aesthetically pleasing and wouldn't mind using a different one,,
