  • water !

Lance thought for a moment and shook his head. "We don't know for sure if somebody died here. It could just be a story the news made up so people would stay away from the abandoned park."

  • water !

Lance waved his hand dismissively. "That doesn't matter. We've got the whole of the day today, let's explore further back into the park." His brown eyes gleamed behind his cracked glasses, as if he weren't nervous about any supernatural happenings whatsoever.

  • Kate went back inside the ticket booth to change. "Hey uh Lance, can you turn the other way please, I have to change..." she said blushing. Hopefully he hadn't seen anything he shouldn't of. "I guess we should start with the beginning entrance maybe." she said softly.

  • He waited patiently as she changed, then he nodded. "Sure. And don't worry, I didn't see anything...much." he teased, then winked and laughed. "Only joking. C'mon." He took her hand and pulled her away.

  • She blushed quickly and threw a random sock at him. "I will punch you Lance O'Connor think I won't!" Kate laughed. Her hand was taken and they made their way to the entrance. Most of the rides were rusted but, maybe they could investigate the haunted house she had seen outside.

  • Lance laughed. "Oh, don't worry Kate! I don't doubt you." he chuckled, letting go of her hand once they reached the abandoned amusement park's gates. Then he turned to her, pushing his cracked glasses up his nose with a wide grin. "So, any idea of where we're going first?"

  • Lance pouted a big, then laughed. "Okay, as you wish. Don't let go of my hand else I might lose you." he teased again, however Lance seriously took Kate's hand and pulled her toward the funhouse.

  • Kate kept a firm grip on Lance's hand as they reached the entrance. The mirrors had been cracked a little, and it was rusted. "Um Lance, I low-key have a fear of clowns, so if they happen to be in here....I may have a panic attack ok?" she said nervously. Most of the fun houses she had been in, consisted of clowns, but they also weren't run down amusment parks either.

  • Lance rolled his eyes with a light chuckle. "My only fear is abandonment and isolation, so you're welcome to cling to me if you see any." Again, he was teasing, however it was also an invite. Lance was trying to indirectly say he was here if she needed comfort, but he wasn't good at subtlety. Lance moved forward a bit. Upon moving past a certain area, a high-pitched, typical clown's laugh erupted from a speaker, however it sounded fuzzy and broken. It faded away almost as quickly as it came, and Lance just glanced at it with a raised eyebrow. "Huh. Funny."

  • "Fuck this!"she yelled as the laugh erupted. It was honestly sounding like it came from every direction."I might take that offer Lance." she said clutching on to his arm. As they walked deeper into the fun house, it became darker and they heard the clown laugh again

( I actually do have a fear of clowns, thought I would include some of me in this story :))

  • //I'm actually only scared of abandonment and isolation, so we had the same idea xD I do get creeped out by other things too. I'm just not necessarily scared of them x3

Lance blushed a little, but reached over and ruffled her hair lightly. "Ay, it's just a laugh. There's nobody here to actually act as a clown." He fiddled with the sleeve of his hoodie, rolling them up as best he could with Kate gripping his arm. They rounded a corner, and, oh he jinxed it, an actual person in a clown costume was there at the end of the hallway. "Oh. I was wrong."

  • Kate smiled up at Lance, but as soon as she saw the clown she froze. "Ummmmmmm Lance............please tell me that is a prop."she whispered quietly, her breath becoming rougher. The clowns face was in the shadows, but it moved up a step and into the lighted hallway. It's smile was crooked and baring sharp teeth.

(Im ok with like pictures of clowns, but if they are like actually near me i freak out so badly!)

P.S. I'm going to add pictures for extra detail, it would be cool I think

  • //oh wow that's creepy xD

Lance moved one foot behind the other - one step backward. "That's...not a prop, Kate." His Adam's apple bobbed in his throat as he gulped, then he slowly reached over and awkwardly turned Kate around. "Walk forward. I'm going to walk backward and keep an eye on it - tell me if I'm going to step on something." With that, he took her hand and squeezed it, lacing his fingers in hers without really thinking. Lance then began to move backward, his brown eyes never leaving the clown smiling crookedly at him.

  • Kate did as was told, and turned around. There were no objects in the way so she kept him straight. His hand was a little bigger than her's but it fit perfectly, making her feel a little better. "You're doing good Lance, is he there s.."she was interrupted by a loud laugh of the clown. "Um....Lance?"she said her voice shaking. "There's not one, there's two..and he is f..fa..facing me." she said staring into the other clown's face. It's eyes were wide, and his smile was an evil grin.

  • Lance inhaled softly. He squeezed again, then watched as one produced a baseball bat as if it were a party trick, his hand circling the air and making a fake surprised face. Lance counted under his breath, then he ducked and shoved Kate so she'd squeeze past the clown facing her. He ran past too, but stumbled as his foot got caught on the clown's. "Jeez, I think isolation won't be my only fear after this." he joked. The clowns turned and there was a little scuffle before Lance tore through the funhouse, back the way they came with Kate's hand in hers.

  • Kate squeezed past the clown as she felt it's breath on her neck, she let out a scream. "Lance!!!!" she yelled as she watched him burst through the fun house doors. The evil nightmares were no where to be found. Kate felt a hand slide into her's and felt a tug. The duo sprinted past the rides back to the ticket booth. "Well, ok, not the fun house, it definitely is not fun." Kate said trying to lighten the mood.

  • Lance shrugged, slipping his hand away awkwardly. He'd been grabbing hers an awful lot lately and felt awkward about it. "Yeah, no kidding. I'm gonna find something to block the funhouse doors." Before long, an older broken rollercoaster cart sat in front of the funhouse doors, and he returned to Kate panting. "Okay, they're not comin' out anytime soon." After a few more minutes of catching his breath, he grinned and stood up straight. "Where to next?"

  • Kate's face saddened as Lance's hand was taken out of her's, she didn't want to admit it, but she kinda liked him. Her cheeks got a rosy red as he left to block the doors. When he came back with the devilish smile, she knew something was up. "Um, I don't know maybe the bumper cars? I always loved them when I was a kid."she said smiling at the memory. She got up and walked past Lance, to the bumper cars site. It was in a dark room, she figured it was glow in the dark bumper cars. She heard a sound, and looked behind her but Lance wasn't in the room yet. "Lance? Lance is that you, this isn't funny."she said quietly. All of a sudden she felt hands on her shoulders, closing in on her. "LANCEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" she shrieked, but it became muffled, and everything turned black.
