"Boy scout?" Lance cried incredulously, putting his hand over his heart in mock offence. "How dare you insult me!" he pouted, but the sparkle in his eyes showed he was only joking.

"It's only one of my many talents, Lance.", she said laughing at his mocking. She knew better than to flirt with him.
-
Lance shook his head and sighed, shaking an accusing (joke) finger at Kate. "You, young lady, are a despicable excuse of a human being." Then he raised his hands in case he offended her. "I'm joking." Before Lance could speak again, a loud bang rang throughout the darkening amusement park. Lance spun round to see a rollercoaster cart falling off one of the broken rails. He watched as it hit the ground with a thud, lines forming on his forehead. "Well, I guess at least we know what to check out first."
-
As the sound of the cart smashing the ground, roared throughout the park, Kate jumped. Almost into Lances arms, which made her jump again. She gazed around to see if there had been someone or something touching it, but there wasn't. She grabbed the flashlight a little tighter, and took a deep breath. "Yah, it seems like that will be the place." she said getting behind him. "Maybe, there are stairs to reach the beginning of it."
-
Lance watched her with a raised eyebrow, but shook his head. "Yeah, maybe." He began to walk forward, quickening his pace with every step. Eventually, he reached the cart. He crouched down and peeked inside of it. It was old and rusty, but clearly didn't work. "It's definitely not working. So I wonder how it fell down? It must've been pushed, because I didn't see a cart last time I looked at the rollercoaster."
-
She stood beside him, while he examined the cart."Yah, I wonder who would want to push a cart that much though, or why they are here?"she said raising her eyebrows back at him.
-
Lance sighed. "More importantly, who could have even got up there? That worries me most; I don't see any stairs." His head swung about.
-
She looked up at the coaster, realizing that the stairs were missing. "Maybe they climbed..."she said looking at him.
-
Lance shuddered. "Well, I'm not letting you risk your life. Stay here." He scooted over to a low hanging part of a rollercoaster and gripped onto it. Grunting, he pulled himself up onto the track.
-
She felt a little pang in her chest when he said that. He didn't know her, so why would he care what happened to her life. "Well, um be careful ok?", she said worrying. She could see the coaster swaying uneasily.
-
Once he'd hoisted himself up and was balancing precariously on the faded red track that sloped upward but also rattled every time he so much as twitched, Lance looked at her for a minute, then a smile crossed his face. "Have you ever even heard of me? I'm Lance O'Connie, when am I not careful?" Slowly, he began to walk up the track. It resulted in him climbing, but when he got up to where the split in the track was it was dangerous. There was a gap at the very peak. Lance looked around. "Hey, I think I see muddy footprints or something on the side here!"
-
She noticed as every movement he made it was graceful. She also noticed she had been holding her breath. She gasped and maintained composure as he was balancing. "I think maybe you should get down Lance, I have a really bad feeling."she said. A lot of the time she had bad feelings, something would happen. She had a bit of a physchic knowing
-
Lance waved his hand dismissively. "I'll be fine!" He bent down to examine the mud a little more, but when he shifted forward he found himself falling. Lance fell for only a brief moment before he caught the broken edge of the rollercoaster with his right hand. "Whoa!" Breathing out quietly, he looked down, unaware of the black hoodie figure that had actually pushed him instead of him falling. His glasses tumbled off his face down to Kate's feet. "...Whoa."
-
Kate saw the glasses falling, and caught them just in time. Softball came in handy, she thought. "See, I told you I had a feeling Lance, but no, no one believes it, until something happens, than they see me as a crazy woman." she said walking towards the coaster. SHe noticed the infaltables bouncy house in the corner. It wasn't flat surprisungly, but maybe it would work. "Here, I'll pull this over, you drop down.", Kate said looking at Lance.
-
Lance looked down and nodded. "Hurry though; I'm hanging on by one hand and I'm not sure how long I can last." He was oddly calm about the situation. Maybe because he was too busy thinking about why he felt something, although very slightly, on his back before he fell. Lance's brown eyes narrowed. Everything below him was a blur without his glasses.
-
She had moved the inflatable to where he was going to fall. "Here, you can jump now, it has to be now because it won't last Lance."Kate said worried. She knew of all the intuitons she got, knew they were true, she just had to listen to it more. Maybe Lance wouldn't think she was crazy.
-
Lance nodded and let go, landing on the inflatable. It didn't hurt too much but a small pang of pain rang through him. He looked up but squinted, unable to see that far up. "I think someone pushed me. Have you got my glasses?" He looked at the blurry figure of Kate, brows knitting together.
-
She quickly handed him his glasses, also trying to get him up. "There was no one there Lance, unless of course they were invisible." Kate quickly looked up at the coaster, seeing no one there, gave her an eiree feeling.
-
Lance shook his head as he slipped his glasses on. "I definitely felt something Kate. Whatever; it's getting dark. Let's head back." He took Kate by the shoulders and started gently urging her away.
-
she got upset, he was so upset aT This. Noone ever believed her when she had said she got th bad feelings. "I beleive you, you should of listened to me Lance.", she said TurninG around.
