  • Lance flinched as crows flew out over his head but shook his head. "Wow. Typical horror jump scare." He continued on and glanced up at a wrecked, broken rollercoaster. "Wanna take a ride?" he joked, pointing at it.

  • " If that was a joke, it wasn't funny", she retorted. She had heard stories of all the reasons this place closed down. "Did you hear all the stories about this place?" she said looking at the rollercoaster.

  • Lance shrugged. "No, not really. I don't pay attention to those sorts of things. But, in all seriousness, we should find a place to stay. Like a base or something." As he spoke, he pulled a pair of thick-rimmed black glasses out of his pocket, slipping them on.

  • She snorted when she saw the glasses he had put on."Sir dorkalot to the rescue I see. Or maybe even the secret geek side to Lance O'Connor." she said doubling over.

  • "Ha ha, very funny. I don't wear them at school for that exact reason, but in truth I can't see further than my arm's length without them." Lance muttered, clearly regretting putting them on in front of Kate of all people. Lance looked around and moved forward a bit. Right now, things were quiet, but Lance had a feeling it wouldn't stay quiet for long.

  • She was surprised he had worn them in front of her. Wasn't he worried about his reputation. "Just get contacts, they won't let your little geeky secret out." She said stepping in front of him. There is a giant ticket booth we could stay in. She knew how to use survival skills pretty easily. "Why did you even agree to this Lance?"

  • Lance snorted. "Contact lenses irritate my eyes." He glanced around, also spotting said ticket booth. "It was a dare. Jane already thinks I'm chicken after I backed out of a dare that said I had to kiss my friend Jack, so I wasn't going to turn this one down. Besides, it seems like fun." Lance smiled at her, pulling his rucksack onto his shoulder a little more.

  • [me either ]

She turned towards the ticket booth and grabbed the handle. It wouldn't move, so she decided to just kick the door in, it wouldn't matter. "Sounds like you get offered lots of dares, I guess." she said walking inside.

  • Lance shrugged, walking in after her. "Yeah. That's what happens when you're popular, I guess." He looked around. It was dusty and some of the windows were shattered. It was a small confined space, but it seemed to be rather empty. "Okay, I guess we'll just set up here, but we're not staying here forever. We are so exploring at least one part of the theme park before we sleep or anything."

  • The ticket booth was spacious, suprisingly, she was tiny anyways though. She dropped her bag at the corner of the booth and turned around. "Did you bring a flashlight.", she said holding her's in her hand. Kate was always prepared, especially in a very dangerous situation. She didn't trust Lance, or really anyone, she didn't like him either. I mean yah, he was of course cute, but he didn't need to be bothered by girls like her. She looked up at him waiting for an answer.

  • Lance rummaged through his bag and pulled one out. "Yup, sure did! Little surprised I remember it, but I'll save mine in case yours runs out." He slipped it into his pocket and smiled at her.

  • She looked at him sideways, thinking about why he was smiling. He was trapped in here for a weekend with her, not fun. She walked past him, kinda slouching. "So, um, where to than?"

  • Lance shrugged. "Well, it doesn't get dark till about seven. So how about we just wonder around this area of the park?" he suggested, brown eyes searching. It didn't appeal to him, but he was definitely not going to back down now.

  • Lance nodded. "Well, I'll take the lead!" the bubbly boy announced, skipping forward merrily. He had no idea exactly what was in store for him, or when it would happen.
