  • Ashpaw sat in Thunderclan camp next to the apprentice's den, giving herself a well deserved bath. The apprentice had had a very boring morning and she'd spent most of it sitting around camp. She hadn't been invited to go on any patrols and her mentor was busy doing something outside of camp with a few other clan members. She couldn't recall exactly what they were doing, but she figured the other cat was on one of the many patrols that had gone out that morning. She finished cleaning up her messy gray fur and stood up. She stretched and looked around the camp boredly.

In the short time Brownpaw has been alive he has seen a lot of hardship which has made him the ill tempered cat he is today. Brownpaw even now after everything he has gone through still refuses to leave the path of the Warrior. He wants to prove to his dead Father and Mother and his brother's and sister's in StarClan that he is strong.
    • Roleplay Sample {Required for first advanced bio}: Brownpaw walked out into the forest in search of prey to feed ThunderClan. Brownpaw opened his mouth to drink in the scents of the forest. It was Greenleaf and due to that the forest was alive. Brownpaw soon found a scent of a mouse. Brownpaw looked around trying to pinpoint where the mouse was with his one eye. Brownpaw soon saw a mouse on the ground next to a tree root. 'I need to be careful not to make any noise otherwise it will scurry under that tree root.' Brownpaw thought to himself. Brownpaw dropped into the hunters crouch and inched closer and closer. The wind began to blow behind him sending the scent of his approach to the mouse. The mouse ended up picking up the scent and running under the tree root. "Mouse dung!" Brownpaw cursed the wind.

Brownpaw walked over he would look at Ashpaw with his one eye. "You look bored you want to go do something maybe hunt?" Brownpaw asked his dark figure was bigger than Ashpaw but he was actually about the same age. He could remember playing with Ashpaw as kits all the trouble they used to get themselves into those were the good old days. Brownpaw waiting for an answer though the twitching of his tail showed he was pretty impatient and likely if she didn't answer quick he would go on with his day. Brownpaw was unfortunate he didn't have an easy time hunting due to having only one eye. However that never stopped him often people told him he should just go and do something other than Apprentice for a Warrior.

  • A surprised sound escaped from Ashpaw's mouth at the sound of another voice. She hadn't even noticed Brownpaw come up. "Hunting? Sure! I need to get in some practice anyway!"she replied. The apprentice wasn't the greatest hunter and though she always tried her hardest, things didn't always work out the way she wanted them to. She wasn't very good at fighting either and she also needed to work on that. She was pretty good at doing other things. One of her favorite pass times was tree climbing, the other happened to be sleeping. Honestly, Ashpaw was pretty lazy and preferred sleeping to doing anything else. Her mentor always joked that she was the laziest cat in camp. Ashpaw wouldn't be surprised if that turned out to be true. She did love her sleeping.

  • Brownpaw would lead them into the forest as they neared some ferns a vole came out and was scuffling around the tree roots. Brownpaw barely spotted it he would get into a hunter's crouch and slowly advance however the vole slowly entered his blind spot. Brownpaw would have to move to find it. He tried to move but he scared the vole. In a last stitch effort to catch the vole he made a mad dash for it. But he ended up losing it in his blind spot. "Mousedung it is gone. I hate having only one eye." Brownpaw said.

(Feel free to have Ashpaw be the reason for Brownpaw's missing eye if you'd like.)

  • Ashpaw followed Brownpaw out of camp and into the forest. She moved at a rather slow pace, her feet softly touching the ground. Though she was going slowly, she also moved quietly. Finally they made it to there destination and she looked around for some prey. She watched as Brownpaw tried to catch something. A frown spread across her feline face when he didn't catch it. "Better luck next time."she said. She sent ed the air, trying to find something to catch.

  • Brownpaw sighed. "I guess so. I hate having only one eye. But it can't be helped." Brownpaw said. He would head in another direction it was warm today. He could feel the sun rays hit his dark fur it felt good. He closed his eye and began to purr slightly. The clearing was nice and unusually open. He opened his eye he saw nothing on the left side reminding him of his missing eye. But he began scanning this clearing he saw a mouse scuttling around the edge of the clearing. Brownpaw backed up in the foliage and began to slowly make his way towards the mouse in a hunters crouch.

Brownpaw inched closer and closer he would soon be in pouncing distance. He could smell the mouse it was his favorite unfortunately this would be for the Clan. Brownpaw was finally in pouncing distance he built power in his hind legs before launching himself clear through the air and quickly dispatching the mouse. He would pick it up and bring it back to show Ashpaw pride shone in his one eye. "Look Ashpaw!" Brownpaw said happily the tiny mouse dangling from his jaws.

  • While Brownpaw went off to get that mouse, Ashpaw decided to go find something else to catch. She ended up coming across a squirrel. She got into a hunter's crouch and made her way over to the squirrel. Just as she was about to pounce however, she ended up stepping on a twig and it scared away the squirrel. "Mouse dung!"she cursed to herself. The sound of Brownpaw's voice caught her attention and she turned around. "You caught something!"she exclaimed and ran over to the other apprentice. "Great job, Brownpaw! You're way better at this than I am."she praised the other cat.

ooc:also about the thing you said earlier about Ashpaw being the reason for Brownpaw's missing eye, I was going to say something about it but forgot. Anyway, I like that idea. I know Ashpaw wouldn't have done it on purpose though. It would have been an accident.

  • "Your just saying that." Brownpaw said meekly. He would drop his mouse though. "So what about heading back to put this freshkill pile and than heading back out to help you?" Brownpaw asked.

(I know so let's say as kits they play fought and she accidently brought her claws out and accidently clawed his eye out?)

  • "Well it's true!"Ashpaw said. She nodded her head about going to camp to drop off his mouse. "Sounds like a good idea. I almost caught a squirrel earlier, but it got away."she said, sounding defeated. She sometimes felt like she was bad at everything and wished she could at least be good at something other than sleeping and tree climbing. She at least wanted to be somewhat useful and it was frusterating sometimes.

    ooc:alright! that works for me.

  • "Alright." Brownpaw said as he picked the mouse up. He would begin back towards the Camp. He looked at Ashpaw. "You seem frustrated any particular reason?" Brownpaw asked they've known eachother for a long time since they were kits and he knew when she was frustrated.

  • Ashpaw walked instep with Brownpaw, back towards the camp. She didn't answer his question right away though, and instead stayed silent. She wasn't so sure she wanted to tell him what was wrong, but had a feeling if she didn't tell him he'd get worried. She and Brownpaw had known each other since they were kits, so she knew the other cat knew her pretty well. "I'm just - I sometimes feel like I can't do anything right. I try my hardest, but no matter what I do I always fail."she huffed. Sometimes she wondered why she was even an apperentice in the first place. All she was good for was sleeping and that was it.

  • Brownpaw stopped and sat the mouse down. "That's when you work harder. Look at me look at my left eye. It's gone but you know what. I don't give up I would never give up why you ask? Because as soon as you give up that is when you are truly defeated. I'm determined to become a Warrior and you should be too. It's going to be tough but you know what you should be willing to do anything it takes to protect your Clan mates. I know why don't I help you train? I could help you and your Mentor to train you. I mean I don't have a Mentor so how about it? Want to train with me?" Brownpaw meowed he seemed to be there for Ashpaw just like all those other times she was down. Yeah sure she was the reason he didn't have his left eye. But it didn't take long for him to forgive her and be there for her. Brownpaw waited a bit impatiently at her reply.

  • Ashpaw listened to Brownpaw's reply. His words made her feel better. He always knew how to make her feel better when she was down. However, she didn't think him training with her and her mentor would be a good idea. She was already having enough trouble as it was, she didn't think two cats being around would help her make much progress. Honestly, she thought it would distract her more and cause more issues. "You always know how to make me feel better, though I don't think you helping me would be a good idea. It would probably make things worse honestly."she said. Another problem she had when it came to training was that she got distracted easily and sometimes she didn't always put her heart into what she was doing.

ooc: I didn't post right away because I was working on a 1d thread. LLN

  • "Okay Ashpaw now let's continue back towards the Camp." Brownpaw said picking up the mouse before turning towards the camp and starting off again. Brownpaw however was stopped by tripping over a root on his left side. "Oof." Brownpaw fell but he got back up just fine. "Dumb Root." Brownpaw cursed.

  • Ashpaw nodded her head at his words and started to follow Brownpaw back towards the camp. She frowned a bit when her friend tripped. She stopped dead in her tracks and turned to look at her friend. "Are you alright?"she asked him, sounding concerned.

ooc: I have terrible muse right now.

  • "Yeah i'm fine let's keep going." Brownpaw said as he got up and continued to walk. They would get to the camp soon. And place his kill on the freshkill pile. And said "Alright lets go." Brownpaw meowed happily.

  • Ashpaw followed Brownpaw to the camp. When they got there she waited on him to put his fresh kill on the pile. When he did she followed him out of camp. "Alright!"she exclaimed as she followed him.

  • Brownpaw continued to pad through undergrowth as he was he saw a bird fly down it was Ashpaw's time to shine. Brownpaw hid waiting to see what Ashpaw would do.

  • Ashpaw saw the bird fly down and land a little ways away from her. She got into a hunter's crouch and slowly started to stalk the bird. She moved really slowly and she tried to stay still. This was starting to get boring though and just when she thought she was close enough to run up and pounce, a really loud sound boomed through the forest. She didn't know what the sound was, but all that she knew was that it had scared off her bird. She had a feeling that it was probably just another animal or maybe some twolegs. They were actually kinda close to the twoleg border."Mouse dung! It got away!"she exclaimed as she watched the bird fly off into the sky.

  • "Maybe we should go back that sounded close." Brownpaw mewed staring at her with his one eye. "We could do some battle training instead?" Brownpaw meowed giving a suggestion. He would walk towards the Training Clearing. His tail swaying back and forth the sound of that loud boom still ringing inside his head.
