  • NorthernClan: The Brave Ones (Sign-Ups!)

    It was New Years eve, night began to fall and as the colored run stretched across the sky, cats from all clans emerged under the stars towards one another. Echostar was followed by her clan as they approached the gathering of the four corners. Northernclan was the last clan to arrive, they were a tad bit late thanks to Emberblaze, who did not want to see Southernclan and put up a bit of a fight. The events regarding Southernclan were, to say the least, not great. They had fallen under the rule of a new leader recently named Ashstar, and his obvious dislike for Northernclan was pretty obvious, it was most likely the fued Ashstar had with Echostar when they were both kits in the separate clans, they had become friends when they were very young but it was never found out why one day Ashkit (at the time) just refused to talk to Echokit anymore, and Echokit wouldnt fess up to anything she might've done, apparently it was bad enough that still to this day the two feuded.

    Mossheart padded along with her clan, her mute sister at her side, looking quite displeased at the fact that she was forced to come, she didn't like the gatherings because they made her a bit uncomfortable being around so many different cats, and when they try to talk to her she would just have to look away. "You don't have to worry Rosepaw, we'll stay for a few hours and then I'll tell Echostar you have a stomach ache and that I want to take you back to camp. Sound good?" Mossheart smiled and Rosepaw raised her head happily and nodded.

    Noodlekit found it absolutely absurd that he wasn't allowed to go to the colored run New Years Gathering until he was an apprentice. He knew just as much as any dumb apprentice, maybe even more. However, despite his many pleadings, Echostar had refused his claim. So here he was, stuck at camp with no one there but a couple of elders, how mouse-brained. "Hey Smokekit, we should totally sneak over to the gathering, we deserve to met the other clans, dont you think?" He said getting to his feet.

  • Hollowfang calmly padded behind Echostar. Although he showed no signs of hostility, he eyed the other cats warily. After moons upon moons of aggression, he was not willing to let his guard down simply for a gathering. Despite them being Starclan bound cats, he wasn't very confident on where Southernclan stood. Gazing around, he let out a small sigh. At least Westernclan and Easternclan were looking well.

    Mousepaw scuttled after her clan mates, cursing her own short legs. Even so, that brief annoyance was cut short when they neared the gathering grounds and she spotted the other clan cats. So many tall, large looks cats. Northernclan was full of those as well, but she didn't know any of these ones. This was her very first gathering - she had received her apprentice just that moon. Without a second thought, she inched a bit closer to her mentor, Mossheart.

    Ashstar stood on the top of the leader's rock with the other neighboring clan's leaders, a scowl on his face that was directed towards that of Northernclan. "Took them long enough." He muttered to himself, flicking his bushy grey tails back and forth while narrowing his amber eyes down at Echostar.

  • Deerleap followed the clan, glancing upwards at the colored run for a moment before moving on. He wasn't sure how to feel about this gathering if he was perfectly honest, some part of him felt tense and uneasy. Fallowtail, the last medicine cat, had predicted that Southernclan would become an enemy sooner rather than later. How many of the old cat's crazy ranting had been true before he died? He'd imparted much wisdom onto Deerleap, but the tom was not one to think on the bright side, however strange that was for a cat of his status. He shook those thoughts out of his head and bounded along to catch up with the rest of the clan.

    Ivorystar stared down from his spot, not really making a move to get down but nodding respectfully to Echostar. He wasn't going to get his clan involved in this banal scuffle between Southernclan and Northernclan. "Oh, you know how things are" the tom purred, despite the fact that statement could mean almost anything. He wasn't one to take sides at all, that was Westernclan's poison of choice.

    "Are you sure?" Smokekit asked quietly, not wanting to wake her sleeping mother. Tallstar had spent all day helping her friends get ready for the gathering, and she had fallen asleep almost as soon as everyone was gone. "I don't know the way to the four corners" she admitted, looking down. She wasn't the most adventurous kit on the planet really. She played outside, 'hunted' her mother's tail, and listened to stories from Emberblaze.

  • Ashstar eyed Ivorystar at his words but made no move to reply. He was hardly interested in anything Westernclan had to offer - as far as he was concerned, they were a clan of soft hearts who couldn't pick a side unless someone told them to. Even Easternclan was better than them, with their lean and un-muscular warriors. 'I remember when Starclan angered at late arrivals to the gatherings. The clans have truly gone to the mice.' He wished to end the pointless meeting and take his clan back to their territory as soon as possible.

    [align=left]Silvermist–
    Silvermist excited padded along with her clan. This was only the second year the she-cat had gone to the color run, and the first since she's been a warrior. Silvermist always loved coming with the other clans to play games. It was amazing to see how although there were feuds, all clans set those aside to have fun. Silvermist sensed some tension between the clans, but she pushed that aside and began walking faster so she was next to Echostar. Last year, Silvermist was just an apprentice and stood by her mother the whole time. This time, she had no one to run too and would have to interact with other cats alone.

    Moonshadow–
    Moonshadow walked a far from the clan, watching the movements of each cats from the other clans. He sensed something terrible would happen, but this gathering was meant to be peaceful. Silvermist was at the top of his worries. This was the first gathering since Feathertail's death, and so far, the she-cat hadn't seem to mourn. His next worry was between Echostar and Ashstar. Growing up after Echostar, he learned that she and Ashstar were tight friends as kits, but had a bumpy path afterward. He looked at the other clans, seeing that Northernclan was the last to arrive.

  • Bumblepaw padded along with his clanmates, he wondered what the other clans would discuss with them. The young tom sat beside Mousepaw and Mossheart, he looked over at the warrior and wondered aloud "I wonder if this gathering will be interesting." he glanced around at the westernclan southernclan and easternclan cats and couldn't help but wonder what they were all talking about.

    Suntuft proudly sat near the rest of Westernclan's warriors, she watched as the last of Northernclan's cats arrived. She smiled, happy for the gathering to begin. After being able to come to some gatherings from her apprenticehood she grew a bit tired of coming to them, though she did like to know what the other clans were up to, as long as their prey didn't change.

  • Mousepaw's tail twitched when Bramblepaw spoke, a long-term habit, as her claws dug into the dirt anxiously. "W-what does that mean?" What was considered interesting? Did cats usually fight at these type of things? The very thought only made her more worried. She wasn't ready to get into any fights - her name said it all, she was practically a mouse.

  • Bumblepaw looked at Mouspaw and gave her a warm smile "No, not usually any ways," he chuckled ", I was just wondering if there was anything interesting happening within the other clans." he lay his tail comfortingly on the tail of the slightly younger she cat "So don't worry too much about it Mousepaw." he looked back up at the leaders

  • Mousepaw calmed down a bit at Bumblepaw's words. He was an older apprentice and had been to a couple gatherings, of course he would know more than her. She followed his gaze back up towards the leaders and wanted to shrink back as soon as she saw Southernclan's leader, Ashstar. She had heard a bit of kit tales about him, but his appearance only furthered her beliefs. He was a large, gray tom with amber eyes and a battle scarred flank. Next to the other leaders, he resembled that of a lion. Puffed out fur and a scowling look upon his face. He glared down at the other clan cats as though they were all his enemies. She shuffled a bit closer to Bumblepaw.

  • [center][fancypost=background:; font-align: justify; min-height: 100px; width: 65%;]
    [align=left]Silvermist–
    Silvermist noticed both Bumblepaw and Mousepaw talking about the gathering. They each seemed curious, but Mousepaw seemed the most timid. It was true, the tension between Northernclan and Southernclan was inevitable to even the littlest kitten. She stationed herself near Suntuft and Moonshadow, awaiting for the leaders to make a move.
    [fancypost=background:; font-align: justify; min-height: 100px; width: 100%;]
    Moonshadow–
    Everything was silent. Moonshadow knew not why, but there was a strange essence in the air. Northernclan had finally situated themselves and now everyone was just waiting for their leaders to talk. Moonshadow first looked to Ashstar, leader of Southernclan, for any hints of hostility.

  • "Evening, Ivorystar, Dovestar, Ashstar." Echostar said, her eyes narrowed as she sat next to Dovestar. "I hope your travels here weren't too harsh, as for us, one of our Warriors had an issue and we were attempting to solve it." Echostar explained
    "Actually, I could solve my issue right now." Emberblaze muttered and narrowed his eyes rising to his feet.
    "Emberblaze dont." Mossheart mumbled right behind him and stood up slightly, reading to hold Emberblaze back if anything was to happen. However, the old warrior yielded Mosshearts calm warning and sat down again. Rosepaw glanced worriedly between her two friends Bumblepaw and Mousepaw.
    "Tensions are rising, almost exciting isn't it?" Maryjane whispered slowly padding over to Moonshadow and Silvermist. "I don't believe we've met, my name is Maryjane." She said between the two

  • Bumblepaw couldn't help but to smile slightly when he noticed Mousepaw moving a bit closer to him. He fixed his gaze onto EchoStar as she spoke, though it quickly moved over to Emberblaze, he frowned as he glanced at Mousepaw then to Rosepaw where his gaze lingered a it before standing up and looking back at the warriors "Let's hope to Starclan that nothing bad happens at a gathering.." he meowed quietly half to himself.

  • [center][fancypost=background:; font-align: justify; min-height: 100px; width: 65%;]
    [align=left]Silvermist–
    Silvermist dipped her head to greet the Easternclan cat. "I'm Silverstar, and the black cat is Moonshadow, my cousin." The silver tabby took a step closer to whisper to Maryjane. "He doesn't talk much, he's a bit socially awkward," she giggled as Moonshadow let out a low growl.
    [fancypost=background:; font-align: justify; min-height: 100px; width: 100%;]
    Moonshadow–
    Moonshadow gave Maryjane a smile, but soon frowned as Silvermist started spreading her rumors. "Silvermist, why must you lie all the time. You know that isn't true," the darkish gray tom replied to her snarky comment.

  • Ashstar snorted. "If your warriors cannot handle a simple walk to a gathering, I don't understand why you choose to call them warriors at all." He spoke with hostility, flicking his tail with a sense of angered pride. Nonetheless, he did not dwell on Echostar very long. Turning towards Ivorystar and Dovestar, he nodded his head. "You two can go before Southernclan, it isn't as though we have anything troublesome to report." He puffed out his chest, proud of his clan's strength. It was noticeable that he did not offer Northernclan the same hospitality, if you can call it such.

    Mousepaw turned slightly towards Bumblepaw. "That large gray one looks scary..." She spoke timidly, avoiding looking at the leader almost entirely. She was a new apprentice, only recently moving out of the Nursery, but even then she had heard tall tales about Southernclan and their leader. Some of the elder kits had told her that they ate other cats, surely just to spook her but they succeeded well enough. After a few seconds of silence, Mousepaw turned towards Rosepaw and delivered her a kind smile. Although Mousepaw tended to stick close to Bumblepaw because he made her feel safe, he was older and she did not get to spend much time on patrols with him. Rosepaw was her age and very nice to Mousepaw, never teasing her about her jumpy nature or calling her a coward. 'Maybe that's just because she can't speak.' The thought disheartened her, but Mousepaw was sure that if Rosepaw could speak, she would still be kind to the former. And a plus with Rosepaw was that she never snuck up on Mousepaw or startled her with her voice.

  • "Peace Ashstar, we wouldn't want a fight at a gathering would we?" Ivorystar questioned, narrowing his eyes. He didn't like conflict, and he would be sure to end it swiftly. Whether he ended it through diplomacy or force was irrelevant. "I will go first if nobody else wants to, though Easternclan has been quiet lately" he continued, glancing at the other leaders. The last thing he would do was speak out of turn. He had no desire to speak first, but he wasn't going to sit here all night trying to decide.

    Deerleap stood apprehensively, eyeing the Southernclan leader before glancing at Echostar. He felt low in his gut that something bad was going to happen. Ashstar did not look very happy, and Emberblaze's temper was only making the situation tense. Yes, he was a medicine cat. Fallowtail always told him that being bored as a medicine cat was the greatest gift to recieve. Maybe it was nerves. He wanted to say something to the leader, but held his tongue. The absolute last thing they needed was panic due to what may simply be anxiety.

  • Bumblepaw looked from Mousepaw to Ashstar, he couldn't help but to frown a bit as he eyed the large gray tom. He looked back at Mousepaw and just gave a small shrug "He does seem pretty intimidating, but," he meowed quietly so none of the other clan warriors would hear him ", I don't think he would try anything at a gathering." he wasn't entirely sure that he wouldn't do anything. Bumblepaw was relieved when he realized that Ivorystar had started to speak.

  • Mousepaw wasn't sure whether or not she trusted Bumblepaw on that one. Looking up, she noticed that the light ginger tom had began to speak. Ivorystar, it must have been. Mossheart had taught her the leader names and their pelt coloring, as well as what different clan cats tended to look like. She said that Easternclan cats weren't the biggest, but they were very crafty and clever. They seemed like fair cats - but they were not allied to Northernclan like Westernclan was, so she shouldn't let down her guard. But next to Ashstar and all those Southernclan cats, they looked harmless.

    Hollowfang stood under the leaders rock with the rest of the deputies, though made no attempt at conversation with them or any other cats for that matter. Tensions had been running high between the clans as of late, even now Ashstar seemed snappier than usual. It made him wonder if there really was nothing wrong with Southernclan. 'No matter, he's always been an unpleasant cat.' He'd only recently been appointed as deputy, and was a young one at that, so clearly he would not be leader for some while. 'But if I was, I wouldn't let him speak to me like that.' He flexed his claws into the ground at the thought.

  • OOC: Springbreak hype! I'll be more active now!!

    "I think it would be preferred if you went first Ivorystar." Echostar said, she still had a matter to attend to with her deputy, it was the matter of if they should bring up the fact about Noodlekit, a kit born in the time of a Gemini, yet his twin was no where to be found, she wondered vaguely if one of the other clans had seen the kit. Then again, she didn't want her clan to be accused of kit-napping. "Hallowfang, should we bring up Noodlekit?" She said under her breath to her deputy.

    "Of course I'm sure!" Noodlekit whispered to Smokekit. "You just gotta trust me, we just have to follow the scents of the clan and then we can see the meeting for ourselves." Noodlekit said nodding and slowly rose to his feet. If he was being honest, he was going to go anyway, but he would feel a lot more comfortable if Smokekit was to go with him.

    Rosepaw couldnt shake a small feeling that was going on in her head. Looking between Mousepaw and Ashstar something felt...off. They both had the same color of pelt. Had the same facial expressions and even moved the same. Was it possible that Mousepaw...was some how related to Northernclans enemy.

    "Fights always make for bad party dismissals." Maryjane sighed looking between the leader of NorthernClan and SouthernClan. "Hopefully the gods don't get too angry." The she-cat said looking at the tiny bit of clouds that began to form in the sky.

  • "Well, Easternclan has some good news to report. We recently appointed our newest apprentice, Bamboopaw" Ivorystar spoke. A tiny silver kit seemed to shy away from the attention. "And of course, hunting has been good and all that. Things have been quiet overall" the Easternclan leader sighed, curling his tail around his paws. "Who would like to go next?" he questioned, glancing at the other leaders with polite interest.

    "If you say so" Smokekit nodded, getting up and licking her chest nervously. She'd never slipped out before, and the whole idea was rather foreign to her. Her mom would kill her if they were caught, no, she'd kill them both and then make their pelts into a nest. She only got more nervous, but stood her ground and waited for the other kit to make the first move.

  • OOC: sweet :)

    IC: Bumblepaw watched the leaders in anticipation as he sat next to Mousepaw, he watched the little silver kit that was apparently now called Bamboopaw. Bumblepaw thought he looked a bit small to be an apprentice, even for six moons, he shot him a soft smile in hope that it might be comforting before looking back up at the leaders to see who would be next to speak.
