I prefer at least 3-4 sentences, Please and thank you :)

  • Jace ran down the street. He turned, and dashed down an ally way, where he did a few more turns, and suddenly was in a field. He kept going until he reached the forest. He stopped, smiling up at the trees. This was his favourite place in the whole world. No one could judge him here, he could be himself. HE shapeshifter in a small squirrel, and clambered up a tree. He sat there, twitching his tail happily.

  • Evalynn slowly walked through the forest not that far from where Jace had perched himself. Her deer form a slender form of brown fur as she walked rather silently through the brush, her thin legs silently and effortlessly carrying her to the edge as she was preparing to shift to go home for the evening.

  • //I thought this was dead, thank you for joining!

Jace pricked his ears as a large mammal traipsed below him. A deer, one that for some reason caught his eye. Jace was used to seeing animals in the woods, but it was rare to see larger ones, as the forest was close to the city. 'Hello!' He chattered from the branch, though to any normal deer it would be nothing but squirrel noises. To a shapeshifter however, the words would be clear. Jace wasn't thinking about that, it hadn't even crossed his mind the deer might be like him.

  • Adeline laid down in the field, her clothes matching the color of the grass as she stared up at the sky. She sighed and sat up, turning into a wolf, taking a walk through the forest, sitting down at the heart of the forest not far from Evalynn, eyeing the trees and bushes.

  • Pausing suddenly, Evalynn glanced around before her eyes shifted to find Jace, knowing well he was another shifter as she stood rigid for a time, suddenly turning and trotting off, her tail up in nervousness. She hadn't known there were others around the area, seeing as in several years she had never seen one.

  • Jace tilted his head. The deer looked surprised, obviously, but also.. More aware, like his words had had a meaning. He scuttled down the tree, intent on following who could be like him. Someone who would understand. There was the risk she was an Other, but Jace doubted that, or he'd have been swarmed. He became his bear form, ambling after her curiously, not realizing the bear form might be scary for a prey animal, despite his friendly look.

  • Glancing back to now see a small black bear, her eyes widened as she moved a bit quicker, bouncing over a bush and then shifting down into a slender black panther, trotting along before suddenly jumping up into the nearest tree, no further sign of any deer nearby.

  • Adeline’s head shot up as she saw a panther rush by, sensing that she was an Other, watching her leap into a tree. Not far from Adeline was a black bear, and she could tell he was also an Other. She stood up on her fours and padded over to the bear, though she was a couple feet away from him. “Hello,” she barked quietly,

  • Jace widened his eyes as the deer suddenly shifted, becoming a panther before disappearing a few paces ahead of him. When he came to the spot he couldn't see her, but her scent lead up. He paused for a moment, then turned his head to see a wolf blinking at him. 'Hey!' He exclaimed, then feeling a bit nervous. There were two of them, one above him and one right here. But Others don't run, they swarm and attack. So these two being here must be coincidence. They must be ok. Jace looked up the tree, where he could faintly see the outline of the black cat. Looking back at the wolf, he shifted into human, hoping the others two would do the same. "I didn't know there were any other shifters in the area. Any that weren't Others by now anyway." Jace wondered if the girls even knew what those were, which wouldn't be surprising. He'd only learned the year before what had killed his family, looking for him.

  • Adeline watched the boy shift into a human, and she did the same, tucking her blonde hair into a ponytail. “I didn’t really know either,” she replied. ‘I just kind of assumed that I was the only one.”

  • Watching the too below, Evalynn remained where she was, but did speak up as well. ”It’s odd seeing more like me, how come we’re only just meeting now? She asked almost innocently.

  • Jace wished he could think he was the only shape shifter. He'd known before he moved to this city, but all the other shifters he'd met in his old town were already Others. That fact had scared him into hiding, and Jace was surprised he'd followed the first girl so quickly without knowing who's side she was on. "There are definitely other ShapeShifters, I can tell you that." Not all of them were good anymore. Looking up the tree to the first girl, Jace shrugged. "It is, but to be honest I'm usually not the most social. I spend my time in the city, and come out here when I feel like shifting. Perhaps today's the day we all took a bit of a risk in meeting." Then again, it was a bit suspicious. Were other forces manipulating them? Jace hoped not, they didn't need things to go wrong, not when they'd all found shape shifters like themselves! The one girl seemed wary, so perhaps she knew of Others. To be sure though, Jace asked. "Do either of you know what Others are. and what they can do?"

  • ”You mean the corrupted shifters who work for hidden forces hunting the rest of us down just for who we are?” Evalynn seemed to snap hostile before jumping down in ease, shifting human while standing as she crossed her arms and rested onto her right leg, the left kicking out some.

  • //lol how'd you know?

Jace turned to the girl as she took the words out of his mouth, and nodded with a slight laugh. "Yeah, those're them. I'm assuming neither of you are one of them, or I'd have been ambushed and bitten by now." He paused, deciding he might as well trust them, safety in numbers and all that. "I'm Jace."

  • “Names Evalynn, but I wouldn’t be so trusting as often, especially with what’s been going on in the news if you hadn’t heard. A lot of shifters are getting killed and most of them seem to be our age. From here out, my suggestion would be to trust no one with what you are..” her words seemed to ring with experience rather than trying to bark orders. As if she had had a personal run in with the others.

  • Now knowing their names Jace felt a bit more comfortable, though Evalynn didn't appear to be. "Well, nice to meet you two." He listened to her words, nodding. "The Others are always looking for their next victim, which is why it's surprising we're all here..." Three shifters in one area would probably attract the Others if any were close by. Jace knew what Evelyn was saying when she said don't trust anyone, he'd already made that mistake. The one shifter he'd called a friend at one point... "Well I mean, since we all know none of us are Others, maybe we could stay together?" Jace wasn't sure what the better option was, split up and be less tempting, or stick together and fight off the Others when they came.

  • “It would be easier to split up and forget eachoher, but if we now know each other, there’s a risk of others finding at least one of us. Honestly, it’s be smart to split ways now, but in this time and day, it would now be smarter to stick together and defend each other when the need arose.” Evalynn explained calmly, glancing between them rather seeming uneasy in the open this way even though they were in a forest.

  • Adeline nodded at Evalynn’s comment, agreeing with her. “Yeah, I think that sounds like a good idea. I mean, we all could benefit from sticking together. The corrupt Others are probably going to be looking for us right about now, since the sun’s beginning to go down.”
