After a few moments Chimera gained the courage to try and walk on his own, and letting Wilson's shoulders go, he balanced on his own legs once again. "All better I guess," he hummed, flicking an ear once again. His ears swiveled around in an attempt to posts the noise, and they eventually found the source. Gesture in said direction, he continued walking.

Squad 13 will be deployed when Dinoswords posts again. They need to catch up. XD ))
The winds and dusts were getting a bit more intense, a bit of debris and tiny pebbles impacted into the windshield and the body of the drifter started to become dusty. To be fair, they had come a long way from Monsoon, hours had passed and the sun was slowly lowering to create the phase of dusk. Jay noticed this, and started to feel a bit uneasy. Being out here during the day was one thing, but to be out here at night.. Well, that was another, dangerous story. For some reason, the many things that lurked around in the world always seem to be more active at night, but no one knows why. "Uh, hey, we should probably find a town to head into to rest!" Jay called out to the driver, while he lightly laughed in return. "I wish we could, but the next rest stop isn't until another couple hours away, so there's nothin' I can do but keep driving!" He retorted, causing Jay to curse under her breath. She whipped her gaze to Jackie and reached to her holster to pull out her pistols. "Get prepared Slyman, because we might have to get trigger happy real soon!"
-
When he let go, Wilson watched carefully. A teammate who couldn't walk, even though the city was far away, wasn't something he was ready to deal with. When he was walking fine, he nodded, "That's good." When Chimera made a motion to follow him, he nodded, following him. Unaware of what the other could hear.
When everything started getting more intense, Jackie took some shelter but moving closer to the other, making sure not to push her out from her spot. When the driver laughed, she tilted her head in interest and confusion, until she heard the reason. When Jay spoke, she nodded, and pulled out the shotgun her brother forced her to take. She gave a childish smirk to the other, "I think it'll be fun to see how you shoot."
-
Jay smirked back at Jackie, a playful yet evil glint to her eye as she started preparing her pistols, cocking them and turning the safety off. "And it'll be such a pleasure to see you handle a gun as well.." She purred and sent the other a flirty wink, then suddenly yet skillfully twirled the pistols on each of her index fingers. It took about a half an hour for the sun to sink behind the distant mountains, meanwhile Jay's golden eyes never left their scan of the perimeter. Everything seemed to be clear. Everything seemed to be quiet and peaceful. But oh, how terribly wrong she was. A terrible screech and growling groan was heard, along with many footsteps coming towards them. Jay stiffened and narrowed her eyes, trying so hard just to pinpoint where those things were coming from. She saw moving silhouettes of what seemed to be running bodies coming towards her side, so she got her pistols ready, leaned forward, aimed, and fired. Because of the lack of light, she knew she missed a few times, but several cries of agony and pain were heard, aside with the thuds of dropped bodies in the dirt. "Jackie, watch your side!" She yelled over the loud roar of the drifter's engine, but she then softly chuckled and quirked a brow. "It's time to see how you shoot, dollface." She cooed, soon finding the balance to stand up in the vehicle and turn towards the back, soon shooting and killing an infected that managed to jump and climb onto the drifter.
-
She smirked, watching the other twirl them. What a show off. An attractive show off. She watches the area with a bored look. Nothing seemed to be out there, yet she was so on edge. Her mind drifted back to her brother, where was he? Is he alright? Did him and Chimera get along? She shook off the thoughts as it few dark, her eyes scanning once more. Hen the groan was heard, she perked up, feeling Jay stiffen. She sat up more, ready for whatever. When Jay yelled her warning, then her comment, Jackie laughed, and got ready. She moved to the outer side carefully, and shot into the pack, hearing a few of them fall, while the other's yelled out. She smiled, oh what fun.
-
More and more bullets sounded off, entering the rotten flesh and bones of those that threatened the trio so severely. It took a couple of rounds just to down one of them. This infected specimen was swollen with pus and blood that their entire body was deformed yet so balloon like that when they finally died, their carcass exploded. Thankfully, the drifter made it far enough away so that it came out clean. But it was getting more difficult as the time went on. Sometimes the vehicle swerved just to evade infected that were in the way, other times the driver got grabbed and Jay had to rip the infected son of a bitch off the guy, and other times Jay had to cover Jackie. So, one could not let themselves slack off in this moment. It would be too risky.
Jay spotted an incoming mob running their way, so she decided to test out her power. She shot her hand out towards them and out came a blueish force field that pushed its way through the horde of zombies, making them either fly off a couple of feet or tumble down and stumble back up. It was effective in a way that would be able to buy them some time if times came too drastic, but it was always a good way to disrupt enemy progression. In the moment of silence, Jay looked over to Jackie and lightly placed her hand on the girl's shoulder. "Hey.." She softly breathed. "You doing good? You didn't get bitten, did you?" She asked, concern washing over her once calm expression. -
Jackie made sure to earn her keep, shooting at packs rather then individuals knowing that she have more chance to hit more then one. The times she was saved she counted up in her head, then the times she helped the other she counted. Down by three, damn was that embarsing. She slammed the butt down right on the face of an infected, feeling rather satisfied at hearing it crunch under the wheels. When a small break appeared for them to take a breather, and Jay asked her question, she smiled happily at the other, "I'm doing fine, no bites. And you?" She asked as she allowed herself to take the other girl's hands in her and rub it gently with her thumb.
-
Well, since Dinoswords isn't really posting, Maleth's character will replace their character in the squad, and we'll continue from there.
))She softly sighed in relief, feeling herself smile as she felt Jackie's thumb rubbing her hand so delicately. It calmed the shake of adrenaline Jay's hands possessed, and her body soon stilled as another breath ghosted out from between her lips. "No.. No bites.." She chuckled and soon slid her arm around Jackie's shoulders, holding the girl close as she settled back in her seat. "No bites... Only.. Ripped clothes and half empty guns.." Jay began to rub Jackie's upper arm, her body feeling tired and somewhat sore. The white haired convict was now drained from almost all of her energy, her pistols hot from recent use and her arms so sore from hacking and pushing those infected fiends away from the moving vehicle. She then let out a tired laugh, because the quiet moment lasted for awhile. Maybe the threat, for the moment, was gone. ".. I think we did it."
With the moon high in the sky and the temperature of the world decreasing subtly, the drifter finally reached civilization. It was a small settlement surrounded by a tall wall made of scraps. The driver slowed the vehicle right after passing the security checkpoint and made his way over to a vacant space once the giant gate was opened for them. Finally, after hours of driving and fighting, the drifter finally silenced its loud engine and sat there in a restful state. "Hey, hey.. Wake up you, we're in a safety zone. You two go to the inn and get yourself some rooms. Imma hit the bar." The driver said, smirking as he hoisted himself out of the vehicle and started walking towards the local bar with a lit cigar in his mouth. Jay softly groaned when she woke up from her light nap, rubbing her eyes groggily as she sat up and grabbed her equipment, sliding it all back into place. She looked over to Jackie and showed a sleepy little smile. "When we get there, you wanna.. Bunk with me?" She lightly teased, her voice slightly raspy from her recent slumber.
She jumped down from the drifter and slightly stumbled when her feet hit the ground, but she regained her balance quickly and began stretching her legs and arms with a soft yawn and sigh of satisfaction. Her gold eyes looked back to Jackie still in the vehicle and she held out her hand. "You coming, love?" The taller girl cooed with a soft, flirtatious and somewhat sensual little purr.
-
She was glad when everything calmed down, it was nice, and she could tell the other was tired. When the arm slid around her, she took the invite, and cuddled close, enjoying the warmth of the other. Sh laughed softly, her finger fiddling slightly with the ripped clothing, she could probably mend it.
She had been awake for the most part for the duration of the ride, enjoying the noises of the night monsters. It was more of a welcoming sign then terror. She has awoken to the sound of the gates, and waited until the driver spoke. She allowed the other to get up, stretching herself. At the offer of bunking with the other, she smirked, but was unsure if the other was being serious, or flirty, or both. When the other got off, she readied herself to follow only to watch Jay stumble slightly, causing a soft giggle to escape her. She jumped off, landing without much grace, but quickly pinked her arm with the other, and rubbed her head against Jay's arm, "All ready sweets." -
Jay gazed down at Jackie and sent her a little smirk, soon leading them off into the small village of a settlement with slight giddiness to her step. Even though the events that led up to this moment were a bit grim, the night was actually.. Nice. Stars were twinkling, the moonlight shined, highlighting the land with its gentle glow, and a soft cool breeze brushed by every so often. It was a good night, perfect for cuddling up in a cozy and warm room in bed.. With someone. "So.." Jay broke the peaceful silence, her hair delicately ruffling whenever a breeze goes by. "I wasn't kidding when I asked you if you wanted to bunk with me.." She smiled and walked along towards the building that was the inn. "If you do want to.. I promise that I don't bite.. Unless.." Her eyes trailed down to Jackie with a flirtatious glint. ".. You were to ask nicely, that is.."
-
When the other spoke, she looked up with bright, warm eyes. Although, she also watch how the other's hair glow d, it was rather pleasing. A bright red covered her face at the flirty offer, but she smirked. "Oh really?" She asked in her own challenging, flirty manner, her hand squeezing the other's. "As long as you keep me warm through the night," she purred.
-
A surprised breath hitched in her throat at that, her eyes lighting up at the flirtatious comments. Her infamous smirk curved its way along her soft lips and her eyebrow arched in the slightest. "Oh darling.. Don't worry. I'll keep you warm.." Her husky voice breathed. They soon arrived at the inn, and boy, was it a bit shabby looking. Of course, all the buildings looked like that. Anyway, Jay led Jackie inside, the place gently lit up by tastefully placed candles. "Oooh, can I help ya ladies?" Asked the woman behind the rusted metallic counter, her voice lightly accented with a sort of Western touch. Jay nodded and approached the woman with Jackie's hand in hers. "Yeah. We'd like a room, please." The white haired convict politely said and the woman smiled and nodded. "Well of course! For only a small fare of $5, that is." Thankfully the driver sneaked the two a bit of money when the two fell asleep in the drifter, so when Jay dug into her pockets with a bit of worry, relief quickly washed over her face as she felt the old familiar feeling of the dollar bill. Jay pulled out the needed amount and handed it to the woman, who then gave her a key in return. "Enjoy your stay! But make sure to lock up the room and return the key when you check out! Your room is number 6, the third door on the left down the hall." The woman informed, leaving Jay to smile and soon walk off with Jackie. She led them down the hall and to their room, unlocking it and opening the door.
Inside the room was a single bed that was only big enough for one person, a shabby table that was pushed against a wall, and a small round carpet on the floor that had a floral design. "Well.." Jay said as she led them inside and closed the door. "Such a small bed.. Looks like we're gonna have to.. Be pretty close to each other.." She softly chuckled, now staring to remove her armor and equipment, setting them on the table delicately.
-
It was easily to tell Jackie was strongly mesmerized by the candles, she found they extremely beautiful. It'd been so long since she's seen them that it was a nice reminder the world still had it's perks. When the lady asked for cash, she watched the other, eyeing the lady, and the building. If the other didn't have cash, they could've found some way in. But almost a miracle, she watched the other pull out some dollars, and give it to her. She gave a polite smile and soft "thank you" to the lady, following Jay. She smirked as she looked around, it was homey. She watched the other start taking off her armor, before taking off her own. Chuckling, she walked to the other, "Guess that seems true." She got close to the other, leaving only a bit of space between them smirking, "Don't take too long, don't want to catch a cold or something." Jackie teased before laying on the bed.
-
Jay gazed at Jackie, mentally comparing the girl to the beauty of an angel as she watched her lay in bed. Every bone in her body told her to climb into bed with her and just embrace her and tell her just how gorgeous she was. But, she had to hold herself back. Even though Jackie was flirting with her, the mission still brought itself up in her mind. It was important to follow procedures and to not get distracted in any way.. But.. Then again, this distraction was something Jay wanted to give in to so badly that it almost hurt how much she wanted it. Ugh. Self control was the key.
As soon as Jay placed her last piece of equipment on the table, she turned to Jackie and made her way over, first sitting on the side of the bed to take her shoes off, then paced her way into laying down besides Jackie. She turned to lay on her side, soon slowly sliding her arm around Jackie's waist delicately and used this same arm to pull the girl closer to herself. The front of Jay's body softly pressed against Jackie, her body warmth spreading quickly to the other. It was crazy how quickly her heart was beating. "Hey.. Am I warm enough for you, love..?" She purred, lightly laying her head on the long pillow the two had to share as well as gently pulled the shared blanket over her own body a bit, but not fully. -
She closed her eyes, waiting for the other, she was actually rather cold. The circulation in her body was rather poor, so she tended to keep warm by sleeping close to a heat source, or, against her brother's wishes since he was built like an oven, keep close with Wilson. When the bed creaked, a small smile crossed her face, and it spread as she felt the other pull her towards her. She turned around, wrapping her arms around the other, snuggling close, "Absolutely perfect." Jackie said with a small, happy sigh. "Thanks for being their gracious partner you are." She said with all sincerity as she played with the other's white hair softly.
-
When Jackie turned around to face her, Jay blushed lightly as she felt her arms wrap around her and she felt herself smile. "No need to thank me, Jackie.. You know.. I'm always here for you.." Jay very lightly began to rub Jackie's back, soon delicately trailing her fingertips slowly up and down. "Whenever you need me." She finished, her smile gently widening as she felt Jackie play with her hair. Usually Jay hated whenever someone else touched her in any way, but when Jackie touched her, it felt like absolute heaven. Just her touch alone could silence Jay's inner demons.. And the white haired convict was forever grateful for that. "Hey.. I just wanted to say.. Despite everything that happened today, I had fun because.. Well, because of you.." Jay gazed down deeply into Jackie's eyes, leaning her head down a tiny bit so that she was close enough to playfully touch the tip of her nose to Jackie's. "And.. Just.. Thank you. I like being around you.. And I find you.. Really beautiful." She blushed deeply and looked away, nervously chuckling. "But uh, yeah.. Thanks for existing, Jackie.."
-
A small shiver overtook her when the other touched her back, it was a rather nice feeling, and she enjoyed it. She smiled warmly at the statements, feeling rather relieved at the comment. To know someone else was there for her, it was her own little piece of paradise, and she didn't have to share it with anyone other then Jay. Speaking of Jay, she watched with big eyes as the other touched their noses and gazed back into her bright yellow ones, a heavy blush covering her face and neck. She smiled, and placed a soft kiss on the other's cheek. "Oh Jay, you surely know how to get a girl to fall for you. And fall hard. With both your sparkling personality, and wonderful eyes, and well... Everything." She purred softly, nuzzling into her neck affectionately, also trying to hide her deep, deep red face.
-
Her eyes widened slightly as she listened to Jackie's words, her heart feeling as though it skipped a beat. Was this really happening? Did she hear those words exactly? And did she actually receive a kiss on the cheek from the girl she really desired? Yes.. Hell yes she did. It was hard to believe that all of this was really happening, since to the girl a lot of things were too good to be true. In her life, it always seemed that everything was getting worse and worse the more older she got. But now.. Now she didn't know. "Fall..? You fell for me, Jackie..?" She asked delicately, her cheeks tinting into a bright red. Her grip around Jackie tightened when the girl nuzzled into her neck, her hand lightly traveling up to softly stroke Jackie's soft and beautiful dark hair. "Oh you.. You...." She chuckled softly. "You breathtakingly beautiful goddess.." She purred and hugged the girl tighter. Jay just couldn't believe how happy she was in this moment. Out of all the people of this wretched world, she was the one who became happy in the end. "Well.. Hey.." Jay spoke, looking down at Jackie slightly, her lips curling to a small yet flirtatious smile. "Jackie.. Don't hide your face from me... C'mon... Show me your amazing face.." She gently pleaded, her eyes shining brighter as she had a little trick up her sleeve.
-
She smiled, feeling rather relieved as the other started to speak. She nodded, oh yea. She was bad when it came to people, but she did get along rather well with Jay, but then again, Jay was also a list of other positive things that made Jackie rather attracted to her. When she felt her star to stroke her hair, a small shiver escaped her, and a rather dorky grin of satisfaction. Jackie did feel rather flustered by the remark, but that didn't stop her from holding the other tighter. She looked up, her face a deep scarlet, "You flatter me too much love." She mumbled looking up at Jay, with warm eyes and a smile.
-
When Jackie finally looked up at her, she moved her hands to gently position one on Jackie's cheek and the other wrapped around Jackie's waist, pulling her ever so closely to herself that their bodies pressed together so intimately. "Oh Jackie.." She sighed, smiling softly as she brought her face closer to the other's, her forehead gently resting against Jackie's as she stared deeply into the dark brown eyes she grew to love. "If anything.. I don't flatter you enough.." She purred, soon coming even closer. "So.. If you'd let me.." She began, moving closer once more, their lips just centimeters away from touching. "Let me start flattering you even more.. So you can know just how wonderful you are, and how wonderful you make me feel.." She finished with a whisper. The white haired convict grew bolder the more time went on. So much so that she just couldn't resist the urges she felt anymore! So Jay leaned forward a little bit more to finally close the space between them, her warm and soft lips brushing against Jackie's irresistible and ridiculously tasty looking lips, and oh, how good it felt. Jay just couldn't believe how addicting this was starting to be, how she was feeling herself becoming so addicted to feeling Jackie's lips against hers. Ugh. She felt herself get so sucked in at this point that she kissed Jackie even deeper, her eyes closing slowly as she mentally fell even deeper into this feeling.
