    It was one of those days. It was too hot for the quilt to comfortably mingle with the clan, and there was absolutely nothing left to do inside. He had decorated at least 20 times within the past week, and he quite like this new reincarnation of his house. So the young tom set for a near unbearable task. Thinking. He would study his pelt, which he rarely did, and try to remember why the seemed so familiar. And kept changing. Well there was at least one that never changed, it was a small heart in the center of his chest... He liked it for aesthetic reasons, clearly oblivious to the fact that that had been the patch to grant him life. He couldnt bear this any longer! He dashed out the front door and stood in the middle of his area and let out a loud wail. "Help! I cant take this anymore!" Poor patch had alerted half the camp to the simple danger of his boring thoughts.

  • Armin was a bit alarmed by the feline running out and shouting. Can't take it anymore? Armin didn't quite understand what Quilt couldn't take anymore. He figured he should probably say something, considering that the other feline was clearly having an issue, Armin just wasn't sure what Quilt needed to hear. So, the golden tabby would start with a safe approach, "What's wrong, Quilt?"

    Patchy looked over at the tabby, and was surprised someone had even heard him, though he had alerted the entire camp. "What? Oh you mean the thing I was saying a bit ago! How'd you even hear that? Im just SOOOO Bored from doing nothing but thinking!" The quilt ,honestly, was probably having a better day than most others at the moment.

  • "Oh, okay." Armin mewed, not sure that he wholeheartedly believed that Patch was only bored. The tabby wouldn't press too hard if the quilt-pelted cat didn't want to talk. However, he would ask the natural question, "What are you thinking about?"

  • [center][fancypost=background-color:; border:0;width:450px;text-align:justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height:1.5]
    "I dunno really. Just how hot it is, and just my pelt and such. What about you? Do you have anything fun or exciting to do! That'd be awesome!" The cat did his little circle dance in anticipation.

  • "Fun or exciting?" Armin mewed thoughtfully. Oh geez, he didn't know. "Well, what do you like to do?" He figured that that was the best question to ask. After all, many of the things Armin used to do for fun didn't really apply to the cat world.

    "Almost EVERYTHING Is fun! Like watching birds, or counting sand, or saying hi to my friends, like phantom!" The quilts definition of fun, was broad in the least, but he enjoyed many things and it was hard to get him down.

  • Wow, that was a broad definition. Armin had been hoping he might be able to draw on that to find something Quilt wanted to do. Then again, maybe that was perfect because it meant that the feline thought just about everything was fun and exciting. "How about a game, then?" Armin didn't know too many games, and he wasn't sure which ones were played here in the clans, but he thought it would be fun for the patchwork cat.

    PHANTOM H.M.N.

    [font='Times New Roman, Times, serif']My grave will never be filled, it's either kill or be killed

    There were times when Phantom couldn't be alone with his thoughts, silently recounting his history and failures to himself, remembering the people he'd lost and disappointed. During those times, he needed action, even just a hunt or patrol or walk. Anything, though usually he didn't suffer from intense boredom like Patchy or slip into one of the dark "moods". He was usually fine, being alone with his thoughts, and even when he wasn't, he didn't look for fun.

    He had a far narrower definition of fun than Patchy, and usually needed someone else to really have it. Immy, Cain, Papertorch, Sea - those were folks he'd had fun with, but not frequently and not anymore (with the exception of Immy). "If almost everything is fun, how did you come to be so bored?" Phantom asked as he walked over, eyes narrowing when Patchy referred to him as a friend. Like hell we are.

    //ic opinions!

  • //It makes it so much more fun at how much phantom currently hates patchy(new fancy anyone?) EDIT: wo it got shaved off

    PATCHWORK QUILT

    Patchys tail popped straigh up at the idea of a game, those were always fun! Except well... The bad kinds. "Games are amazing! I would love to play one! What one do you have in mind?" The tom was already more excited and less bored, then Phantom came! "PHANTOM! Hey look another friend! I cant believe you all came to help me! How'd I get so bored? Because there was nobody else here! DUH!" he acted like it seemed so obvious, although he might have contradicted himself several times.
