  • Jade feather gave Night a thank you glance. Cicatrix was a fierce figure, with his huge scar, and Jadefeather was grateful the she cat had stood up for her, but she hoped her sharp words hadn't upset Cica. She very much wanted to get to know Night better, and at the moment Cica was her best chance at the she cat being excepted. Though, knowing Cica, he wouldn't care too much that Night had spoken up. At least she hoped.

  • Night flattened her ears as she tried to figure out what she would say. How did one tell another what she had been forced to do as a rouge? That what she had done is why she was trying to start a new life here? What would they think when they discovered that she had been forced to torture and kill the hostages and prisoners of her old group? Every night she relived the nightmares of what would happen if she disobeyed orders, and was kind to them.

Someone would get the wrong idea, and she would be outcast. Outcast when all she wanted to do was fix everything, prove to herself that it would be okay. Prove to herself that things would work out. That her past wouldn't be repeated. That she wouldn't have to run away again. That she wouldn't be found. "I'm so sorry..." she whispered, as she became wrapped up in her thoughts of her past.

  • Seeing the she cat's distress, Jadefeather bounded over the border and sat next to her, tail draped over her shoulders. "It's ok, whatever you did will be forgotten here." She glared at Cica, daring him to argue. "You asked no questions of me, except whether I was a rogue or loner. We don't need to know of her past if she doesn't want to bring it up."

  • Night still was unsure of the situation, and why they were concerned about her going to the camp, when she hadn't even crossed the border. "Shouldn't one of you be finding your leader and escorting him here? Or perhaps you aren't a very good warrior after all. You can clearly see that Jadefeather has me under control." Night wasn't sure what to make out of Cica, but instantly took a disliking to Lizardbreath. She had directed her curt comment towards the other female, as she had decided to tell Jadefeather her past, but not with so many others around. Especially if they didn't like her.

Cica was taken back, his fur began bristling. "Hold your tongue outsider, you are speaking to the deputy of Shadowclan. Jadefeather, you should know better than to undermine my words" he snapped. Glaring back at the she-cat. "If you wish to join, you only need to ask. Not cause a scene, and not have me question my warriors loyalty" he looked sternly at jadefeather. "Do not make me regret taking you in, jadefeather" he fumed, what had gotten in to her?

  • Jade feather bristled, but held her tongue. This was not how she liked Cica, who seemed to have changed since being made deputy. He was always pointing out how he was now of a higher rank then she was, and demanded more respect. Her eyes widened at his words about her loyalty. It made her angry, and she wished to speak her mind. I owe you nothing! Snakestar took me in, not you! But she couldn't say that, not now that Cicatrix was deputy, and more important then her, as he kept pointing out. "I'm as loyal as any cat, Cicatrixface." She did her best to keep anger out of her voice. "Can she join or not?" Jade feather forced her hackles to lie flat. That was all she wanted to know at this point.

Things changed in cica, yes. The work was tiring, keeping up with everyone was also tiring. The tom silently thanked her for ending the ridiculous scene, embarrassing Shadowclan. This wasn't ego, it was showing that Shadowclan hasn't collapsed and that order was still in store regardless of the loss of Snakestar and Softlight. "Jadefeather, I asked her a question .... whos to say she wants to join." Cica's ears were flat, he began to lose trust in Jadefeather. Remembering her threat. Cica was exhausted, in between meeting his secret affair Flicker and Leading a clan with Two.

    — CICATRIXFACE —

  • Because that was the whole point of this meeting! Jade feather took a deep breath, and let it out. She looked at Night, waiting.

//occ Yes, welcome if you join! Also, been reading the Flicker thing, love it!

  • (I'd like to continue this, it could be interesting. If y'all are interested I could make an intro thread with them bring her to camp and meeting people/getting her name and the like?)

"I did come here to join, if y'all will have me. I'm sorry for being rude, just I'm wary and a bit unsure of things at the moment. I've been through a lot, and I've let it get the best of me." Night responded apologeticaly. She hoped these cats would forgive her, and help her get settled into her new life within Shadowclan.

Jade feather looked at Cica, her anger somewhat difusing. "So we can take her to camp now, right?" She was delighted that Night had said she would join, but now she had to work with Cica. She would talk to him alone, later.

  • "I'll be staying here," she warned Night, unsheathing her claws. The both of them were getting on her last nerve. "I frankly don't give a rat's tail what you think is a good idea or not."

Lizardbreath turned as Cicatrixface approached and gave him a curt nod of her own. StarClan knew she couldn't stand the tom ever since their argument, but they seemed to be on the same page in this regard, and she couldn't complain. Seeing his reaction to the rogue made her actually glad he'd showed up.

"Because we have a right to know what we're bringing into our Clan, do you have no sense? You will tell Cicatrixface everything, you will speak to him with respect, and you will kindly shut up about how we should or should not deal with our own mousebrained warriors!" The leggy femme stood ridged, glaring daggers, her teeth partially bared, and when the deputy scolded Jadefeather she raised her chin triumphantly. She was sure that now Night would be forced to speak, or else driven away from the border, and Lizardbreath was eager to hook her claws into her.

The feeling didn't last long, and she turned to stare incredulously at Cicatrixface. "Don't tell me you're actually considering letting her into the Clan just like that! After the way she's behaved, and she's clearly hiding something! I have extreme reservations about letting her anywhere near the camp, she's dangerous. We should run her off right now."

  • Jade feather seethed at everyone of Lizardbreaths words. But she was sure that Cica would let Night in. Until the she cat actually did something wrong, in Jadefeathers mind she was ok. She looked up at Cica.

  • Night simply lashed her tail in response to Lizardbreath. "And you have the right to tell me what to do because? I haven't tresspassed across your border. I waited here for someone to find me, and Jadefeather came. You may ask her, I never crossed the border, or did anything wrong. What did a rouge ever do to you that gives you the right to hate very last one you meet? We aren't all the same you know." Night meowed simply. She didn't want to ruin her chances of being in Shadowclan, but god help her for her being so argumentive, always having to have the last word.

Cica was perplexed to see Lizardbreath's approval of his words. He nodded to show he approved, he needed the support... even from an enemy. "Lizardbreath is right, if you wish to join Shadowclan... you will tell me everything....if you didn't want this to be brought up, you shouldn't have implied that you have done something wrong.... that being said. Bloodclan, is why we are cautious . This isn't a kittypet nest, this is a warrior clan." he added firmly. He sensed prejudice in his sentence but didn't care much, Lizardbreath would approve certainly. "You may have not crossed our border, but you intend to. so, what are your crimes.... for the last time." he lashed his tail, how many times am I to repeat myself.

    — CICATRIXFACE —

  • Jade feather stiffened at Cica's words. This isn't a kitty pet nest. She felt those words were aimed directly at her, and they stung. Trying not to let her voice wobble, she said "Cicatrix, she didn't..." She broke off. Why was he acting this way? Why did he care what Night might have done? Didn't he understand it would be mortifying, forced to share a past you didn't want? Maybe he doesn't... She tried again "Cica, I suppose you have the right to hear of her past, if you are going to insist. But shouldn't it be private? Between you, Twoface, and her?"

  • "Why should it be private? You don't think the rest of the Clan has a right to know the kind of cat they're sheltering?" Lizardbreath argued, emboldened by Cicatrixface's apparent support.

  • "She doesn't need her personal business spread out for everyone to see and pick through like fresh kill, Lizardbreath."
Jade feather said, a growl edging her voice

  • Night glanced at the pair. She really didn't mind sharing her past, but would rather it be in a more relaxed, private setting. "I would much rather keep this a private conversation if you don't mind. I assure you that I will confess to you and this Twoface, however all I ask is that you allow the conversation to occur privately, and allow Jadefeather to be there." She responded, hoping that he would allow this.
