  • Darkness.

Just the steady rumble of the monster as they continued down the Thunderpath. Suddenly, the monster slowed to a stop. Next thing she could remember, a sharp object, much like a pine needle, had been inserted into her skin. Then she had felt drowsy before falling asleep.

She woke to find herself in a strange den, with metal stick-like objects containing her. It was terrifying, to say the least.

But, she managed to escape and live to tell the tale.

The trek home had been a dangerous one. She had come across many life-threatening situations. She returned home with a tear in her ear and dull fur that clung to her bones. Barely alive, honestly.

SkyClan. SHe could see her beloved home. Her pace quickened, and with all the energy she had left, she pushed on.

She emerged into camp, slightly afraid nobody would recognise her in this state.

  • It would take a little more than Twoleg abduction for Nightcrow to not recognize his own niece. The thick-furred Deputy had been settling down to feast on a vole when the ragged apprentice entered camp, looking battered and frightened. He sprang to his feet and rushed over, a flood of anxiety sweeping him at the state she was in and the foreign scents rolling from her striped coat. "StarClan's kits! Briarpaw, you're back! Oh, what happened? It's great to see you, but - but - where've you been? Are you okay? I can get Audenine, or Tatteredstar, or - " he realized he was probably overwhelming her and shut up, moving forward and attempting to lick her ear in as comforting a manner as he could. "Um. Welcome home. You're safe now. Whatever happened won't happen again."

  • [center][fancypost=bgcolor= transparent; bordercolor= transparent; height:; width: 420px; font=; text-align: justify;][font=plantin][size=12]It felt like it had been moons since his apprentice and granddaughter had been snatched by twolegs. It hadn't been, but with everything that had happened in between, it felt like it had been forever. Upon spotting Briarpaw, Tatteredstar's first thought was that she smelled different - less like SkyClan and more like twolegs. His second thought was that she looked awful. His third thought, and the one that spurred him into action, was the realization that his was his Briarpaw and she was back.

Pushing past Nightcrow, yellow eyes wide, he ordered his son, "Find Audenine." Briarpaw was too thin, too unhealthy looking. "Briarpaw...I'm sorry." His throat felt raw with emotion, and he couldn't tell if it affected his voice. "I didn't come for you." Just like he hadn't found Thrushstar. Just like he hadn't saved Snowbloom. Just like he hadn't been there for his kits as they were raised by strangers. He'd failed her, just like he'd failed everyone else. "I'm so, so sorry," the tom repeated. Drawing back, eyes bright with concern, he wanted to know, "How are you? It - was it bad?"
