  • [center][fancypost=background-color: transparent; width: 400px; border: 1px; border color: transparent][align=justify][font=georgia]Blue was not fond at all of being poked and prodded, but was able to muster up the self-control to keep from causing an "accident". He wasn't exactly happy at the idea of getting replacements, either. Why would he need any? The thought whirred in his mind while he reluctantly stood at Dr. Wu's request. His metal feet carried him to the table, ignoring his true wishes. Metal clinked against metal as he sat on the table, spun, and laid down. He winced and averted his gaze as the light shined into his eyes.

  • Stella nodded, "I suppose that's true." She glanced at the spider but its bead eyes made her weary. "So after she lays her eggs, what are you going to do? Are you going to need more experiments to do the same thing with?" She glanced at him before turning back to the host body. She walked over to the boy and lifted his arm, checking his strength, before letting them fall listlessly back. She tapped his chest lightly but stayed away from where the spider had been. The boy's body structure had adapted to the spider's existence in his body. It interested her and she studied him with a thoughtful gaze.

The twins followed after Gerald as he continued to talk about the past experiments. Neither one really had an interest in the past. Lucinda's only interest was in poking at the scientist every once and a while. She couldn't sit there and be complacent all the time, now could she? Isabella, on the other hand, just wanted things to be over with. Bringing up the past didn't seem like a great way to get things over with.

    Lucas

Lucas watched Nathaniel seem to sink lower into the table and instinctively did so himself, but he found himself realizing he wasn't sure why. He didn't have have incredible sensors after all, and he didn't particularly know Noah or Jamie, so them entering the cafeteria meant nothing to him him, that being said he figured if someone seemingly as strong as Nathaniel sunk down, then it probably wasn't a bad thing that he did too. The faint sound of music began to play in their little soundproof bubble, it being somewhat of a defensive habit for Lucas.

  • ISAAC
“I’m only testing one hatchling; the rest will be disposed of until I get a handle of what her children are capable of.” Isaac stated bluntly, clearly showing no interest or concern on hiding the fact to Lilith he would kill the rest of her brood except for one. His cold eyes watched the woman as she wandered about the room, eyes and body; she mostly wandered in the space between Lilith and Elliot. He could tell, like most others, that she was disturbed by Lilith. A lot of his employees or even a few of the experiments had an unreasonable fear of spiders. He watched as the woman prodded at Elliot. “He would be stronger if he took care of himself, yet he refuses to eat in a small form of rebellion.” He stated as his eyes scorned Elliot.

    GERALD
“You two should be well accustomed to needles, I presume. After all, we’ve poked you with other more fearful things! But human’s fear knows no bounds, which is why they become phobias! If there’s a phobia that’s developed there will be nothing to rid you of your nonsensical fear!” Gerald rambled on as he walked with a bounce in his step. It was clear he didn’t care if the girls were listening or not, or if they had something to add on to his one sided conversation. “Getting a DNA sample should be easy enough, there are not many orifices I have to prod to get a test but there are quite a few! But as I said before, nothing to painful, at most he only thing that should really hurt is when I have to scrape off a tiny bit of your skin. I have to make sure I check everything so I have enough resources to see what exactly went wrong. If things work out, you two should be able to separate! If it doesn’t, who knows what will happen!” He said with a laugh as he opened the door to a vacant lab for them.

    PESTILENCE
Elliot’s eyes immediately looked towards the hand that had picked up his arm. The action of it was sudden coming from him as he hadn’t been moving before; nevertheless, his head remained propped in the same fashion as before. Only Elliot’s scarlet eyes surrounded by the black sclera watched the figure that prodded at him. He couldn’t recognize her, had he met her before. He focused his vision to take the form of the woman in; he wondered why she held any interest in him. Being looked at with such interest made him feel both embarrassed and uncomfortable, he only felt embarrassment in the gaping hole in his chest. But if she was looking pass that she was no doubt one of the deranged scientist who wanted to do who knows what to him. Does it matter anymore? He shifted his head a bit as he thought. Lilith continued at her pace, making a mass of web forming a cocoon for the egg sack. She wouldn’t make many as she knew Isaac's intentions, but she would make just enough in case one failed.

  • [Hey Faded. I think I'm ready to come back. I've dealt with some health issues and just been mentally fighting for stability which I have finally gotten to some degree. It would be wonderful if you could give me a detailed run through of what I missed? And thank you for not harassing me about coming back and being so very patient because I really really love this thread and I appreciate the care you showed to me :) :) ]

  • "Ah", Stella said with a disappointed sigh as Isaac told her the boy refused to eat. "He will give in eventually. If not then forcing it down his throat is always an option." She shook her head at the waste this boy was turning out to be. If only he would eat then maybe he might be closer to the ideal? No, that spider would still make that impossible. The use of a human as a host was an interesting concept, in her opinion, but she wouldn't want a spider anywhere inside her. "Do you need me to gather someone for her offspring?" Luring people in was one of her specialties and something she enjoyed almost as much as being a scientist.

"No, needles have never been a fear of mine", Lucinda said as she walked into the room. She eyed the familiar setting before taking a seat in one of the chairs. Being separated from her sister wasn't such a bad idea. If the scientist could actually manage it then she might not have to end his life when she claimed the throne to this place. She flashed him a polite smile before shifting around in her seat and settling down.

Isabella walked timidly into the room and at the devices that filled her nightmares. She let out a shaky breathe before going and taking her seat on the other side of the room. "I would just like it to be quick, please", she asked as she glanced at the scientist. If she could be separated from her sister then maybe she could get out of this place and make a life for herself. Still, she highly doubted that she would be allowed out of here after seeing the workings of this place. At least the owner of this place wasn't in here. He always put her on edge and gave her the urge to flee.

  • Milo hummed to himself, he had taken care of a good number of experiments today, but there were still more for him to check on. One of those being Damari. The scientist made his way back to the basement, for what seemed the millionth time before breezing past a couple of cells. He stopped in front of the one in which they kept the experiment and leaned against the bars. "Damariiii, how are you today?" he asked happily, a bright smile flashed toward the experiment.

  • Damari felt his brown eyes open as someone walked in, his skinny body sitting up with the aids from his hands before he pushed his legs off the bed, turning himself into a sitting position. His brown hair stuck randomly in different directions, and the clothes he wore was the same colour as every other subjects, however his seemed almost shiny, as if made from another material. He also had bandage which could be seen all around his body if you took his clothes off. He had to make sure he didn't touch anything after all. He was long over the fear that had once struck him when he first arrived here, and was tired of being sat in this cell. He knew the voice that called out to him all too well. "Milo" be responded quickly.

He had long ago stopped calling most doctors by doctor, after all, they had spent the last year trying to help figure out the ability. After all, they couldn't cut him open to remove what was wrong with him. They tried before, but everything just fell to prices when it touched him. The familiar silver blur appeared before him as he reached for his glasses, putting them on and turning the blur into the form of a man.

  • Riley shook her head, which caused several loose hair strands to fall over her face and obscure her vision. "Nope. I was on sleep meds for a while, but not anymore." She indeed felt as bored as she looked; she found herself painfully uninteresting, so these questions carried little intrigue. Riley was the type of person who took pleasure in helping, collaborating with, and learning about others, rather than advertising personal history, flaws, or even successes.
    -----
Nathaniel sighed, and it registered audibly as static sputtering from his helmet's voice translator. The experiment may dislike Noah for being temperamental and violent, but loathed Noah's father even more. Before his death, Dr. Tone had helped develop Nathaniel's powers almost 7 years ago. As you can imagine, Nathan still harbors some (understandable) resentment and skepticism there. Additionally, Noah is quick to shock experiments who misbehave; while Nathan may possess surprisingly substantial pain tolerance, getting electrocuted unconscious doesn't exactly feel pleasant.
It was for these reasons the gravikinetic distrusted Jamie as well, who apparently liked Noah despite often being shocked, kicked, and trampled by him. Nathaniel wasn't worried about Lucas though, Lucas seemed rather intelligent, and powerful in his own right with those sound bubbles.
Speaking of sound, Nathaniel appeared surprised by the music. He hadn't heard any in a long time, and visibly relaxed upon hearing it.
    -----
Noah scanned his surroundings with a scrutinizing scowl as he led Jamie forward. The calm, blue-skinned experiment shadowed him, looking out of place beside someone so angry.
Once they'd taken their seats two tables away from Lucas', Noah leafed through several clipboard papers as Jamie ate ravenously. Berry juice dripped down Jay's chin, his manners poor and much resembling that of a careless child or animal. He wasn't quite sitting down either, and was instead crouching on his chair, clawed paws gripping the plastic surface for balance. "Are you with Human Modification today?" Jamie questioned, almost hopeful.

"Mutant Abilities, thankfully. In fact, I'll drop you off with Isaac, Raiden, or Charles, depending on who's busy," Noah quipped, not even looking up from his project. He had been assigned to assist Milo, as the man obviously couldn't handle four or more experiments by himself. "Just shut up and eat so I'm not any later than I already am."

“Do whatever you like.” Isaac responded as his dark eyes moved from Elliot's weak form to the spider that was within the cage. He decided to test Elliot’s vitals before letting Lilith back onto her host. They had been forcing nourishment into him since the first week he had been refusing to eat. He methodically began to take samples and place them in small vials for testing. If necessary, he would have to place him on a water drop and other IV drops to help build up his strength. Of course, he would have to hook it up to him when he was in the confines of his cell.

    GERALD
“Why, since the young miss asked for it quickly, we shall do you first than!” Gerald said enthusiastically as he readied his supplies, on the metal cart lied various syringes, picks, needles, drills, and other metallic tools of horror. “First, for the both of you! Say aah~!” He instructed suddenly, and soon as they opened their mouths he stuck a cotton swab into it. “Hold on to that, blondie.” He told Lucinda as he went back over to Isabella and began to tie a strap around her arm for the blood sample. After a little while, he took the cotton swab from her mouth and placed it in a small vial as he placed it onto a nearby table. Once the syringe was ready, he went to work preparing her arm before inserting the needle into a vein and withdrawing blood. He hummed as he worked.

    LOKI
“Hm…alright.” Loki said distantly as he jotted down the notes, it sounded like the medication would be out of her system by now. “Oh, do you have any physical illnesses we should know about like heart problems, kidney problems, etc?” He asked as he tapped the pen on the clipboard repeatedly. It wasn’t tapping to a beat particularly, but instead just tapping it for no reason. His hands needed to do something as he went through this boring process. He was almost tempted to just hand her the board and tell her to fill it out herself. Thankfully, this was the last question he needed to know before administering the physical exam on her.

    PESTILENCE
It wasn’t long before Lilith finished her small nest of eggs that would develop some days from now. She turned to watch Isaac as he began to do tests on Elliot, who laid lifelessly on the table. She shifted a bit but stayed put as she was a bit eager to get out of this small cage. She remembered being stuck in one similar to it before when she first met Isaac. At the time, she was ignorant of the world and all the knowledge within it. But since she met him, she gained sentience and could think for herself and understand her desires and do more than just act on instinct. She lost her appetite for the usual food she would eat in the while that would mostly compromise of bugs and such, but that was the only thing she lost. Elliot let the scientists cold hands touch and prod him as he gathered things from him.

  • Lucas

Lucas jolted slightly when he realized he had made it so Nathaniel could hear his music too, but kept on composing it anyways, realizing it seemed to relax the strange man. He didn't get to share his love for music with many people anyways, more out of social awkwardness than anything, but all the same, sharing it now was something he could take comfort in. One could tell that Lucas' sense of timing was abysmal, but his sheer musical skill made up for it, relying more on his knowledge and instinct than on heavy thought on when to let things come in and fade out. This particular piece seemed cheerful, maybe even a little happy, perhaps it was because Lucas had, not so much talked, but communicated with someone else, usually his music was quite anguished, and frantic. Not like anyone would normally hear it though.

"It's probably been a long time since you've heard any music right? I want to convince someone to put a radio or some sort of music player where all the experiments can hear it but I'm usually to worried they'll punish me for asking. I guess that make me a bit of a coward huh? ...." Lucas managed a meek smile, it was painfully obvious that he hated confrontation, and would, for the most part, always back down in one, he had accepted the cruel reality of this place quickly, and he didn't care enough to change it, besides, trying to do so would get him, and possibly even others tortured, it just wasn't worth it in his mind, especially when it came to others, he was by no means social, but other people getting punished because of him left an awful taste in his mouth. "I guess that's okay though... If you ever want to hear some music feel free to ask I guess, not like I ever have anything better to do."

    Charles

Charles Was busy reading, and re-reading over the notes on Mikos, he had of course at this point read them several times over, but he was committing them to memory. By the time he was done he would be able to recite the information word for word with little to no pause, not like he would need to, but not having to carry around the folder would be a nice benefit. "Supposedly quite smart, preforms quite well physically, can communicate with spiders, though he has a long record of anxiety issues, poor eyesight, and is often lacking on sleep. His limbs are also still beign tested for overall functionality. Hmmm" Charles scratched his chin "I think I'll take things slow with him for a little while, get him to trust, and maybe even like me a bit, things are always so much easier that way."

Funnily enough Charles was probably one of the better scientists to have supervising you in a case like this, sure he was often quite quick and blunt about things, as well as not having the greatest filter on what he thought to what he said, all habits he picked up in the military. And all habits that probably wouldn't be the best to deal with someone such as Mikos. But he was a nice person, even if he was more than a little crazy about his work, and he did used to have quite a few anxiety issues himself when he was younger, those were all but quelled over his long years of training and work though, but he at least had some idea on how to go about Mikos that, for the most part, wouldn't make the boy go off panicking. All that being said though if he reached his limit on the BS he was willing to take things were bound to get ugly fast, so did truly hope he'd be able to get Mikos on, if not friendly and trusting, then at least working terms with him before that time came. Though that would ultimately be determined by how well he handled it and Mikos reacted.

  • "That's riiight!" Milo practically sang, one of his hands wrapping around the bar of the cell. The sleek metal felt cool and familiar to the touch, the sensation being one of the things that kept the man grounded. "It's about time we let you stretch your legs, don't you think?" he asked, his hands migrating to the lock as he quickly undid it and pulled the door open.

Raiden had been lost in his own thoughts which resulted in him standing around in the cafeteria a little too long. Feeling frustrated about his own incompetence, he quickly exited the cafeteria and headed off. There wasn't anything for him to do that he knew of, but he was determined to make himself useful somewhere. That somewhere was probably going to be in the room of his favorite, personal experiment. The creature had been having some trouble lately and it irked the man to no end. He had made sure everything on that creature was perfect and it was ludicrous to think something he created was having trouble. The man wanted to blame another scientist for tampering with his creation, but when he asked the creature it had insisted no one had harmed him. Raiden wasn't afraid of failure, it came with the job, but he had been certain he had done everything right. He had worked tireless hours for years on end to get the results he wanted and he had been extra careful with everything he had modified on the experiment. He wanted to tell himself it'd be an easy fix, but the wiring on the creature was so complex it may take longer than expected.

  • ooc: Timeskip time! Sorry to cut Indra's big entrance short but he can still share his time! XD

It wasn’t long before the hours of morning had passed it had reached afternoon. The dull blue that was once morning was now a dark blue filled with clouds that never seemed to disappear. Some experiments could be with their scientist but most were now in the lounge. Favorites, at time, were still with their creator. As the experiments lounged about in the only area that gave them small freedom, the other scientists were called to a meeting to discuss what to do with their new victim…

  • Raiden hadn't done anything to work on his experiment, just took his vitals and asked him some questions. The scientist wasn't in a hurry to put him under because he didn't have the time to put ungodly hours into fixing him at the moment. Once the meeting was called, Raiden got up. "You can come with me, Indra," he muttered to the creature as it got up, towering Raiden by at least two feet. Indra, being uncertain of his steps, held onto Raiden's shoulder. He was blind in the numerous eyes that spotted his body so walking had become a riskier task. The two entered the hall, slowly making their way to the meeting.

After Milo had led Damari to the cafeteria and checked up on him, he let the experiment socialize in the lounge among the others. He headed to the meeting as well, hopeful that Loki may be there too.

  • Charles
Charles had been studying many species of spiders in the early morning hours, he had left Mikos alone to do what he wished, feeling that preparation was key, especially since there was already a fair amount of information on Mikos. When the meeting was called it chuffed Charles a bit, but either way that didn't matter, because at the end of the day all the meetings were required anyways. He strode easily into the meeting room "Hello hello, I have arrived." he said cheerfully. The large man's mood, as always, was obviously a good one. "I'd ask what the meeting was about, but I know you don't like repeating yourself Dr. Issac, so I'll temper my enthusiasm."

    ----
    Lucas
Lucas, as per the norm, sat by himself in the lounge, mulling over the conversation, if it could even be called that since he had been the only one to speak, with Nathaniel. It had been a long time since he had talked to someone that wasn't a scientist, and honestly it felt a bit nice. Maybe given a little more time he could convince himself to come out of his shell to the other experiments to be fair that was why he was studying them in the first place.
