Lucinda turned to Charles and offered him a sweet smile, "Yes I suppose you're right!" Baldy, she muttered in her head as they continued walking. He was annoyingly cheerful but she just pushed through it. She preferred to keep the scientist on her good side and being friendly with them was better than bringing about their rage. Speaking of rage, Lucinda slowed down to sidle up to Hikari and wrapped her arm around one of his. "Hey", she said with a soft smile. She knew it was a long shot, especially since he had been here longer than either of them, but she thought she'd give it a try. "I've heard that scientist has name he likes to be called. Have you tried calling the scientist by their name? They are likelier to be nicer to you", she advised. "His name is Professor Xavier", she whispered just loud enough for her, Izzy, and Hikari to hear.
Izzy turned to look at her with an expression of shock and Lucinda gave her a pointed stare. Izzy narrowed her eyes and tightened her lips before quickly looking away. Satisfied, Lucinda turned back to Hikari and gave him another one of her soft smiles.
Once they arrived at the cafeteria, she looked around with mild interest. Everyone here was some sort of freak or another thanks to the scientists who worked here. She supposed that she had it better than most. With the exception of keeping close to her sister, nothing too bad had happened to her. Who knows, she might have become a scientist if she had been given the chance. At least then she could take out her blood lust without being arrested for it. She shrugged and move to where the food was being kept.
After loading her tray up, she found an empty table and took a seat. It wasn't long before her sister joined her and she had to bite back a sigh. The two didn't have to sit right next to each other but her sister wouldn't listen to reason. She supposed it was for the best in the case of a disaster. Still, didn't the girl every make any friends? All she did was mope around all day and stick to her side. It was bad when they weren't in this place but it had gotten ten times worse since they'd gotten here. She mindlessly put food into her mouth as she searched for someone to have wrapped around her finger.
Isabella glanced at the happy scientist as he chatted with their own. She liked his cheerful attitude but knew the darkness that lay in the hearts of these scientist. She avoided his eye when he started talking to them. Choosing, instead, to nod her head as he talked. Just get through this and don't get noticed, she repeated over and over. Drawing attention was not the way to survive in this place.
She was walking step by step with her sister when Lucinda suddenly slowed up. Izzy slowed down with her and watched as she wrapped an arm around Hikari. Oh no, she panicked as Lucinda gave him a soft smile. No one else would know but she knew what the smile meant. It meant Lucinda had found someone to entertain herself with and that person had better be prepared for a living nightmare. All Lizzy's suggestions and "helpful" tips would seem harmless but they weren't. Izzy listened to the conversation but was shocked to hear what Lucinda told Hikari. To anyone else it seemed harmless but they both knew that scientist didn't like that name. She turned to Lucinda, the shocked expression evident, but met Lucinda's pointed stare. She wanted to speak out and tell Hikari not to do it. Lucinda's stare became more intense and Izzy turned away. Her eyes were narrowed and her lips were tightened in a scowl.
She silently hoped Hikari would know better than to do that. If he didn't then she would have to help him in some way. She wouldn't throw her sister under the bus but she would save him somehow. If her sister wasn't right there then she would tell him to not do it. With her sister standing right there, however, she had no chance of getting word to him.
As soon as they arrived at the cafeteria, she glanced around the room but didn't wave to anyone. She was closed off when Lucy was standing right there. She had become more open during the time they had been apart. Now that they were back together she had retreated into herself. After getting her food, she sat down be her sister. She ate her food quickly before looking down at her hands. She started to hum a part of a piece of classical music she had listened to recently. It was quiet enough not to bother others but loud enough that those sitting near her could hear if they wanted to.
