    IC: "I know it sounds better than my sister here as a kid." Andrew turned playful as he gave said sister a playfully raised eyebrow. Silver blinked in surprise and turned back towards him with a bland deadpan.

    "And what do you remember from when we were kids?"

    "Quite a bit, why else would I claim you were a troublemaker? Besides, you still are a kid, Silver."

    "Sure, so are you." She chuckled pointedly. "You may be 18, but you still look...14, 15 at best."

    "I just retain my youthful appearance." Andrew playfully shot back, though shaking his head.

    OOC:

    IC: Calix almost choked on a nibble of ice cream, somehow. "Wait, you're eighteen??" he asked, though he kept it more quiet, as he remembered at the last second that it was probably magical and therefore not the best to go blurting loudly.

    OOC:


    IC: All three sets of eyes at the table were quick to turn towards Polaris at his choke, and Aeliana's only relaxed when she noticed he had only done it in surprise and was alright.

    Andrew, on the other hand, regarded Calix with a little more guard.

    "...yeah, I'm 18. It has been a couple years since I made my curse." While speaking pretty casually about it, the initial hesitation spoke of an unusual topic of conversation that made him feel nervous. His voice was also lowered so only their table heard it as well.

    OOC:


    IC: The strange reaction finally clicked with Andrew, for all he still felt uncomfortable with the topic.

    "Oh, yeah, I know I look young. We don't age past the time we make our deals. Huh, you and I are close to the same age..."

    OOC:

    IC: "That's...cool," Calix said lamely. "I guess. I don't get to see many people my age..." He blushed a little when he realized he'd said that aloud, but he quickly tried to brush it off. "Uhm, anyway--sorry, to fixate on it. I guess it just...didn't sink in, the whole immortal thing. For you guys, at least. A lot of my family are immortal, but then again they don't seem to age much either..."

    OOC: and sadly you'll be joining those ranks soon, Calix XP ;-; (bc of a certain scheming someone XP)


    IC: "I'll be honest and say I'm glad you get it at all. That's already a step in the right direction." Andrew attempted to both assure and joke, trying to help Calix relax once again.

    OOC: XP perhaps but its dark lol


    IC: Calix sputtered a laugh at Andrew's wording. "Well, yeah I guess. I must be used to the concept by now," he chuckled wryly. Though having it pointed out that these kids had stumbled upon immortality at puberty almost made him want to ask if they were okay, or how they coped, but that seemed weird to ask right then. Besides, it wasn't like he had his mother's wealth in this universe to look after these kids, nor could his stick around...

    OOC: I know XP

    And when you accidentally make the boy want to adopt you XP


    IC: "Which in turn makes it easier for us." Andrew finished before then finishing his ice cream cone.

    OOC: XP ;.;

    pffff, Calix doesn't need to adopt anyone else, but he'll adopt Andrew anyway XP then he'll go home and want to low key adopt HIS Andrew XP XD


    IC: Calix mulled that for a moment. "Is it usually hard to explain it to people?" he asked.

    OOC:Well, that latter adoption might be a tad harder XP


    IC: Andrew paused, frowning in thought at the idea.

    "I'm not a good person to ask that, actually, I don't really talk to enough people to have to explain it. I'd say ask Polaris, if he were here..." For a brief moment, the boy's face grew long at the thought of his missing friend, but it disappeared quickly thereafter.

    OOC: Well, that's the hope, to get him healed up so he can interact with others again XP

    On that note, a series I watched just put out a song for two of its characters out. It's about them fully healing from the fear of...their abuser? (one was abused, the other had her arm cut off by the abuser in defending the abused) Anyway, and I keep listening to the song and, other than a few artisticly liberal lines, can't help but imagine Silver/Azura And Andrew dueting as they fight Polaris, it fits pretty well. XP I would make an animatic if I could draw XP


    IC: "Huh? It's nothing to apologize for." Andrew swiftly tried to clear up, not wanting to make the teen feel guilty for something that wasn't his fault

    OOC: yessss pls ;.; Imani, Shilow, Andrew, and Atra become the next clique of the planet XP

    :o it sounds simultaneously awesome and sad, considering Calix XP ^^""" sounds hype tho OuO

    IC: "I meant, like, uhm..." Calix tried to explain sheepishly, "not, like, guiltily. Just kinda, in general. About the question, I mean."

    OOC: XP I mean, half the way there, since Andrew and Shilow are close and Imani and Atra are friends (still keep missing changes to make that apparent, but the aren't in scenes together much anymore as of right now XP)

    IC: "Still, there's no reason you should be apologizing. It happened, we have to deal with it best as we can. It's better to push forward than sit on something, after all. Especially...universe swapping shenanigans." The boy could only scoff as he said it out loud, shaking his head at the mere thought of it. Andrew still couldn't believe it was the situation they were in.

    OOC: And Imani and Shilow are friends :D (oops XP yeah that's been a thing lol)


    IC: Calix managed a sheepish chuckle at the wording. "Yeah..." he agreed. "...So, uhm, are you guys okay? Being immortal kids sounds like a lot to handle."

    OOC: Oops, forgot to mention that as well XP


    IC: Andrew blinked in surprise at the type of question, and other than seeming unsure how to answer, he didn't immediately look troubled. Silver, on the other hand, got a little awkward about overhearing such a question, but tried to continue her conversation with Aeliana.

    "I mean...we get through it together now, so I haven't really noticed anything." Andrew honestly answered after a moment to ponder the thought.

    OOC: XP Imani and Shilow make their antisocial friends go out


    IC: Calix had the grace to look sheepish about blurting such a question, but he nodded thoughtfully at Andrew's reply. "That must be nice," he mused, reminded of himself and his siblings once upon a time.
