The pitch-colored female flicked her ears and kept her eyes on the horizon, scanning for Cobra in case she decided to follow the cries.

  • Name: Cobra

Cobra kept after the sounds, slowly. After awhile she paused, doubting herself again. What if they don't really want to see me? But she kept going, coming closer to wherever they were. She stopped again, and howled to tell them she was closer.

[color=#e0e0e0] Parzival's tail wagged slightly as her howling came closer. He looked over at Khevyel excitedly, like a pup with a new toy. His smile faltered a bit upon noting her lack on enthusiasm, but he knew his sister was never the excitable sort. He hoped that was the only reason for her silence.

And finally, Cobra saw them, as she broke through dense part of trees. They were up ahead a bit, a few minutes run. She barked a greeting, but didn't know what to do beyond that. Would they accept her again?

  • Mallory started forward, but halted; his paws wouldn't let him run back to her. He was uncertain- would Cobra even notice him? He shifted from paw to paw anxiously, watching her get closer to them until eventually he bravely trotted in her direction. He called out to her to reassurance, a tiny grin creeping onto his face "Cobra?"

  • Name: Cobra

Cobra paused, watching as a strange wolf called her name. Then, with sudden joy, she realized it was little Mallory! He'd grown, just enough to be more then the small pup she'd first known. "Mallory!" She barked, and ran to meet him. She stopped in front of him, unsure if he would still like to see her after she left them. "Hi," She said in a slightly hopeful way.

  • Mallory grinned up at Cobra and simply replied with "Hi." before leaning forward slowly to rest his head on her foreleg. He still wasn't quite sure how to express excitement and longing for others, so this was the best way he could think of. His tail swayed slowly and his ears rested flat against his head, his eyelids heavy. He wanted to ask so many questions, but he came to the final decision that it would be best to hold his tongue until later. There was one pressing question to him though: Why did she run away so quickly? It couldn't have just been the human, because she stayed far away even after that.

  • Name: Cobra

Cobra smiled as the younger wolf rested against her. "It's.. It's really good to see you again Mallory." She murmured warmly, casting a glance at Khevyel and Parzivel, whom were still back a bit. Are they happy to see me? Do they think I was a coward, to run and stay away so long?
Why not, you are a coward.. Becoming nervous, she shifted away from Mallory. "So.. How've you all been? Since-" She broke off not wanting to describe how she'd ran and hid again.

  • (sorry for the extremely late response)

Mallory pulled back and looked up at Cobra. There were many things he wanted to say, but instead he left it as simply "we did pretty well, but there were a few bumps in the road."
He sat back on his haunches, waiting for Cobra's reply to be something typical like 'that's good' or 'i'm glad', like Mallory had noticed that some wolves would do.

  • Name: Cobra

Cobra bowed her head. "I'm sorry I left. I was scared, and once I was gone I didn't know how to come back. I'm sorry I left out of the blue, and wasn't there to help. But, I'm here now. If you all would be ok having a coward in your ranks." She said quietly, flushing out her thoughts that had been bugging her for ages.

  • "you are not a coward, but a wolf who tries to avoid making mistakes. I'm certain Khevyel wouldn't mind, and I know for sure that Parzival won't, but the only way to find out is to ask." He got to his paws slowly, not taking his eyes off of Cobra. "I'm sure they're waiting for you right now."

  • Name: Cobra

Cobra blinked appreciatively. "Thanks Mallory. You're right, that is the only way to know for sure." She looked forward, where the two wolves were waiting. She stood, and began to walk towards them, looking back t see if Mallory was coming.

  • <p>Mallory, surely enough, decided to tag along and make sure that Cobra wouldn't have too much anxiety about meeting the others. He wanted things to go back to how they started, so he wouldn't feel as though he started this mess. His tail hung low and wagged gently, and he trotted beside Cobra at her flank, feeling a bit more confident about bringing them back together.<br><br><br><br><woltlab-metacode data-name="hr" data-attributes="">❇•"everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone is willing to admit their mistakes"•❇</woltlab-metacode><br></p>

    //so what happens if @s u s h i doesn't come back? XD

Cobra was glad for the company, and soon they'd reached Khevyel and Parzivel. "Hey guys.." she said quietly, not knowing how they'd react

  • Thx.
