A NEW GENERATION {Children of Marvel heroes/Sign-ups/Always Open}

This takes place in New York City within the deepest parts of the city. The Avengers tower has been a bit resigned to help house and train these kids. SHIELD has come up with the plan of taking the children of various heroes and training them for the future. Not only is it planned that they are to be trained physically but they must also be trained mentally. Of course, to be able to help with that, the actual heroes have also taken a residence inside of the building. They are there to supervise and teach the children as much as they know so that they can be prepared for the worst. The dorms are used to fit 4 people at a time. Of course, the genders for them are split with girls being on one side while guys are on the other. Every month there will be a simulated battle to see how much the kids have improved throughout the time that they are there. However, who's to say that their first year here will be completely quiet and mundane?

IC Rules (Can be broken)
1. You have a curfew and you must be in your dorms by 10:35 PM. No later than that.
2. Be nice to each other and don't fight. You're all going to have to work in a team someday.
3. If you want to leave and visit the city, ask somebody first.
4. All weapons must not be taken out of their specific places unless allowed to.
5. Please, don't break anything.
6. If you break something, you're either going to fix it or find a replacement.
7. You must try your best in every training exercise, even if it may not be your thing.
8. Do not steal things, we will find out and there will be consequences.
9. If you're going to use your powers, use them with caution for you can hurt somebody or break something.
10. You must follow the schedule and wake up at 7:35 AM every morning.
11. Try to attend classes on time, that would be much appreciated.

13. So, the basic summary of this thread is that it's a building meant to train the children of various Marvel heroes.
14. One male and one female child for each hero only
15. No characters should be overpowered. They have their weaknesses.
16. In addition to rule 15, no power-playing. You do not control another RPers characters and fights can't end with a single touch.
17. On that note, do not kill another character unless you are allowed to by the person who is RPing as them. You also can't horribly injure another character (such as breaking a bone) without the permission of the person RPing as them. Minor cuts and bruises are allowed since they're not too much of a big deal (as long as you don't go overboard).
18. Please do not track the RP thread and then drop out without any reason. If you do find yourself having to drop out, please tell me so I can remove your character from the list.
19. In character, conflicts are perfectly okay. However, out of character conflicts will not be allowed. I would like for everybody to get along and not argue with each other since I don't do well with arguing at all.
20. If this thread were to ever die I may come back to revive it so always be ready.
21. I myself have the tendency to lose muse and become inactive so I am going to thoroughly apologize for that.
22. Please be able to post more than once a day. I completely understand if you can't do that but please try your best to post daily.

If you're going to RP as an actual character, you don't have to create a child character. However, if you do this you can only take 2 actual characters if you don't plan on making a child character.
24. There might be some blood and violence (especially in fights) which is perfectly fine. However, don't go into deep gore or anything along that line.

26. Of course, if you're going to play a child of a hero who doesn't exactly have powers (like Tony Stark) then they wouldn't have powers. However, they could have the same abilities of them. For example, like Tony Stark, the child could be just as intelligent and be able to build amazing things. Even if they don't have powers, that doesn't mean that they're weak.

Written appearance: Nate stands at exactly 6'0 with a weight of 174 lbs with some of his muscle mass the one adding to his weight. He has light brown eyes but actually has some grey mixed in with it. Nathan has an athletic build and has a pretty fit physique. Yes, he does have some visible muscle but it's not like he's a massive body builder or anything of that sort. He has thick black hair but it may look brown in very bright lighting which may lead people to think that he actually has brown hair (even though that is not the case). If not groomed properly it will stick out in random places and will seem as if he had only a single second to fix himself up. Nate has facial hair and could grow it out if he wanted. However, he never actually has and the most you'll ever see out of his facial hair is some stubble. His skin is slightly tanned and it isn't at all pale or completely white. Unlike a lot of people his age, he doesn't wear the 'normal' clothes you would see. Nate wears the exact same type of clothing that his father wears except it is a little lighter blue. There are only a few times where he would actually be found wearing a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a hoodie. However, his red Converse sneakers do stand out quite a bit from the whole outfit.
Faceclaim: Nico Tortorella
Posture: Nate tends to slouch a little bit in a relaxed way. As much as he's told to stand up straight he really can't force his body to keep upright for the whole day. When he's sitting it's the exact same thing.
Scars: There are two scars on his face; a small one that cuts through his right eyebrow and another medium sized one behind his left ear. Nate is also actually missing a tiny part of his left earlobe. Along with that, he has, even more, scars on both his back and torso that are, of course, hidden by clothing. There are some on his knuckles and hands. The most noticeable one is a long thin scar on the back of his neck after he got hit by a sharp object.
Tattoos/Modifications: There is an hourglass tattoo on his upper right forearm and one of a galaxy on his left shoulder.
Height: 6'0
Accessories: Nate wears leather bracelets on his right wrist and a metal wolf claw necklace.

Physical health: Due to the amount of combat training he has been through Nathan has built up a pretty tough shell. He has a very high pain tolerance and can take hit upon hit and still be standing. His reflexes are quick and it doesn't take him a long time for his brain to process something. There isn't really anything wrong with him physically. Nate is a quick and strong individual who can take care of himself. However, Nate actually has a shoulder injury and he can't actually lift heavy things for more than at least 1 minute before the pain starts to affect him. As much as it hurts he tries his best to power through the pain.
Mental health: On the mental side Nathan is just as better. His mind works non-stop and he is always constantly thinking. However, Nate actually has sleeping problems. He's an insomniac and even when he actually falls asleep he'll wake up in the middle night and won't be able to fall back asleep. It's really not uncommon to see him pacing around his room or trying to mess around while everybody else is asleep. Nathan has small auditory and visual hallucinations because of his sleep deprivation. Sometimes he'll hear people call his name, people talking, a radio or even a TV even though everything is actually completely quiet. He'll also see his door opening and somebody walk towards him for a second when having a visual hallucination. These hallucinations don't happen 24/7 but they are quite common. At night they're a bit frequent while in the morning they only happen once or twice.
Personality: Nathan is a highly determined young man who believes that giving up is not an option. If you put a task in front of him he will do anything and everything to get that task finished. It doesn't matter what kind of obstacle is in his way because he can always find a way around it. If he can't find a way around then he'll find a way over and if he can't find a way over he'll find a way under. There is practically nothing that can stop him from reaching his goal. He's also very friendly and likes to put on an outgoing persona over the real him. His true self is always tired and seemingly just bummed out all the time but he doesn't want other people to see him in such a way. Despite a lack of sleep and the fact that he's quite tired 24/7, he'll try his best at attempting to make friends and make people feel welcome. Quite a lot of people have been able to see through his persona and those who have been able to see the true him have told him to take a break countless amounts of time. However, being the way he is, he always turns down their advice and continues working until he feels like he should stop. Nathan also likes to make sarcastic remarks when in the worse of situations. He could be getting stabbed and he'll still be able to utter a small sarcastic statement before giving in. Many people could see Nate as a bit of pessimist. If somebody is looking at the bright side and stating that they can get through something, Nathan will be in the back shaking his head and will tell the person the more negative side of the story. However, he is in between pessimism and optimism but is a bit more towards the pessimistic side. Whenever something goes greatly and against his own pessimistic thoughts, Nathan will be incredibly surprised. He also has a small percent in being a realist but is mostly pessimistic for it all. Nate has a dry sense of humor and won't usually express much emotion when delivering a joke. Just because of this, he may seem emotionless and heartless but he really isn't, that's just how his sense of humor is. He's very loyal and will most likely stick to your side no matter what. However, if you do something to lose his loyalty or trust you will most likely never gain it back. It may take years for him to trust you again or maybe he just won't trust you at all forever. Mentally, Nathan is quite energetic and his brain his always buzzing with thoughts. Physically, he isn't as energetic and will usually be seen as the 'cool' guy who can keep himself calm in the worse situations. Okay, sure, he can be seen this way but on the inside, he is completely freaking out and just rolling on the floor crying while on the outside he's calm and ready to go. The reason for this is because he doesn't want to feel like a burden to other people. He doesn't want to be a problem towards others and would rather try to be helpful than be the one causing everything to go wrong. At a young age, he learned how to keep himself from showing people that they were getting to him. If somebody were to continuously pick on him he would simply shrug it off even though he's been quite hurt on the inside. Nathan is also very charismatic and charming with a very great intelligence. However, he doesn't like to show this because he feels like if he does then he'll just come off as if he was bragging and that's not what he wants. He doesn't believe that he's higher than anybody and he's certainly not egotistical or arrogant. Nathan is nothing but a kid trying to find the right place in the crowd.

Talents: Nate can repair or fix pretty much anything, can play piano incredibly well, hand-to-hand combat, very high intelligence, great memory, can handle most weapons, and can play the electric guitar like a pro.
Phobias/Fear: Nathan fears enclosed spaces that he can't escape from (like elevators), the expectations of certain people (including himself), letting anybody down, drowning, and being left behind or abandoned.
Weaknesses: Even though he has powers, Nathan is still a human and has the vulnerabilities that normal humans have. In order to use his actual powers he has to be able to move his hands and if his hands are tied then it's practically impossible for him to do anything. Since Nate has an injured shoulder he can't exactly lift anything the weight of a couch for more than a minute before he starts to feel pain. This will most likely cause him to drop the item. Nathan tends to randomly zone out when thinking about something. Sure, it's a good thing that he's able to think but if he's in the middle of a battle and starts thinking over a plan he'll just stand there like nothing is going on. This will, of course, lead to him probably getting hurt unless you go and get him out of his daze. Stronger spells will also take the energy out of him and sometimes it may be so bad that he can pass out for a maximum of 3 days.
Strengths: Nathan has a very sharp memory and can recall things quite quickly. He's also a quick learner and it's most likely that he can pick up a new skill after only taking a few times trying to learn it. Nate is incredible at hand-to-hand combat and can go on throwing punches for days on end. His reflexes are also very sharp and his brain can quickly process a situation which also makes him pretty good in having to decide certain things. Nate is able to lie greatly but sometimes it may backfire on him. He also has a very incredible pain tolerance and strong immune system which means it's very rare for him to get sick.
Likes: Anything about the universe or space, exploring, being challenged, any and all animals and nature, reading, causing trouble, the feeling of action and adrenaline, climbing, and just being able to hang-out with family or friends.
Dislikes: Too many rules, people having high expectations of him that he can't fulfill, enclosed spaces, people who are narcissistic and incredibly egotistical, being forgotten about or abandoned, tea, coffee, and being the one everyone depends on.

Who are you the child of?: Dr. Stephen Vincent Strange AKA Doctor Strange
Do you have any powers?: Yes, Nathan is able to perform most of the powers his father can perform. However, there are certain ones that he can't perform for he isn't as advanced as him. He can create weapons through Eldritch Magic and open portals (with the help of a sling ring) to travel to other locations, dimensions, and simply reach through. Nate can very easily separate his astral form (or more simply, his soul) from his actual physical body. However, he can only stay in this form for up to 5 hours before having to return to his actual body. Nathan is working on being able to extend his time limit on this. When in this form he's invisible to everybody unless he chooses to make himself visible. He's also able to phase through objects. The only problem is that whenever he does this his actual body will go unconscious. Nathan is also able to use telekinesis but he has a limit on lifting heavy items that are of the weight of a car. He can also perform various other spells and such that aren't as big as the other ones he can perform.
If so, how did you get them?: Nathan wasn't born with these powers, he was taught at a very young age by his father. There's still quite a bit he can learn and strives to be able to perform better and do more.
