    Introduction
You are in a forest filled with dandelions and other white flowers. They are up to your stomach, and you are running through them, your laughs caught in the wind. Slowly, the sun sets, and your limbs grow tired, and your mind too. Finding a nice hole in a tree trunk, you curl up inside and fall asleep instantly. The next morning, you wake up with unfamiliar scents filling your nose. Your pelt starts to prickle, and you lift your head. Three cats are outside your den. A black and white tom, an orange and white tabby she-cat, and a brown tabby tom, who was smaller than the others. The little one jumped up and down, his excitement showing, while the others held expressions of no emotion. Maybe the she-cat showed some sympathy, but she was good at hiding it. Standing up slowly, the small tom meowed excitedly, "Let me get 'em! Let me get 'em!" But the female put her paw in front of the small ones chest. "No, Birchpaw, it is up to Marshfrost what we do with this stranger." The one known as Marshfoot, who had been radiating authority, turned towards the she-cat. "Cherrymist, this cat is injured. We shall take them back to camp so they can heal up before they leave; if they want to, that is." Cherrymist nodded, now rounding up Birchpaw. Marshfoot turned towards you, and your heart pounded. "Hello, stranger. Welcome to AdderClan: the Clan of the fierce and brave."

    Our History
AdderClan is an old Clan, back from the ancient times of the world. We have lived in this forest for as long as anyone can remember, from all the stories passed down to each generation. We've had many leaders over the past years, but Alderstar has been one of the best so far. His/Her deputy, Marshfoot, will become a great leader and lead us to a new era. But, AdderClan also has had bad times. A leader named Fallenstar once tried to slowly kill us all in our sleep, until StarClan figured out who was killing all these cats. Warning Cottonpetal, who was the deputy of AdderClan at the time, they striped away Fallenstar's lives, and he ran away with only his pride left inside him. Cottonpetal became Cottonstar, and chose Alderstar, who is our current leader, as her deputy. We are now at peace and living in prosperity... For now.

    Our Tradtions + Beliefs
We believe in StarClan, a Clan of heavenly cats in the stars who watch over us. The Dark Forest is the dark side of the world, and we stray away from them. They are believed to be vicious and haunt us in our dreams, that's why we have nightmares. They find our weakest point and try to make it weaker. But, StarClan finds our weakest point and makes it stronger.
AdderClan doesn't have many traditions, but we have the Half-Moon, which is when Medicine Cats go to the MoonFall and speak with StarClan. We also have the Full Moon, where we all gather in the center of the camp and just relax the whole day, without any work.

    Our Territory + Camp
AdderClan's territory is a beautiful, lush oak forest located in central Tennessee. It has a meadow of white flowers surrounding the forest, and it is close to a few mountains. A lake is located next to the camp.
The main forest is a forest full of dandelions and white flowers. There are many oak trees, so there are a lot of leaves laid all over the floor of the forest. x
The white meadow is a meadow full of all different kinds of white flowers surrounding the oak forest. x
The mountains are right next to the white meadow. x
The lake is right next to AdderClan's camp. x

AdderClan's camp is an underground cave, by a lake and a mountain.

The cave is underground, right under the mountain itself. It provides great protection for the Clan. x

    Rules
The Warrior Code: 1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from the other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
    2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
    3. Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
    4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
    5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
    6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their
    warrior name.
    7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
    8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
    9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen
    before moonhigh.
    10. A gathering of all neighboring Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
    11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
    12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan.
    13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
    14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
    15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

OOC: 1. Realistic characters, and no perfect characters, please! No weird names like Sparklyburp who has a pink pelt and burps confetti and farts rainbows.
    2. This is a semi-advanced thread, please have 5+ sentences!

    4. All sexualities allowed, but two homo/bi/pan character per person please. We want kits so AdderClan can grow bigger! Also, no transgender cats, it's very confusing.

I might be a potato... But I have standards.

A tom slept in the middle of the warrior's den, his black and white flanks rising and falling as he slept. As sunlight crept through the branches of the den, he woke up to the warmness of it on his pelt and it shinning in his eyes. Opening his dark amber eyes, he squinted against the light and groaned. But he was going to be working today, so he should be happy! But he sighed. He just wanted a day to relax, really, and just be with his kits. But, he was the deputy of AdderClan, and wanted to be the best he could be for Alderstar. The deputy, known as Marshfrost, got up. Being careful of his Clanmates' tails and legs, he padded outside, looking around for Alderstar.

  • Frozenpaw
Frozenpaw woke with the soft rays of the first light. He was always an early riser, usually the first awake. His dark blue eyes scanned the apprentice den, a habit he'd developed as a precaution. He stood and stretched his back. The small black and white cat went to the very corner of the clearing and started cleaning his already flawless coat.

    Jadepaw
Jadepaw woke much earlier than she would normally with the sound of Frozenpaw leaving. She knew she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, so she hauled herself to her feet, shaking off any spare moss that clung to her speckled coat. She began rearranging the soft bits of fur and moss in her nest.

A red-brown tabby tom laid lazily outside what was known as the leader's den. He had bright green eyes, the colour of bush leaves mid-new leaf. His name was Alderstar, and he was leader of AdderClan. He, too, had been wishing for a day to rest with his family - his parents, his brother and his daughter. How great that would be. But as leader, it was less likely to happen to him than it was to Marshfrost, but he didn't mind. They were all still alive, unlike his unfortunate mate Heatherwind, but they were all alive and well and that was all that mattered. Spotting the earlier mentioned deputy exiting the comfort of the warriors' den, Alderstar cleared his throat and beckoned him over with his tail.

A dark grey tabby, whom you would not have recognised as Alderstar's brother, was woken up by Marshfrost's exited. He shared his father's strong dislike for the deputy, and was very confused as to what made his elder brother think Marshfrost was good deputy material. The tom was emotionless and cared only for his kits - one of which hated him more than anything. Alderstar's brother - Stormwhisker - waited a few minutes before stretching and taking his leave of the den. Where he went next was the apprentices' den, to check on his beloved niece. "Jadepaw? Are you awake?"

Honeypaw, a pale honey-coloured tabby, responded. This was the only daughter of Marshfrost, and the kit who hated him more than any of her enemies. She flicked an irritated ear and lifted her head. "She's not, but I am. Well, now I am at least." Quietly, the fae slipped out of the den and past the warrior, not even stopping to think her dreaded father would most likely be up and about already. When she spotted him, she forced a small smile in case anybody noticed. Her hate was a complete secret - she never even dropped hints.

The two elders, Kestrelfeather and Stoneface, mother and father to Alderstar and Stormwhisker, stayed fast asleep.

I might be a potato... But I have standards.

Marshfoot caught Alderstar's gaze and tail-tip movement. Padding over, he dipped his head, his voice respectful but cool. "Good morning, Alderstar. What patrols shall I assign this lovely morning?" Which, it actually was a beautiful morning. It was a crisp morning, with a hint of chill. //low muse

Birchpaw, aroused by Stonewhisker and Honeypaw's voices, groaned. "Honeypaw, be nice to the dude. What's he done to you?" He usually wasn't this way, but he was really tired and just wanted to go back to bed. [because there aren't other warriors atm to train Birchpaw, we can say they are hunting early or something] //low muse... again

  • Stormwhisker's pale yellow eyes brightened. "Oh, good morning Jadepaw! Your dad's awake. Should we go eat with him?" he suggested, referring to Alderstar. Whenever his big brother was busy and Jadepaw wasn't, Stormwhisker would either leave her to have some alone time or go keep her company. He wasn't clingy, but wanted to make up for everything he did when Heatherwind was alive.

Alderstar nodded. "Yeah. I don't mind who you send, but add another cat on the border patrols. I feel a little uneasy." It was true Alderstar got bad feelings a lot of the time, but he never passed them up, never ignored them. He always took precautions.

Honeypaw rolled her hazel eyes and grabbed something to eat.

  • Marshfrost nodded, and called out, "All those old enough to hunt prey, gather around the Tall Rock for patrols!" //low muse, posting others later

  • The call startled Alderstar a little bit, but he calmed down soon after. For a second there he was going to tell Marshfrost off till he realised he was calling for patrols. "I think you can handle this." Alderstar raised himself up and padded over to Jadepaw and Stormwhisker. It was like he'd read his younger brother's mind as he said, "Hey you two. Shall we grab a bite to eat together?"

Stormwhisker smiled as his brother approached and nodded his head. "We were about to come to you." Then he paused and glanced over his shoulder at Marshfrost with a 'tch'. "I hope he doesn't mind if I stay here with you guys."

  • Frozenpaw got to his feet gracefully, covering ground quickly as the young tom saw his father upon the rock. He sat down in the usual spot, the best place to see.

Jadepaw nodded. She walked over to the freshkill pile and stopped. "What do you guys want? There's a thrush, a few mice, and a rabbit."

  • Alderstar pondered his daugher's offer for a moment. He strayed away from the bird, having inherited his mother's dislike of them. "I'll have a mouse." He dipped down his head and picked up a mouse, then turning to wait for his brother and daughter to choose their meals. He glanced briefly over at the elders' den and made a mental note to bring his parents breakfast when they woke up.

Stormwhisker picked out the thrush. Unlike his elder brother and mother, he loved birds.

  • //on mobile, posting others once I get home

Marshfrost bit back a retort to Stormwhisker. Why would I care about what you do or don't do? You're not my family. Besides, you better make up for what you did to your brother, splitting apart your family like that. He thought to himself, slightly angered. But when Frozenpaw bounded up beneath him, he smiled at his kit. He was proud of all his kits, but Honeypaw seemed a bit... Strange about it, though he never said anything. Birchpaw could be a pain in his tail, but he still loved him anyway.

  • Alderstar nodded to his daughter then went back and settled down outside his den, beckoning for his family to join him with his tail. Once Jadepaw and Stormwhisker were down beside him, he tucked in. "How's training going, Jadepaw?" He asked brightly, deciding to try and start conversation. Stormwhisker had been there for Jadepaw way more than Alderstar had, but at least she knew the difference between her father and her uncle. Alderstar personally vowed he'd be in her life more a couple moons ago, and that had been what he was trying to do recently. Good on him, I guess.

Stormwhisker flicked his tail in frustration as he passed Marshfrost. He may or may not have hit the deputy in the face by accident, but he didn't stop to check. He laid down beside his brother and instantly dug into the thrush, a small smirk forming upon his lips as Alderstar stared at Stormwhisker's prey in disgust. "What, you scared it's gonna come back alive and eat you?" "Don't be ridiculous. I just don't like birds."

Honeypaw scooped up a mouse and padded briefly over to Frozenpaw, dropping it at his paws. "Hey, I got you some food. Wanna share?" She knew Birchpaw would probably feign offence and pester her about not waiting for him to wake up later, but Honeypaw would deal with that at the time. She'd become a master and waving off her annoying younger brothers, as well as weaving her way out of conversation with her father. Honeypaw was weird and would only try to escape conversations with her father if her brother or other apprentices weren't around. She didn't want others of her own rank suspecting her love for her father. Part of her heart, at least, beated firmly for him and Honeypaw knew that she'd instinctively rush to save him if she had to. But the rest of it had a strong dislike for him - never wanted to see him unless he was in trouble and needed her.

    //plot idea I'm pming you now~~~

  • Frozenpaw nodded. "Sure. Where's Birchpaw?" He asked. His blue eyes were murky and dark.

Jadepaw laughed at her father and uncle's light banter. "Training's going well. Except the fighting. I don't have enough muscle to do much there."

  • Alderstar smiled. "That's fine, you'll be a great warrior regardless. A lot like your mother was, you are. She was better at hunting and almost as beautiful as you." Alderstar's smile faltered into a more serene one. He made himself feel better thinking how much Jadepaw was like Heatherwind, but also how Jadepaw was unique in her own way too.

Stormwhisker shifted uncomfortably at the mention of Heatherwind. She had been the reason he rebelled against his loving family and close elder brother, but he blamed himself for that entirely. For letting jealousy get the better of him. He agreed with Alderstar regardless.

Honeypaw shrugged. "Still asleep, probably. He'll eat when he wakes up, don't worry." Honeypaw's vibrant hazel eyes trailed up to her father, the cat whom she looked nothing like. Strangers would wonder how they could possibly be father and daughter. Honestly, Honeypaw was glad she probably looked a lot more like Sandflower than she did Marshfrost. "Hello father."

The post was edited 1 time, last by tubig . ().

  • Jadepaw looked up her father, noticing their vastly different appearances. "Do I look like her?" She asked, her bright green eyes boring into his. She rarely asked questions about her mother, but she needed to know. Jadepaw had only fully seen what she looked like once, when the lake was calm.

Frozenpaw looked at the Apprentice Den, presumably where Birchpaw now slept. When Honeypaw spoke to their sire, he looked up also.
