let's write some cool shit!! [ plot w/ koda ]

1. i consider myself a literate writer and i write however much is needed for a scene. if it is a fast-paced action or dialogue-heavy scene, one detailed paragraph is probably all you're getting. if we have to delve deep into a character's backstory or thoughts, or we are introducing a new scene, i could write up to 4 full pages in word. it all depends on the setting and the response i get from you. i'm not one to fill a post with flowery words and descriptions simply for the sake of a longer word count. on your end, i don't mind how much you write just as long as it isn't a one-liner and you give me a response i can work off of. don't worry yourself with matching.

1a. HOWEVER, i do expect you to put thought into your replies. i don't see literacy as a word count. i see it as your ability to get into your character's head and create an intriguing story involving them that makes me itch for more. i would appreciate replies that make me want to come back for more and aren't just pumped out simply for the sake of getting a reply up. give effort, you receive effort.

2. i have zero limits. zip. zilch. nada. i've been around the block a few times since i turned 18, and nothing has phased me yet. however, i don't quite know what this site's limit on sex/violence/etc is. if you would prefer to keep it out of the roleplay, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. if you want to add some mature aspects, PLEASE LET ME KNOW and we can do it over pm or whatever. also please be 18+ if you want mature themes because i'm not looking to go to jail, my dudes. also, please don't be phased by language. i swear like a goddamn sailor, ic and ooc. if that bothers you, i may not be the right partner for you.

3. i have a busy life. i have a part-time job in retail (so my hours change every week), i have a house, sick mother, and new puppy to look after. not to mention, school sucks ass and is trying my patience and sanity. i will not have the time to reply every day, sometimes maybe not even every few days. if it's been a week with no reply from me on anything, feel free to give me a nudge, but otherwise please don't bug me. i will try my best to reply in as timely a fashion as possible. on your end, i will give you the same respect. all i ask is you let me know if the roleplay isn't doing it for you anymore or if you are going to be away for 3 or more days on vacation or whatnot. i will do the same for you.

4. PLOT WITH ME! i will call you out if you're making me do all the plotting. ngl, that is the shit that pisses me off most with roleplaying. please contribute some ideas, plot twists, etc. show me that you are interested in the story we are creating!

5. more just a personal preference than anything, but i prefer to write in lowercase ooc and ic. if it bugs you that i do it ic, just let me know and i can switch to proper capitalization.

6. I DO ANY AND ALL PAIRINGS. mxm, fxf, mxf. i may dabble in trans and non-binary pairings, but i will need some coaching because i myself am cis and don't fully understand the struggles trans/non-binary people deal with. also, i do have a preference for same-sex. not saying i won't do some good ole' het, but if you are debating on what pairing you wanna do, same-sex is my #1.

7. i do not double unless we are specifically playing a polyamorous relationship. i don't like focusing my attention on more than one main character. you feel free to do as you please. c: however, i will throw in plenty of side characters.

i don't like having a clear-cut list for you guys to pick from when it comes to genres. give me something fantasy, with dragons or portals to another world or conflicts between different species and the war they are fighting. give me apocalyptic, with zombies or war-torn landscapes or complete government fallout/takeover and the harsh conditions our poor characters have to survive in. give me modern, with pregnant best friends or rampant crime in the streets or hookups in a bar and oh shit that's my teacher or touring with bands across the country or summer road trips or affairs. give me a dystopian future where our characters are trying to break the status quo and are running from the police force and escaping the death sentence as they try to figure out what the outside world has in store for them. give me horror stories filled with demons and torture and trying to survive the serial killer hunting you down. give me paranormal ghosts and vampires and mermaids and sirens and pirates.

i want your minds to run free. ANY IDEA YOU HAVE OR PLOT YOU HAVE BEEN DYING TO DO, come to me with it and 9 times out of 10 i will be 100% on board with it and will help you flesh it out. let your creative juices flow!! <3

* i also adore tumblr prompts and little plot snippets from tumblr, as well. if you have a list of those, oh boy, i will love you for life. we can even try snapshot roleplaying with those prompts too, if you're up for it!

** if there is a specific odd pairing that you would like to do, by all means, tell me what it is and we can base a plot around them!

i definitely felt like this needed its own section. i love fandoms! i love playing canon characters, and i love au's oh dear lord. ngl, i would prefer to do au's for most of these fandoms, everything from college au's to apocalyptic au's to au's with them still in their own universe but separate from the storyline of the books/movies/video games/ etc they are a part of. i will list next to each fandom whether or not i am ok with playing characters in the canon universe. if you would prefer to play oc's, we can discuss it.
