  • You just moved into town. It's a nice place, calm and quiet. You think you will enjoy it here, but first you ought to get settled. You looked for a job opening and found the position of a personal guard. Seems up your alley. You decide to take it without looking into to further. You have no idea what you are getting into.

  • Tracking with this guy~!

  • OOC: Alright I'll kick it off.

IC: Leif sat in his study staring at the papers laying on the desk, but not doing anything about them. He flicked down the pen in his hand. He would do them later. He checked the clock watching the ticking hands move for a few seconds. That new guard was suppose to be arriving. The last one had been fired for he was just getting too curious of things. "He had better not be late," grumbled Leif resting his head on one of his hands.

  • Asher sighed to himself as he stood before the door that led to his new boss's study. His hand was pushed through his raven locks as he tried to psych himself up into entering the large room, the newspaper with the job description folded neatly in his hand. He took a sharp breath as he brought his thick knuckles upon the wood frame of the door and waited silently for the signal that would permit him to answer.

  • Leif glanced over seeing the man standing there at hearing the sound of knocking bringing him to attention. "I take it you have a reason for being here," he said a bit flippantly. Leif figured he knew the reason already, for no one else would be coming here. He seemed to be evaluating the new comer through narrowed eyes.

  • //I totally just called Alphonse - Asher -. OML

ALPHONSE swallowed thickly and pulled on the dark tie strung around his neck as he let his dark eyes slide up and down the other male with narrowed eyes. "Yes..." He said, pulling out the newspaper and pointing to the job ad. "I'm here for the job."

  • OOC: I saw that and I was like I don't remember his name being Asher... but I didn't look back to check.

IC: "Of course," said Leif waving a hand. He turned away while he was talking. "Or else you wouldn't have been let in at all." He paused just sitting there a moment then spoke again sounding impatient, "is that all you've got to say then?"

  • //My fish memory, I swear... Hopefully I won't do that again. vUv

Alphonse sent the male a light furrow of his brow but nodded his head never the less, " I suppose I'd like to know where I'll be stationed." He replied head tilting forward letting the light catch his dark pools. "Unless you don't have a place for me to be."

  • "You're position is simple," stated Leif shooting a glance back at him. "Does it not say you are to be a personal guard? You will be by me when I want you to and making yourself useful elsewhere when I don't." His tone was flat while addressing the man standing nearby. "Clear enough to get through your head?"

  • Alphonse bit back a harsh shout of anger and instead took to chewing on the inside of his cheek as he nodded, "Understood, sir." He muttered in a strained fashion before tucking the folded piece of newspaper once more into his pocket. He folded his arms over his chest observing the male, Lief, once more with narrowed eyes and a strained look pressed upon his face. "Understood..." He echoed soon after his last words had hung alone in the air for a few moments.

  • "Good," said Leif simply. He caught the tone and expression of the man before turning his gaze back down and picking up his previously dropped pen. He continued on with his work as though the whole conversation hadn't even occurred and he had been alone here the whole time.

  • The male stared down over his new boss with and angry yet oddly calm expression. He remained silent peering down over Leif's shoulder and down at the paper he had begun to run his pen across. Smooth lines of ink were sprawled across the page but the male didn't bother to read the fine print and instead took to leaning closer. He figured if the male was going to be moody he may as well make some fun of it. He quirked up his lips as he turned his gaze to Leif as if expecting something.

  • Movement to the side attracted Leif's gaze as Alphonse leaned over to see the writing. "What do you think you're doing?" Snapped Leif harshly his eyes flashing as he turned his head only to meet Alphonse's gaze. Leif set his jaw tightly.

  • Alphonse shot his hands up in an attempt to calm the angry male, "Just looking to make sure you aren't plotting something." He said in an attempt to joke but a bitter undertone bit through his words as his eyebrows dropped once more in annoyance. He regarded Leif with a blank look moments after his display of slight mockery, "Is this all you do all day? Why do you need a guard when all you do is paperwork?"

  • Leif scowled. "Look here," he growled through clenched teeth. His tone was defensive and threatening. "I did not hire you to ask questions or critic me. So it would be to your benefit to hold you tongue unless you'd like to see what happens if you don't." He kept his cold gaze on Alphonse a moment longer before turning away once more.

  • The male scoffed to himself and mocked the male in a small voice, "-unless you'd like to see what happens..." He tittered with a slightly jovial smile on his face. "I apologize, I suppose getting to know my employer was a horrible idea on my part. I beg your pardon." The male turned away from him, folding his long, lean arms over his chest and leaning against the wall. The silence was beginning to buzz in a strange and slightly unnerving manner that set him on edge and made the air around him feel like it was crackling with charged energy.
