  • the truth you seek

The slim female was sitting in the clearing of the cave, some thin, flexible twigs from some sort of scraggly bush sitting upfront of her as she had a decent weave on a few. A small paw pressed at the tip of one of the twigs, bending it as she was trying to insert another twig, but then it slipped against her paw pad and slapped her nose. With her concentration snagged away, the weave flopped to the ground and she drew a chocolate paw over her dark maw. "Owwww— I was so close this time!"

  • "Uh, hey. What in Silverpelt are you doing?" asked Thrush cautiously. He'd never seen this she–cat before, so he was understandably hesitant. What is she was an enemy spy? Or a bone–munching Blood Clanner weaving some evil trap? Or a fox wearing a cat's fur to lure in unsuspecting warriors? Okay, that one was actually a little unlikely. "Uh, i-is your nose okay? And what is that? Some kind of, um, evil cat–snapping trap?" he said, laughing awkwardly. Mouse bile, he was being paranoid and awkward again, wasn't he?

Blue eyes directed themselves to Thrushmumble as he approached, her thin tail swaying in a quiet greeting as she rubbed her nose a bit more, then setting her paw back down. "I'm fine. I was trying to build a makeshift den thing that apprentices or kits could play in, but the twigs don't want to hold easily." Her whiskers quivered with amusement as she looked to him again. "Heheh, 'evil cat-snapping trap,' huh? It must be a defective one, then, if it snapped me." A playful smile formed on her bicolored maw. "My name's Songbird by the way, you?"
