Violetflower, a pretty blue silver she-cat entered the warriors den and spotted the pretty brown pelt of Woodspots curled up in her nest looking lonely. She padded over to her and greeted her. "Hello Woodspots, is everything okay?"
-
Woodspots dipped her head at the new cat. "Oh hello! Everythings fine! Thanks! Just a little lonely, thats all!" She explained, obviously liking the cat.
-
Violetflower was happy to hear that she was okay. "Well i'm always here, if you want to hunt or just explore." She mewed. She hoped that she could make friends with the pretty she-cat. Woodspots wasn't the only loney cat in the clan.
-
Woodspots grinned. "Really thanks? Do you know many cats here? Do you have a mate? Or kits?" She questioned. "Sorry, if I'm being too nosy, I just excited when I meet new people!" She exclaimed, meowing fast.
-
Violetflower chuckled. "No im not looking for a mate right now, though i would love to have kits of my own someday." She replied softly. "And as for the others, well i'm mostly new to Thunderclan as well. They are nice cats, polite and caring". She said happily. Violetflower was happy to have a conversation with another cat, it had been a while since she had a friend."So, Woodspots, what is your story?"
-
Woodspots had flashbacks for a second. "Well, my parents are loners currently. My brother and my sister are dead from this evil bloodclan warrior... and well I came to Thunderclan to protect myself. The murderer still thinks I'm out there....as a loner. I'm hiding my identity in here. My real name was Daliah. But your leader let me stay here..."
-
Violetflower was shocked. "I-Im so sorry...that is so horrible".
"You were lucky to find our clan when you did." Replied Violetflower, she felt a new respect for this cat becuase she has suffered much. "Do your folks know you are safe?" She asked cautously. She didn't want to offend Woodspots. -
Woodspots shuddered in return. "No, they probably believe that I am dead by now... I never really saw them anyways... Do you have any terrible stories?" She asked, trying to change the subject.
-
Violetflowers thoughts took her to last leaf bare, when the clan was at it's weakest. "There was no more prey, and we were forced to hunt beyond our territory." Her heart grew heavy as the memories replayed in her head. "My sister, Specklepelt, was on hunting patrol..." Violetflower took a deep breath... "When a Shadowclan patrol caught her on their border... t-they killed her in cold blood." Her eyes clouded with grief, she dipped her head so Woodspots wouldn't see her sadness.
-
Woodspots frowned. "I-i'm so sorry... that must be terrible..." Woodspots nuzzled the cat to make her feel better. "I know how you feel, though. " She continued.
-
Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, she pressed against her friends muzzle. She felt comforted by her companion. Suddenly over come by hunger, she blinked, "Do you want to get some fresh-kill?" She asked. "I think the hunting patrol just returned."
-
Woodspots grinned. "Yeah, I was getting a little hungry as well!" She said, padding over to the fresh kill pile. She chose a small vole from the pile and took a big bite. "Yum!" She said, with her mouth full.
-
Following Woodspots, she chose a plump wood mouse and sat down beside her.
-
Woodspots quickly devoured the vole and then stood up, taking the bones back where all of the dead remainings go. "Done!" She shouted, happy, now that she had eaten.
-
Gulping down the last of her fresh-kill, she gave her self a quick wash. "It's so quite today"... she wondered aloud
-
Woodspots nodded in agreement. "Yeah...your right. Do you have an apprentice?" She asked politely.
-
Violetflower blinked. "Oh no, not yet at least. Brasstar hasn't given me an apprentice of my own. I have only recently been made a warrior." Violetflower wished she had one, but she would have to wait. "Do you want one some day?" She mewed softly, glancing warmly at Woodspots.
-
Woodspots stared off into the distance. "I would love one... I love kits. they are my life... thats why I want to have kits one day... I just don't think any cat likes me..." She meowed, sadly.
-
Violetflower was taken aback by the sadness in Woodspots vioce. She couldn't think of a reason why another cat wouldn't be attracted to a pretty she-cat like Woodspots. She turned her blue gaze on her friend. "Well, i don't think that's true." She stated. "Any cat would be lucky to be with you, but toms never think beyond their own fur"! she mewed loudly. Violetflower wouldn't admit it, but she wished sometimes that she had a mate.
