  • Hello! So we'll get straight to the point. I've had this private thread for a while now, it was mostly for me and my close friend before I invited another friend in. The thread's private function was set to "Allow Only People Below to Access," and it worked just fine before the transition. After the site transition however, it went downhill. My friends would get kicked out of the thread almost everyday. One friend would tell me they couldn't access it, so I would add them back but then my other friend would then say they couldn't access it now. So, multiple times I've had to add both of them back to the thread because the thread kept kicking them out. It became incredibly frustrating as it happened so many times. Is this a bug? For now I've settled to just using "Hide Thread," and no ones gotten kicked out...yet. Though the only problems I found with this is that if you didn't create the thread, it won't appear in your "watched threads," second, somehow guests can still access the thread even though the thread should only be available to those with the link. Guests seem to appear in both options for private threads, which is strange to me.

  • I'm trying to find out as much as I can to help you!

As from what I can tell, it seems like a glitch. Using 'Hide Thread' is seemingly the only thing you can do, for now, and as for it not appearing in your watch list, have you checked the settings? When you type a reply, there will be 'Smilies' 'Attachments' and 'Settings' just above where it tells you the amount of characters and words in your post. If you click on the 'Settings' button, it will show you a 'Watch Thread' option. Make sure the box is ticked.

I hope this helps! I apologise for not being to help more.

  • It's alright, I'm glad for the help you can offer. This does seem like a bug to me but I thought it would be best for the staff to know about the bug as well. :) I will try what you said in the private thread and see how that goes! Thanks for the response and hopefully the glitch will be fixed one day. :D

  • Thanks. ^^ I tried what you suggested, the private thread is marked as watched but still doesn't appear in my watched threads. Though it gives me notifications if someone posts in there. The box is also ticked in the settings tab.

  • I see. I'm glad it worked a little bit for you, though. I'll do as much more research on this as I possibly can and if I find a solution, I'll tell you! ^^*

It's probably best you inform an admin about this error.
