  • BASIC INFORMATION
(y/c) has been wanting a pet, specifically a neko, for quite a while; and now, they have ultimately decided to go out and buy one. (y/c), in search for a Pet Store, has finally stumbled across one. Inside lies exactly what they had hoped for; a neko, well, quite a few nekos, really. Ultimately deciding on buying a neko; (y/c) is now responsible for the one that they chose. However, caring for [ and possibly loving ] a neko isn't what (y/c) had been expecting at all. We will start from perhaps when (y/c) is looking between the nekos, and making a final decision [ I'll play the shop owner, or if you want to, you can ]

  • Lol had to track it first so no one else would take it! XD

    Full Name:
    Ryota Akimoto
    Personality:
Ryota is the athletic type, he is currently on a soccer team for the city. He likes to consider himself pretty good at it. He is charming, he can for the most part easily get a positive impression on someone. Ryota can also be an airhead at times. He doesn't seem very in-tune with other people's emotions. He probably would not be able to tell that someone likes him even if they flat out told him. He is generally very patient with others, but depending on the situation, his patience can be drained very quickly.
    Purchasing:
    Neko D!

  • Ryota peeks through the window of the pet shop, he saw the shop's advertisement from across the street. He could not believe he found a shop that had Nekos. He had always dreamed of having one since he was young. He could now definitely afford one, he is on a city team that pays pretty-well if a game is won. He also has a part-time job in a traditional candy shop as a back-up, in case the team has a few unlucky spills.

As he caught sight of a few Nekos, he walked into shop, a small bell ringing as the door opened. Instantly,he made his way to where the Nekos were being kept. He looked like a kid in a candy-store! He spent a few minutes looking at each Neko, they were all adorable. Though he found himself coming back repeatedly to Azure as the name plate stated. He looked a bit funny to him, Azure seemed to be a bit grumpy. "You are definitely the one,"he breathed with happiness. He looked around , trying to spot an employee.

"Hello? I'll take Azure!" he said probably too loudly. He couldn't help himself, he was just excited to finally get himself a Neko.

Azure was currently curled up within his kennel; keeping an eye open for any new customers to come. He had a rather sarcastic behavior; and potential buyers sometimes seemed to dislike that. He was a hard neko to cooperate with; especially because he acted so cold. Although unbeknownst to his potential owners beforehand; his coldness was actually a way to cover up for the emotion he really felt. He was a very emotional neko, however disliked showing it.

The store owner looked up from where she was seated; hurrying over. "Azure? Interesting choice!" She chuckled before continuing. "There's just a bit of paperwork you'll need to sign, and you're good to go!" She smiled, handing him a pen and the said papers.

  • Ryota nodded, "Alright. Seems simple enough." He took the mentioned documents and quickly skimmed through it. After finishing, he signed and handed the papers back to the store owner. "So. Is there anything in particular I should be aware of ? Azure doesn't look like he will be much trouble. Is that right?" He asked as he turned to get a better look at his cute Neko.

He turned his head to look back at the store owner, and asked almost pleadingly, "Can I grab him now?"

She smiled and took the papers; looking through them before offering yet another warm smile at the male. "He has a bit of an... interesting personality, so to say, but he's not quite mischievous as a few of the others, so no, nothing in particular that you need to be aware of," She smiled; leaning back.

"Of course! He's officially yours now. If you need any supplies for him, they're are some around here. Come back whenever you like," The female smiled, before hurrying over to another potential buyer.

Azure stared up at him with his adorably large and blue eyes; but then looking away and looking bored, as if to say he wasn't interested in the male. However, this wasn't actually how he felt; he was quite excited to finally be adopted...

  • Ryota said his thank you and smiled as he picked up Azure, "Do you need anything? Hungry? Maybe eyeing a toy or treat?" Ryota put the Neko back onto the ground and signaled for him to go choose something. He then began to look through the care-books that were in the back of the room. Maybe I should a buy a few. I already know the basics, but it wouldn't hurt to have a crutch to lean on. Just in case..

He flipped through the books making sure he takes the one that has the most useful information. By the time he was done, he had an armful of books. You know, just to be safe..

The neko stared up at his new owner; scanning the many treats around them. He eyed the male; wondering why he trusted him so much as to the point of where he'd trust him not to run off. With a flick of his tail; he darted off, now curling up in front of a large pack of treats. He ultimately decided on not to run off or whatnot. He looked back towards Ryota; watching what he was doing.

  • As Ryota made his way back to the counter he spotted Azure by a pretty hefty bag of treats. He walked up to him and picked up the package. He inspected it looking for the price. "Alright. I suppose I can get you this. It isn't too expensive," he said while biting his lip. He wasn't used to spending this much money, but he guessed that's how it would be from here on out. He no longer lived alone, so that much could be expected. "Come on. We need to go pay for this stuff now. Then you can come home with me!" he explained.

He then walked up to the counter and paid for everything. He picked up his new Neko and all his things and walked out the door. He didn't live too far from here. His apartment was maybe a block or two away. "Pay attention to where we're going, Azure. In case you get lost, you know just where to go," he told him.

After about twenty or so minutes, they arrived at the apartments. They definitely the higher end apartments, there was about six floors. He walked inside and quickly made his way into the elevator. He lived on the fourth floor. He put his bags down and looked down at Azure. "Why don't you press the button? It's that one you see?" he suggested as he pointed at a button that had a big four on it.

He let out a soft purring noise as the other agreed to buy him the treats; but soon put on a scowling face; for he didn't want to show that this made him happy. Revealing his emotions wasn't something he liked to do often; trotting over to stand beside Ryota. He walked beside him; on all fours, but slowly got a bit more accustomed to walking on two legs, for crawling wasn't his thing. He scowled slightly; making sure to show the other that he was upset; although he really wasn't. He hissed slightly as the other picked him up, nipping him but soon settling down. He didnt want to seem too aggressive.

As they arrived at the elevator; Azure batted at the number that he pointed to, wondering if this was some kind of game as he continued to bat at the specific number; liking how it lit up.

  • Ryota chuckled as the neko began to repeatedly bat at the button. "I think that's enough. You don't want to break it,"he laughed. After a few seconds the door slowly began to close. Then it began to move up slowly, the bright neon red numbers on the top of the doors counting up to four. The doors opened with a quick ding. He walked out and there was a pretty long hallway. The carpets were crimson red and there was doors lined up throughout the hall. "We have to be quite here. We don't want to bother anyone else living here," he explained as he walked up to his door. Ryota put down the neko and the bags and fished out his keychain from his pocket. He then opened the door and motioned for Azure to go inside first.

  • He batted at his face, pouting as he stopped pressing the buttons. He jumped slightly at the 'ding', we his ears were quite sensitive to noises. But he knew it signaled that they were close to his owners home, which was definitely a good sign. He soon saw the hallway; immediately imagining himself darting down the hallway, but stood still in the others arms. He awaited until they got to the door, and for the male to let him down, before darting within the place.

  • Ryota closed the door behind him with the bags in his hands and set them down at the kitchen table. He watched with a smile as Azure began to explore the place. The living room was pretty spacious and had an impressive plasma tv. That was his most prized possession, he had spent years saving up it and lived to show it off to his teammates whenever they came over. He opened up the bag of treats he had just brought for Azure and shook them. H"Do you want one of your treats? I think we should start to get to know each other," he said with a grin.

He sat on the kitchen chair and teasingly shook the bag within Azure's eyesight. The little neko looked like he would be hard to talk to, but what neko couldn't be swayed by food?

  • [center]

Currently; Azure was looking for furniture; particularly, furniture to tear the fluff out of. He saw the TV, bounding over to it and settling in front of it. He had seen TV's before; but not as large or as cool as the one he saw now. He stared in awe; batting at it a bit with his paws. He was a very curious cat; not usually this energetic. His ears perked when he heard the word 'treats', and darted over.

"Yes!" He exclaimed; before resuming his more stoic nature.

  • Ryota handed over a fish-shaped treat to Azure, it did not smell great to him. It must be a heavenly smell to his neko though. "Azure? What do you like to do?" he asked curiously. He wanted to know so he could be more comfortable around him. Ryota did not want just himself to have fun with Azure. They should both enjoy each other.

He leaned in closer to the little neko, h"I'll tell you about myself too okay? Where should I start? Oh right! My name!" he exclaimed. H"My name is Ryota Akimoto. And I like to play soccer and I work at a candy store," he explained. He looked over to Azure, who was munching on his treat enthusiastically.

    "Your turn," he smiled patiently.

  • [center]

He caught it within his small jaws; eating it quickly; purring at the magnificent taste. It smelled good to him, too. The neko glanced at the other; before heaving a sigh of exhaust, "Since you are my owner now, I suppose I could tell you," He huffed in a pristine tone, "I like... treats," He spoke; puffing out his chest. He got slightly flustered as the male got closer; but attempted to hide this.

"Ryota..." The neko murmured; rolling the name over his tongue a couple of hundred of times, "Well, I-I'm sure you already know my name, but after treats, I like...." He paused. "Balls," His face turned red as he realized how that sounded; "Like the ones you play with...." He facepalmed, "I mean the ones like in soccer, like tennis balls, or some kind of small ball... Balls of yarn!" He exclaimed

  • Ryota laughed as he heard Azure's stammer. "Balls of yarn, huh? I could get you one soon," he chuckled. "What about food? My favorite food will have to be curry or tempura!" He added spacing out for a bit just thinking about his favorite meals. Unfortunately Ryota can't cook, he could probably set a bowl of cereal on fire somehow.

So he goes out to eat on a daily basis or buys convenience store food. Not the healthiest food, but it does the job. Completely out of it, he reached his hand into the bag of treats and took a bite of one.

    Blargh!

Immediately, he knew the horrible mistake he had made. He stood up and ran to the sink and began to spit out the treat he had just eaten. He walked back over to the table slowly with a pale-ish face. "Don't you ever let me eat one of your treats. It definitely is not for humans," he groaned.
