    - [color=white]Narrative

Waiting at the animal shelter was almost agonizing. Itsuki wondered what was taking the clerk so long to arrive with the Neko he'd picked out. He was finally going to be the proud owner of his very own Neko! No more would he have to suffer the loneliness he felt often. Being sick most of his life, he'd spent hours alone in his room. But now, he would have someone to spend that time with; never mind the fact they weren't even human. He almost groaned as he exaggeratingly laid his head on the edge of the counter.

  • Finally, the clerk arrived with a short male neko. He was pretty damn short, but nekos did indeed grow fast. Next year he would be in his human twenties, so next month he might become around 14. The black-haired neko had the largest, fluffiest ears and a long tail, multiplying his adorableness. "Nyaaaa!" the clerk had to practically drag the neko away from his cage and was obviously struggling. Nekos were humans with many cat properties but still could speak the human language, which is why they were sold as pets. The clerk let go of the leash, handing it to the teen boy as the little neko tripped over his own tail and hissed softly, getting up and folding his arms. He wore a hoodie and jeans, pretty basic really. "Hmph." The neko huffed, looking away. "Here you go sir, but are you sure you want this one..? Hes been returned quite a few times." The clerk mentioned, unphasing the neko.

Itsuki sighed in relief seeing the clerk finally arrive with his Neko. His face brightened seeing the little guy. He thought he was cute from his pictures, but seeing him in real life just solidified how much he wanted to hug him. He smiled at the Neko for a second before realizing he was struggling. Aww he's probably just shy! He thought this while taking the leash from the handler's hand.

He did wonder why he'd been returned. But he knew that if he gave him a wonderful home and loved him, that he would warm up to him in no time? Right? [color=#ffa0d6]"That's fine. He'll just need extra care then."

  • "Well.. Er.. Alright then sir. Just sign here" The clerk handed the boy a paper whilst backing away from the neko whom huffed, looking at the other little cages around the ares with dogs, cats, and nekos. He then began to try and walk away, but because of his long tail he tripped and fell on his face in the most adorkable way. He whined and got up, holding his nose in light pain. "Ugh" He grumbled softly, rubbing his nose and rolling his eyes.

[color=#ffa0d6]"Are you alright?" Itsuki had quickly crouched down to the Neko and helped him up. He admitted to himself that it was a bit cute how clumsy he was, but wouldn't say that outloud. He couldn't wait to take him home; he'd already set up his room so that his new pet could be comfortable. He hoped he would like it, as he spent at least a whole day gathering everything. After helping him he signed the paper immediately, since he'd already read online about taking care of a Neko.

  • "I'm fine." He said rudely, looking away and folding his arms. His voice was sweeter than a drop of honey from the richest beehive. His ears slicked down against his head as though someone had dumped water on his head, obviously irritated with his clumsyness. Nekos were a tad difficult, since they could speak their mind. Most people ended up thinking of them as people after a while instead of pets, but they also could be put into slavery, which was aweful. Neko could have differing abilities, they could be speedy, some were telekenetic, and so forth. But the rarest breed was the breed that could heal with their own blood. Those were put on the black market for millions, and were extravagantly rare. And endangered, actually. Luto closed his eyes and sighed, waiting for them to leave. For such a young neko, he seemed incredibly developed mentally.

After finalizing that this Neko was his, Itsuki wrapped the leash around his own hand and took the Neko back to his car. He'd grabbed a blanket at the last minute, thinking that maybe he would get cold. He'd cleared a special place for him, but realized that he was too small to have all that room by himself. He opened the car door for him politely, despite the irritated look on the Neko's face.

[color=#ffa0d6]"S-So, Luto, right?" He said, trying to break the silence as the car began to drive off. [color=#ffa0d6]"I can't wait to show you the house!"

He laughed a bit awkwardly. He made the environment comfortable, but was not as skilled of a speaker. He himself didn't look at Luto.

  • Luto just stared out the window, boredom and irritation flooding over his eyes. Something obviously put him off because he seemed quite a bit more than ticked. "Yea.. Whatever." He grumbled, gently pressing his forehead upon the window and gazing out in silence, watching as the buildings passed swiftly. He had a grudge against most humans, but that was a story for another time that did not need to be discussed in the present moment.

Itsuki frowned a bit with his response. They continued in silence for the rest of the drive, as he was too shy to say anything else. When they pulled up to his house, he opened the door for the Neko and led him inside. He thought that maybe he would open up more if he showed him where he would be staying. [color=#ffa0d6]"You're going to like the stuff I got you!"
Itsuki smiled and brought Luto up to his room quickly.

  • Luto followed the human reluctantly before seeing his room and thinking for a second before sitting in the window ceil and looking out for a second before looking back at the human boy. He was kindhearted.. Nope, no way Luto. Don't you dare go and smile to a human! Those scum are not worth it! Luto just glanced back at the window in silence, waiting for the human boy to say something.

A wide array of toys had been bought for the Neko. Many cat-like toys, and also some toys that were recommended specifically for Nekos (by the store clerk, of course). He had also bought some welcoming candy. A small bed had been prepared for him. "Is there anything you wanted to do? Oh, maybe I should let you get situated first..."
