  • Aaron Grey
    19
    Affectionate | Imaginative | Curious
    Adopting: Kumori ;D

Aaron walked down the quiet city streets, observing his new home with curiosity. It was only a week ago that he moved into the big city to attend a college in which he received a full scholarship. Having some spare time on his hands for a while, he decided to explore the vast streets that were filled with interesting shops and people. The young male looked around in awe, unable to believe that he was stepping foot in the city of his dreams. His ruby colored eyes gazed around before they locked on one store in particular. It was a small pet store, the outside decorated with lovely green plants and flowers and even had little bowls of various pet food for stray animals that happen to come around.

While living in his new apartment space on his own, he's grown a quite lonely, as he has never lived on his own before and found the silence a little scary for him. He missed having another being around the house, someone to talk to and to have around him. Ever since he was a kid, he had wanted a pet, specifically a Neko. They always fascinated him and he knew so many who had one or two of their own. All nekos were different, no two being the same. Maybe, just maybe, this shop had some? Curious as to what may be inside, he stepped into the small shop where a little bell rang upon his entrance. He was greeted by a friendly employee and Aaron returned a friendly greeting, stating he was just looking around.

The young male walked around the store, looking at all the interesting little displays they had before he froze. In large glass rooms in the walls of the store there were nekos, several in fact, all appearing at different colors and ages. Aaron's face brightened with joy and he walked over to the displays, a smile on his lips as he slowly looked at all of them. I can't believe they actually have them here! They can't be too hard to take care of...Maybe I could actually have a friend of my own at my apartment? It wouldn't feel so lonely anymore, right? He thought to himself, scanning them curiously before his eyes settled on one in particular. They appeared...shy and rather hesitant in what they did. They seemed so confused and scared, Aaron's face softening as he watched them for a moment, in awe at every little movement they made. Then, he looked away, bringing a finger to his lip as he thought for a moment. Think about it. You're adopting a pet, this won't be easy you know. But it will certainly be a journey for us both. I want to see...He thought to himself before he looked over his shoulder and smiled kindly at the store clerk, whom was actually the owner. "Hello? Excuse me? I was wondering about this little guy here, is he for sale?" Aaron asked kindly, looking back at the young neko in the case.

[ I love him! c: tysm again for joining! ]

The shop owner was a kind young man and woman; siblings. They had run the shop together for quite a while. For hope to gain customers in the somewhat busy city around them, they tried their very best to make their Pet Shop aesthetically pleasing and welcoming to the residents of this area. Although the small shop wasn't what you could call 'popular' , it was far from being run-down or close to having to close for good. They got enough customers to atleast pay their finances, and get a little extra out of it too. They were both thinking to continue to run this shop for a while; like an adoption center more than a pound. With much less paperwork, of course. As well as both quite liked to offer hospitality to the pets within their shop; and give them as much comfort as possible. As well as make them appear to be 'all that' and most definitely sellable. The nekos within their shops all had different personalities; so that was another thing when it came to selling. The ones sold easier were usually those the most well-behaved and friendly, unfortunately for the rest.

In a particular cage sat one of the shyest nekos, a non-purposely shy neko at that. He was quite timid as well as tentative in just about everything he did. His case was big enough so that he could pace around; but it made him feel slightly uncomfortable that the case was indeed see-through. Seeing another neko below him scared him slightly, as if the cage would break somehow and cause him to fall atop the other and have the other scratch him alarmingly. That, most certainly, was not a good thought. He was impeccably afraid of everyone; causing some potential owners to pick a more extroverted neko than himself. It was a little degrading; but what could he do?

He now heard a chime of the door opening; and his ears perked. His eyes fixed on the male walking into the shop, but looked away as he looked at him. Kumori continued to act as he usually did, finally curling up as he could hear the male speak, perhaps to the owners of the store. Which currently, the female was there at the moment. She walked over; examining Kumori for a moment.

"That one? " She pointed to Kumori; before smiling, "Indeed he is! If you want to adopt him, theres just a bit of paperwork you need to sign," She spoke, holding out the said papers.

  • OOC: Aww thank you! I'm glad you like him ^.^ I'm very excited to see where this thread goes :D

The young male looked at each Neko curiously, looking what they did in the rather nice space they had been provided by the friendly shop owners. He didn't know exactly what he wanted. All looked so sweet and he wished he could adopt them all. But for the sake of space, time, and the money he had available as a college student, it would be best to adopt one for now. Finally, his eyes settled on the shyest one amongst all the other nekos. Though it would be nice to have one that was cheerful or playful, Aaron saw something in this Neko that he didn't see in the others. The way they hesitated with every move, the way they curled up in their enclosure, it made him feel rather that such an innocent, wonderful being could have so much fear. Instantly, he felt drawn to the young Neko, wanting to care and raise it as his own to show it no harm, but rather love and kindness.

As the lovely shop owner came over, Aaron smiled widely with anticipation, unable to really believe what he might be doing. Was he really going to buy a Neko today? He never really planned on it, he was not truly prepared to have a pet in his apartment. But he just couldn't let an opportunity like this slip through his hands. Upon hearing that the Neko was up for adoption, Aaron grinned and looked back into the case, reading the little label on the glass that read his name. Kumori...What a wonderful name. He thought happily to himself, looking at the woman with a smile. "I think I might just do that." He replied happily, walking over with her to the counter so he could fill out the paperwork. He grabbed a pen from the little container and began to write down the needed information. "So...I've never really owned a Neko before...How do you take care of them exactly?" Aaron asked her sweetly with a soft giggle, feeling a little silly since he should now the basic information before going right into an adoption.

    [ As am I c: ]

Each neko was so obviously different; however, indeed, this one was a bit different from the rest. The others seemed to be much less timid; much less frightened, and it seemed rather odd that he was one of the only ones that seemed to be genuinely scared. Even when there wasn't a potential owner around, he seemed skittish about just about everything. The difference from him and some of the other presumed 'shy' was that he wasn't pretending, or just blatantly trying to 'play hard to get'. He was simply like he was, and he couldn't bring himself to change that. He was also very distrusting, which made him one of the least likely to be bought by a person. Which was quite unfortunate, so to say; especially as the owners of the shop watched people stare at him, finding him aesthetically pleasing, and then choosing another neko with a more playful personality.

"That's great!" The female exclaimed happily; looking over to Kumori with an excited glance. She stood beside him at the counter; pondering for a moment before giving a response. "Good question," She murmured; rocking on the heels of her feet. "Its different from each Neko as to how you take care of them, exactly, but the basics are that you should feed them two to three times a day, with perhaps snacks, of course. Give them water, and bathing them is important too. Although most will give you a hard time about it, hygiene for them is important. As well as you need to keep strict on your rules, with penalties included. If there are penalties to breaking a rule that the neko dislikes; they'll most likely keep from doing it again. As well as if you're feeling up to it, giving them treats if they're good..." And then she shrugged, chuckling a bit, "However, beyond that, I can't dictate anything else,"

  • OOC: As we go on, did you have any interesting plot ideas for what we could have happen in the thread? I have a few that you might like, but I would love to hear any that you might have first :D

So many emotions rushed through Aaron with every passing second. He was really doing this, he was really going to have a pet. Oh the thought made him very excited, he has been wanting a pet neko for so many years and now the time had finally come. Now that he had moved out of his parents home, it made room for more freedoms and responsibilities. They were oddly strict on him, not in a mean way of course, for they had raised him very well and were some of the sweetest parents in the world. His parents just didn't believe a pet needed to be in the household. Now however, he was on his own and can make his own decisions, starting with today where he will now be raising a neko..

Aaron grinned happily with excitement at her words, chuckling a little at how happy she was. It always brightened his day to see another happy face. He filled out all the information that was needed, deciding to keep the neko's name since he rather liked it very much. He listened attentively, glancing up at the kind woman as she spoke about taking care of the new neko. He smiled widely and gave an assuring nod. "I couldn't be more excited, I've wanted one for years...This one really seems to need affection.." He stated happily, looking over at the young neko once more. He wasn't judging the woman for taking care of the nekos, as he was sure she and the other owner took fantastic care of all the pets inside this shop. But all animals come from all kinds of different backgrounds like humans do, and are all different from their appearance to their personality. He wondered if something possibly happened that made this Neko so afraid, but he had high hopes that he would be able to help them overcome their fear...

After a few more things, he soon filled out all the paperwork and he happily handed it back to the woman. "Alright, I think I'm good!" He said sweetly, looking over at the Neko with a warm, friendly gaze. He couldln't wait to stand with them face to face, wondering what it will be like to have them at his home..

[ currently, I have no plot ideas in mind, but if you do, that's absolutely wonderful! I'd love to hear them as well as execute them c: ]

The neko now stared at him; sending him a shy glance as he could overhear them talking. He didn't know why this male wanted him; for no one else seemed to take interest in having such a timid creature as a pet. Ironically; he was the most like a kitten that hadn't grown up with anyone; afraid. Or the most like a cat. In which, when cats or kittens are bought, they are usually shy and distrusting of their owners. But unbeknownst to the customers, probably, they eventually grew on their owners; and were very loving. Most cats, anyways. Not all, but most, as long as their owners treated them nicely of course. He still couldn't think of why this boy wanted him; What was it about him that was so special. What was it about him that made him special, in a way, and different from the others? So far, he just thought his differences were bad, and they were the reason no one had wanted him before this day. He was scared of those around him, and still, he couldn't really change that. He had been brought to this shop about 6 months ago, and within that timespan, deterring on how popular nekos were, he'd have thought atleast someone would buy him. However, no one had. Until this day, that is. He couldn't be sure what type of owner the male was going to be; so he simply remained cautious and examined him as best as he could. As the other gave him a smile; he had a look of fright within his eyes, and embarrassment, for he had been staring at the other. He quickly looked away; curling up.

"Indeed he does," The owner chuckled slightly, "I'm actually quite glad you've chosen that one in particular. With the timid vibe he gives off; potential buyers seem to not care for having to deal with that," She spoke in a bit of a sad tone. She soon gave him a warm smile as he handed her the papers; and she took them. "You're all set! There are the needed supplies within this shop, so if you don't have the necessities, look around!" She soon walked over to the quite large that held the shy neko within it; picking it up and handing it to the male. "Although he's humanoid, he's quite light, and its easier to keep him in here for travel because he won't be able to run off. As well as theres a harness attached the handle, for whenever it's needed,"

  • OOC: Well I thought it would be really cute if maybe as Kumori begins to grow a little more comfortable with Aaron, he will begin to get a little clingy with him in an adorable way. As in when Aaron leaves somewhere, he will be a little scared and when Aaron gets back, he is really excited to see him. I thought it would be cute if maybe one night there is a huge thunderstorm and Kumori panics and goes into Aaron's room and asks if he can sleep with him and this will be the first time they sleep with one another ^.^ Just having little moments where Aaron tries to comfort and show affection to Kumori would be incredibly adorable ^.^ I also want to possibly have a moment where maybe Kumori asks Aaron why he adopted him out of all the others and this will allow Aaron to explain his backstory and why he is the way that he is. It would be really nice to hear about Kumori's backstory too :) Those are just a couple ideas, the others I'm still trying to develop :D

Aaron and the Neko almost appeared as complete opposite. Kumori was very shy and hesitant with everything, frightened by a smile or a single glance from another being. While Aaron was a very open person and loved getting involved in new things, having new experiences and meeting new people. He hoped that by taking in the precious Neko, he could show him that the world wasn't so scary as it may seem. Aaron should know, he was once like Kumori after all...

By giving them a simple smile, Aaron frowned as they quickly became frightened and curled up in their enclosure. He noticed they had been staring at him, probably out of curiosity but were quickly filled with fear simply by Aaron looking back at them. He turned his attention back to the shop owner when she spoke, giving a warm smile since he felt glad that he was the one out of most buyers to take the neko in. "Well I believe everyone needs to be shown some positivity...I'm really glad that I can be the one to take him in. I'd take all of them if I could.." He replied sweetly, glad that he could help at least one Neko who was in need. Once all the paperwork was finished, he grinned and looked around the shop, thinking he could get some nice toys for the Neko to play with, maybe some special treats. He knew they couldn't eat everything that humans did, but it would be nice to give some special treats to the Neko to make him feel better. Maybe when he has the Neko at his house, he can come in and buy some new toys and treats to surprise them. He planned on going out tomorrow morning while they were asleep, then surprise them with some new goodies for them to enjoy.

Aaron watched curiously as she grabbed the container that held the Neko, Aaron's eyes slightly widening in surprise at how light the box was. He hadn't expected to be able to carry it so easily. He listened to her words as he looked up with a smile before looking back at the Neko and smiled in a soothing way. He gently set the box down for a moment, pulling out his wallet and pulled out the money needed to pay. He handed her the bills with a smile, "You can keep the change. I know it helps everyone out a little." He said kindly, knowing the extra money can certainly contribute to the small shop, whether for the animals, new supplies, or simply the wonderful shop owners themselves. He reached down and picked up the case with the Neko. "Thank you so much. Have a nice day you two!"Aaron said happily to the two shop owners before he headed out of the store, knowing that it was getting late and that he had to get back to his apartment which was just a short walk down the street.

He carried the box with great care, making sure to hold it as still as possible to comfort the young neko inside. They walked into a beautiful neighborhood, the buildings close together, the streets lined with tall trees and plants. The apartments were sort of like their own individual homes, but were owned by another person in which Aaron pays rent to monthly. He walked up the steps to his apartment and reached into his pocket, pulling out the key to the front door before stepping inside. "Home sweet home." He said softly with a smile, slipping off his shoes by the front door and walked inside, turning on the lights. Though he was still in the process of moving in, the apartment was so cozy and inviting. He walked over and set the case down in the living room, sitting on the floor and slowly opened up the door to let the Neko out. "I know this must be really different to you. It's probably been a while since you've had a larger space like this to stay in huh?" He spoke kindly, smiling at the scared Neko as he crossed his legs and sat beside the box, not forcing the Neko to come out, deciding to let them come out whenever they were comfortable. "My name's Aaron by the way...And you are..?" He asked in such a calm, friendly tone. Aaron's ruby eyes had such a warmth to them, his own eyes smiling whenever he smiled, an occasional dimple showing up on his cheek. He knew their name already, but thought it would be nice if they introduced themselves, wanting to get the shy Neko comfortable with talking to him.

OOC: I'll post pictures of Aaron' apartment in a moment :D

  • [center]

[ My heart is throbbing that sounds so adorable o: . I'm definitely going to have that happen once Kumori grows a little more comfortable with Aaron; I love it so much Like ahh, those are super cute >//< ]

The neko fidgeted slightly as he was practically in the air; scrabbling around a bit as he couldn't tell his sense of direction. Which in turn, made it a bit uncomfortable; but he would bear with it. He needed to grow accustomed to this; for he would probably be in the 'cage-like rectangular thing', as he called it, for a little while; and suspended in the air. So being in the most uncomfortable position would prove to be highly uncomfortable. Which is the reason he attempted to curl up; having the needed flexibility to be able to do it without it looking strange or him being unable to go through with it.

The owner once again continued to show a genuine, warm smile. "Indeed that is true," She leaned back; pondering for a moment before continuing once more, and chuckling, "I'm glad you could take him in too..." Her eyes widened slightly as he handed her the needed money; and she took it gratefully, "Bless you, and have a wonderful day! Come back anytime!" And with that, she turned to walk away; greeting every new customer that entered the shop; feeling a bit more giddy inside than usual. Kumori... Your day has finally come....

Kumori heaved a small sigh of relief as he was set down, giving him a time to readjust within the slightly cramped space; which relieved him. He stayed as silent as he could, being able to smell new and some frightening animals around made him really not want to alert where he was. Although he was probably safe within his case; he couldn't help but being afraid of the outside world. He examined the beautiful neighborhood with awe; narrowing his eyes so he could examine every last inch. Soon, he had closed his eyes; waiting for the 'ride' to be over. He felt his kennel being set down, as well as opened. He shied away from the other male and pressed his back up against his uncomfortable cage-like structure; his ears drooping slightly and his pupils dilated. As soon as the male spoke; his ears perked a bit, as the males voice didn't sound hostile at all. He listened; replaying the words within his mind. Naturally, he wouldn't have responded; but Aaron just sounded so kind, so gentle... But even as he wanted to respond quickly, he knew his words were tentative. "K-kumori..." He spoke in a quiet tone; staring at Aaron now with a bit more of a frightened look.

  • OOC: Aww yay I'm glad you loved them! ^.^ I cant wait to do them in the story ^.^ I was thinking maybe we can have the backstory one come up first because I feel like if Kumori knew that Aaron had once been like him, it will make him feel a little better and more comfortable being around him ^.^

Aaron understood that the Neko must be petrified in this moving cage, wondering how long it has been since they had a proper home or if they ever had one at all. He couldn't wait to show them his new apartment, they will love it there. At least when they get used to it. It will certainly be a strange experience, living your life in a small pet shop, only to be moved to having a big apartment between you and someone else.

As he paid for his new pet, Aaron couldn't find himself to stop smiling. He was so excited, eager to let them out of the cage and into their new home. The shop owner was just lovely, it warmed his heart to see them so happy for Kumori. When he left, he gave a friendly wave to the woman before leaving the small shop with a light chime of the bell from the door.

Finally, they made it to his apartment, a few boxes still here and there that had yet to be unpacked. He's just been so busy trying to figure out things with his college that it was a little time consuming. He does have a few days though to himself, which gave him plenty of time to bond with his new friend. As he set the box down, he moved a little so that he sat several feet in front of the box, allowing Kumori to have room to get out while also being able to see Aaron from inside. He gazed at them with warm, curious eyes, a smile on his lips as he gave a light tilt of his head, showing so much kindness to the frightened neko. He grinned when they spoke their name, yet knew by their tone they were still incredibly uneasy and scared. "That's a wonderful name..." He replied happily, moving his dark red bangs away from his eyes for a moment before speaking. "You don't have to be afraid..I won't hurt you in any way, I promise...." Aaron comforted, smiling as he reached forward and lightly pat the dark wood floor in front of him. "It looks a little cramped in there...Would you like to come out here with me? There's nothing to be afraid of.." He explained, smiling at the male as he hoped they would come out of the tight cage, wanting them to see his apartment and to be able to feel better about where he was.

  • [center]

    [ me neither ^w^ . Yeah that sounds good to me ^^ c: ]

The neko continued to crouch as he was carried along; many memories flying by. He had never been a part of a good home, merely taken from facility to facility. There was one time where... He'd rather not remember it. His experiences with humans and potential owners had always been rather bad; and not spending enough time around them caused him to act this way. And he wasn't exactly fond of other nekos. There were a few, but a lot simply intimidated him too much for him to try to communicate with them. As well as he was usually an easy target for bullying, so he tried to not have to talk to others as much as he could. Which is why, to this day, he has a limited vocabulary and is very socially awkward.

He stared up with a now less scared and more hopeful gaze towards his new owner; his ears perking. "R-really? You won't h-hurt me...?" He spoke in yet another fidgety tone; staring innocently towards Aaron. He continued to shake slightly; however, feeling a bit comforted by the males words, and willing to try new things; he slowly crept out of the kennel. However, out of instinct, he immediately darted towards the nearest place where he could hide; having accidentally stepped on something that made a loud noise.

  • OOC: When do you think we should have that happen? Maybe later in this night possibly? :)

Aaron was slightly tempted to have asked the woman at the store about why the Neko was so shy, but thought maybe it would be nice to wait and figure it out for himself from the Neko. Plus with how frightened the young male was, he wouldn't believe it if he had told anyone at all what his past was like. Hopefully, with comfort and time, he can get the small neko to open up, maybe it would even make him feel better?

Aaron's face slowly brightened up when he saw their cute, little ears perk up and how their eyes showed less and less fear. He gave an assuring nod with a warm smile on his lips. "Of course...I would never, ever hurt you.." He replied sweetly, seeing the innocence in their eyes. The way they spoke made Aaron wonder more and more what had happened in their past. Was he abused? Did he not spend time around humans much? What could have happened that turned such an innocent being to be so frightened of everything around him?

As they slowly crept out of the tunnel, Aaron smiled and held out his hand a little. "See?...It's okay...Nothing to be a-.." He spoke softly, before he cut himself off as the frightened Neko ran off into the hallway into his bedroom, the small flinching when he heard something break. He got up and looked down the hallway to where the Neko had run off to, knowing he was in his bedroom. Yet he looked down and frowned when he saw what had been broken. It was a picture frame, holding a small photo that had been taken on an old polaroid camera. The figures in the picture were of Aaron when he was about 10 years old, and an elderly woman smiling at him as they appeared to be dancing together in a home, several children around them dancing as well, grins and happiness all over their faces.."At least it was just the frame.." He said softly in relief, smiling as he carried it over and set it down on the counter.

Aaron didn't want to bother the neko, wanting him to look around the house on his own. He smiled softly and went into the kitchen, deciding to prepare some dinner. Maybe the smell of something good will draw the Neko out of hiding? He got out some dishes and some colorful ingredients, deciding to make some pasta salad for the both of them. He began to boil some chicken, cut slices of cucumber, tomato's, and sliced some avocado. He hummed and even sang a little as he did so, preparing dinner for the two of them, hoping that Kumori would come out soon..

  • [center]

    [ sure! ]

The Neko's eyes seemed to brighten as the male replied; making him let out a shaky sigh of relief. He won't hurt me, he won't hurt me... He's a nice person, very nice person... He kept replaying over and over in his mind. He knew Aaron did not have ill intentions; or did he? Honestly, he couldn't be sure. People could fake their personalities, but Aaron seemed so... real. As if there was no way he was faking or lying. Which made the Neko feel a whole lot better; and even going as far as to possibly try to not be as tentative. However, he knew there'd have to be a lot of work to put in if he was ever going to fully trust his new owner. Even if he did seem as if he would never be bad; you could never tell for sure. Which worried Kumori a bit. Realizing he was overthinking this; he decided to put the thoughts away, and crawl out of the kennel. However, when attempting to do so, his fidgety movements caused him to be startled and run off; going as far as to accidentally breaking something. The loud crashing sound made him even more frightened and skittish, jumping underneath what he assumed to be Aaron's bed. His body shook as he saw what he had broken; fear and terror within his eyes.

"I-I'm sorry.. P-please don't hurt me..." He pleaded in a soft tone; and it would be easy to tell that he was on the verge of tears.

  • Not long after he had set the frame down, he grew a little worried and decided to go check on Kumori. He stepped out of the kitchen and went into his bedroom. "Kumori? Where did you go?" He asked in a kind voice, looking around before he could hear sniffles and whimpering from under his bed, getting down and laid on his stomach so that he could look at Kumori. His eyes widened when he saw how petrified he was, seeing how silver tears glistened in his eyes like drops of rain. It broke Aaron's heart to see someone so sweet feel so afraid, they thought he was going to hurt him..

"Shh...Shhh no its okay...Kumori...You didn't do anything wrong.." Aaron spoke in a soft, comforting tone, looking at Kumori's eyes, feeling so bad that he had frightened the poor thing. "Hey...Look at me.." He murmured gently as he reached forward and very softy caressed the male's cheek, stroking his soft skin with his thumb. "I would never hurt you no matter what you did...I promise I won't...That's not who I am as a person and.. I could never hurt you or anybody else...I don't know what you have been through but..I promise I will take care of you...okay?" He explained sweetly, bringing his hand up a little and gently moved Kumori's soft bangs away from his eyes. A loving smile was on his lips as he gazed at Kumori's scared eyes, wanting him to come out from under his bed. "Do you want to come out with me?...I'm making some dinner I think you would like." He said happily, wishing he could spend some time with Kumori..

  • [center]

He felt himself quiver in fear; What did I do, what did I do? He felt even more nervous than before; and that was saying a lot. He had almost never been this terrified in his life, and immediately regret darting away from the male. What is he going to do me? Is he gonna hurt me? He could feel his eyes start to tear up as he imagined the many scenarios that could indeed happen. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." He continued to repeatedly whisper, sobbing. His ears flattened and his tail swished in fear as the rest of his body trembled violently. Memories began to flash before his eyes and he shook even more, if that was physically possible. He felt like he was having a panic attack, while repeating those same two words, over and over again. He blinked as he now heard the male; attempting for him to reach underneath his bed and pull him out, but instead, spoke in such a soothing tone. "P-please, don't..." He stopped himself as he heard exactly what Aaron said, and his trembling began to cease.

"Y-you're not... mad?" He stuttered nervously; eyeing the other with tearful eyes. The male shied slightly away as the other male reached forward; still slightly afraid, but soon tentatively stopped shying away, and allowed him to caress his cheek. He still felt terribly shy, but felt much better about his new owner. Even leaking tears of relief; before slowly and skittishly crawling out. "F-food would be nice..." He spoke shyly; avoiding eye contact as he stood merely a few feet away from the other.

  • Aaron's heart felt nearly shatter when he saw how emotional Kumori was. He hadn't done anything wrong, he just accidentally broke the glass on a frame, something that could easily be fixed. When he knelt down onto the dark wooden floors of his bedroom, he looked forward and was only met with pure petrified eyes, filled with tears and the fear of being hurt. What had Kumori gone through? He's so scared, he won't stop shaking. What happened to you...

"Of course I'm not mad..Kumori, I break things all the time on accident. I know you didn't mean it, accidents happen. Even if you had meant to break it, I wouldn't be mad. You don't ever have to worry about me getting mad at you.." He cooed, smiling at the sweet Neko as he tried his best to comfort him. The poor thing looked as if he was about to pass out...A warm smile came to his lips that made his eyes perk with joy when they allowed him to caress their cheek, this being the first time he's ever actually touched Kumori this past hour. He saw those faint tears trickle down their cheek, Aaron backing up a little and standing up to allow them to crawl out from under his bed. As they stood, he couldn't help but let out a cute chuckle at the height difference, finding it rather adorable. Kuromi's ears would just touch the bottom of Aaron's chin..."Alright, lets go eat.." He said sweetly as he walked with the innocent Neko into the kitchen. "I wasn't quite sure what kind of food you liked. So I thought I could make you one of my favorite dishes. My Aunt taught it to me when I was a kid." He said happily as he prepared a plate for Kuromi. The food looked absolutely delicious, Aaron certainly was close to the culinary arts. He got a small amount on a plate to start him out, Aaron getting a plate for himself before walking out to the small dining table he had. He set the plates down and went to go get silverware. "Would you like anything to drink? Water, orange juice?" He asked sweetly, looking over his shoulder at the Neko as he got some water for himself.

The neko stared cautiously up at him; looking for any signs that he was lying, and that he was indeed going to hurt him. However, he sensed no such thing; as his ears perked slightly. "T-thank you... for not h-hurting me..." He spoke in a tone that sounded a bit as if he was pleading, in a way. He felt overcome with emotion; such as comfort and affection. Two things he hadn't felt in an entirely long time. He always felt... on edge, timid, discomforted, afraid, traumatic, etc... But he had almost never felt the affection that was rising within him before. He wanted to spend time with Aaron... Be by his side... Cuddle... He felt a slight blush rising within him as he thought these things; not wanting to let the other know how he felt, because he believed that he would be acting too affectionate. He didn't want his new owner to return him; so he didn't want to be overly affectionate to the point of where it would be annoying. But in turn, he would realize; he just couldn't help himself. "A-any food is fine with me..." He murmured, following behind Aaron.

He could smell food; the wonderful aroma of food... He himself was a bit skinny, but more slender than skin and bone. He needed to eat more, that was for sure. He kept by Aaron's side; jumping at the slightest noise as he pressed himself against him.

  • Aaron knew that the young neko must certainly be freaked out by Aaron's affection and comfort. Telling from how the male acted, he's probably never been shown so much affection as he was being shown now. It made him happy however, that he could be the one show him said comfort. Aaron was once in his place, petrified of anything that moved, terrified of the world around him because of how he was treated and raised as a young child. He watched happily as their soft, fuzzy ears slowly perked up, only to hear that soft, lovely voice of theirs. Aaron smiled warmly in response, "You're welcome..Kumori.." He replied sweetly, looking at them for a moment before turning around and began to head off into the dining room.

Aaron did have a bit of free time the next couple days. With that time, he wants to spend time with Kumori, to get to know him and to make him feel less hesitant about everything. He wants them to know that they did not have to be afraid of him or anything else...It was so odd having a neko. They were half cat, half human...Tail, ears, the unique colored eyes, they were so beautiful. Aaron already, from the similarities they shared, felt very drawn to the young male. But he didn't want to freak them out with too much affection of course, even though that's what Aaron wants to do. To show love and kindness, to hold them in his arms until they fell asleep..Was it normal to feel this way towards a Neko...Aaron wasn't exactly sure..

They made their way into the kitchen with one another, Aaron getting the neko a nice cold glass of water to rehydrate him, knowing how badly the male needed his nutrients back in his frail body. While getting him the water, the house slightly creaked and he felt the male press up against him, Aaron's cheeks flaring up pink. They were so close to him, why did it suddenly make his body so...warm? He smiled and looked down at the Neko. "Hey..It's okay...This house is always making little, odd noises.." He said sweetly, looking down at them with soothing eyes. He smiled at the male before he slowly walked back with him to the table, setting the glasses down and sat across from the male, the table not being too too big which allowed Kumori to stay close. "So Kumori..How old are you?" He asked sweetly, beginning to eat his food in small bites, swaying his feet under the table slightly as he gazed at them with a friendly gaze, wanting to get to know the Neko..
