Opening her eyes always seemed to be the hardest part of the day. Her brother wasnt gonna let her miss school no matter what reason it was. She whined as he called for her to come down to breakfast threatening to come up and take her sheets away. She was still groggy so this hit the hard. She sat up letting her legs dangle off the side of her bed. She checked the weather on her phone to see it might rain today so she decided a jacket would be best. She hurried to change hearing her brother approach her door. She slid her jeans on and threw a hoodie on top before throwing open her door to meet a stund older brother. "Breakfast is done" he said holding toast as proof. "I said give me A minute" she replied setting on her bed to put on her socks and shoes. "Alright join me when your done because this is my last day here for a while i have to go over seas for the next few weeks" shane said. "Okay" she said use to him leaving. He left to return to the food.
It didnt take long before Jade followed. Scrambled eggs, toast, chocolate muffin, waffles, suages, and hashbrowns? He was defantily apologizing to her. She muttered a thanks as she sat down to eat, it was a akward silence as they ate. When shane was finished he rensed his plate and hands and patted her head as a good bye. "Want me to drive you?" He asked her almost forgetting. "no thanks" she said going to rense her plate Best to walk this off" she added with a smile. He nodded and without another word left. She decided to start heading so she grabbed her back pack and left the house. She headed towards the only high school on the island. It wassmall and cramped but worked really well. She took her time with the stroll not rushing when the high pitched noise in her ears started. In the noise she could hear muffled talking between to people. She had gone to the local doctor for it several times but he found nothing wrong with her.

Cecil had decided to take his morning a healthy direction. Getting up early to go for a run. He had left the family dog at home sense he planned to go straight to school that morning. He had stopped at the highschool first which was left unlocked for students. Putting his bag In his locker he started his jog. The morning glow gave the grey clouds a beautiful look. The clouds were coming in from the sea telling him the storm may get pretty heavey sense he always left his umbrella at school it would be no problem this afternoon. He crossed mc vicker street where the shops were starting to open and headed for the beach. He shoved a earphone into his ear and played some Ac/Dc just to have a song to motivate him. He was lucky it was a week end coming up hed have to help his mom clean out the guarge though.
Cecil picked up speed to make it in good time. The sand would slow him down a bit and he didnt want to be late. Over the music he heard that sound once again. A loud humming thatsounded like two voices conversing about something. He picked up a few words about trapp and cold. He took his phone out of his pocket to see if maybe he had accadently clicked his radio app. He saw nothing but his music player. He new the voices and humming had come from the song. His phone said he hadent accadently dialed someone so why did it keep happening. He hadent even realized he had stopped at first, he became alarmed realizing he had behind schedual and started running again at full speed this time. Hed have to make it to market street then head over to Alumany road before hed make it back to the highschool and complete the run. He sped up Passing the third corner quickily. As he got closer to the building the high pitched noise settled and he could see a bright blue backpack and long blonde hair. He knew her all to well, Jade was rubbing her ears as well. He figured it might be a virus thats going around.

  • Lissity had been up since dawn, as usual she wasn't able to stay asleep for more then a few minutes. The commotion from downstairs indicated that her family was awake, and the screams told her that the twins were fighting once again. With a sigh, she slipped into a pair of dark jeans and an old green t-shirt that had a koala on it. Looking in the mirrior, she pulled her fiery curls into the usual bun and picked up her blood red lipstick, pasting a layer onto her lips before she gave herself a small smile and left her room. She shouted a quick by to her family as she passed through the kitchen, pulling on her sneakers and grabbing her backpack before she ran out the door. She made her way down the street while looking at the sky, watching as the clouds drifted by. Her one hand was holding her ear, rubbing it as she tried to ignore the sounds that bothered her so, and that were increasingly sounding like voices. It wasn't long before the school was infront of her, beckoning her to class.

  • Jack's eyes darted open, the haunting visions and sounds of his nightmare still echoing in his head, sending a shiver down his spine and forcing a few blinks before the thoughts finally dissipated once more into the subconscious of his mind. Yet another night with endless nightmares, you'd think he was used to it by now, but what he saw still continued to haunt him to his very day. With a loud groan, he stretched his limbs to look at the clock next to him, turning it so that he could gaze upon the screen. "Well... Later than usual..." He muttered, swinging his legs around and forcing his exhausted body into motion. Having rapidly prepared himself for the day ahead, he grabbed the bag prepared at the entrance to his flat and began his journey towards the high school. No doubt his roommates were going to sleep in, they were all slightly older and long out of school. He, however, was an exception to this.

His head snapped backwards as he went to walk into the School, sure he had heard someone calling out from behind him, but alas, behind him were only a few students who seemed to have very little interest in him, and he certainly didn't know any of them. "Did- Did you hear-" He began to no one in particular, furrowing his eyebrows when he received nothing but blank stares and confused glances from most of the students surrounding him.

  • Two brown eyes fluttered open as the morning light slipped between the curtains that covered the window. A mumble escaped the lips of the male that laid there. Shifting his body the male pulled off the heavy covers that were upon him. Pressing his hand gently to the bed he stood up. A tired yawn escaped his lips as he walked over to his closet and began dressing.

Once the male was finished he quickly pressed his hand to the door of his room and exited. Mornings were the worst time of the day, but he got through them. Food usually helped. Walking to his kitchen he popped to pieces of bread into the toaster. Once they were finished he added his preferred topping and began to eat, of course he began to multitask. Quickly he picked up his bag and went outside, only to lock his door behind him.

Nicolas's eyes began to scan the area, his feet steadily hitting the ground as he walked towards the school.

It didn't take him long to reach the school, and finish the food he had grabbed for himself. He never really did eat much, actually today was a rare occasion, often he didn't eat much at all. Then came the voices.

He never really had voices in his head, and it was weird that it was actually happening now. Honestly he didn't expect it to be this... Painful. At this point it kind of bothered him, but like always when he was at school he kept to himself at the moment. Though when he saw other people seeming to have the same problem it sparked his interest. There were only a few that seemed to have been selected for these noises, though he had assumed they were voices from what they sounded like, and if there were more, he couldn't locate them.

Another quick glance around his ears heard something other then the strange noises. Someone was asking if anyone else heard them. Well yes, there was, for a moment he pondered if he should respond with an affirmative, but decided he probably shouldn't shout through the crowd of people. Quickly pacing towards the other male he paused nearby before speaking with his rich voice, "Yeah I heard them." Nicolas didn't say much, it wasn't in his nature to come up with conversations, yet he added the quiet, descriptive word addressed to nobody in particular, "Odd."

  • "Im fine" the voice seemed to be her own. Jade paused lookig around for the source of the voice. "Watch out" cecil said moving to dodge Jade "Sorry." she said. He stopped taking out his earphones "Are you okay?" he asked deciding to walk with her and make sure she wasnt sick. "Fine, thanks for your concern" she said. He walked towards the school next to her wanting to make sure she arrived alright. They walked in silence for the longest time making it feel akward. They arrived at the school with plenty of time. Cecil stopped at his locker pulling out his back and headed up the stairs to the third floor. "finish geomtry homework?" he asked. She nodded "it was easy.." she said her voice trailing off as she seen the chalk board. It read "Open your eyes and look to the sky. The voices and the crys Are your past, the future is approaching fast. " Cecil and Jade read it "well that is one shitty poem" cecil said

  • Lissity made her way into the school building, going to her locker and quickly throwing her things inside. It took her only moments to get up the stairs and walk into her class, colliding into Cecil's back. "Sorry..." She mumbled, as she looked up and rubbed her nose. The words on the board caught her attention, and her gaze shifted to Jade and Cecil. "I thought we were still studying Poe...." She said questioningly, looking back to the board.

  • "Odd..." He repeated, as if Jack were testing how the word fit in his mind, but ended up just giving a slight shrug of his shoulders and a small grin. "I don't think group auditory hallucination is a common, or practically possible thing. Probably just coincidence?" He suggested with a slight shrug of his shoulders, clearly not convinced of it himself but willing to accept it as the explanation until a superior one took the mantle. "We..." He paused for a moment, furrowing his eyebrows. "We share a class now don't we? Sorry, don't really pay attention that much to others in the classes, usually too busy." He explained with a small nod of his head, as if trying to reinforce the principle idea into his mind. At this, Jack spun on his foot and began to walk into the school once more, beckoning for a moment for the boy to follow him. "Name's Jack." He told him, beginning to walk over to the lockers and quickly messing about in his own, grabbing a book or two out but otherwise leaving it untouched.

At a closer inspection, it's pretty obvious that Jack hadn't been sleeping well, with small but clear signs of exhaustion beginning to form underneath his eyes, growing heavy with the lack of sleep. He was aware of this appearance, but there wasn't much he could do about it right now, and, his lack of sleep might also explain why he heard he strange sounds earlier. Perhaps they weren't voices, but sounds his half asleep, delirious mind had conjured.

Needless to say, he still was not convinced.

  • Cecils eyes went wide the force took him by surprise a little and he jumped. B]"Its okay"[/b] he said. Jade surpressed the urg to laugh at him. "This guys Deffinatily not a poe-t" cecil said making his pun. Jade sat her stuff down and picked up the eraser "maybe we should erase it before the teacher sees" She sudgested. In the distant the sound of thunder rolled outside making the lights flicker for a second. the once light grey clouds outside had turned black making it look dark once again outside. The cealing was dripping water. The third floor made up the senior and junior classes. There wasnt many of those because everyone left usually by junior year. "Maybe it was a prank by another class" Jade added. She had forgotten her umberella so she would have to try to wait the storm out today. Cecil grabbed the bucket besides the teachers desk and set it under the leak. "By the way.. did the school seem like unsually empty to all of you?" he asked. He hadnt seen anyone in town and noone heading to school durring his run. They should of at least of been coming out there house. Cecil was alone for the next month at his house. His mom and dad had to go to new york on business. They were CEO's of some company so this never surprised him, christian though had gone to live on campus at a school in california. He was use to being alone but this felt it was to empty and a little creepy.

  • Lissity nodded slightly, agreeing that the town had seemed oddly empty that morning. "There weren't even that many cars out, it was sorta weird..." She admitted, looking around the mostly empty room. "I'm pretty sure we have more then ten people in the school too." She said simply.

    (sorry short post, low muse)

  • Sorry, I have a headache so my writing isn't going to be as great//

The male shook his head steadily in a nod, "Yeah. It's fine though, don't worry about it." Turning on his heel he began to walk behind the other. His brown eyes scanned the area, it seemed to have emptied out a bit now, and it kind of felt a little bit too empty too him. Now he was never one to like crowds, but it just felt weird. "Nice to meet you, Jack." He paused for a moment to rub his ear, "My name is Nicolas, feel free to call me Nick." Rolling his shouldered he flew into a short silence. His eyes moved to look around. Now it just felt way too empty. Rubbing his chin he began to move away, "I'm going to get to class, I usually carry everything with me." Nicolas stated as he walked away slowly.

Not walking far he walked into his class room, eyes locking onto the group that stood near the board. Peering over their heads he examined what they were staring at. Another odd thing, but this time it was a nice poem? Maybe. He stayed quiet for the time being, deciding it would be best not to interrupt their conversation, yet. Though he clearly didn't mind the creepy nature of just standing there and watching.

  • He followed through a few minutes later behind the guy he'd just met, walking into the classroom and stopping behind the guy, furrowing his eyebrows slightly at the realisation they were in the same class, something he hadn't even considered. His eyes scanned at the apparent topic of conversation, raising his eyebrow slightly at the text, shaking his head in a slight disbelief. "You know how I said about coincidence?" He whispered, keeping his voice low. "I think that may have been some bullshit... 'Cause this is pretty fucking coincidental eh?" He muttered, allowing his eyes to scan over the board once more, before turning his attention to the other figures in the room, glancing over them for a few moments.

  • "The office ladys are usually here by now but there not even here yet" he said "Want to go to the teachers lounge and watch the news to see if there was emergency closing or something our tv station usually announces it" jade said going under the teachers desk and pulling out the hidden emergency key. She started to erase some of the text "Hopefully there isnt a hurricane on the way" she added

  • "What if we get in trouble for being in the teacher's lounge?" Lissity asked nervously as she watched the words get wiped from the bored. Her eyes darted to the two new students who entered the room. She started playing with a loose lock of her fiery hair, twirling it around her finger as she simultaneously bit her lip as she waited for an answer from the group. The very thought of getting caught in teacher only zone made her nervous.

  • "No we had a valid reason" she said. She looked at the others. "Well im in i dont wanna be here if a hurricanes headed no offense if its coming this way im going to the main land if i have to swim to do it he said. Jade frowned at the idea of a hurricane. Her brother would come back if he heard anything about one if f he got hurt doing so.

  • Jack's hand darted out to stop the words from being erased, but gave a slightly annoyed sigh when it was, retracting his hand and placing them back in his pockets. "Yeah, because Hurricane's can come out of nowhere." He commented, shaking his head. "Surely we'd know if there was one. It's probably just some dumb training day we've forgotten about." He stated, his accent clearly flowing in his words, frowning shortly after as he tried to think about anything they could have missed. "You can go to the staff room if you want. But it's supposed to be emergencies. This isn't an emergency, this is just a group of bored kids who've forgotten that there's no classes, and now seem to be freaking out about nothing."

    [ ❈ Torrey ❈ ]

OOC: @Blackocean, if the text doesnt show up let me know ^^

IC: "I think if you had plugged your phone into its charger it might have actually charged." Torrey's eyebrows narrowed at the sound of a voice. She lazily opened her eyes, squinting to see a boy sitting on her bed, fiddling with her phone. "Ah, there we go." He straightened up slightly, still peering at her phone. She ran a hand through her mocha locks yawning slightly. "Well, I wonder who's going to be late for school today. Torrey, you can't expect me to trust you to take care of yourself while I'm gone if you cant even get up for school on time."

He held her phone out to show her the time. She choked on her yawn. "Shit." She shoved the covers off herself, swung out of bed and stumbled to the shower.

It wasn't the first time Torrey had 'forgotten to plug her phone in to charge'. In fact, not waking up on time was one of Torreys best attributes. Only today her brother Miles was going away on a trip to surprise their oldest brother Dylan. Dylan had gone off to act a year ago and Miles was going to show up at one of his performances to surprise him. Of course Torrey wasn't allowed to tag along. Missing that much school would screw her up. Miles had promised to bring her along during the summer. Torrey didnt believe he'd hold up to that promise but there was no point in guilt tripping him now. By the time the girl had finished her rushed shower her phone had charged up to 30 percent and Miles's bags were at the front door. She pulled on a grey sweatshirt that had three white strips on the left sleeve and some faded blue jeans.

"You know you wouldn't have to rush like this if you'd just go to sleep on time." Torrey rolled her eyes while grabbing the backpack that Miles held. "I slept." She muttered shrugging the backpack on and sitting on the edge of the couch to tie her converse. "I'll believe it when I see it." She stood up with a huff. "Tell Dill I love em okay?" She gave her brother a hug when a sound suddenly rang in her ears making her freeze slightly, her body tensing. Voices? God, she really needed more sleep then. Her jaw clenched slightly as she released Miles from the embrace. "I will. Now get to school. I'll call you as soon as I land." Torrey nodded at him and turned to go, checking her phone for the current time. "Crap." She rushed out the front door and sprinted her way to school. In her panicked rush she didnt notice the clouds thundering overhead. She wasn't going to notice them now as she sprinted up to the school and up the stairs leading to her homeroom. She skidded to a stop seeing the large group that had formed around the board. Breathing rather heavily now the girl leaned on the wall to regain herself. Her ears still rang so she didn't focus too much on the conversation going on, more on trying to breathe normally. She gathered bits and pieces of the situation at hand but was too confused to put them together.

  • Jaewyn walked through the halls of the school that seemed eerily empty. He hadn't seen any of his friends around either. He was a bit late, but it was clear many students where missing whenever he glanced inside the classrooms as he passed by. A brown haired girl ran past him, undoubtedly trying to rush to class because she was running as late as Jaewyn. He went to call out to her, only to stop himself and grab his ears in pain as a loud ringing noise sounded in his ears. By the time the ringing stop, the girl was already long gone so Jaewyn continued his walk to class, rubbing his ears every now and then along the way. "I don't know what that was," He said to himself, "but I seriously hope it does not happen again." Finally he was able to make it to class and found the girl from before hunched over and leaning on the wall while trying to catch her breath. He smiled a little bit and turned his attention to the group standing around the board. He came over and tried to see what they all had been looking at, which was a bit difficult since he was shorter than the others but he managed. It seemed like whatever had been written on the board had already been erased. "What's going on?" He asked, not pointing the question at any person in particular. "And where is everyone else?"

Torrey huffed deep breaths. Running hadn't helped her now prominent headache. So far her day was great. Having finally gathered her bearings, Torrey tried to focus on the group in front of the board. She glanced over at the albino boy as he spoke. "Your guess is as good as mine." She muttered. If finally dawned on her that there we're no administrators. Either she had tuned them out or no one had yelled at her for running through the halls. And where was their teacher? She pulled out her phone and checked the time. They we're usually here before the kids, and even if they we're late someone was usually checking in on them or telling them to quiet down. "Whats the deal with the board?" She whispered seeing it as the center of confusion. She peered through the small crowd only to see a girl with an eraser in her hand. "Haven't you learned anything from the movies? Never get rid of the weird stuff." She mumbled shaking her head slightly. It was with that the noise erupted in her ears again. She cursed silently and fished around her back for an advil. Damn voices, they're never this bad. Talk of going in the teachers lounge and a hurricane caught her attention and she frowned slightly. Miles flight was in less than ten minutes. He'd be boarding soon. Surely they'd stop it if there was a storm. "You guys have nothing to loose. I say go in the teachers lounge, what harm could it do?" She called popping the pill in her mouth and downing it with water from her bottle.

  • Jack turned to the one person when they asked about the board and went to say something on it, however, he bit his tongue before he could say anything and turned back towards the collective group, unsure what else he could say as a whole. "Fine. Let's go there then." He resigned with a shake of his head, thinking that these people were way too dramatic. Something bothered him, he wasn't sure what it was, but it was scratching at the back of his mind, notifying him that he had missed something, but too damn unhelpful to actually let him know what it was. He took another glance at the board as it was cleared and gave a loud sigh, sending one of his hands to mess with his ear as he began to hear something once more, turning to the two behind him to see if they were whispering to each other. Annoyingly, and equally worryingly, they were not.
