  • I'D WISH PLANTLIFE WOULD GROW ALL AROUND ME

Yeah. Are you here for the meet and greet? Well... Sorry. Don't got one for you. I got an attempt at one, though. Poor Honeydew had no idea what they were doing. The fruit slime's ears pinned back at the sight of all of the family members in camp. They peered around nervously and fiddled with their thumbs. Okay. Okay. Problem solving. How do they do this... They didn't know how to speak. They knew no social cues of land walkers. They sighed and stared down at their feet. They were screwed.

Honeydew's face dropped at this realization. What if they never fit in? Were they even acccepted in the first place? What if they were breaking a rule they didn't know about? Honey fell back, sitting on the ground and leaning against his hands for leverage. They could feal their breathing rate increase. Was it hot out here or was it just them? Honey grimanced as their yellow slime shell started to melt. Nope... It was them. Honey let out a pathetic cry for help as they curled up into a small ball. A small, melting, slimy, sticky ball.

    Oliver Queen-Stark
    "The Arrow"

To be honest, he was one of those clanmates who was really confused by a fruit slime for a clanmate. But he knew that there was one, so he padded over a little hesitantly when he noticed it looking a little... melted. "Hey, are you okay?" He wondered if it even spoke english, because he felt insane for talking to a slime... thing.

The slime creature let out a scared shriek at Oliver's sudden statements. They were so wrapped up in their own musing that they didn't even notice the gryphon approaching. They let out a nervous chuckle and reached up to attempt to push the slime melting down their face back into place. It didn't work, only melting over their fingers. It was actually kinda gross. Honeydew cried out in distress, covering their face with their hands. Don't look at me! Don't look at me!

  • Jekyll would arrive behind Oliver, looking towards the embarrassed slime-like creature. If he were to be honest, it still confused him quite a bit as to what it actually was and he knew he'd have a bit of difficultly speaking with it because, well, it didn't seem to speak. Still, he didn't want to treat it as though it wasn't a clanmates so he would make his way over with a light smile. "Perhaps you could go into one of the cabins in the shade so you could cool off?" He would suggest light.

He had never properly introduced himself to it, but he had seen it. He was curious about it, that was for sure. With widened eyes, the apprentice had watched the slimy plant thing begin to panic. It looked as if it was in distress, and oh dear, was it.... melting? That didn't look too good. No worries, though! Good ole' Alli was here to save the day! The fluffy tom nudged a bowl of water toward the slime creature, offering for it to take it. Obviously they needed to cool down, and what was a better way to cool down than to drink some nice, ice-cool water? "Here, a gift for ya from me!" The apprentice purred, swishing his bushy tail around.

Honeydew chortled quietly, nervously staring up at the doctor and apprentice. They smiled nervously, giving the two a grateful look. Honeydew took the bowl from the apprentice, greedily slurping up the liquid. Granted, they would do that even if they weren't currently in the middle of a melt down... sorry I'll leave. Anyways. They were a plant. Water was eighty percent of their lifesblood. Granted, that was the same for land walkers. So... Guess we really do have the elixir to life then.

Honey sighed in relief as their form slowly started to solidify. It seems like calming down was enough to cool them down and turn them back into a squishy lump. The fruit slime gave them a grateful smile, tail wagging in joy. Great. No more breakdowns!
