  • We could start with them being in the protest, then hearing people screaming as the police started arresting and beating people (there could even be shooting, but I'm not sure if that actually happened or not)

  • Ooc: there might've been if it got to that point

Ic: Grayson had been marching for most of the day. He held a sigh that read Ignorance = Fear, Silence = Death because he felt it to be very true. he looked around at the many people marching for the same reason he was, the government had failed them and their love ones were dead because of the desease. If the situation was handled better than they wouldn't be doing this. Grayson's boyfriend, Damian, wouldn't be dead and he wouldn't have AIDS at the moment. As he marched he bumped into a person who looked very angry. "So what brings you out here?" he asked

Holding an upside down American flag, a sign of distress, Joshua let his anger out in the chants they spouted as he marched with the crowd. He tried to keep his loved ones in mind as they walked. Being bumped into made him slightly irritated, but he looked to the guy who spoke. "I'm here for my friends and my boyfriend. What about you?"

  • "I'm here for my boyfriend and also for myself actually. I'm kind of amazed that so many people are out here. It's nice to know I'm not the only who knows that we've been failed by the government. I mean if we-"

"COPS!" someone in the crowd yelled as some gun shots went off and Grayson out of panic grabbed onto Joshua's hand and ran away from the gunshots. He cared about the cause, but he wasn't ready to be shot for it.

Being whipped around opposite of where they were marching from surprised Joshua, but he regained his footing and began following the guy. Cops!? He looked behind him to see the crowd scattering, some brave souls fighting with the police.

  • Grayson looked back at the few brave souls who went to attack the cops and watched as they ended up being tackled to the ground. He turned to face Joshua who was nearby not sure what to do. "You want to go after the cops or you want to hide before the cops come find us?" he asked

Joshua looked down a bit sadly, but his face remained determined. [color=#f48042]"Yeah. I...I had a lover once. And a few friends of mine as well. You said you also lost some loved ones?"

  • "Yeah, my last boyfriend" he said as a sad smile appeared on his face remembering his old love. "He also gave it to me, but he didn't even know it. Neither of us did at the time. Now he's dead and buried and I'm stuck on a ticking clock I don't know when it'll stop."

Joshua looked at Greyson a bit sadly. [color=#f48042]"I'm sorry. I know how you feel. I've been tested a couple of times, but I'm still not sure if I have it or not." He slumped against the wall a little.

  • "Hey it's not like you're the cause of this" Grayson smiled looking back down at his sign. "All I know is whatever time I've got left, I'm not gonna be quiet. I'm gonna keep going to these protests and letting them know that they've messed with the wrong guy" he explained referring to the government as they

Joshua could only sigh as he was reminded of his now gone boyfriend. But the anger did subside. "I know. That's why I'm still here despite losing so many." He smiled at him as they stood there in the alley still. [color=#f48042]"You're very admirable."
