  • I'D WISH PLANTLIFE WOULD GROW ALL AROUND ME

To say that Honeydew wasn't watching the clan they were born into would be a lie. They were a curious creature, after all. The small slime creature raised a brow at the sight of the riverclanners wandering around territory. They hummed and curiously rubbed at their chin. Oh yeah. They almost forgot. They had a chin! This whole 'copy parts of the creature you see around you' thing was great! They had arms! And legs! They could move! This was much more fun than sitting around all day like most plants do. Honey had already copied arms, legs and a pair of triangular ears onto their form.

The sweet smelling creature hummed and tilted their head curiously. They've seen these weird... initiation parties show many others into their family. Honey couldn't help but be happy for them. The idea of a family this large must be exciting. How many brothers and sisters someone must have! The melon slime couldn't imagine it. You'd never be alone! A smile spread across their face (they had a face too! Exciting!). It must be nice. Being stuck in the ground for such a long time had taught honeydew that they never wanted to be alone again.

Honeydew took a deep breath, ears (Ears! They still couldn't believe it!) perked up with pride. Okay. They've tried this many times before. But today is the day. They've studied all they could about this large family. What these land walkers had to do to get in. They would make it. They looked like a land walker! Well... Honey looked down at themself. As much as a cat like, bipedal slime monster could anyways. Honey gave a sad smile. Nope. They would make it. They couldn't reject them. They would fit in just fine! And if not, they could literally shift themselves until they did!

They sighed, not realizing they were holding in their breath. Honeydew let themselves fall onto their front paws, walking like most of the creatures in the family. Well... If not all. They lost count. Honey huffed and glared at the ground, determined. They wouldn't lie. It was harder walking on four paws, but they've gotten plenty of outside practice. Honey smiled and took a few steps forward towards they invisible line they have heard be called a 'border'. This was until they were a few measly paces from the line when they tripped on one of their paws, squeaking loudly in shock as they toppled forward onto the ground. They sat up, rubbing at their aching head (ahhh!! LIMBS!). Talk about a great first impression...
