    VICTOR

Victor stumbled to life and began to walk around camp, not really walk. He began to stumble around half-heartedly, quietly griping about his head and his ankle.

  • staring down the woman looked around. would she have to wait this horde out? she hoped not. she had food going for the others back at their central work place. breathing out she was relieved that the foods she had been hunting out were now safe in her knapsack. today she had gone to scout out food stuffs for the others, a gift of gratitude. climbing down from her perch she crept along in small and large strides as the parasites crowded one of their deceased comrades. her breath came fast as she maneuvered through the old junk yard she had taken up safety in. she didn't live with the others in a conventional way. she lived out in the middle of the yard in the big industrial building that had once held big pieces of machinery now standing out in the yard like sentries.

she had been living there since the virus spread, unwilling to leave when the others came by. they knew of her but didn't much notice her as she left little things for them. her attention had been drawn to a few of their people though, to someone named Blair as Ath had learned from spying on them. it would be a shame for the others to leave. she wanted to make friends with the individual and would knowingly feel a gap if the others left. she frowned as she crept up a pile of junk, avoiding the parasites as they swarmed through the yard.

hopping over a fence the young woman jogged the distance to the camp that the others had set up, her breath puffing. technically her home was on an acreage but she didn't trust the older house, too frightened by the creaks and groans to stay there, not to mention the thought of bears and wolves.

(Where is the camp exactly? In city or out of city?)

  • Jules smiled, placing his hand on hers and kissing her, once again. Now completely confident, the boy seemed to stand taller, prouder as he held Carter. As if he had found what would keep him alive

    omg the cringe. sorry lmao.

Cassin, frustrated again stood up, this time more slowly and stormed off to her own tent, sitting down in her cot as she moved the ice pack from her head. It was cold to say the least so she would keep it off for a few minutes, making sure the bruise wouldn't sting from being too cold.

  • OOC: @venture i'm pretty sure the group is in a forest. i'm not super sure what the camp looks like though, it's kind of a weird amalgamation of tents, a border wall of cars, and some kind of junk pile? nobody's really said anything yet so it's really confusing

Blair pulled out an old pen that was laying around in the tent and absent-mindedly clicked at it as they thought about what to do next. The cabin was cleared out of anything valuable, a lot of the surrounding forest was pillaged, and they weren't sure exactly where to go next. The best, and more treacherous option, was to find a ghost town of some sort and loot some actual buildings. The group could always use medicine, food, and weapons. None of those things were easy to get anymore. The apocalypse had gone on for years and nearly everything had expired, and everything that didn't expire was taken by somebody else. For this next adventure, Blair thought, they would need a partner to watch their back. This was not a solo mission, but one that may take days to complete

  • oh okay thanks! //

Athabasca slowed her jog as she came within distance of the settlement. looking at the wall of cars she made a face before wriggling through a gap she could fit into and dropped her bag inside. crawling through she popped up and took up her bag once more. shivering with a wave of cold she walked around the edges of the camp, silently. she was known but barely, just as somebody who brought little things like food items from animals that had been caught.

sorry not many sentences but im on a time limit //

Carter grinned and ran her fingers through the boy's dark hair before pulling back and laying her head on his chest. She closed her eyes and sighed gently, nuzzling his chest with her nose and playfully nipping him before laying back on the cot. She curled up in a little ball as if she were a small ferret and patted the spot next to her, inviting him to cuddle.

    //wow

    VICTOR

//i honestly think i'm gonna kill Victor off cause he's drunk and dumb

  • Maybe an interaction between him and Ath? As in she might kill him or something? It's up to you heh ^^;; //

Ath crept along as she searched out a place where she could deposit her goods, always searching out a new area to keep it safe. for the way she moved with a loping gait one could mistake her for a parasite in the sense her gait was interrupted from an old injury to her knee. some days she couldn't move because of the level of the pain.

  • Blair worked absentmindedly on their plans, almost zoning out, but then it came to them. Through the slit in their tent they saw a somewhat familiar face. They stopped clicking the pen and inched forward a bit to see the woman outside. It was that one girl that was only kind of part of the group, but Blair liked her. They also knew that she had been much further outside the walls than any of the others have in a very long time and was probably the best choice to go on the journey with. Quickly Blair unzipped the tent and pushed themself out to talk to the woman

"Uhh, hey!" Blair had to check again what her name was, but then went for the best guess, "Athena! You're back, it's been a while."

  • stiffening at the call-out her shoulders pitched in surprise. letting out a breath she lowered her shoulders before tossing her head left to right to crack her neck. she turned around, the woman's back straightening as she stepped forward to better see Blair, a while it has been but not much has changed here. she murmured in response before turning her head. her one eye fixed on Blair taking them in as she did a visual search for injuries. she huffed, any cases? i found new medicines. not expired, at least not the ones i tested. some rat poison too, to chase the vermin away.

standing with her weight to one side the colored woman was visibly tense and uncomfortable inside the camp's walls. she proffered the knapsack she carried, half my loot. close to the three fourths. don't need much alone. you've been safe? she wanted to know, her eyes glinting with her concern as she looked at them again. making a noise she stepped a little closer to play with some of Blair's flyaway hairs. she was intent on fixing the flaw, coming closer before flashing a radiant smile of glee as the hairs finally stuck in place. she realized how close she was and stepped back, rubbing her neck before digging something out and half shoving it at Blair. what she handed over was and sketchbook and a notebook albeit maybe a little bloody. she flushed, too plan and destress. i can find more. she rumbled awkwardly as she moved the sack to higher up her arm and wrung her hands in anxiety.

(she likes giving Blair gifts and feels accepted more so with them and just wants Blair to be comfy and safe) //

  • ooc: i feel a ship coming on :'P

Blair's jaw dropped incredulously, "You found medicine? How?" it was so hard to find medicine these days, and to find some that hadn't expired yet was even more incredible, "You're absolutely a magician."

They smiled now and slightly blushed at how close they were to each other now. Blair was never quite sure why Athena never stayed, but they were happy when she decided to return, "I've been safe, don't worry about me." they took the gift with a smile, "Thank you, I've been looking for one that hasn't been written in. How have you been?"

  • busy. bored. hunting. she shrugged, rubbing her shoulder. when she had first come to the others she had been dying and had lost a lot of blood. she had been mauled, not by the 'parasites' as she called them but by a pack of dogs. they had no food and had turned savage she had explained as they patched her up. she was the most decent looking meal they would have had in weeks possibly months. she averted her eyes and the question of the medicines, my ma had taught me. i made them. i can make more, i just need the right things. they aren't as strong as modern medicines. they are tribal medicines, passed along from my ma's tribe. she answered shyly, rubbing at her shoulder still. it had been nearly two months since their initial meeting, and it seemed as if the shoulder still bothered her.

very little herbs grow in the junkyard. what does, i collect, and the rest i hunt. deer come to the city borders. bring more next time? she questioned, motioning to the knapsack. inside were portions of meat, the occasional hare and mainly fowl.

(shhhhhhhh ^^;; they'd make great friends [and a better ship given time] -- she drops her quality in english when she's excited [she loves hunting deer])

    VICTOR

Victor began his drunken stumble out of camp and into the forest, tripping over tree roots and such. He shook out his hair and continued to walk, not really having any direction. He just wanted to be away, away from everything. He knew that this wasn't a time to get depressed, but he couldn't help it. Once he was about a mile away from camp, he sat down on a fallen tree and sighed softly.

  • OOC: haha no worries i'm down for the development

Blair's eyes widened, "You made these medicines yourself? That's amazing. If Ben heard you say that he might hunt you down and ask you to teach him to make these. Finding medicine is nearly impossible, so anything you can make, or get, is very much appreciated."

Blair had to admit, they were a little jealous of Athena. Getting to go beyond the walls was the greatest feeling in the world. The world was quiet, except for the occasional quiet moans of the undead and rabid animals. If they decided to leave the group for good, which never truly crossed Blair's mind, they would still feel lonely, so they would eventually come back. A new thought crossed their mind

"Hey, I'm thinking of taking a long trip away from here to get a lot more supplies. I would like to prepare for the winter. I'm thinking food preservation, warm clothes, medicines, ammunition, or any other blunt objects we can find. You've been a lot further than any of us have been in a long time. Would you go with me?"

  • She turned her head slightly in interest as they spoke, eyes glittering. a journey for supplies? she hummed, admiring their thought for the future. the safest place would be the city. horses and vehicles create loud noises. a plane too. we could set up a system to get into the city ... she murmured, dropping off into her own personal mind for a few moments before shaking it off. shifting her shoulders she nodded, I'll go. will it be just us? or will the others want to come with? she asked out of plain curiosity. she sighed gently, coming up with a plan, would you like to see around my home? it's of a distance but if you'd like i could show you around it so you could have some place to wait for me when you find what day you want to leave. or you could wait here too. she murmured, flushed.

    okay ^^ //

  • ooc just tracking for now because i have no clue how to interpret a 14-year-old into this as of now
like could i get a recap please?? if everyone's outside of camp or something he could sneak out and someone could find him and he'd be in deep doo-doo

  • (Athabasca and Blair are talking of going on a trip by Blair's tent and I think Victor is in the woods, drunk and depressed) //

  • Athabasca looked at Blair in quiet admiration before looking away from the person she found intriguing and friendly. The idea of a trip made her nervous but she made the journey to the camp anyways, so she didn't know why she felt so anxious about this trip. Shaking her head the woman rubbed at her arm anxiously.

    Low muse //

  • Blair watched the other for a moment and wondered why she looked so nervous if she already agreed to go with. For the moment she pushed it out of her mind, "Thank you for agreeing to go with me. I think it should be just us. The others know I like to go further in my searches, and I don't think they'd be too keep to go into the city when it's safe out here. Plus, I'd love to see your home; we can stop by there first to prepare."
