frecklestar had seen how quiet their clan had been lately, and it frustrated her to no end. she knew she had to do more about it, she knew she had to figure something out. the question was, what?
"windclan, gather for a meeting!" she shouted, flicking an ear as she lept upon the tall stone, glancing around the camp. "let's get right into this. windclan is quiet, it's slow. i know it's my fault as well, but this is a team effort everyone. i want to see my senior warriors and my medicine cat apprentices more, doing something, anything. senior warriors may also choose the role of a tunneler, should they wish to lead that life.
"adderbite, you may chose the role of senior warrior or tunneler. i'd like to see you around more as well. blueface, you were doing good, but i haven't seen much of you recently; i'd like to see more. fawnpaw and dawnfeather, i'd like to see you both more; if this isn't fixed by the next meeting, i'll find someone else to resume your training.
"medicine cat try out's will be up by the next meeting, and a deputy will be named in the next meeting, per starclan's wishes. if you'd like to lead this clan after me, it's time to step up and prove you have what it takes to be a leader.
"now, i need people to do some things for me. if you'd like to be of help, or if you want to take an opportunity to step up, as i said before, then now is your chance. i'd like a patrol sent to darkclan to see if they're alright, as they weren't at the gathering. i need someone to set up weekly tasks. also, i'm leading a patrol to thunderclan, to insure everything is alright after their rockslide, and anyone may come. however, if you can't keep your attitude in check, then don't come; we need good allies."
she stopped then, watching her clanmates for a moment, letting her words settle in. her tone had been harder than usual; it showed her discontent, but her understanding. times were hard, she knew this well, but she couldn't baby them. she did it too much. sometimes, even a mother had to be stern.
"any questions?"
