saying she'd heard about the rockslide wasn't entirely true; she'd heard it herself. noise carried on the moors, and she wanted to give thunderclan time. not an eternity, but a rush of another clan in the midst of the chaos wouldn't have done anything but cause more chaos. and she didn't want to make it seem like she was scoping out their territory and their weaknesses - though it wasn't as though she had to. with the rank of tunnelers brought back, her clan could slip into thunderclans forests and then back out undetected. she thought it best not to mention that to other clans just yet.
but the leader stood at the head of the patrol on fourtrees land, at the thunderclan border, waiting patiently. her features were warm and kind, like a mother looking at someone elses kit's, remembering her own. she was always a kind feline, she always had a big heart. it was rather shocking to think that she could ever plan attacks or lead battles, and she knew many didn't think she could, or would, among all of the clans. many of her own even doubted her abilities as a leader in times of crisis.
so she sat and waiting, calm and patient as always.
