"That's a good idea." Serena said.
Eve looked at Nick and asked, "What do we need to do?"

Nick explained how one finds arcane residue and how to track it

Serena nodded and started to track it.
Eve sat on the couch and ran her hands over her face.
Aleera frowned and glanced at Lance.

Lance sighed and went to his workshop to think
Nick helped trace the residue

Serena glanced at Eve and Aleera. “Everything will be alright.” She said as she continued the task at hand.
The girls nodded but still felt uneasy.

"Don't worry too much, Lance has never failed before, and isn't going to start now" Nick said "Though to be fair he also cant really die"

"We know and thanks for trying to cheer us up." Aleera said softly.
Eve stood up and followed Lance. She gently knocked on the door and waited.

Nick nodded and smiled at her
"Enter" Lance said

Serena smiled softly as they worked.
Eve entered quietly and closed the door behind her. She looked at him sadly and asked, “Is there anything I can do to help.”

Nick smiled back at her
"I don't know love" Lance replied pullng her into his arms

"I almost have him. I just need a few more minutes." Serena murmured in concentration.
Eve hugged him tightly and rested her head against his chest. "Maybe Aleera and I were better off as one being. She's the strong one not me." She said quietly.

Nick grinned "Good job love"
Lance hugged her back "Its fine love, not everyone has to be strong, im happy with you both as is"

After a few more minutes Serena had found him. "Got him, but he's on the move." She said.
Eve nodded and looked up at him. "After everything we've been through I haven't thanked you properly." She said thoughtfully.

"Of course he is" Nick sighed "its never easy is it?"
"You don't have to thank me love" Lance said holding her close

Serena chuckled and said, "if everything was easy life would be boring."
Eve smiled slightly and said, "I know love. And no matter how many times I say thank you it'll never be enough."

"Having lived a long time, i hate to agree with you, but you are right" Nick sighed
Lance kissed her

Serena hugged him and asked, "should we tell Lance that we found him?"
Eve kissed him back lovingly.

"Probably" Nick said
Lance held her close happily kissing her

"You should give them a moment." Aleera murmured thoughtfully.
Serena nodded and looked back at Nick.
Eve laced her fingers through his hair as they kissed.
