"You've already been told, I'm a Harpy, and a myth as powerful as that can do whatever the hell they want saying magic. Every Harpy is a sorceress in some way." Michiga explained, adjusting her jacket carefully over her arms as she began to fiddle with her hair, making it look neater and less tangle. "Let me guess, you can't or don't know how to shift back?" She asked with a raised eyebrow and a scoff, looking Nilam up and down with a slightly impressed look dancing in her eyes.

OOC: Sure that's an awesome idea, also sorry for the short reply, I've got loads of annoying coursework at the moment.
-
(Thanks. Also, no problem, I'm in the same boat. This math class is kicking my butt, and it really isn't fun when stacked with AP English. I don't usually pay much attention to post length, anyway.)
"I don't really know how I got this way, to be honest." Nilam admitted, shrugging. "But if you're some sort of powerful sorceress... Could you help me look normal, too?" she asked, then realized they were still pretty high up, and there didn't seem to be a way for a normal human to get down from this roof besides a fire escape that definitely would not be wheelchair friendly. Who knew if she would be able to walk if she went back to normal. "But, maybe we should get off this roof first?" Nilam said, adding "It might look suspicious if we just come down from the roof. We should find a nice alley or something, maybe." At least if she was on the ground she could call for help as soon as the harpy was gone, and perhaps tell someone her chair and other things had been stolen, then get back to her apartment. That is, if she found a kind stranger. The chances of that in New York? Not very high.
-
Michiga raised an eyebrow at Nilam's proposal before slowly nodding and placing her fingers under her chin in a thinking position. "And then what? I leave a disabled girl alone in a New York alleyway free for pedophiles and murderers to have an easy target?" She questioned, smirking slightly at the irony of the last statement. 'Well she's already met two murderers in a day.' The Harpy thought quickly, smirking again to herself.
-
"How did you know I was..." Nilam mumbled, then spoke up "HEY! I can fend for myself, thank you very much!" She huffed, and crossed her arms. She looked somewhat like a child about to throw a fit. "What do you suggest, oh wise sorceress?"
-
Michiga screwed her eyes shut and pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance, her eyes instantly flashed gold as she stared dangerously at the girl. "How about I fly you up and then drop you like an eagle would a tortoise and let's test how you fly?" She joked mencacingly, rubbing her temples as her wings spread out. Almost instantly, the Harpy sprung forward, grabbing Nilam around the waist before shooting upwards with large confident strokes of her wings.
-
"Hey, that actually might- HEY!" Nilam said, struggling a bit as Michiga grabbed her. The Harpy was stronger than she looked. Even if she had agreed, she wasn't about to give up and just let herself be carried around like a baby. She'd had enough of being trapped. "Let go of me!" she shouted, trying to elbow Michiga and wriggle out of her grasp.
-
Michiga sighed and flew up as high as possible, the air instantly becoming thin and cold before the Harpy allowed her grip to loosen. "As you wish." She stated, instantly letting go of Nilam's torso and watching as she plumetted to the ground, all whilst the Harpy hovered high up, smirking to herself as she awaited Nilam spreading her wings and saving herself. "Don't be the tortoise about to be killed by the eagle." She added, making sure she could be heard over the rushing wind.
-
Nilam let out a short scream when she was released, but quickly caught herself. She wouldn't waste time panicking and losing height this time. She had the whole soaring thing down for the most part, but she wasn't quiet sure how to gain height. She started experimenting a bit, circling under the Harpy and eventually gaining height thanks to some slightly excessive flapping. "HA! I did it!" she yelled, now around the same height as Michiga once more. "But what do we do now?" she asked, looking over the city.
-
"We?" Michiga repeated in surprise before rolling her eyes at Nilam. Her eyes darted around slowly and instantly, the Harpy had dived towards a quiet alleyway where no one would see her. Leaving Nilam behind to follow if need be, Michiga landed on her feet, instantly her wings disappeared again and she stared over her shoulder to where Nilam was.
-
Nilam followed her, taking longer to descend and doing a rather sloppy job of landing. She nearly ran into a wall, and only avoided it by tripping over her own feet. The sting of scraping her hands, arms, and legs on the concrete wasn't pleasant, but after so many years of not being able to feel half of her body, she didn't think she minded so much. With a light groan, the girl got on her feet, and smiled to Michiga. "Hey, I didn't die! That wasn't so bad."
-
"Congratulations." Michiga muttered sarcastically, instantly she turned to Nilam and looked the girl up and down before clicking her fingers. Within a few seconds a swirl of black had encircled Nilam before it disappeared much like smoke, leaving Nilam in her usual form. "I've done my part of the deal so bye, I hope you don't get attacked." She said as she began to walk away.
-
"B-but..." Nilam said, realizing she still stood, despite the withered appearance of her legs. "I can't just walk out of here... People will see me. Maybe... Could you carry me back to my apartment?" she asked, blushing a bit. "I really will find someway to repay you, I promise, but if someone sees me... I don't know how I'd explain it."
-
Michiga sucked in an irritated breath and pinched the Brides of her nose in frustration. She stopped walking and turned back towards Nilam, her eyes hard and cold. "This was originally your plan so don't make it out like I'm that cruel." She muttered, knowing she would probably be even worse than abandoning the girl. Muttering a few curses under her breath, Michiga placed her arms underneath Nilam's knees and the her shoulder blades before lifting her up bridal style and starting to walk out of the alleyway.
-
Nilam was surprised that Michiga actually helped her, and tried to ease her weight by putting an arm around the woman's neck. "I don't think it's that far. I go to that cafe all the time." she said, pointing to a building across the street. It was open now, and there were plenty of people out on the street. "I wonder what gossip will spread when people see me with my arm around a beautiful," she teased, smiling up at the harpy and ignoring some of the looks they got from some of the people they passed. The truth was, Michiga was very pretty. She might look a bit rough and scary, but she had a sort of elegant and regal swagger. She had a sort of dark beauty and mysterious aura. It was in this moment that something occurred to Nilam. Perhaps the woman who was carrying her was in fact a villain. Maybe she'd been lucky enough to be able to make an evil sorceress feel sorry for her because she knew how it was to be trapped by a monster like Kraven. Or maybe Nilam had managed to make enough of a fool of herself that Michiga just felt sorry for her. She'd lost her smile now, and looked quite unsure of what was happening, perhaps even a bit doubtful. If this woman was a villain, then why would she keep helping her? Was she one of those misunderstood anti-heroes instead?
-
Michiga nodded and sucked in a deep breath as she headed towards their destination. Now and again her eyes would glance down to check on Nilam before rising again, sometimes glaring coldly at an onlooker who would instantly become more interested in their shoes or the sky. Rolling her eyes the harpy carried on, here and then she would readjust her grip on the girl in her arms before carrying. Once more her eyes trailed down to Nilam again who's eyebrows were furrowed and her features pulled into a frown. "What are you thinking about?" Michiga asked with a raised eyebrow.
-
Nilam was surprised when Michiga didn't sass her, but somewhat pleased. Banter was delightful, but maybe this was a sign Michiga didn't absolutely hate her. Or maybe the harpy just agreed that she was beautiful? The woman's question caught her off-guard and she said "Well... To be honest I was wondering where you stand on the whole morality scale. Do you make a habit of saving pretty girls from creeps like Kraven, or am I the exception?"
-
Michiga rolled her eyes and muttered something underneath her breath before glaring down at Nilam. "You're an exception." She answered, adjusting her grip once more a small they got closer and closer to their destination. "I don't cross paths with many people so don't feel special." The harpy added quickly, raising an eyebrow at the girl she held.
-
"I live on the third floor there." she said, and pointed at a building as they rounded a corner. "What are you anyway, some kind of recluse?" Nilam asked, chuckling. "You think you have to separate yourself from other people or something?"
-
Michiga turned the corner and entered the complex before climbing the stairs and sighing. "Try murdering someone and then deciding to stay around people." She muttered, loud enough for the girl in her arms to hear.
