  • So we've been over the plot, it's up to you how you start your character, you can include canon characters if you wanted as well, I'm unsure who your character is so I will post something for the roleplay when I've seen your form.

    Name: Michiga Daros

    Age: Immortal/Millenia years old

    Gender: Female She/Her

    Species: Harpy/Sorceress

Personality: To most, Michiga is very cold and lethal, she is lethal when angered as that way her supernatural abilities come out. For example her wings will become visible and her eagle instincts of killing prey will take over, she is also known to sometimes control anything to do with the night. But as you get to know her you learn she has a valid reason and will eventually warm up and become nicer and loyal to you. Michiga is a nice girl with a troubled past.

History: Michiga was always shadowed by her elder sister, in many ways Michiga was a mistake, hence her name meaning exactly that. Her parents ignored her and disowned her for her sister until she snapped and left. Years left and Michiga found herself a partner who she thought was right, they ended up engaged and happy until he became abusive and ended up cheating. Finally at her breaking point, Michiga murdered him, the girl and then returned home, hoping that the murder spree wouldn't for some reason make her parents proud.

  • Aww man, I love Morgana so much. I'll get to making a character and probably be done sometime tonight. Do you mind if it's a girl? I could do a boy if you think it would fit better. Although I've been thinking about making someone pretty androgynous lately...

  • Thanks. Gender doesn't matter horribly to me usually, but I tend to resort to girls for some reason.

Do you think I should use a cinnamon roll plant girl who loves attention and found out she had powers around age 13
Or a kind of wild spirited cripple who is discovering her new body after going through an experiment in an attempt to heal herself and coming out with super powers

  • Me too! I found an old Star Wars thread I used to play on thanks to the update messing up my bookmarks and remembered how much I loved that character.

And here's the new and improved version!

    Name: Nilam Reyn Chvatal
    Age: 22 years
Gender: Female, though she does appear pretty masculine
    Species: Human ?Mutant?
Appearance: The first thing most people notice is that Nilam is wheelchair-bound, then comes the warm cinnamon skin, brown eyes, her Indian descent, somewhat thick lips that stretch across most of her face, oil slick black hair (dark black, but once light hits it there are various strands of rainbow colors) that she keeps about shoulder length and is often up in a ponytail. If she could stand she would be about 6 feet and 3 inches and lanky, with a very well-muscled upper body.

Personality: Nilam likes to have fun and do as she wishes. She will follow orders if she must, but likes to bend the rules. She tends to keep her emotions obvious and doesn't often hide what she is thinking. She is determined, energetic and headstrong. Nilam is easily riled up and finds it hard to turn down a challenge. Despite her usual aggression, she actually finds it rather easy to make friends and is usually very cheerful. She tries to do what she thinks is best for the world, but can often get trapped in that grey area of what is right and wrong.
History: Nilam was always a very active child, and played as many sports as possible. When she was nine she had an accident in Soccer and injured her spine, causing her to become paraplegic (paralyzed from the hips down) and putting her in the hospital for a little over a year. She had some troubles adjusting, but pushed through it. She still trained with her upper body and even joined the basketball team in high school. After graduating, she moved to go to college a few states over from her home of Michigan. She managed to find a few jobs and had to work hard to pay for college, even with the money she had saved previously and her scholarships. By the end of her freshman year in college she found a surprisingly lucrative study on disability to participate in. To her surprise, after months of testing she began to show some strange reactions, which turned out to be powers.
Powers (only accessible when shifted): Somewhat stronger, flight, able to survive with slightly less oxygen (for high altitudes), enhanced vision

I don't know if I should have her permanently in weird blue winged form, because exploring her trying to get used to that could be interesting... But I kind of want her to still have the option of going back to a somewhat normal life kind of??? What do you think?
I feel like her being stuck in weird blue winged person form would kind of force her into being a super hero, and maybe The Harpy is the only person Nilam knows of that has similar powers and might be able to help her figure things out. So then she has to try and track Michiga down to get help from someone who might kill her for all she knows.

Also I found this really cool article on birds: http://www.cracked.com/article…superheroes-to-shame.html
I knew about owls and ostriches being terrifyingly amazing, but not the others.

  • Hmmmm... Maybe she can turn normal, but it takes quite a bit of effort to maintain or something. Then one day she might get distracted and have to hope no one saw her slip-up. Hehehe. Anyway, I have no idea how to start this. Sorry. I can try something later if you want, but right now I'm running on way less sleep than I should have.

  • (Thanks. I guess I'll start with Nilam testing out her abilities for the first time. Maybe she could have an encounter with another super powered being that's been bothering Michiga for some reason?)

Nilam didn't quite understand what was happening to her. She had been quite ill after completing the study she had participated in, but for some reason this morning she had woken up in her apartment and... She lifted her hands, just to be sure. Sure enough, large blue hands with long, thin fingers moved before her eyes. She was lucky her roommate had taken to sleeping over at a friend's house when Nilam started showing signs of being ill. Daisy was quite paranoid about getting sick, and hadn't wanted to take any risks. Nilam had awoken about an hour earlier, the sun not even risen yet, and was quite shocked to find that her legs felt much too cold. She had somehow lost her blanket. Which was usually nearly impossible, unless she had thrown it. But why were her legs cold? She shouldn't feel anything. So she opened her eyes, and was so surprised at the blue skin that she jumped back, her toes curling in shock. The wall and post of the bed crashed into her head and back, adding to the chaos. She could now feel the wings on her back being pinned. Nilam had quickly stuffed herself into her wheelchair, wheeling into the bathroom and staring at herself in the mirror for quite some time. It took about fifteen minutes for her to realize that Brandi would be coming in soon to give her breakfast before leaving for her morning class. So she fled, three different blankets wrapped around her to hide her new features, and taking the elevator to the roof of the building. And then had stayed there, staring over the city in the freezing morning, watching the sun rise and trying to figure out what in the world to do.
The closest thing to a conclusion that she'd come to was that she was an idiot. Of all the places to come...She'd picked a roof? There was no way off except for going back through the building, which was surely full of other people waking up and wandering the halls. Unless she... Nilam glanced over the edge of the roof once more, then reached behind her back. Her hand was met with the edge of a wing. It was still covered in a blanket, and pinned between her and the chair. She let her curiosity get the better of her, and leaned forward to get some space. She flapped her arms, feeling the wing wiggle a bit. How in the world was she supposed to control them? It took a few minutes, but she managed to find the right muscles, extending the wings, and grabbing the blanket as it fell.
"Nice." she said quietly, and gave an experimental flap. It was like a combination of flexing her fingers and waving. She did it again, harder this time, and was caught by surprise as she was propelled forward, the chair rolling and sending her over the edge of the building. Nilam screamed, unsure of what to do, and thanked whoever had built the building for making so many damn floors for her to consider her options. The first thought was using the blankets like parachutes, but then she realized they had been ripped away by the wind. It took her longer than it should have to remember that if she had wings she could probably use them to fly.
'But how do you fly?' she wondered, and settled for gliding, spreading her wings and feeling her whole body jolt as they caught the air and slowed her fall significantly. After a while, she figured out how to control where she went, and even gained a bit of height after some trouble. The buildings on campus were far enough apart that she navigated through them rather easily. It didn't take long to get into the business district, where she managed to work up the courage to look at the ground. She was surprised to find that she could read the signs on the streets, and make out details as if she were on the ground.
While she was distracted, Nilam was hit with a sort of net, and screamed as her wings were pinned and she was was once again falling. Suddenly she wasn't falling, and the net had tightened as it was lifted up over the edge of a building. There was a rather burly man with drak hair and a rather outlandish outfit of various animal skins. She recognized him from various news reports...
"Kraven the Hunter," Nilam said, feeling rather unprepared for whatever was about to go down. This morning had been a roller coaster, and she just had to hope it wasn't the sort that ended in a terrible death.

(So sorry that took so long. I hope that was okay.)

  • (Wow that's amazing! I must admit I didn't expect that much haha)

Michiga had suffered yet another night of restless and harmful night terrors followed by long hours of horrible insomnia. The usual combinations for her nights. You'd think the very girl who practically controlled the things of the night would be able to sleep, but then you'd be thinking wrong. So far, the Harpy had managed to cover the dark circles underneath her eyes with a pinch of concealer and foundation.

It had been early morning when Michiga had exited her hiding spot, and already she had caught the trail of one of her most hated enemies. Kraven, the very man who had asked and been denied the beauty of Michiga's raven and eagle like wings. But of course to a Hunter, permission and consent was never a necessary item on the list.

Therefore, said hunter had left with a handful of deep black feathers, all of which had been wrapped from the bottom of her majestic wings. Luckily for her the path was easily covered and within a few tries of a spell feathers had sprouted back into place. So far, the woman had followed the hunter into what looked to be a university or college campus.

It didn't take long for Michiga to spot the man, her stolen feathers weaved into his clothing alongaide many animal pelts. But what caught her attention was the winged creature caught in the net of the man. Carefully, she crept forward, awaiting a time to strike. She pointed her hand to the sky and instantly clouds blocked the sun and fog began to roll in, hiding the three strangers from the view of anyone who happened to look upwards.

  • Nilam had tried to get out of the net, but found that no matter what she did, there did not seem to be a way to get free. Kraven hauled the net over the edge of the roof, laughing at her attempts to get free.
"That net can hold some of the strongest super heroes, one of which you obviously are not." he said. "Now what exactly are you?" Before Nilam could reply, there was a sudden change in the weather, and it was as if someone had pulled a cloud out of the sky to cover them. Kraven seemed sure Nilam wouldn't be able to causse much trouble in the net, and looked around, trying to see though the fog and figure out what was happening. Nilam continued her struggle when walked off, mostly giving up on ripping it after a few minutes, and doing her best to try crawling along the roof.

(Sorry, pretty tired and havee low-ish muse.)

  • Michiga strode forward to become visible to the pair. She waved sarcastically at Kraven, adding a sadistic smile to her features. A hand rested on her hip whilst the other wrapped itself across her torso. Her wings were now tucked against her back, ready to spread themselves and show off at any time. The bird inside of her yearned to spread the wings, wishing to show off and scare away Kraven, but the Harpy knew better than to do such a thing. "Long time no see. So now you've moved on to youngsters? What are you a pedophile?"

  • "Ahhh, you reveal yourself... The Harpy." Kraven said, smirking as he raised his weapon. "But that raises the question of who or what exactly is in my net?" he asked, not daring to take his eyes off of the sorceress.
Nilam paused her crawling too look at the hunter, sure that he would turn. Then what Michiga had said hit her. "Hey!" she objected rather loudly "I'm not a youngster! You can't be much older than me, anyway."
Kraven risked a glance back, but quickly returned his gaze to Michiga. "So it speaks. And, apparently, can move despite the net. Interesting. Even so, by the end of this day I shall have two pairs of wings to mount." Before he had finished his sentence, Kraven had thrown a net at Michiga, mostly to distract from the tranquilizer dart he shot seconds after.
"Watch out!" Nilam shouted, reviving her attempt at getting out of the net. With the aid of her teeth, this time around she was able to get a small tear in it, which was better than nothing.

  • For Michiga, time literally slowed down, and within seconds she had dodged the net as it sailed over her head and landed behind her. Her keen eyes sought at the advancing tranquillisers and as time sped up to its normal pace, said dart failed to find its mark. The Harpy smirked in delight as she twirled the small weapon between her fingers, making sure she didn't catch herself on the needle.
Without a second thought Michiga had wrapped her hand around it and crushed the dart, throwing it mockingly at the feet of Kraven. "Are you honestly that naive?" She challenged, the sky growing dangerously dark and stormy. Her eyes flashed menacingly and her face was pulled into a sadistic smirk, her Raven like wings were spread out, their span most likely the size of a large lorry/truck from tip to tip.

  • (Those are some huge wings... ANd you know what they say about wingspan ;P Oh wait... Does that apply for females?)

Kraven growled, and readied a knife in case Michiga drew closer. He then started moving around the roof, to make it harder for her to hit him.
Nilam was still tearing at the net, and had widened the hole enough that she could get her arm out. Another minute had it a bit wider, and she hand a foot and part of her arm sticking out. Using all the strength she could muster, the girl began kicking and pulling, widening the hole with an audible rip. It was such a weird sensation. To be kicking... She'd even crawled on her knees earlier! All the things she could do...
She was out as soon as possible, not bothering to free her wings. Kraven hadn't seemed to hear the ripping over the sound of some thunder that had started up. That meant somewhere lightning had struck, right? Or did lightning come after thunder? She could never remember. Either way, staying on a roof wasn't a good idea. Nilam made a shaky attempt at standing, but managed to do it with the help of a wall to stabilize her. Maybe she could help somehow? But Kraven had managed to make it across nearly half of the building by now. Why in the world was he actually going closer to that... Whatever she was. When she caught sight of her blue hand, she realized she wasn't exactly someone who had much room to criticize someone else.
Nilam made up her mind, quickly tugging the ripped net free of her wings, and pushing off the wall into a shaky sprint. She had planned to catch Kraven with his own net, but he dodged at the last minute, tripping her.
"HA! How do you expect to attack when you are so loud?" he called, stepping on her back.

  • Michiga huffed and crossed her arms impatiently, her wings fluttering in a nervous yet ready twitch. Her eyes cast forward and she began to stride menachongly forward, her eyebrows furrowed and raised at Kraven as he advanced on her. Now and again her eyes would dart to Nilam, the irises flashing dangerously as the storm picked up, all lightning avoiding the roof as thunder rolled throughout the sky and rain pelted down on them.

The Harpy couldn't help but smile sadisticly as Nilam jumped in, only to get herself pinned down with the Hunter balancing a foot on her back. Rolling her eyes, the ravenette let her arms fall to her side as her wings opened wide, her lace dress swirling around her legs as the wind began to pick up. Despite the weather conditions, Michiga was planted firmly on the roof, glaring at Kraven. Suddenly she launched herself forward, using Nilam'a failed plan as a distraction as the Harpy slammed her body and wings into the oblivious hunter, instantly knocking him to the ground a few feet away as she hovered above him, in front of Nilam.

  • Nilam was surprised as Kraven was suddenly knocked away, the hunter even more so. He fell into a rather sloppy roll, though recovered himself at the end. His gun had flown out of his hand, and all he had left were close range weapons. He decided he wouldn't had very good chances of fighting two enemies with an aerial advantage, not to mention the Harpy's control of the storm. "I WILL have you some day, Harpy. And your little friend, too." Kraven said as he stood and retreated. He was quickly at the edge of the roof, and made his way down the building.
Nilam had sat up, and was staring at Michiga's back. "You scared him off! Thanks for the help, but I think I would have taken care of it. What's that guys issue, anyway? He's that one that's always going after Spiderman, right? Does he hate animal-themed superpowers? Does this mean I'm an animal-themed superhero? What even just happened?" A this point Nilam was rambling, and just saying whatever thought came to her head. All of the insanity of the morning seemed to have fried her brain a bit. Finally, she concluded "I need some tea."

(Good luck finding a cafe that accepts a giant blue person with wings and a harpy, gals.)

  • Michiga sighed and planted her hands on her hips, knocking her head back as her hair began to get in her face, attempting to set it back away from her eyes. The sky had now cleared, the fog and darkened sky remaining to hide the two from mortal sight. However, the thunder, lightning and rain had all ceased as did the ever calming wind. Carefully, Michiga planted her feet on the ground, her wings curling up against her back and brushing the floor ever so slightly.

With a burning glare, she glanced tiredly over at Nilam. Raising an eyebrow as the girl continued to ramble and ask stupid questions, the Harpy drew in a long breath, blinking slowly as her eyes returned to their deep emerald. "First of all, I can't be bothered to understand your questions, let alone answer them. Secondly, good luck getting tea looking like something that just died from freezing only to come back a souvenir an angle." Taking in another deep breath, Michiga clicked her fingers, smirking as her wings became invisible and unknown and her long black dress turned into a casual attire of high waisted jeans, a tank top and a leather jacket alongside some comfortable boots.

  • (Ooh, what if the only way she can disguise herself is with Michiga's help? Like a glamour that needs to be renewed every so often and can be turned off at will or negated by another magic user?)

"H-how did you do that?" Nilam asked, as her eyes roved of Michiga's casual look. She slowly stood, and began shakily walking closer to the sorceress. Her long blue legs came into sight, and she stopped to examine her feet. It was unreal. Was this the result of those experimental trials? They'd said there may be side-effects, but she'd thought the whole thing had failed and just made her sick... She looked up at Michiga, at how normal she now looked. Where the wings still there, but invisible? Had they never truly been there in the first place? Was she a shapeshifter? No, that wouldn't explain the storm. She thought about all the crazy reports that came from those with superpowers, and finally something clicked.
"Are you some sort of magic user?"
