Dogs have left their owners before, but never in these big of numbers. Something washed over the canines of the city that turned them to forget who fed them and cared for them. Some still remain with their owners, but all they remember now, is how badly they want to be free.

The doberman was a prized show dog. He won many competitions, but had also been passed around like an item. Fathering pups and then going home. He was used to traveling. But when his owners packed him up one day and drove him here, he hadn't a clue why. That was the past. Now, he had a pack to call his own. But there were other dangers that quickly came about. Other dogs were the most common, but the humans that remained hated the dogs. Out for their blood. That was why Pax took his pack and tucked them away in a old parking garage. That was where he found the most shelter.

The former service dog trotted throughout the streets looking for something to eat. Her white fur had been dirtied in the short time She had been alone. Arden was no stranger to life on the streets. For her very first months, this was where she remained. Then picked up and rescued to live a working dog life. She did love it, and wished she could go back. Her human needed her for every day life and now she was gone. As the collie mix trotted through the streets, she kept her head low. She then came across a trash can behind an old butcher shop where she found old meat in the trash. She pulled out a tossed cut and started to eat. This was her first meal in a few days so she appreciated it greatly.

Mav was a sled dog, here only shortly for a quick evaluation with his supposed new musher. When he left, he left with no care. His old musher was mean and pushed the dogs so hard that some died. If they didn't win a race, the musher would hurt the dog he blamed it on. They were kept outside and trained by fear, as opposed to respect. Maverick was a lead dog, and studded pups for his musher to make more money. Before the musher started to hurt the dogs, he was a good guy. Maverick was his personal pet. Then the guy started drinking and became to how he was that day. Mav was glad he left when he did, but felt guilty about the number of his team that didn't get out in time. They were most likely killed out of fear.

The husky mix was curled up in a ball in a corner and sleeping, dreams of his old team rushing to mind at every opportunity. He woke up with a loud bark and stood up shaking his fur.

All the dogs leaving at once made the golden female laugh. She was born and raised on the streets and the fact that all the dogs that swore their soft lives were better, left and are all in her place. She would never be a pet. Listening to a humans rules just didn't appeal her. As she walked out in the open confidently, she thought about what would cause the pets to come and live on the streets. Some of them even thought they could mess with her and get out of it. While small, she is a very skilled fighter and made a name for herself early on. After walking while, she went in front of a building and sat, sunning herself.

malificent - female - two years - pack.

malificent swayed her tail, letting out a small bark to scare off nearby birds. though they would've been great for the pack to eat, she wasn't much in a hunting mood. memories of her old past always showed up when she least wants it to be, her old owner, her old home, it was like a blur yet still there to tease her. her owner was very old, always needing her help to get around placed and to warn her from danger. when she passed she was introduced to a new owner in this city, which didn't last long. malificent fled the home and ended up running into the pack she soon started to live in. a gentle side glance went over to the alpha, before she looked straight out of the openings of the garage. she was on the second story, not caring about the others around her. with a small huff, she stood up and put her forepaws on the edge of the barrier, letting her look up and down the area. she stayed here for almost a year, and so far nothing has changed to her liking.

Corrina sat there as stated, until a scent drifted into her nose. It was of another dog. A pack dog. A smirk crept upon her face as she lifted herself to her paws and began trotting in that direction. Corrina was a good tracker, if not a great on, so it didn't take long to find the blue merle female up high. She began to find a way to get close to her, without drawing too much attention. She was on the second story, that was where the pack mainly lived. She decided to stay low and take a back route. It took a while, but after getting around, She hopped up by her with a sigh. Bored? she said glancing over the female swiftly.

Growing up on an abusive fun wasn't exactly the most exiting thing. Actually,
it sucks, no dog wants to be beaten with sticks or get thrown around all the time.
That's why living alone has what's made her into what she is today, very skilled,
knows her way around the city and fights for herself. She's doesn't mind the idea of
being in a small pack, But she also is very picky and stingy, even smart with who
she choses to speak with. She's heard about the mystical Pax, and passed him
a few times, but was never intrigued.

    Dakota || Male || 4 Years || German Shepherd

Dakota has always grown up on the streets, as a pup him and his siblings were put
in a box, and left in the streets, so anyone could take their beloved puppy home.
But nobody took him, because he's blind. I guess what most people don't understand,
Is that Dakota is a normal functioning dog, just can't see. He gets around the exact same way,
but uses his nose and ears. He's known as the streets canine, and is a loner. Being the loner he is,
he gets his own food and own water, he just has no desire to join a pack right now. He is open to a mate
    But not a pack exactly.

OOC: So i was thinking @applepie <3 maybe Arden find Dakota and eventually falls for him? I think that would be cute :D

malificent glanced over, shaking her head slowly. ``nice to see you are in your hoppy moods again.`` leaping off the barrier, she stood on all fours before searching the area for something exciting to do. of course, there was nothing really to her liking. the she-dog held no status in the pack, and it wasn't like she wanted to either way. stretching her body lightly, the shepherd swayed her tail before speaking once more to corrina. ``maybe we should go to the very top? we could see a lot more up there.`` a gentle bark was all she gave before turning to walk up the area. the ramps weren't steep, though it was indeed filled with junk that the pack has yet to clean it from. the cool breeze ruffled through her and she wanted it to continue. malificent wanted to be free, fly off to a paradise and sanctuary she could be welcomed in.

  • Noodles | male | pack healer | four years old
    ----

When one came to lay eyes upon the curly Ibizan hound, they usually came to the conclusion that he had been a former pet, a house-dog named by a young child. And they would be right. He stuck out like a sore thumb, a gentle face amid a sea of teeth. It was only fitting that he found a place for himself in the pack, as healer. He had always possessed a soft spot for flowers and bugs, being the soft ball of fur that he was. But he favored the smell of herbal plants above all. There was something incredibly soothing about the way they smelled... Unfortunately, they weren't always easy to find.

Noodles made his way down a street, an old leather satchel at his side. He often filled it with his remedies, and anything of interest he found during his travels outside of the pack's home. But at the moment, it was empty, though it still reeked of medicinal things. He let out a huff as he examined a few empty houses, searching for garden beds and anything that would signal a potential for plants.

As Arden walked after finishing her meat, the scent of another dog began to fill her nostrils. She froze with a lifted front paw and looked around slowly. Chocolate optics picked up on the figure of a dog (dakota). A large dog. She dropped to a crouch to stay low to the ground and hopefully out of sight.

The young dog stretched his legs and began to trot around as if waking his body up in a way. He had been sleeping for a while but not the whole night. He woke up in about the middle of the night and stayed up for a bit before going back to sleep. Looking around, the mutt lifted himself to his paws. He was going to go and explore the humans old houses. When most of them left, the just left. They didnt take any belongings and just drove. He started his way there, carefully crossing streets and watching out for other dogs.

Cordoba nodded and followed the other, making sure to stay out of Pax's sight. She didn't necessarily have the best past with him and didn't want to make her more of a target. While they walked Corrina decided to spark up conversation. So, how's old Paxy and his other minions doing? She said with a small smirk.

  • [center]

malificent kept walking, her attention finally getting snatched by a simple spark from the other. glancing over, she gave a small shrug before barking softly. ``don't know, don't talk to him really. i keep mind of my business, no one elses.`` as the two reached the top, she could feel the breeze hit her dead on. the pressure on the wind and the sight always amazed her. though the building was smaller than most of them buildings around, it was still amazing to be up there. jumping on top of a car, the she-dog stared into the sky. as if she was flying herself, she stared at the sky until finally saying something. ``one day i want to fly, fly somewhere where happiness can be.``

Then scent of another female filled his nose, he smirked before stopping and listening to her movement. Because of the face that he is blind, his hearing increases, along with his sense of smell.

Dakota began to make his way towards the female,
but keeping distance, showing he was no threat. He sniffed the air a bit before plopping down on his stomach and he lay there until the female spoke. Dakota twitched his ear with every movement that was made.

Arden felt a strange feeling rise in her chest as the male started walking towards her. By the way he moved, she guessed something was off with him. As he lay down she felt some stress go away, but there was still suspicion in the gaze. Who are you? She said in a not very questioning tone. Her ears pricked up as she studied him with a soft gaze.

Smart move. She said about her comment with the pack leader. He was poisonous from her point of view, and she wanted others to view him that way as well. She got to the top and knew how windy it would be. She held her ground with all her force. She sat in silence with the other female until she spoke. Its just an illusion. Cordoba said, her eyes remaining straight forward.

  • [center]

malificent looked over, eyes narrowing from her comment. ``is that so? then let's see if our alpha likes your comment.`` leaping off from the car, the shepherd pads passed by the other and down the slopes. she looked around before spotting the male where he normally is. ``hello pax, good morning. your little corrina here likes to talk behind your back.`` sitting down, she simply stared in the direction the dog was at, not caring about what will happen. she refuses for anyone to crush her dreams and thoughts. a place with hope is a place she wants to be in. her tail wag in a constant speed, slow and very rhythmic.

"You can call me Dakota" Dakota said, moments later as a sigh flew out of his mouth

"The blind German Shepherd stray" Dakota admitted, placing his head down on his front legs that lay in front of him.
"And you?" He said giving a simple look. He twitched his ears to the sound of her voice, it was soothing and untensed his stressed muscles from walking every day, and getting very little food. He rubbed his nose against his ribs, and felt his stomach growl beneath his skin.

Hearing Malificent come down, he looked her over questioningly. The shepherd tended to lay low in the pack so he was confused as to why she addressed him so early in the morning. As to you. He said. Hearing Corrinas name he rolled his eyes. That mutt was his least favorite dog ever, and he wasn't afraid to let her know. Does she now? Pax said with a very heavy mock questioning tone. He already threatened to kill her on sight of to see her again, and how that she was in his house, it made things alot easier. If you see the little snake again, I expect her to be brought here. Preferably alive, but I know some measures must be taken. He said with a devilish glint in his eye. He was done with her parading around like she owned everything.

I'm Arden. She said simply. She was intrigued the moment he said he was blind. How had he survived all these years without seeing, on the streets, when she could barely with fully functioning eyes. She saw how skinny the male was and she was instantly concerned. Do you need food? She asked plainly, tilting her head.

Its okay, I wouldn't expect pack rat who had it easy to understand. She exclaimed with a growl and started her way out. As soon as Malificent left, the golden dog was gone. A flash of shiny fur could be seen through the side parking garage as she jumped down to a lower level. After she got to the floor, she shook her fur out and started walking on, at a fast pace. She wasn't about to get caught and killed over a stupid thing.

  • [center]

a small huff was all she gave, the elegant shepherd simply watching over the area where the alpha stayed. it was hard indeed, dealing with all of these dogs that sees no reason to be free or already see themselves as free. ``whatever, your majesty,`` she mocked quietly. malificent wasn't the one that obeys by ranks, but by respect she ahs of the dog. the one she follows may be an omega for all she knows, but she only does it to survive. if an omega has the potential to take down an alpha, she will support that dog. if the alpha rules correctly then she will follow that dog instead, it all depends on what is there to risk. her eyes shifted over to the male, hearing of what he may do, ``you can't rule by fear, but by role modeling.`` a gentle yawn escaped her maw, making a small yipping noise as it ended. the scent of the she-dog was already fading, and she already knew why. each of the two hated each other, leaving malificent in the middle of it all. a rat of the pack, yes, that is a good name for her since she is loyal to the alpha at this point.

``it's all simple thinking really,`` she continued on after a few seconds of silence. ``ruling with fear will only backfire with aggression and rebellion. role modeling by having dogs do great deeds for the younger ones to follow will do more better. it would be already in their heads to act a certain way due to the fact their role model does it.`` laying down slowly, she looked beyond the barrier and straight at a building across from the parking lot the pack resides in. the sweet memories of her past started to fade, and each moment that fades her feel like she was losing herself. a hollow figure of a dog, walking around in complete darkness of whom they are. ``a mother and pup for instance,`` she barked to him. ``the pup will follow the mother's wishes, commands, and examples. if she forces it then when she isn't looking the pup will do the opposite.``

Dakota chuckled a bit, before giving an slightly emotionless look down to where his ribs were, then rubbing them with his nose once more. "No, i think ill be fine for now" Dakota said giving a small smiled before getting up and stretching his back legs. Dakota moved closer to the female, ad decided to lay beside her, being the friendly dog he is, his warm thick coat and body will keep her warm. Her fur wasn't ass that long from what he could feel, by rubbing his nose. "Now before you freak out, im blind.. so i use my nose to feel instead of eyes" He said smirking a bit. He leaned in closer as the cold breeze settled in, his warm body heat will definitely keep her warm.

Not all dogs think the same way. That's why some are out in the streets and we are here. Some may think leading by example is better and will follow. Others will walk all over you because you never put your foot down. He said, cropped ears flicking sharply. Brown eyes looked over the female before he stood and stretched. His breed didn't live very long. He only had so many years left, which made sense to why he was starting to move a bit slower. Especially in the cold season.

she gave the alpha a small praise for being able to move around nowadays. every dog knew that he wouldn't lived long, even everyone around here will soon die and perish. the shepherd matched his gaze, her eyes darting right at him before he left to stretch out his body. a small laughter was all she gave, standing up to match eye contact with the male. ``then you should watch out, elder alpha,`` she barked. her tailed stop swaying as she stretched out her own body to loosen up her joints. unlike the male, she was still in her prime, able to still run around and battle freely. traveling the streets on her own would be easy, though there is too many opponents to freely run around the streets. not only does she have to worry about the other outsiders, but she would have to worry about the pack as well. right now, her only enemies is the outsiders not the pack and she was glad about that part. feeding herself was a lot easier due to the fact it's a group effort to feed the pack.

looking back over to the male she stayed where she was, which was about five feet away from the alpha dog. ``with your old joints coming already, you better find a dog to take over the rank. from what i remember, our beta hasn't been announced now has it?`` being just as cunning as always, she sat down to simply tease him a little more. she had no wantings to be a higher rank, so teasing him was all as much fun as not. finally her tail swayed from side to side, enjoying her little fun. ``time isn't on your side, elder alpha.``
