  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]Sweetophelia was leaving camp, headed towards the giant staircase that connected the main island to the territory below. The BlizzardClan leader found more free time for herself after her first apprentice, Wisteria, had been promoted to Medic Trainee, with Kamari as her new mentor. Mikasa, her second apprentice, wasn't often able to show up for training sessions either as the young Trainee was often more preoccupied with caring for her brother, Eren, who had recently lost his leg at the hands of the Cartel.

  • [align=justify]As had come to be the usual over the last few days, Orchid was wandering around aimlessly. He had simply been traveling around the territory, reacquainting himself with it after his long absence. The solid black cat found himself following his previously trodden paths, the routes he would usually take when he used to travel around the territory. He remembered this one; it was from when he was a kitten and him and Wisteriakit had left the camp to find the edge of the island, what seemed like ages ago. As he came to the staircase that they had looked down together, he caught sight of Sweetophelia standing there. He corrected his stance subconsciously, the same way he used to do when Tama would show up. Honestly, he was still getting used to the fact that Tama was now gone. However, dwelling on the past wouldn't change anything. He pushed the thoughts from his mind and made himself move closer, greeting the leader. [color=lightblue]"Sweetophelia. It's nice, to see you again. Mind if I ask what you're doing here?"

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]Tama had been leader for a long time, hadn't she? But Sweetophelia had only been in BlizzardClan for the last months of Tama's leadership. Oftentimes she still remembered the late BlizzardClan leader as a child, they had grown up together in BlizzardClan when Feliks was still leader. Sweetophelia had been the vice-leader then, and Tama, a head paladin alongside Matty. It was strange how quickly time passed by.

"Hello, Orchid." She remembered the black-and-white feline as one of the older members of the clan becoming reacquainted with the current state of life, but aside from that Sweetophelia had had few chances to speak to him directly. "I was just about to head down to the old territory, actually." The Targaryen blinked, "You?"

  • [align=justify]"Wandering along old paths I used to follow," he explained, looking over at her as she spoke. [color=lightblue]"I was actually thinking of heading down as well, if you don't mind me joining you?" he suggested, hoping he wasn't overstepping his boundaries since he really didn't know Sweetophelia too well at the moment. However, there was no harm to him getting to know her, right? If he intended to establish his presence in BlizzardClan, knowing the leader better wouldn't hurt.

It did make him think, however, about his old lives. He'd been in many situations like this, in other bodies and other Clans. It was odd to be with yet another person, in this same place, having the same conversation. Maybe it would mean something to him later on, but for the moment, he couldn't figure out the reasoning behind it for the life of him. Orchid decided to focus on the present instead, letting his thoughts of the past drift away as he turned his attention back to the ragdoll cat.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]"Not at all," Sweetophelia confirmed, shaking her head lightly. "I don't mind the company." In fact, she was thinking much along the same lines as Orchid, that it would make for a good opportunity for conversation and establishing an acquaintanceship. The BlizzardClan leader had always been an extroverted animal, one inclined towards conversation and establishing networks. Now that she sat at the top of the BlizzardClan hierarchy, Sweetophelia was putting in a renewed effort to welcome every new animal into the clan with the hopes that they would feel to be treated well and appreciated. "Do you have any particular sites in mind?"

Her interest in the old territory had been piqued after it was discovered that the Phantom had taken members of RiverClan hostage and hidden them in one of the old caves down below. Although the RiverClanners had since been rescued, Sweetophelia's curiosity was now aroused.

  • [align=justify]A relieved smile made it's presence known as it pulled at the corner of his lips. The apprentice began to move his paws forward, one after the other, ready to start walking down. "Great! We could get to know each other a little better," the tom commented, sending a grin her way. Her inquiry about a site to visit made him think for a moment before he found a suggestion. "There was a glade I found a while back in the forest. We could visit that, perhaps?" he offered after a minute of thinking, having stopped walking while he searched for an answer. It had been a while back, when he was still a kitten, the first time around. It truly was a beautiful place, so he thought Sweetophelia might enjoy or appreciate it.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]"That sounds fine to me," Sweetophelia agreed, nodding for the black-and-white apprentice to continue on walking. She had spent much of her life in BlizzardClan, but the Targaryen was keenly aware of the fact that not all parts of the territory was known to her - particularly after the Phantom incident where it was discovered that RiverClanners had been kept prisoners in the less travelled mountain ranges in BlizzardClan's original territory. But she didn't like to dwell on that incident too often.

"You know, I've noticed that you seem to be friendly with Wisteria. Were you two friends before?" Wisteria, her former apprentice, had revealed to her that she was living on her second life, but Sweetophelia still had yet to discover much details from the Medic Trainee's original life. Sweetophelia herself was a reincarnation, but once the discovery came out, she had tried her best to continue on living as Sweetophelia, not often acknowledging the part of her life she had spent being called "Alys".
    space

  • [align=justify]he flushed when she gestured for him to keep walking, quickly speeding up to walk beside her once more. He let his mind drift as they walked for a few seconds in silence, letting memories run through his mind as he moved down step by step. Soon enough, Sweetophelia's voice broke him out of his thoughts, causing him to focus on what she was saying.

'Were you two friends before?' That was an understatement. Their relationship was... complicated, to say the least. He wasn't sure how to describe what they had been. They had always been friends, but they had also dated at one point... And then there was the avoidance, the fighting, arguing, lashing out. Getting angry at each other because he left then being pissed because he came back. There wasn't really a word to define it. Instead of going into detail and explaining this to her, he decided to simply shrug. "Yeah. We were friends before," Orchid responded, taking a look over at her for a second before returning his gaze to ahead of him. He didn't want to trip while going down the stairs, and tripping was a sure way to do that. He didn't want a repeat of the Exiles incident.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]"Hmm," Sweetophelia blinked slowly, deciding against pursuing the matter much further. The BlizzardClan leader was certain that there was more to the story but if Orchid wasn't willing to divulge the details the first time, she wouldn't pry. It was interesting though, because Sweetophelia had also noticed Wisteria's friendship with Storm. She had always been the curious sort, but Sweetophelia never would have guessed that there were some old feelings between that particular pair as well.

"Well I'm glad - she's a nice girl." Smiling slightly, Sweetophelia continued, "But I expect that you find that much has since changed in BlizzardClan?" New leader, new high positions, new faces. Of course some things had remained consistent but when Sweetophelia herself had first returned to BlizzardClan, the only familiar faces she found were Tama, Matty, and Mary. She wondered if Orchid had made friends with the newer members, and had hoped that he had. Life got lonely without friends, people who knew you, who cared about you and had your back no matter what. "You're an older member, aren't you? When did you first join?" Or perhaps he had been born into BlizzardClan.
    space

  • [align=justify]"Yeah, so much has changed since I disappeared. I mean, almost all of the high positions are different and so many of the faces I knew just disappeared after the blue and were replaced by people I don't recognize. Adjusting is... weird, to say the least." That seemed like a sufficient answer to her question, and he was sure he had had actually gotten just a bit off track as well. That was alright, though, as she quickly went one to ask another question and continue the conversation.

"Well," he began, wondering where to start. "I was born here at first, then lost my memory and left before returning when my mother, er... 'kidnapped' me from the Exiles. Then I disappeared again after I... well, hurt a couple people under the influence of someone else's words. I came back after a while, but I don't know if that counts since nobody knew who I was." Orchid paused, realizing he was beginning to ramble. His face flushed, and he decided to wrap up his story quickly. "An Exiler killed me after that, and... someone, I can't remember who, helped me get reincarnated, so I came back and joined as Avalon as soon as possible." He let out a quick huff of a breath, realizing he had done nothing to get himself back on track. "But if you mean as Orchid... After I realized who I was as Avalon, I changed my name to Ghostpaw again. I don't remember how but I ended up dying again and came back as a kitten, and called myself Orchid and joined a couple of months ago." Finally, he was done. God, he really hadn't meant to ramble on.

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]Sweetophelia nodded along as the black-and-white feline spoke, listening intently. "That all sounds very... exciting," she remarked with vague amusement. His life had been rather chaotic, hadn't it? "I was similar to you - in the way that I also felt out of place when I returned to BlizzardClan." She wasn't going to give him her whole life story - she would probably blab about it later on at some point. "I joined BlizzardClan very young when Feliks was still leader. It was there that I met Riddlersgame and Matty - Tama came to join us later. It was all exciting times and I eventually became vice-leader under Feliks." Hakunapaw - her adoptive brother - had been the deputy. Matty and Tama had been head paladins, and Riddlersgame a paladin as well.

"I resigned and I left." She had came to live with Tsubodai for a time, but Sweetophelia didn't much like actually discussing that part of her life aloud. "When I returned to BlizzardClan everything and everyone was different. All of the animals I knew was gone - Lostboy, Feliks, Tofubeats, Arcade, Shootingblanks, Riddlersgame, the list went on." Of course, she had had the fortune of coming back as a reincarnation and thusly their loss had not impacted her too heavily until later on.

"It was all very disorientating, but I eventually got used to the hang of things." Blinking, she wondered aloud, "When you were born - who was leader?" Was Feliks still leading BlizzardClan when Orchid had been first born? Or had Tama already stepped up from Head Paladin to become leader? (Much like Sweetophelia on this life, Tama had skipped a few ranks before ascending to the leadership of BlizzardClan.)
    space

  • [align=justify]She was definitely right about one thing; his life so far had been way too chaotic. He was ready for it to calm down, for him to maybe finally be happy. But he wasn't going to think about that right now. He was talking to Sweetophelia, and she deserved to have him listen to her. He tuned in to what she was saying as she began to speak about how she had felt out-of-place in BlizzardClan. His ears perked up and he began listening more intently, wanting to catch every word so he could understand what she meant.

He recognized the names, though he hadn't spoken to many of the people she mentioned. Feliks he had heard of, but he had been gone before he was born. he remembered him visiting once, he believed, but he wasn't completely sure. Riddlersgame and Matty he recognized the names of, due to the former currently being a part of the Clan and the former having been close to Tama. Speaking of Tama, she was next to be mentioned. She was the one he knew best out of the bunch, having actually spoken to her before. He also might consider her as a friend, albeit not a close friend as Wisteria and some others who had since disappeared were.

Sweetophelia went on, listening even more names that were completely foreign to him. That is, except one. he recognized the name Lostboy, as she had been an important member of the Clan for a long time. She also happened to have been the mother of his best friend. Soon the leader went on to talk about how she had gotten used to things; Orchid was sure he would too, but having had this experience in the past, he knew how long it could take. Finally, she asked him one more question. "Tama," he stated, glancing over at her again as they reached the bottom of the stairs. "From the day I was born until... well, you know."

  • [center][fancypost= width: 450px; text-align: justify;][size=11][font=timesnewroman]"She was a fine leader," Sweetophelia remarked. Imagine Sweetophelia's surprise when she had finally returned to BlizzardClan only to discover that it was Tama who had succeeded Feliks? As word went, the winged serval had been Head Paladin when she was elevated to leader - seeing as Feliks had taken ill with no vice-leader or deputy to succeed him. Sweetophelia pitied her former mentor - for she had been his last vice-leader, and her adoptive brother, Hakunapaw, had been Feliks' last deputy.

But Feliks was no longer the animal he once was, and she had lost most of her affection for him. "I was not so close to her as I was to Matty - he was my first friend in BlizzardClan, my closest too. And she was always closer to Riddlersgame - they were like siblings, you know. But we were all part of the same friends group - we grew up together in BlizzardClan, you know. So I was terribly sad when Tama and Matty left." Tama had died, while Matty had disappeared, returned, and then disappeared again. "What was life like then? I only rejoined during her last months of leadership so I missed the beginning."
