• So, apparently, the one moment I relax and take a break from looking after my children, one of them sneaks away and returns with more children, Maplemeadows thought to herself as the approached the group, eyeing Crybaby with her amber gaze. "Welcome to StormClan, Crybaby," she meowed to the newcomer before turning her attention to Goldenkit. "So...where have you been, with this exploring?"

    //Hello, welcome!

  • Goldenkit !

    she/her - attack in #ffcc00 - Stormclan - Maplemeadows X Lakeeye - 5 moons

She had thought the person whom named Crybaby was rather cruel, also, but she had already found the positive in her name. That was what Goldenkit had a notorious knack for- finding the positive in literally everything. Everything. The positive in Crybaby's name was that when she grew into a strong, formidable foe, other cats would underestimate her because of her name, and then Crybaby would win every fight! She'd be like an unstoppable machine. She looked rather proud of this as her brother talked to Crybaby, but then stiffened as their mother walked up.

"Haha, hi mooom!" She gave a sheepish grin, one that already gave away her guilt for her. She flicked her tail back and forth, thinking, trying to come up with something. "Around the border," She lied. That wouldnt have as many repurcussions. "She was crying and hurt and hungry!"

  • Crybaby's eyes watered a bit at Spellkit's question. She looked down at her paws tears falling to the ground as she did. "I would rather... not" she swid her body starting to shiver violently.

When she saw the oleer cat she squeaked and shivered more, her weakness showing through

  • Spellkit was taken aback by the tears for some reason. The girl's name was Crybaby after all. Still, he didn't like it. Spell gaped at the white kitten, floundering for reassuring words. When he saw that his mother frightened her, he finally popped out with something, eager to calm her. "I-it's okay. Sorry I asked." he said, moving towards her cautiously, "How about we be your family?" Spell hated to see other kids upset, but he never quite knew what to say to make people feel better. After all, he was about as smooth as abandoned road with rocks dumped all over it.

  • Crybaby's eyes widened at the question as she turned around. The sun was starting to set, its pink and soft orange colors dilling the sky and making her tears seem to sparkle like diamonds. The small kit opened her mouth and found herself saying in a voice, weak and soft "You... you barely know me and you would offer that?" A small smile crossed her face, the last of her tears sliding down her face and falling to the ground before they could freeze to her white fur. This is a second chance Crybaby, finally a second chance. She found herself smiling wide and saying, though her voice was still wracked with weakness and shivered like a leaf blown about like an autumn breeze struggling to stay on the tree, "Thank you... so much"

"Yeah, yeah! That'll be fun. It'll be like a sleepover- except you'll always get to sleep over!" Goldenkit jumped happily, attention torn from what she was focusing on with Maplemeadows. Yes, this would be wonderful. They would adopt her, and they would be one big happy family! She looked rather dreamy at the sight of it, even sighing happily.

  • Spellkit breathed a sigh of relief when the Crybaby stopped crying. "Yeah, of course." he told her, "We'd be happy to have you." Spellkit knew he didn't mind adopting another sibling, and he supposed it didn't matter much whether his mother cared or not. It wasn't like she would have to pay any attention to her. Maplemeadows probably wouldn't see Crybaby at all actually, considering she never saw her own kids either and that's who Crybaby would be living with. He felt good that he could make another kid that happy. Spell gave a purr of contentment.

  • A smile lit up Crybaby's face. She seemed to shiver less but that shiver was still there. Her body being just skin and bones shivered much more, being way more affecting by the cold wind that seemed to pass every once in a while

  • Spellkit noticed this and moved close to Crybaby, hoping his long fur might help warm her. Placing his fluffy tail around the white kitten, he looked at her apologetically. "I'm not trying to be weird, I just don't want you to get sick or anything. We should get you somewhere warm." he said awkwardly. Spell turned to his sister, "Goldie, should we show her the den?"

  • Crybaby smiled greatfully up at Spellkit hee shivering still present but not as severe as it was. Her black tail curled around her feet while she waited for Goldenkits response

"Sure, it'll be great!" Goldenkit jumped with her own uncontained joy, and after making sure that everyone was following, she headed off towards the den that they shared. "She can get warm, and we can get her some food, and she can get settled in!" The small kit was also very eager to avoid the confrontation with her mother about wondering where she was.

"We'll talk later, mom!" It was a risky move, and a risky sentence to tell Maplemeadows, but she was going to try and avoid that conversation at all costs. She took off towards the den.

  • Crybaby followed Goldenkit, while still being shrouded by Spellkits long fur. Her shivering still came once in a while but it has subsided for the most part for now. Her blue eyes were glowing with hunger still.

  • Spellkit made sure to hold his tail high as he walked alongside Crybaby so that he wouldn't accidentally trip her with it. Once they had reach the den, the kit withdrew. "This is the nursery." he informed Crybaby, "I could always give you a tour of the camp later if you want." Spell felt a personal obligation t do whatever he could for the kit because she was far worse off than him. While his failed social interactions with his mother sometimes made him feel alone, Crybaby didn't even have a mother to interact with. Neither did she have siblings that could always make her smile like Spell did. Not until now, at least. "Why don't I go grab you some food?" Spell offered, figuring she must be very hungry.

  • "Alright, then." Spellkit mewed to himself and scurried off to grab her some food. The little tabby tom returned shortly with a mouse held firmly between his jaws. Spell placed the rodent gingerly in front of Crybaby. "I'll go back if you want more." he said.

"This is going to be GREAT!" The small kitten mewed, already bouncing. A new friend, a new adopted sister, and she had managed to slip under the radar of where she had found Crybaby in the first place.

"We'll have lots of fun! Decorating the den, playing games, and when we're apprentices we can all go hunting together!" She smiled brightly, almost literally leaping for joy.

  • Crybaby smiled at Goldenkits enthusiasm. She sat in the den her smile still on her face. She quietly asked "Hey guys, why do both of you have 'kit' on the end of your name?" She asked politelt, genuinly curious

  • "Because we're kits in the clan. It's like a rank thing." Spell explained, realizing how it must seem funny to the other kit. "When we're apprentices in a moon, we'll be Spellpaw and Goldenpaw, and then we'll get our real names when we're warriors."

  • Crybaby tilted her head slightly before saying "Oh, cool" suddenly something popped into her head "Now that I am here will i have to change my name as well?" She asked her blue eyes glowing with curiosity as she asked.

  • Spell gave a small smile at her question, somewhat amused by it. Though the tabby had never been a kittypet, he knew that life with humans was nothing like clan life. "No, you don't have to." Spell told her, "But you can if you want to." Honestly, he wouldn't blame her if she wanted to; Crybaby wasn't a very nice name to give anyone. However, if she wanted to keep that name, he wouldn't comment. Who knows, perhaps she might feel some kid of personal attachment to the name.
