  • TRADITIONAL WINDCLAN GUIDE / HP REQUEST

Windclan is a clan well-known for their skinnier forms and shorter brown and grey pelts, with strong, long legs fit for the moors that they have claimed in the past moons. All cats, from elders to kits and medicine cats to leaders, exhibit fiercely loyal and tough traits, as well as witty personalities used to trick and outsmart cats from outside their clan. Windclan cats pride themselves on being the closest to Starclan, due to their practice of sleeping out in the open rather than in dens, and how close they are to the moonstone compared to the other clans. They also have the most knowledge of twolegs, as they live nearby the farms.

★ OUR CAMP: Windclan's camp is a sturdy, hidden little hollow in the middle of the moor; it is practically carved out of the moor itself. The edges are ringed by gorse and heather, among other common moor grasses, and the entrance is an upward slope, packed down hard by hundreds of paws over the years, that leads out into the central moor. There are few proper dens; most warriors and apprentices prefer to sleep under the open Silverpelt as this puts them closer to their beloved ancestors, Starclan. There are a couple of dens, however; the leader has one behind the Tallrock, and the elders den, medicine den, and nursery are all tucked into the earth surrounding the hollow. They are dug out and shielded by woven stacks of grass. The Tallrock is the centerpiece of camp, though it is at the edge; it is where the leader speaks from when they are performing ceremonies or holding meetings, and behind it, is their den. The fresh kill pile is in the center of camp, accessible to all cats.

★ THE TERRITORY: Windclan's territory happens to be closet to the Highstones, and is a wide, open expanse of moorlands, fit for cats that love running and feeling the wind brush through their fur. The territory is wedged between the Thunderpath and the river that divides it from Riverclan. Windclan's territory is scarcely dotted with trees (and if there are trees, they appear to be skinny and measly in comparison to the great oaks that Thunderclan has) but plentiful with rabbit burrows and the like, as their main source of prey is, of course. East of the camp is the Outlook Rock, a large rock from where the moorland can be overseen; a popular spot for apprentices and warriors alike to relax or enjoy the day. South of the camp is an abandoned badger set, a source of prey for the clan. The moors are almost hollow with tunnels, some made by animals, others by underground streams. Windclan cats no longer use them to move through their territory; although those skilled in doing so were trained as tunnelers but the practice of training tunnelers has long been forgotten.

WindClan follows the warrior code, which can be found here.
