  • Max and Marlow are twins who just turned 17 years old. They are abused by their father for different reasons. Marlow because she looks so much like her mother and Max because he found him kissing a boy, revealing his bisexuality. The two don't want to live with their father another second and decide to run away. They run to the next town where they meet your characters, also siblings and on the run. The four of them hit it off and decide to try to survive the world together. They all have their reasons to be on the run and as they try to run from their pasts, they might just find romance as well.

Marlow sighed as she sat on the bench that was provided at the bus stop, her head against Max's shoulder. His eye was still bruised from the night before."Are you sure you are okay?"She asked softly. Their father had caught Max with a boy, they were both shirtless and kissing. Max claimed that he was bisexual but Marlow knew how insecure he was about his sexuality. He had only ever kissed guys and has never shown interest in girls. He also could braid her hair ten times better than she ever could. Max was most likely gay, but he wouldn't admit it."I'm fine, sis."Max replied with a small smile. Marlow had always been the quieter out of the two of them, years of abuse had caused her tone afraid of what other people might do to her if they were mad. Max was different, he was her twin brother. They shared a deeper connection then regular siblings. Marlow knew he was gay, but she would never push the issue.

Max stared down at his sister, smiling to reassure her that everything was fine. He wouldn't have her worrying about him. Max knew deep down that there was no way that he could ever fall in love with a girl, but his father always told him that being gay was something that only freaks did. He spoke like it was a choice. Max heard the sound of the bus coming and he stood up, taking his sister's hand and squeezing it. This was it, they were actually doing it. Max glanced at Marlow."You ready?"He asked with a smile. Marlow nodded, she was never much of talker. Max took out his wallet and got on the bus, paying the bus driver before going to go sit down. He took the outside while Marlow took the window seat. There was no turning back now, they were actually on their own.

  • Mason is 19 and his sister is 16, they had a drunk abusive father and a mom who trafficked herself and her children for drug money, Mason got fed up with it, the only thought in his mind was to protect his sister, he got his fathers gun and threatened his parents till they let him and Addie leave.

    Mason Daniels:

Mason held onto his sisters hand reassuringly as they walked along the cold night, Mason didn't know exactly where they would be staying but he had a few options cross his mind. They could sleep in the ditch which would be a bit cold, but Addie could have his jacket and he might be able to start a fire with his old lighter, or they could sleep on the bus until they stopped running at around 4 a.m he decided that was their better option~
"Come on Addie." Mason said and lead her to the nearest bus stop where they sat awaiting it to arrive.

    Addie Daniels:

Addie nodded to her brother as they sat on the bus bench, the night was freezing and she found herself thinking that they should just turn back, at least they had food and a roof over their head. It was better than being out here. Addie was snapped back to reality when she felt Masons jacket being placed around here.
"I know what you're thinkin', Addie, and their ain't nothin' for us back there. You hear?" Mason said hugging her. Addie just nodded her response once more and turned to see a bus coming along the street. The two stood up and they got onto the bus. Mason reached into his pocket pulling out a quarter.
"That'll be 50 cents for the pair of you." The bus driver said.
"Look I only have a quarter, man please?" Mason said then looked to his sister that was already seated. He sighed and put the quarter in.
"Fine, just for her then." Mason said.
    "Mason-"
"No Addie, just...call me on a payphone when you get somewhere okay? Ill go back to the house and steal moms phone or something, just warm up and try to get some rest." Mason nodded.

Margo could hear the conversation between the two boys. She assumed they were brothers and she felt bad that they had to be seperated because they didn't have any money. She took out a quarter from her pocket and stood up before Max could protest. She walked up to the front and walked to the shorter boy, though he was still taller than her."Um, here..."She said softly, holding out the coin to him. She then turned around and went back to go sit next to Max, who was glaring slightly at her."What?"She said with a frown.

Max stared at his twin."You know what! We have to worry about ourselves before we worry about other people. It's just you and me."He said as grabbed her hand and gently squeezed it before shaking his head with a smile. Marlow was too nice for her own good, it was a good trait at times but she also was naive. It was one of the reasons why he held onto the majority of their money and not her. She would see a homeless man on the streets and give it all to him. He glanced at the boys who Marlow had given their money to, hopefully it wasn't a scam.

  • Mason looked up as the young girl handed him a quater. Taking it gently. "T-Thank you..." Mason nodded, taken aback from the hospitality shown. He gave the quarter to the bus driver with a glare before going to sit down beside Allen. He turned to face the two siblings behind him.
"Im Mason, this is Allen, again, thanks." He nodded his greeting

  • Marlow looked over at the two boys and smiled, her cheeks were little red."No problem..."She said with a small smile. Max frowned at the two boys."Don't except it though, you need to learn how to fend for yourself."He said grumpily. Marlow slapped his arm lightly."Sorry, he's had a bad day."She said softly, glancing at his black eye.

  • "Hey listen here, I'm just thanking her for doing something that she didn't have to do okay? I'm not trying to start anything with someone I barley know." Mason snapped, his eyes narrowed. "You don't wanna help us out? Thats fine by me, but dont go telling us that we can't fend for ourselves." He glared before turning to face out the front of the bus as the driver made his way down the silent street.
Allen looked back at Marlow and smiled nodding his thanks to her giving her a Hes-not-always-like-this look.

  • Marlow frowned and gently slapped Max's arm."Please don't be rude to them."She said softly and rested her hand on top of his. Max glanced at her then back at the two boys."My name is Max and Marlow is my twin sister."He added. Marlow smiled at them, trying to make up for her brother's rudeness."Where are you guys going?"She asked curiously.

  • "We're just riding the bus till it closes at 4, then we're gonna try to find a place to stay for a while." It was Allen who had answered this time and Mason looked at him.
"Yea he's right, there was a little...situation back at our house and we couldn't just stay to see how things turned out, y'know what I mean?" Mason said, thinking about the small handgun he had in his pants, he felt that there were a few things he was going to have to do to make sure him and Allen didn't die. He started thinking about robbing a gas station. He wanted to get some money to buy himself and Allen a hotel room and...perhaps...even his new acquaintances.

  • Max glanced at them."We are doing the same. I emptied out every bank account that our father has so hopefully we have enough money until we can find a place to settle."He said as he glanced at Marlow, who was staring at her lap. Marlow wanted to forget that the past 17 years of her life had ever happened.
