Skygaze took notice of her now drooping tail and wondered if he had said something wrong. His alert ears lowered a bit as he heard her sigh before listening to her. “Don’t worry, everything will be fine. It’s a very hard thing to do but he needs to learn how to fend on his own and then when he becomes a great wolf, he can stand by your side again. And I’m certain that he’ll make you very proud, whichever route he chooses.” Sky assures her in a calm manner. He wasn’t completely sure what path her pup would take but only time will tell if something happens. Hopefully he can correctly interpret whatever message the Great Alpha will send him.
Shadestrider finished his small meal, his tongue hungrily licked around his jowls effectively cleaning off the blood that covered it. He was still hungry but the pang of it had died down a bit. He stared at the carcass he had eaten and wondered if he should move it. He had unconsciously realized that he had chased the rabbit into the territory of the wolf pack. He hadn’t meant to go in this far but he was still at the boundaries, he knew. His ears perked up as he became alert once more to the sounds of the forest. Stepping into the bounds of the territory, he had to make sure he wasn’t spotted. Though it still gnawed at him at how he wasn’t sure how to find his way into this pack.
