The former leader of the pack, Blackwater, was a brutal tyrant. He would mate with females indiscriminately. He did not want his power challenged, so he would murder the male pups, some his own sons. The wolves of his pack had had enough, and rose up against Blackwater, their leader being Blackwater's only surviving son, Whitecaster. A bloody battle began inside their pack. Unfortunately, only a few survived, since Blackwater did have his own followers. The remaining few became the new pack, renaming themselves the Pack of Misty Paths. Whitecaster became leader of the pack. Others, those who did not become Lone wolves, stayed and accepted him as their Alpha. The story begins as the pack finds their new territory in a forest plagued by thick mist.

    Time of day: Morning

Flicking his tail in annoyance, Whitecaster's ears perked at the sound of crickets and birds awaking in the morning. He dreaded waking up this early in the morning, but he did anyway. Everyday he woke up this early to assume the duties of his rank as Alpha of his pack. He slowly stood, shaking out his fur, particles of dust flying from the ends. His lithe body stretched out, the muscles in his legs constricting. He slept in the smallest den, as he knew how much space the others would need, but his legs often suffered. He slid out of the hole in the side of the hill he frequently slumbered in. After marking his territory on the outskirts of the camp, he ventured out into the middle of their little clearing. The mist had gathered around their camp, shrouding most of the other dens in fog. Whitecaster was use to this by now, and could make out the outlines of the other mounds of grass-covered dirt in the distance.

Heaven laid barely awake in the den with several other Gammas, Xerxes tucked tightly near her warm belly. She knew he still snuck to sleep at her side in the middle of the night, but wondered why. She knew she should stop him from being so dependent on her, but couldn't help wanting to keep his close. She recalled how she would have lost him in the past if she hadn't kept him away from the others. She was happy that he could now be safe, and not have to worry about any dangers within his own pack. She quietly rolled away from him a little, slightly bumping into another wolf. She paused, not wanting to wake anyone, lest her own pup. She stood slightly, and carefully stepped over the other wolves who occupied the same space. Finally making it out of the den without disturbing anyone, she took in her surroundings. As she stretched, she noticed how much fog had appeared in their camp overnight. She sat outside of the den, and began cleaning her fur a bit, getting bits of dirt out of her paws.

Dreaming of hunting birds, Xerxes lay asleep in the den. The birds in his dream suddenly got louder, as if they were real. He didn't awake though, and continued chasing those annoying birds. Somehow, he caught one this time. His legs twitched in his sleep, running through the air.

Axis has been awake for some time. He laid outside one of the dens, looking into the woods. He itched to get out of the camp and hunt with the others, but knew he should wait for some to awaken. Becoming quite bored, he began to play in the dirt somewhat, digging slightly at insects who made their homes there. Seeing Whitecaster emerge from his den, his tail wagged excitedly. Axis felt the urge to run to Whitecaster, but reminded himself how that probably wouldn't be a very good idea. He sat, shuffling his paws as he patiently waited for orders. He hoped they would catch a deer this time.

Magnus grunted at the sounds of the outside creeping into his slumber. He could feel the slight cold on his paws. Having to sleep outside of the dens is no joke, as the ground was much more uncomfortable than the soft dirt inside the dens. He flipped his body over from laying on his back, and shook almost violently the dirt and leaves from his pelt. He had wished to sleep longer, but knew that he would most likely have to attend every Hunt or patrol that would happen today. He hoped the trainees were staying in the camp this time, as he knew he would have to pick up the slack from their mistakes. Scratching the side of his neck, he sniffed around, looking to see if any others were awake.

  • Cloudchaser laid in his den as he listened to the sound of birds singing. He always enjoyed listening to the peaceful yet whimsical sound of the various chirpings mixed into one. Even though he couldn’t understand their meanings, it still intrigued him. Cloud had been awake for a while actually; he always awoke earlier than others, as his body had scheduled itself to wake when the first bird began to sing. He finally felt that it was time for him to get up and scout around the camp. With a thump of his white creamy tail against the ground he pushed his body up, ever so cautiously, before standing tall. A yawn escaped the jowls of his mouth before he turned to face the exit. He grew accustomed to feeling the light breeze of wind that came through the opening of his den, even though the breeze was faint to the others. He followed the breeze until he was outside, he could tell by the coldness of the ground beneath him and vast amount of air he could breathe in. He could smell just about everything, Whitecaster and Heaven were nearby. He lazily began to stretch himself in order to get ready for the morning routine.

Raindance was curled in the back of the den that was occupied by other female Gammas like her. She had tucked herself into the smallest of corners, making herself to appear like a ball of fur. She didn’t like being that close to the other wolves and only took to huddling against the others when she needed the warmth. But for now it wasn’t too cold for her to feel the need to do so. Her tail lightly flicked before it curled around her as she shifted a bit to a more comfortable position. She was half awake and was going to wait for a bit more wolves to leave the cramped den before leaving it herself.

It was unknown to Skygaze himself when he had awaken but he usually woke up earlier than the others. He liked to sleep at the edge of dens, closer to the entrance so that he could easily leave the warm earthy shelter without stumbling over the others. Sky knew that it wasn’t the best idea as he could get sick one day, but if he didn’t do this he would stumble over the wolves he had a hard time seeing. Every morning he took a small journey, sitting at the rim of the dens, he stayed close to the others. Ever since Magnus had joined, he would have a few incidents over him tripping over the other wolf, as he could not see him at all. But he made sure today not to stumble over the Omega, as it's rude and embarrassing for him. Sky would usually groom himself once he exited the den and then find his normal area that he liked to sit in. Once there, he sat upright and curled his brown tail around his body as he gazed off into the sky. It was much blurrier than usual so he assumed that maybe the fog had increased, though he couldn’t directly see it himself. When it had gotten this foggy, it always piqued his interest at how a dull gray blur would encapture the sky and shift lazily across his view. His ears perked up as he listened to the birds and sounds of other wildlife awakening. He wondered if the Great Alpha would send a message or if the Great Alpha was there. Nonetheless he dutifully greeted him like usual, despite if he answered or not. He wondered when the others would awake and decided to go back once he heard more movement from them.

occ; can I please use the fancy, I have been trying to fix mine from FF but the converter doesn't actually fix mine Q.Q

The dreary mist that enveloped the outskirts of the camp seemed to match Stormchill's state of mind, her eyes fluttering lazily against the harmonic noise from the birds singing and twittering. Her ears did not really mind the song, it could have actually led her back to the slumber she had been cherishing through the frosty night. And yet she knew that their music meant it was early morning and that it was quiet likely the sun was peaking over the horizon to shine it's first lights of the day. That which also meant it was time for her to rise from her cozy position, her own heated fur curled in a ball against a wall. One of the more larger females she opted for a space next to the entrance of the Gamma's den where as she deduced that some of the other females would have become ill due to the elements that speared through the opening during the chilling nights. Whilst yawning enormously, not entirely considering that it could stir the other sleeping mounds of fur in the cavern, she began to survey whom remained in the den. There was a female who'd stirred and had yet to leave. This puzzled her, for surely she knew it was time to pop outside and await for an early morning order from the Alpha if not from one of the Betas. Her face scrunched in disappointment but kept her jaws clamped, it was too early for her to start getting irritated by such small things. Her stormy irises revitalizing with determination and will for the day again sized up the remnants of the den before exiting with brisk grace. Just as she had guessed the earth, hard and cold, sat quietly beneath the lingering blankets of gray fog. Initially the presence of it was a nuisance to her, it made things difficult to see, but now it was just another element that was simply there. Like a mere plant or a plain of grass, a tree. Another observation she made, most of the males were up and out ready for a hearing from the Alpha himself who was also outside. The distant female had nodded her morning greeting as she realized Heaven was outside, in the middle of cleaning herself. Her tail wagged low in annoyance, waiting for other to drag their rears outside, there were still a few missing. She inwardly huffed, not everyone was like her disciplined self and she had to remind herself this begrudgingly. Her energy making her legs and feet jittery so she began pawing rhythmically at the ground, grinding the dirt with her claws.

  • Venus - Gamma
    talking - thinking

everything was silent, nothing but black around the area. a small blaze lit, revealing one black she-wolf within the darkness. it was herself, venus, a gamma within the newly made pack. fluttering of birds, chirping of crickets, and snapping of foliage from walking wolves echoed in her head. the she-wolf opened up her golden optics, each staring outside the den from where she rested. from where she laid, she could see almost every wolf that is inside the den right at this moment. a small snap made her jump, only realize there was still wolves roaming around the area. leaning onto her stomach, she crawled outside the small den to emerge into the foggy terrain. it always bothered her for such a thing to happen, though her strong nose made it easy to figure out what was around here. each den was covered in certain scents, and she remembered each scent well.

the scents of the alpha made her ears perk, wondering what he was doing near the dens. taking a quick glance, the she-wolf ran into some foliage to hide from any male wolves. avoiding them was simple, the white fog always making it hard to see, but her black pelt stood out if they got closer. venus let her golden eyes wonder, unable to really tell what is going on around the camp they have established. slowly her tail tucked between her hind legs, and her heart started to race dramatically. she feared males and she had always done so for a long time. the fear of males always reminded her of the dreadful past, having a miscarriage and mating with so many wolves. her father was aggressive and always got what he wanted. before he left the pack with her mother, he wanted a male heir, but since none of that happened, venus had to bare one for him. taking in a deep breath, the she-wolf poke her head out of the small bush to see if it was safe from any males.

    Mars - Trainee
    talking - thinking

the cool weather was crisp in the air, making it quite cozy to sleep in such a warm den. there has been little number of trainees, making it large for the two wolves to slumber in. black eyes open wide, energy bursting through the small body of fur. ``morning already,`` the wolf exclaimed. mars leaped outside the den, shaking his pelt from debris from the den. his eyes was wide with joy, and he started to bound around like a hyper rabbit. lifting his nose, he tried to see if there was any kill around for him to eat, yet sadly there wasn't. ``let's go do a hunting party,`` the young one barked to no one in particular. mars started to trot everywhere, only to bump into cloudchaser. making a small 'oof' sound, the small trainee fell back onto his rump. ``morning cloudchaser,`` the male wolf trainee barked.

``is there a patrol soon? maybe i can go to, though i'm a little hyper. ooh do you know if there is deer around? i love deer, especially the legs.`` mars kept yapping his jaws, the endless talking starting once more. the trainee tilted his head, before going on with his endless talking. ``how about later we train together? i've always love training with others, even with other trainees! though i dislike losing, so training tends to be a downfall in my day. every time i win though i love making the other wolf happy by playing around!``

    - i'm so sorry for his yappiness.

(( sure! I don't mind, as long as you keep the original creator's copyright :D ))

Whitecaster looked around in the mist, slightly irritated now that so much had gathered. He looked around, accessing the amount of his pack that had begun to stir. The ones who didn't however, would be the last to eat, and he would make sure of this. He stood up from his resting place, and began to poke his head into some of the dens. He saw some still asleep, and he couldn't help but growl slightly at their laziness. "Good Sunrise, everyone. Rise, the lot of you. There's prey to be hunted, and territory to be marked. I need everyone awake, now." He padded around to the middle of camp, his voice echoing through their small clearing. "Lotus. Gather two wolves and begin a hunt. Take a Trainee with you."

Hearing the voice of Whitecaster suddenly, Heaven panicked slightly. Xerxes was still asleep in the den. Quickly ducking back into their resting place, she nudged her pup awake. He was a Trainee now, and she shouldn't have to do this. Xerxes twitched and flopped over, barely awake. "Can't I sleep just a little while longer?" He whined loudly. Heaven hoped Whitecaster haddn't heard him. "No, Xerxes, you must get up." After nudging him some more, she pulled him from the den by his scruff, causing a yelp to escape the Trainees' mouth. He scrambled up, seeing that everyone was already awake. He sheepishly joined the rest of the pack with Heaven following behind him, embarrassed at being pulled from the den by his mother. Hearing that a hunt was beginning, He bolted up, his tail wagging. He hoped he would be able to go out this time. Heaven sat near her excitable son, and couldn't help but admire his enthusiasm.

Finally! Axis moved more towards the middle of the clearing, excited that he might be able to finally stretch his paws outside of camp. His tail thumped against the forest floor. "Oh, oh, oh me! Me!" Axis' paws kneaded the ground as he begged.

Magnus stayed at the edge of camp, not really caring whether he was brought into the hunt or not. He prefered patrol over hunting for prey, anyway. Although he was uninterested, his nose turned towards the direction of the conversation.

  • [center][fancypost=height: auto; width: 400px; font-family: Arial; text-align: justify;][color=white]Morning came without warning, and Lotus was ready to bloom once again. The she-wolf, before standing, raised her healthily moistened nose into the air and drew in a breath. The air was crisp and earthy, and it was evident that the season was Autumn. Adding to the scent, the trees, previously green, now were dappled in bright reds, oranges and yellows, making the misty forest seem as if it had been set ablaze. Lotus yawned, tongue curling up tightly as she squeezed her eyes shut. The creamy red femme upped on her haunches and stretched her forepaws outwards before standing completely up, and shaking out her thick, soft coat. The ground beneath her paw pads was cool and damp as it usually was due to the moisture that constantly lingered throughout their territory. The beta found herself padding into the clearing where she greeted everyone, icy gaze settling on the pack. It was a peaceful morning thus far, and Lotus seemed to be enjoying it.

The alpha's voice reached her ears and the instinctively swiveled towards the source of sound. She gave a firm nod. "Xerxes," Lotus looked at the Trainee, his enthusiasm reminding her of herself as a pup. "Be ready to start a hunt." the Beta spoke, and scanned the clearing once more. Her frosty gaze combed through the pack, and she thought to herself. Lotus liked to be fair when forming Hunts. She chose wolves in even amounts, never picking the same member twice in a row. Amusement sparkles in her eyes when she heard Axis. "Do you wish to join us, then, Axis?" She asked him, the answer evident.

  • Cloudchaser listened to the others pack mates rise from slumber and exit out onto the clearing. Being blind, he had to learn every individuals scent so he could tell who was slacking or not and who was conversing with him. Once he finished stretching, he shook his white fur and sniffed the air. He smelt that Sky had been by but he wasn’t anywhere close by at the moment. He huffed at the thought that the Seer had wandered off again but it wasn’t very important, as long as he didn’t get himself injured or killed. He trusted that Sky was smart enough for that. His ears twitched as he heard the yips of a small energetic pup, bounding near him. Even though he knew the pup was nearing him he didn’t expect him to actually run into his leg. “Hello, little one.” He greeted back as he nudged the small pup lightly, getting a better smell of his scent to identify him.

Cloud found that the small pup was indeed Mars, Mars was quite talkative for a pup but most of the pups had been very rambunctious. As he listened to the pup drone on about random topics he wondered how he never tired himself out with how much he talks. The small pup wanted so much, at least because of all his yapping Cloud would be aware of where he goes or not. “We’ll wait for the Alpha’s orders before we assess if you’ll go on a patrol or not.” Cloud told Mars calmly as he carefully sat down. “And we’ll train later but I won’t go easy on you because you’re a pup.” He warned him, a small playful tone in his voice. He listened attentively as Whitecaster began his rounds and orders.

Raindance left the moist cavern once enough wolves left the den. The place was always so crowded that it was hard to move out if you were in the back and forcing your way through the bodies was considered rude. She could feel someone scowling at her before she had left the den but she had no time to concern herself with a petty wolf. She could care less with what others thought and only focused on her own needs. She looked around the clearing and watched as Whitecaster started his morning routine. She saw Cloudchaser with a small pup accompanying him and other females scattered about. She couldn’t help but notice Venus’ weird display and could never figure out why she insisted on always hiding. She won’t be able to survive like that but it wasn’t her job to help comfort her out of a bush. She sat down and began to groom herself as she listened to Heaven bringing out her pup. Rain would never entertain pups nor did she want to be responsible for one.

Skygaze made his way back over to the pack as he heard more activity stirring around the camp. He bounded carefully into the group, sniffing about the ground to make sure he wouldn’t run into another wolf. He didn’t want to disturb their conference, nor did he especially feel that he would be needed there. He was only a Seer and he knew that was his only worth. Sky couldn’t hunt that well with the sight and if he did manage to catch prey it would always be something small like rabbit, mice, and birds. Though Deer were the clearest things he could make out in his distorted vision, as the large stocky animals were large moving blocks in his view, he doesn’t have enough strength to take one down. Nonetheless, he arrived just as Whitecaster began to scold some wolves. He bumped into Venus, who was hiding in the foliage on accident as he couldn’t make her out. He wasn’t sure who he bumped into but his first thought was Magnus, as he always bumped into the large male wolf sheathed in darkness. If this keeps happening the guy would hate him. But Magnus wouldn’t hide in this foliage so it was another dark wolf. “I’m sorry.” He apologized as he backed up a bit from the mysterious she-wolf.

OOC: It’s alright Norwegian Spirit and I’ll apologize for Sky as well. He can’t make out wolves colored black or white.

(( no its not your fault! if you're exclusively mobile, I'll stop using the fancypost, its no problem! also, I'm encouraging IC drama! so if you have any random minor/major plot ideas, feel free to pm me! :D ))

Whitecaster nodded at Lotus, grateful that the she-wolf got to work so quickly. He then made his way towards Cloudchaser, brushing his tail onto the pack member to alert him of his presence. While some may have questioned his decision to make a blind wolf his beta, but so far, Cloud had shown his competence and worth. "Cloudchaser, pick another wolf. We're going on patrol. The territory's scent is getting a bit weak." He looked to the excitable Trainee. The tip of his tail twitched a bit in amusement. "Take Mars with you. Show him the extent of the territory." Whitecaster moved back to a position in the middle of the clearing, raising his voice to address both the Betas at the same time. "Make sure at least one of you take the Omega. You can decide that one on your own." Looking around at his pack, he watched them move to the places they've been assigned. "The rest of you, protect the camp."

Heaven stood with the others. While she wished to go hunting with them, she knew that she should keep her distance from Xerxes, lest she feel that she should help him. She needed to let him learn on his own, but she felt nervous letting him go outside of their clearing by himself. She sighed as she conflicted inside her head. Xerxes, on the other hand, was too excited. He jumped onto his hind legs, his tail wagging. He all but ran around Lotus, the anticipation getting the best of him. "Are we going now? Please say we're going now!"

Axis' excitement mirrored Xerxes, despite him being older and better trained than the pup. "Yeah! Now!" He was often quite childishly excited.

Magnus stayed in his place. He was expecting this, and hoped the patrol would pick him instead. He felt hunting was too easy for his experiences, and thought that any wolf should be able to do that task. However, if there were a threat to the pack in the woods, he would be more than able to incapacitate it. But, because of his Omega status, he really had no say in this decision.

    talking - thinking

venus heard most of the males doing their own thing, yet she still didn't trust them one bit. a sudden bump made her body freeze, leaping forward with her tail tucked tightly between her legs. a small whine echoed in the small terrain, her eyes running around in panic. ``do-don-don't sa-say sor-sorr-sorry... just do-don't ge-get nea-near me...``the black wolf started to panic, and she already knew she probably started the rest of the pack. pressing her ears forward, and her muzzle high, she started to find another hide out for right now. the scents of the males around her made things worst, her mind racing faster with each new scent. venus couldn't think, not even for a split second, so the wolf just ran towards the outer edges of the camp. her black pelt stood out even more, the fog a lot more thinner where she is now than before. memories from her past started to play, one after the other, making her shake in fear from such a fate.

mars couldn't help but get even more exciter from the response he had gotten. ``I can't wait! even though I'm a trainee, and way smaller than you, I will give it my all and beat you. When I was a pup I still had a lot of play time, though now it's training, but I love training. by love I mean love in us eating meat love. oh! when will there be meat? I'm hungry and I hate being hungry, even if it's for a few minutes I hate being hungry.`` the pup finally went silent as the alpha came, hearing of his words. a small bark and wags of his tail made things all the more exciting. jumping up and down, he started to go around the blind beta. ``I can't wait! maybe we find some food on the way, or maybe an outsider. outsiders aren't all that scary like many say they are, cause I can easily beat one if I wanted to.``

occ; Thank you, and it's no worries jai. I just wanted you to be aware, there is no need to feel bad, I feel bad for making you feel bad Q.Q

As roles and duties were doled out, Stormchill wondered in mild amusement if she would be dealt a space on the hunting party or patrol. Either she did not mind, one would say she needed to harness her team working and hunting a little more, but it seemed to run past through one ear and out the other. Remaining at camp to guard it was no issue either; what did pose interest was the decision for the Omega to be dragged along. She was quite curious how such would be decided and if the Beta would be fighting over who took him or did not take him. Sizing up the newbie to the pack, as he was at his current rank out of being a stranger rather than a criminal, she felt like he had potential to carry out the tasks that the pack underwent. Whether or not he actually did them in acceptable fashion she'd yet to perceive, and it really wasn't her job or say so.
Now that the area of camp had been filled in with remaining wolves that had been in their dens and the air filled with the chatter and commands of wolves, she'd halted on her clawing at the earth and stayed alert should her name be called. Even so, spying from the corner of her eye she recognized the she-wolf she'd seen earlier in the den as Raindance. Now she was here, and she had seemed to manage to arrive just before Whitecaster's scolding. Such was also the case for Sky. Well, wasn't that lucky. As she continued to watch the blind Seer, she also noticed through his nearing a bush that he'd run into Venus, a she-wolf who always seemed to be hiding due to circumstances of the past. The female had and still finds every male a threat to fear, which quite frankly made the flesh beneath her fur sizzle with an angry heat. Not angry at her, nor the males that were of this pack, just angry and she'd yet to decipher why.
A yipping from what she thought was a pup broke her away from these thoughts, well she was half right. The excited yelping from Mars, Xexes, and Axis could of drawn any focused wolf's attention away if for just a moment. How amusing it may have been for her if she ha cared for the idea of pups. But to her the idea was sickening, and she made every effort to avoid them and especially wolves who continued to be childish past that youth. Perhaps it would be better for her nerves to remain on guard duty than to test the limits of her temper. While she did pretty well with keeping her tongues inside her jaws around her superiors, children just seemed to be a different story she didn't want a part of.
Speaking of superiors, her Betas were rather intriguing; for one Cloud was blind. One would not have thought a wolf would have been placed in such a position with a disability like that, but he was doing well enough. And he certainly had exceeded her expectations despite the occasional tripping over or walking into new comers. Lotus was simply nice to look at and while seemingly kind-hearted, Stormchill would have preferred more aggression demonstrated. But Whitecaster picked the two for a reason, and she would not openly question the decision made.

Cryptic had risen at the snapping of Whitecaster's command; Oh dear, it seems I've overslept. Cryptic had been having a fit of nasty dreams during the night, they seemed rather mundane when he woke but disturbed his slumber nonetheless. None of that mattering now, he raced swiftly from his den pushing to get outside on the account of his tardiness. "Apologies", he spoke in a half huff from his overuse of energy just to get out of the den in a hurry. The lot of the pack was outside and appeared to be tasking a patrol and hunt but he'd missed who was going and who would remain at camp, or if anything had even been finalized. He quietly chuckled at the Trainees and Axis whom her jumping about fervently, too ready to be on their way with whatever roles they'd been permitted. Cryptic re;axed after a final worked breath to calm himself. He further studied the group with sun-like orbs, glazing all with their amber gaze.
Poor Venus was shying away from the majority of everyone in a bush, still too afraid of males to even take part fully in such important things like role call. Sky must had bumped into her, the blind but capable Seer, and from what his ears strained to pick up, was also speaking in apology. The Betas were mostly looking glorious as ever, Cryptic found it rather entrancing that a Beta could be blind and still perform well, but he often refrained from complimenting him on the matter in light that the act may actually offend Cloud.

  • // @eritasum I wouldn't want to stop everyone from making their posts pretty... I, on the other hand, will stay away from the fancies until I can get my laptop back. It would make me feel pretty bad to have everyone change their styles just because of one person,,

I'm open for most any plot as well, and if you wanted, I could even start up the chat + plot thread if you guys would need it. I can try and think up some ideas. I'm also thinking of making another wolf or two, so~

And @chat café, it's fine, ahaha... I just didn't want everyone thinking I was lazy and didn't read the posts, because I did try... heh. //

Lotus flicked an ear, her tail swaying in amusement at all the excitement. There were positive aspects to Axis's childishness, even though he had outgrown his Trainee days. The pack would have been awfully quiet without the excitement. She eyed the wolves that would accompany her, feeling much like a pupsitter after the choice. But, oh well. Who would teach them to behave if not a Beta or their mothers? "Are you two ready, then?" she questioned them, readying herself to go. "We'll be along the south-eastern borders. I believe there's a family of caribou that's been wandering about there." the she-wolf pointed out before turning her back and padding off. She flicked her tail as a signal to follow, an anticipation welling up in her chest to finally begin the Hunt.

Lotus was a skilled huntress, but her talents there very much exceeded her combat skills, in which the fae could have used some practice. Lotus was not a bad fighter, per se, but instead found that her niche simply resided elsewhere in hunting and leading. Her lithe build and lean muscles allowed for speed and agility, enhancing her Hunt capabilities significantly. She scented the air to be sure of herself, satisfied with the outcome- there was definitely something taste in-store for the mist-shrouded pack.

  • Cloudchaser could smell the strong scent of his alpha approaching and was greeted by the swipe of his tail. Cloud knew that Caster did such an act to make sure he was aware of his presence but it was always an easy reminder of his lost sight. Cloud pushed those negative thoughts aside and instead focused on what needed to be done, he was grateful that Caster would still relinquish this role to him even though he was blind. He nodded as Caster gave his commands and stood up before glancing around, mostly taking in the scents of the different wolves that littered the clearing. It was a hard choice but he had no other options, “Stormchill, Magnus, you’re coming with us.” He ordered sternly, he would handle the Omega as he knew Lotus wouldn’t call on him. The noise of the pups and Axis were getting irritable though, their voices drowned out any other important sounds he could hear. Cloud could feel the small pup circling him as he began to turn, careful enough to not knock the pup down. “Remember, once we’re out in the woods you should calm down but stay close.” He warned the pup for his own safety.

Skygaze heard the hidden wolf jump and from her actions he quickly realized that it was no other than Venus. He had surely frightened her as he knew she was greatly afraid of males and he was one. It made him want to apologize even more but something pervaded his thoughts and other words left his mouth before the she-wolf left him. “Ah…your worries will come to an end, you’ll find happiness that would help you change your ways.” Sky told her, his voice still monotone but it held a tiny bit of happiness. He couldn’t help but give random fortunes as they always happened randomly. He was happy that the scared wolf would be in a better state in the near future than she is now for he had always worried about her. Whether she heard her fortune or not was not his responsibility. He than continued sniffing about before finding a place to sit out in the open, he hadn’t missed anything as he wasn’t late for anything he was needed for. Caster gave him his space and involved him in things if he felt that Sky needed to be checked on or was curious if the Great Alpha had contacted him. Though Sky only approached Caster if he had a vision, and this morning there was nothing important to report.

Skygaze himself mainly saw his own duties as a mediator for the pack. He loved and cared for everyone and their well-being. He liked to counsel those that he could and hear them out so that he could listen to their worries if need be. Of course there were wolves who felt they didn’t need this, like Stormchill, Raindance, and Magnus and much more. He never forced this on anyone and would let fate tell who would chance upon him. The sounds of the pups and Axis called to his attention and he found such vibrant acts to be a bit funny. He listened as he began to groom himself and heard Cryptic’s late entrance; he hoped he wouldn’t get scolded too harshly. He would also make sure to pray for the Betas and Alphas patrols and hunts to be a safe journey. Though he didn’t think anything would happen as the Great Alpha would’ve foretold him.

Raindance continued her morning groom, listening as the Betas picked out their wolves and the Alpha issue his commands. She’d have to stay with the other wolves and guard the territory which was really nothing special. Nothing ever happened and if it did Sky would warn them beforehand. Somehow the aspect of that happening today made her a bit excited as she would love to fight a stranger and kick him out the territory. Whenever they had to remain guard she figured that the other hidden mission was also to protect the Seer. If the Seer were to be injured or killed at camp than everyone would be held responsible. They would also lose a vital component to the pack. It’s not like she believed in this whole Great Alpha thing but so far whatever Skygaze says comes true. That’s why he easily earned some of her trust as he never spouted out lies to anyone.

Whitecaster looked upon his pack. "Do well out there." He began to pad out of the camp towards the North, expecting the rest of his patrol to follow. He figured they would sweep along the borders of their territory from the North side, then go around until they reached camp in the West. While some might want to expand their territory, Whitecaster knew that their pack had yet to be strong enough to maintain a large enough space. Usually, there was nothing to report, but it never hurt to check.

Heaven was happy to see her offspring head off to his Trainee duties. She hoped the Great Alpha would protect him for her. She felt a little useless having to stay at camp, but knew it was important in it's own right.

Xerxes quickly followed Lotus, his smaller legs thumping against the ground. He wanted to take down the animal by himself! He knew he could if he was given the chance. He almost ran ahead a little, but stopped before he had gotten too far. He couldn't remember where the South-Eastern border was. Axis also began to run ahead a little, except he knew where they were going. He was excited to be able to run in the forest again.

Magnus' tail swayed in slight approval. At least he didn't have to hunt. He stood and shook his fur out. Walking towards the middle of camp finally, he passed after Whitecaster, making sure to stay at his place in the rear, lest he get scolded.

    Venus - Gamma
    talking - thinking
    [center]

as the male was no longer her fear, she quietly walked outside the foliage to see some of the males already gone to patrols. breathing out a sigh of relief, she glanced around to see what is there to do. there were patrols for the borders and hunting, so none of that concerns her right now, but she felt like doing something. if only i didn't run away, that was her main thought. if she had stayed there would've been a chance but now she is stuck on guard duty until the returning patrols. the returning patrols meant the males coming back and she hated that thought. shivers ran down the black pelted wolf before she shook it off. the early morning was calming her slowly, resting right near the entrance of the gamma den. pressing her ears forward, she tried to pick up any sounds around the area.

each scent had a different story behind it, and each sound leads to a new adventure. strong scents of her pack was still around, since she was still in their main camp. there were a few wolves still here, about to leave for a patrol, while others had already left. venus is well when it comes to tracking, one of her main abilities basically. birds chirping echoed in her head once more before they flew away somewhere far. the young wolf stood up to stretch, before slowly rising her tail. feeling of dominance was wonderful, the free and independent life was something she wouldn't mind having. each muscle in her body was seen through her small frame as she stretched, only to relax a few moments afterwards.

    Mars - Trainee
    talking - thinking
    [center]

the young trainee nods his head, wanting to get it over with. ``ok! but when i return i will be all the talkative i want, maybe even during the training session too! ooh that would be so fun. you think we would find anything out there? i still want to see a loner cause loners are terrible, plus there are those predators that still get wolves like me. hawks for instance! there have been stories of wolves being taken away by hawks, and i think it would be cool but scary. you get to fly and yet die at the same time, in a way.`` the rambling went on more and more, his little maw unable to stop itself. his small body stop its bouncing, only to stay by the beta's side. his goal isn't really becoming the alpha spot, or beta, but to act like them. they look so high and mighty, with every wolf looking up at them like they were the stars themselves. mars wanted that, he wanted to be recognized as a grand wolf that no one could forget.

    - i'm the one who created mars and i already think he is annoying....

occ; lol, Norwegian if it helps, Strom is just easily annoyed by pups, and doesn't care for them. #continuouslyangrymother; *cries* Stupid short post

Stormchill - Your Femme Fatale, Gamma

The she-wolf, with her off white canvas painted with smokes an darker blotches of cream, steadily paced after the patrol to her position in line. Storm inputted herself between the Trainee, Mars, and the Omega, Magnus. Not exactly the greatest of wolves to march about with, but the Omega by default had to remain in the back, and she was not at a place in her mind where she thought it logical to trust the new addition with the pup. Despite er taut nerves and unfashionable temperament, she'd give the effort of keeping an eye on the yammering ball of inexperienced fluff. While not enjoying the idea or even presence of the pup, she would be lying to herself if she did not realize how happy a small part of her was about how the pup was not growing up as she did. Where bad mannerisms seeped into all the pack under Blackwater's reign. That thought, while short and fleeting, kept her mouth and jaws from lashing out- for an certain amount of time.

Whilst her surroundings consisted of the two wolves and those leading in the front: Whitecaster & Cloud, she kept her ears alert and swiveling every so often to pick up any irregular noises. Nose also sniffing the atmosphere periodically and eyes scanning with swift, casual glances.

Cryptic - Your Boy Wonder, Gamma

The ticked, brown male would naturally be left to guard the came with the others who went unnamed for the hunt and patrol. He was absolutely okay with that, or may indifferent yet finding a positive aspect of whatever the choices would have come to. While guarding the camp which rarely led to any exciting events he could socialize a little bit with his pack mates.

  • Hearing the rustling paw-steps of the pack waking up around her, Sage blinked her eyes at the sunlight as she woke up from her deep sleep. Reluctantly standing up, the young wolf yawned and looked back at her nest longingly. She was having such a good dream about...what was it again? It slipped from her mind in the matter of seconds. Stifling another heavy yawn, she looked around to see which wolves were still in camp.
