The rush, the thrill, the chase, the race.

    It was all so exhilarating!

The wind rushing through my cloak, the feel of my pounding heart, the burn in my running legs. The yell of the angry guards, the sound of the hooves of charging horses, the knowledge that I have yet again proven my worth. I have learned to love these things, to treasure them as dear as life itself, since this is what keeps me alive. Yes, I am outlawed, and yes I must hide who I am wherever I go, but those who gaze upon me aren't living my life. They do not know the struggles I live daily.

Running, stealing, hiding, fighting. These are the only things I have ever known. Even as a young girl, I was raised in the shadows and learned such a trade quickly. If it can be called a trade at all. My name is not known, at least not my real name. All that is known of me is my threat, and my cloak. Guards now watch for me, awaiting my capture. I know, one day, my punishment will be death.

And so I run. I do what I must to survive, and to keep the peace between my own blood. To fail to do so would be the end of me, one way or another. I have never known safety, or that of riches. No, I have only known danger and shadows. This is all I know, and this is how it will be until I go to my grave.

{ Muse A is a well renowned thief in the kingdom, though no one really knows their name. The only things that are grounded facts are that they are dressed in a cloak of black, and they belong to a small band of thieves that roam the kingdom. Everything else has been rumored to try and form some kind of person behind the mysterious cloak. It is said that they only chose to strike when it is dark, further hiding her identity. They are said to be the most talented of the band of thieves.

Muse B is the Prince of the land. They have heard over and over the rumors and the terror that plagued their kingdom because of these thieves. They strive to bring in these thieves in hopes to restore the peace within their kingdom. However, their resolve is quickly broken when fate decides to change the playing field.

    Muse B comes into contact with a young village girl while out [reason is up for creativity]. They hit it off well, and dispirit the fact that the King wouldn't agree, Muse B continues to find the village girl. It becomes like a Cinderella story, and they begins to feel themselves falling for the commoner. A masquerade is held for their birthday [age up to you] and they invite the commoner to join the festivities, even if it wasn't highly looked upon. Little do they know that the commoner is the very enemy they are hoping to lock within the dungeon. }

(thank you so much for joining!)

Evelyn smiled as she ran her fingers through her long golden waves. She loved to let her hair hang loose, always keeping it soft and well brushed. She hated how tangled it could get beneath her black cloak, but that was a luxury that had to be left behind when you live a life like hers. She turned away from her small mirror, looking around the house she occupied. It belonged to both she and her father. He was gone already, like normal.

She picked up the small sack that held her money, the reward for getting a job done. It was small, just a spy job really, but it offered enough to get her food for the next few days. Her father would be gone to the neighboring town, so she was on her own for a little while. She looked at the money, feeling now sorrow or guilt for the ways she got money. No, she had grown numb to that long ago. When you're the daughter of a band of thieves, you had to learn how to push all feeling aside to survive and prove you could pull your own weight. Being a girl in this business was hard enough, being the leader's daughter meant things were assumed to just be given to you. She hated being seen like this, and worked hard over the years to prove it.

Now she is their best thief. She smiled at her titles she had received in the kingdom. "Runner". "Black bandit". It amused her. However, today she was neither. She would simply be Evelyn Fray, a commoner girl who needed to by some food to eat. She laced the bag around her wrist and grabbed her everyday, simple, brown cloak to lay over her shoulders. Her black one was hidden away in the forest, used only for nighttime thieving. Fastening it around her neck, she stepped towards the door, smiling at the warmth of the sunlight.

Today would be an easy day, no jobs needed to get done. A little down time to relax and then she'd be back at it within a few days. For now, she would enjoy being the commoner girl. No one ever suspected anything.

  • (You're welcome)

Emile gave a soft sigh as his father dismissed him. He knew that the black bandit was still at large. Now his father wanted him to go off to some village to search. The prince walked out of the throne room, pushed his blond hair behind his ears and headed to the stables. He was on his own for his father had no want nor desire to go roaming through his own land. Emile reached the stables and requested his horse be tacked up and ready.

A few moments later, his black thoroughbred was ready and he mounted. Riding from the stables, he headed down the main path to the village. It didn't take him long to reach the village, and it was very small. He rode through, looking around the village before catching a glimpse of a blond villager and rode towards her.

"Miss, may I speak with you?"

Evelyn looked up when she heard a voice addressing her, her green gaze landing on a young man coming towards her on a black thoroughbred. She immediately recognized him as the Prince. She had been trained at a young age to know who he was and who worked for him. She was to always avoid being seen by him and them.

She bowed slightly, knowing she was not the bandit today. He would not know who she is. "Your Majesty," she said politely, standing up after her bow. "How can I be of service?" Her gaze scanned over him, quickly making sure of where his weapons would be if he had any. A good thief had an eye for danger. She needed to know in case this went down hill.

  • He looked down at her, she was certainly something. Pretty curly blond hair and a sharp gaze. He dismounted off his horse and gave a soft smile to her. He didn't know what drew him to her, but something strung them together almost like an invisible cord. His gaze watched her before his gelding nosed his back with a snort.

"I was wondering, if you uh, have seen or know of anyone seeing the 'black bandit' around here?" He asked, even though he wished he had some other topic of conversation so that he didn't have to leave once this was done. For some reason, Emile wanted to get to know this person, this girl. His father was constantly pushing marriage on him, but he didn't want to marry for nothing, he wanted to marry for love. Even this was an absurd thought, especially for royalty. He had always been taught that marriage was a necessity, something he needed to be king. It didn't matter who he married, as long as he did so and produced heirs. It didn't matter who he married, or why, just as long as he did so by the time he was 24/25 years old. Emile was almost 24 now and his father was harping on him even more so.

Evelyn felt a small thrill run through her at the mention of her little name, but kept her composure. Years of holding a double identity wasn't going to be waited at this moment. He was the Prince. Messing up would doom her for sure. She knew she would die for her crimes, but she wasn't about to die this soon.

She shook her head slightly, strands of her blonde waves moving along the edges of her face. "No, your highness," she said, "I have heard of the rumors, but I haven't seen this 'black bandit' or know anyone who has." She tilted her head slightly, deciding to humor herself with a bit of information. "Is she as dangerous as I've heard?"

  • He nodded as he listened to her words. He was also shocked internally when she decided to continue the conversation. He watched as her hair moved as she shook her head and couldn't help but be glad she decided to continue their talk.

"She is dangerous, but not murderous dangerous. If you see her, send a telegram to the castle" He stated, his gaze focused on her, while he heard the other villagers talking, especially about him being there. His horse pushed his nose against Emile's back with a nicker. "Thunder" He glanced behind to his horse, who bobbed his head with a snort.

It seemed her reputation was serving her well. No, she had never murdered anyone, and didnt plan to anytime soon. However, there we're plenty in her gang that had. That seemed to be plenty to cause people to fear without her getting her own hands dirty.

She nodded to the Prince. "I'll keep that in mind, "she told him and then looked to the horse behind him. "He's beautiful by the way." Evelyn had her own horse as well, though she remained at the hideout, hidden away. Evelyn went to visit as often as she could.

  • He listened to her, his mind wandering to places it shouldn't go. He thought of knowing this girl more, inviting her to his 24th birthday masquerade. When she commented on his horse, he sent a smile towards her. He rarely smiled to anyone so this was a shock to him.

"Thank you. He's from the original blood-line of the original kings" He stated, patting the horses thick black neck. Thunder knew he was being talked about, and Emile chuckled when the gelding arched his neck. He also raised his head high and lifted his tail a little in pride.

Evelyn chuckled softly as the horse reacted to his comments. Her own horse, Gypsy, would react to her own words sometimes. She looked between him and his horse, seeing that there was indeed a bond between them.

She nodded at his words. "Fitting for a horse such as himself," she said as she smiled gently. It felt odd that she was still talking to the prince. Thieves avoided royalty as much as possible. Hopefully, none from her gang were watching them now. She surely wouldn't hear the end of it from them. As if proving her worth wasn't hard enough.

  • "He's quite a character and full of himself, so don't inflate his ego" Emile chuckled. He had never felt this, happy? joyous? There was something about this girl. Thunder tossed his head and snorted, shoving his muzzle into Emile's back. He rolled his eyes at the gelding before focusing back on her again.

"So, I know this is going against common rules, but lets say I wouldn't be too mad if some blond showed up at my 24th masquerade ball" He knew it was sudden, and probably stupid to do, but he couldn't leave without opening that door. He had to know more about her, but he knew his father wouldn't approve.

  • ~white rose~

    ( Nineteen ~ College girl )

Evelyn paused as she took in his words, her haze showing her surprise at the offer. "Your Highness is inviting a commoner like me?" She truly did find it odd, however, he was also proving to be a bit different from royals she had come to meet over the years. Yet, he still didnt know her identity. This could all change if who she really was came to be revealed.

"I am truly flattered," she said, offering a smile. No thief has ever been within the wall of the palace, at least not by open invitation. Those who have tried get too cocky too quick She knew this would certainly grow her reputation among those who served her father.

  • He watched as she digested the information, and hoped that she was thinking about going. His gaze looked around the village, watching the people still smirking and laughing. Emile knew that it was odd for a prince to be speaking with a common person like her, but he couldn't help himself. If his father or his mother caught on to what he was doing, he was sure that they'd keep him in the castle forever.

"Yeah, I mean. These balls are always full of royals, it'd be nice to have someone different" Emile said, rubbing his hand on the back of his neck with a small grin on his face. His horse sneezed then, and Emile groaned a little as he looked over at the gelding.

  • ~white rose~

    ( Nineteen ~ College girl )

Evelyn grinned at his small confession and drew a breath. Why not? A chance to experience the palace, to atually possess two opposite double identies? Sounded like fun. Besides, no one would know who she was anyways. What's the harm?

"Well, I guess I will try to find something suitable to wear, "she said, though surprised she was accepting. Besides, what did she own that would be acceptable at a ball?

    [center]

    TEMPLATE ©BOKEH | #BOKEHFANCY | PREMADE TEMPLATE

  • He watched her with a focused gaze as he thought of the ball. It justmay be more enjoyable with her there than him alone with royal
stuck-ups. This was one reason why he kept to himself in his room or went out on rides by himself.

"Whatever you can find I'm sure will be fine" He told her, watching her with an interested gaze. He looked around and saw a guard who was assigned to this town looking over.

"Well, I must be on my way. I hope to see you" Emile nodded, before mounting his horse. He didn't need his father finding out about his extended interaction right now. Turning his horse away, he rode back towards the castle.

  • ~white rose~

Evelyn watched as the young Prince rode away and then continued on her way to the shops around. She found herself wondering how the night of the ball would play out. It certainly would be interesting. She just hoped that her father would remain blind to her interaction today. No doubt he would have some words with her for speaking to royals.

  • Emile headed back towards the castle, making his way through the trees. He kicked up the horse into a trot and enjoyed the nice day. He hoped that the guards didn't see him. Eventually Emile broke through the woods and rode up to the stable block. Dismounting, he handed Thunder's reins to the stable hand before walking up to the front of the castle.

"Prince Emile your father wants a word with you" The guard at the front of the castle door stated. Emile rolled his eyes and nodded. He walked through the castle door and down the hall. The man walked up to the throne room door and pushed it open. Inside stood a tall throne and on the throne was a tall man with dark black hair and steel blue eyes.

"Emile, my guards informed me you were speaking to a common person for a little too long. Care to explain?" He asked, his voice stern and tone harsh.

"Father, I was gaining information on the black bandit, that is all" Emile stated.

"That better be the only reason" He raised one eyebrow and Emile nodded, before dismissing himself without any care for his father. He walked out of the throne room and down the hall, up the stairs and into his room.

Evelyn looked through her small basket as she counted all the things she had gathered. Fresh bread, cheese, thread, cloth. A decent buy for the money she had. Besides, that was all she really needed. Evelyn had this commitment to getting only what she needed when she needed it. Most thieves thought that way to a point, but Evelyn usually carried it further than most thieves.

She began to make her way back home when she noticed some movement beyond her, close to the woods near the road to her house. She lived towards the outskirts of town, privacy reasons of course. She watched carefully with her trained eye. Oh no... She noticed soon enough that it was one of the thieves of her group. They've noticed me...
